German helps an Afghan to get a job and the latter kills him in gratitude

In the trial for malicious murder before the Ulm Regional Court, the accused confessed to the crime.

At the beginning of the trial on Tuesday, the 24-year-old spoke in detail about the accusations and his relationship with the alleged victim. The accused admitted to stabbing his 54-year-old work colleague with a knife in June 2021.

The Afghan stated that he had learned of the death of his mother in Afghanistan the day before the crime. He blamed his colleague for this death.

The latter had brought bad things upon his family and he had therefore had to kill him. Shortly before the crime, he had said to the 54-year-old: “You killed my mother”. In several dreams, he had also seen animals that had come over him, the man testified in court.

According to the court, the accused had already received psychiatric treatment before. A psychiatrist is also participating in the trial as an expert witness.

According to his own statement, the accused was good friends with the family of the alleged victim. According to the accused’s testimony, the 54-year-old had procured the accused’s employment at the company in Munderkingen (Alb-Donau district) where both men worked during the crime.

According to a forensic technician, the 54-year-old suffered at least nine knife wounds – one of which went into the heart and was fatal.
