When his wife Kristin L. was on her way home by bike on the street Elxlebener Weg in Arnstadt in July, L. allegedly deliberately sped towards her at between 70 and 80 km/h. The speed limit on this road was just 30 km/h.The 40-year-old was hit by the SUV and thrown several metres in the crash before hitting the ground.
