German Greens are responsible for the energy crisis

While Western Europe, and especially Germany, is experiencing skyrocketing energy prices, Russia can now play a strategic trump card with its gas reserves. To ease the energy crisis in Europe, Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin has ordered the gas valves to be opened again in November.

The Russian president instructed the state-owned company Gazprom to increase deliveries to Germany and Austria as soon as the underground storage facilities in Russia are replenished, as reported by the TASS agency.

Gazprom boss Miller announced that his company could start doing so after November 8.

Recently, Putin pointed out on several occasions that deliveries in excess of the contractually agreed quantities had already been made. In view of the record gas prices, he had also repeatedly promoted the rapid commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 Baltic Sea pipeline. The line is completed and ready for operation, but has yet to be certified in Germany. At the same time, there is growing political pressure – especially from the Greens – not to put Nord Stream 2 into operation.

Western media and politicians have repeatedly accused Putin recently of trying to put Europeans under pressure with rising energy prices, but Moscow has rejected this. In fact, Putin has long been pointing out that the energy crisis could be solved if Nord Stream 2 enters into operation.
