Centuries before the publication of Paris Match, verse 41 of Sura 8, “The Loot,” lays down the rules for dividing the proceeds of a robbery or theft made or taken by unbelievers – as long as there are any left, of course! Among Muslims, on the other hand, people are not allowed to steal from each other, and the punishment is especially severe!

And know that of every booty you have collected, one-fifth belongs to Allah, the Messenger, his next of kin, the orphans, the poor, and the travelers (in need), if you believe in Allah and what we have sent down upon our servant, on the Day of Decision*: The Day when the two groups clashed, and Allah is Almighty.

I can’t imagine that the journalist who wrote this article would do this if he wasn’t sure of his matter, given the risks he is taking, already the risk of a trial or some other much worse harm for sowing corruption on earth (note: criticism of Islam, verse 32, sura 5, this verse is often shortened to claim that Islam is not murderous). To be on the safe side, this information, which is not or dates back to the 7th century, should be matched with the sermon of an imam associated with Al Qaeda….
What should one conclude from this?
That some – I dare not say the* – mosques are not very squeamish about the origin of certain funds, I dare not say donations, that are transferred to them….

This is nothing more than a specious attempt to justify
an immoral act, because it is beneficial. This form of corruption
leads to ever more depravity for the benefit, of those without
any ethos or moral standards. Thus, the society which allows
this conduct, declines and condemns its citizens, either in part
or in whole a very unhealthy and bleak future.
Now even this rot has invaded America, rising the question as to
whether that nation has joined the international band of thieves.
This vector is always present, no matter which part of the globe;
hence vigilance is the order of the day, least we be overcome.
