The 29-year-old man, who was known for his Islamist radicalisation, was arrested at the end of September after a loaded machine gun and a knife were found in his home.
It was a house search that ended up being successful. According to information from Actu17, a 29-year-old man, who was listed in the S file because of his Islamist radicalisation, was charged on September 26 by an investigating judge at the Paris anti-terrorism pole with “criminal association for the preparation of crimes against persons” and “violation of weapons law in connection with a terrorist enterprise”. He was subsequently remanded in custody. This information was confirmed to Actu17 by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT).
(…) According to our information, the investigators of the criminal investigation department of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), who were in charge of carrying out the house search, discovered a submachine gun and 9mm calibre ammunition in the house of the man who had been under surveillance by the secret services for several years. A knife, a balaclava, three mobile phones and two computers were also confiscated from his house.
