Antifa ransacks Leipzig after Greens campaign for them

On a campaign poster of the Green party in Germany, a woman with a hammer and sickle tattoo on her chest, a person wearing a shirt emblazoned with the Antifa flag symbol, and a building door stating “Antifa zone” was unashamedly on display.

The poster was created by German artist Laura Breiling for the German Green Party, which holds 67 seats in parliament, in view of the upcoming elections. The 2021 German federal elections will be held on Sunday, September 26. According to a report from the Post Millennial, the advertisement was seen only days before thousands of Antifa rioters descended on the German city of Leipzig.

According to information from FOL, Chancellor Merkel’s successor Armin Laschet now favors a Jamaica alliance made up of the Union parties, the Greens and the FDP due to the lack of majorities. But because the Greens prefer a coalition with the SPD, the Union has offered a Green politician, Katrin Göring-Eckardt, the position of Federal President.

With only days until the federal election in Germany and a few more months until the formal end of the Merkel era, we see a sharply divided country and a leaderless union. And Antifa has seized the moment to advance its agenda.

In the latest iteration of the LGBTQ + Black Lives Matter flag, the word “clit” can be seen behind playing children and a message that reads “Houses belong to those who live there”. Antifa is known for illegally occupying buildings in German cities as in Berlin’s Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district.

An estimated 5000 Antifa protesters marched from the center of Leipzig to the Connewitzer Kreuz on Saturday, hurling bottles, stones and firecrackers at police officers, attacking a police station and setting up burning barricades.
