A convicted terrorist is being housed in a subsidised £300,000 three-bed council flat in north London despite praying for British soldiers to be slaughtered.
Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, a 43-year-old who has been convicted of terrorism offences on two separate occasions, uses TikTok to spread radical ideology to young people from a subsidised property in Enfield.
The property, valued at approximately £300,000, sits within close proximity of several primary schools.
Rahman, a father of four who once served as the closest ally of notorious hate preacher Anjem Choudary, has been broadcasting what security experts describe as “highly toxic” anti-British tirades to impressionable teenagers on the social media platform.
He also works as an accountant and operates a consultancy focused on cultural education from his north London base.
His first conviction came in 2007, when he was among three men found guilty of soliciting the murder of Western troops in Iraq.
He had been captured on film addressing a rally through a loudspeaker, demanding that British soldiers be sent home in body bags.
He declared: “We want to see their blood running in the streets of Baghdad.”
Nine years later, he was convicted alongside Choudary for swearing allegiance to the Islamic State, with both receiving sentences of five and a half years.
Choudary is now behind bars for life after being found guilty of directing the banned terrorist organisation al-Muhajiroun.
Rahman was released from prison in 2018.
While incarcerated at Belmarsh, he successfully claimed £1,300 in compensation after lodging a complaint about a strip-search.
