German government ignores court ruling against 2G

Even after a court ruling in Lower Saxony banning the 2G rule in shops, the German government continues to apply special Corona requirements for retailers. In Berlin, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit defended the access rule for vaccinated and convalescent people (2G), shrugging off the judicial imperative.

The federal government is also convinced that the Infection Protection Act is “clear” on this matter and it has been ignoring the court ruling.

The Lower Saxony Higher Administrative Court overturned the 2G rule in retail on Thursday, which the federal and state governments had agreed nationwide at the beginning of December. The trade association protested against the regulation, and several courts have already received similar complaints, reported the Epoch Times.

Therefore, if a court ruling in Germany stops the “considerable encroachments on fundamental rights”, and this goes against the government, then it is simply ignored. No government official has expressed the slightest concern about democracy or the separation of powers.

Recently, the same situation was witnessed in Belgium. A court in Namur declared the use of the Corona passport in Wallonia illegal, but the government simply ignored the ruling.
