How often do you actually have to stab people in Germany until the judiciary at some point agrees to issue an arrest warrant? Diyako G., a so-called “German-Iraqi”, an Islamist dangerer, who had fatally injured a 23-year-old with a knife in Stolberg ( North Rhine-Westphalia) during the night of Sunday, was now jailed for dangerous bodily harm – but only because he had already stabbed someone once.It is a disturbing message in two respects, with which the tabloid “Bild” is making a headline: “Islamist stabbed before!”First of all, this probably means that an Islamist perpetrator in the most diverse Germany of all time could still be at large after the knife attack. And secondly, that he was taken into custody only because of the “danger of re-offending” – otherwise perhaps not even this would have happened.
Perhaps the public prosecutor’s office felt compelled to point out these circumstances because one or the other do-gooder might have reacted with indignation to the news of the arrest of the IS supporter – after all, the father of Sunday’s victim had been depicted on an AfD advertising poster for the North Rhine-Westphalian local elections. It is certainly understandable for the do-gooders that this must not have been an attack at all, but a “sign against racism” of this cultural enricher. And the “Allahu Akbar”, which Diyako G. shouted out while he was committing the crime, was a cry for peace and tolerance.
