This was first reported by the newspaper ‘Braunschweiger Zeitung’. The public prosecutor’s office confirmed the investigation according to ‘t-online’. The alleged crime took place more than three weeks ago, on August 10, at the ‘Wasserwelt’ leisure pool in Braunschweig.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, the 15-year-old initially molested the 12-year-old in the water at the facility. The rape then took place in a changing room.
The exact sequence of events is still being investigated – in addition, further evidence is being compared in order to gain more precise findings.
According to the Braunschweiger Zeitung newspaper, the police initially did not publicise the case because the victim of the alleged rape was still so young.
