A teenager hurls a jackknife at a bus on line 908 in the Bruckhausen district of Duisburg. It smashes through a window and almost hits a passenger.
According to the Duisburg police, a teenager hurled a jackknife at a bus on route 908 at around 9.10 pm on Monday. The bus was travelling on Dieselstraße in Bruckhausen when the driver suddenly heard a loud bang. The knife smashed through one of the rear glass panes and narrowly missed the head of a passenger (17).
The 17-year-old told the police that the bus passed a group of about five youths at the height of a mosque. One of them lunged and threw the knife at the bus. Police officers found the folding knife on a seat and seized it.
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the group: The teenagers are said to be about 15 to 16 years old and 1.65 to 1.70 metres tall. One of them was wearing a beige-black waistcoat with blue jeans and a baseball cap. Information can be given to the Criminal Investigation Department 34 by calling 0203 2800.
