The man, a 39-year-old Tunisian, had left the Var region with the couple’s three children a few days before the discovery of the dead body of his 31-year-old wife, also a Tunisian national, in their flat in Saint-Raphaël. The autopsy had dated the date of death as December 20 or 21.
