Germany cannot prove the AfD wants to ‘overthrow democracy’

MCC Head of the Centre of History Ralph Schoellhammer says the German government wants to ban the Alternative for Germany party. “The problem is that in order to ban the AfD, which is where they want to go, but you would have to prove that the AfD in fact wants to overthrow the democratic system in Germany,” Mr Schoellhammer told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “All of this is permitted under the Constitution. “They define German and being German as an ethnic concept.”
