The Catholic Church erupts after the euthanasia death of Noelia Castillo and delivers its harshest criticism in years

The death of Noelia Castillo, carried out under current euthanasia laws, has triggered one of the Catholic Church’s most forceful reactions in more than a decade .
The Vatican and several bishops’ conferences issued unusually severe statements, accusing governments that promote these policies of “turning human life into an administrative procedure” and “crossing a moral line no society should dare to cross.”

The reaction has quickly fueled debate both inside and outside Spain.
For the Church, Castillo’s case confirms that euthanasia laws —presented as a social achievement— are leaving vulnerable patients unprotected and opening the door to irreversible decisions without adequate safeguards.

The strongest remarks came from Church authorities who described the death as “a collective failure,” condemning the fact that the State facilitated the process rather than offering alternatives such as proper palliative care, emotional support, or advanced psychological assistance.
“The value of life does not depend on its usefulness or its suffering,” they lamented in one of the statements released this morning.

While progressive groups defend euthanasia as an “individual right,” the Church argues that such a view reduces human dignity to a matter of personal convenience and sets a dangerous precedent.
The case is stirring strong reactions among pro-life organizations, doctors, legal experts, and patient associations calling for an urgent review of current legislation.

The debate is far from minor.
Noelia Castillo’s death may become a turning point and revive a discussion that some political parties believed was already settled.
The coming hours will be decisive: more official statements are expected, along with reactions from political leaders and potentially new social demonstrations.

One thing is clear: this case has struck at the heart of today’s moral and healthcare debate, and the Church’s response is not only severe but also a direct warning to governments that have normalized euthanasia as just another service within the public health system.

Former EU Border Force Chief Faces Investigation for ‘Crimes Against Humanity’ over Migrant Pushbacks

Wikimedia Commons. Philippe BUISSIN, © European Union, 1998 – 2026

Former EU border force chief and current Member of European Parliament Fabrice Leggeri faces a judicial investigation in France over complaints logged by far-left open borders activists over alleged pushbacks of migrant boats in the Mediterranean.

In the latest apparent lawfare drive against those who seek to protect Europe’s borders from illegal immigration, the Paris Court of Appeal will reportedly investigate former Frontex boss Fabrice Leggeri for alleged “crimes against humanity”, Le Monde reported.

According to the Parisian paper, the investigation was launched on the back of a complaint from the pro-mass migration non-profits Utopia 56 and the Human Rights League (LDH) in April of 2024.

The NGOs accused Leggeri, during his tenure as the head of the Frontex EU border force, of having helped orchestrate and then potentially cover up the coordinated pushback of illegal migrant boats by Greek officials to Turkey, and similar pushbacks of migrant boats attempting to reach Italy by the Libyan coast guard.

The complaint reportedly stated that Leggeri did so “by failing to oppose the crimes committed by the Libyan and Greek coast guards, by concealing evidence of these crimes, and by providing logistical and financial support for their execution”.

They further accused Leggeri of having set out “an especially strict policy clearly aimed at obstructing, whatever the cost – including human lives – the entry of migrants into the European Union.”

Leggeri, who led the EU border force from 2015 to 2022, and who now sits in the European Parliament for the French anti-mass migration National Rally party, has so far not commented publicly on the reported investigation.

However, allies were quick to decry what appeared to be an attempt to criminalise the protection of Europe’s borders. Former National Rally presidential candidate Marine Le Pen said: “I extend my full support to Fabrice Leggeri, the target of this odious campaign of judicial harassment.”

“The French people who are enduring the dramatic consequences of migrant submersion will not be fooled by the crude manoeuvre of a far-left organisation that seeks to prevent and criminalise any oversight of migration policies, even though such oversight is demanded by the European peoples.”

National Rally president Jordan Bardella also decried the “judicial harassment from far-left associations,” and said: “Defending Europe’s borders against mass immigration is not a crime: it is an absolute necessity and the fundamental right of peoples.”

Leggeri, who joined the National Rally in 2024, has continued to be heavily critical of the open borders agenda favoured by elites in Europe, and has been a vocal opponent of the EU Migration Pact, which seeks to punish member states financially if they refuse to take in illegals from other member states that fail to police their borders.

The former Frontex boss is not alone in facing apparent lawfare for seeking to protect Europe’s borders. Indeed, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini was mired in court cases for years over his 2019 move to prevent an open-borders NGO from disembarking migrants on Italian shores, which opponents claimed violated EU law. Ultimately, Salvini was acquitted of all charges in December.

Leaked Chat Exposes Antisemitism Row in UK Green Party

Zack Polanski, Wikimedia Commons, London Assembly, youtube, CC-BY-3.0

Green Party activists are facing mounting backlash after leaked WhatsApp messages revealed members describing Jews as “an abomination to this planet” and promoting conspiracy claims about attacks on Jewish targets.

The messages, first reported by The Telegraph, come from a Greens for Palestine group chat and have prompted calls for party leader Zack Polanski to take action, amid warnings of growing antisemitism within the party’s activist base.

In one exchange, a participant wrote that Jews were “an abomination to this planet” during a discussion about Israel and Zionism. Other messages show members claiming Jews “murder, bomb and starve” children and arguing activists should stop using the term ‘Zionists’ out of fear of being labelled antisemitic.

The remarks emerged as members debated how openly to frame their rhetoric. One contributor insisted that describing individuals as Jews rather than ‘Zionists’ was “the correct description,” adding that activists had been “scared into using the word Zionists.”

Elsewhere in the chat, activists engaged with conspiracy theories surrounding a recent arson attack on ambulances belonging to a Jewish charity in Golders Green, north London. One member suggested the incident could have been a “false flag” operation, while a Green council candidate shared posts claiming the attack was an “inside job.”

Police later arrested two British nationals in connection with the incident.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) said its lawyers were examining the remarks, describing the rhetoric as “straight out of Nazi Germany.” The group said the episode posed a test for the Green Party leadership over whether it would confront or tolerate such views.

Political pressure is also building. Labour figures described the revelations as “deeply troubling,” while Conservative Party chairman Kevin Hollinrake said the language was “utterly appalling” and warned the Greens risked “drifting into a pattern of tolerating antisemitism.”

The controversy comes as the party experiences a surge in support under Polanski’s leadership. However, critics have raised concerns about ideological radicalisation within grassroots networks and the influence of activist factions.

Greens for Palestine, founded around 18 months ago, is pushing a motion for the party’s spring conference that would classify Zionism as a form of racism. Jewish Green members have warned such a move could marginalise or exclude them from the party.

Despite internal guidance urging activists to exercise “self-moderation” and avoid statements that could be used against them publicly, the leaked messages suggest those warnings were widely ignored.

After the messages were exposed, members discussed abandoning WhatsApp over fears the group had been infiltrated and suggested moving to encrypted platforms such as Signal. Some participants speculated—without evidence—that the app could be secretly controlled by Israeli interests.

A Greens for Palestine spokesman denied that members had referred to Jews as “an abomination,” claiming the comments were directed at ‘Zionists’ and accusing critics of conflating the two.

The Green Party declined to say whether it had launched an investigation or taken disciplinary action, leaving questions over how it intends to respond to the controversy.

Christianity collapsing, Islam rising (Again)?

AI generator

by Eric Utter

Strange days are these.

Trump is in the White House, but traitors are everywhere.

Crime rates are allegedly down, but that claim doesn’t “feel” right to many of us in many areas.

There is no doubt, however, that rates of idiocy, insanity and disingenuousness are at all-time highs.

One of the two major political parties in the United States actually detests U.S. citizens and incessantly woos illegal aliens … and the other party doesn’t really do much about it.

And a country that has deep, profound — and almost ubiquitous — ties to Christianity seems to eschew religion in favor of an anything goes hyper-secularism, yet welcomes, tolerates, and defends Islam, a pseudo-religion that considers women as property, stones gays and adulterers, and whose “bylaws” state that infidels must be converted, enslaved, or exterminated. Weird, wild, wacky stuff. And deeply disturbing.

So, an Austrian Catholic diocese hosts pro-LGBT Stations of the Cross, “reinterpreted” stations intended to reflect the supposed experiences of queer refugees.

Lovely.

And we learn that California Gov. Gavin “Slick” Newsom’s wife Jennifer, in a 2022 interview, stated that traditional Christians are “just pulling us back as a country to a time and a place where we don’t deserve to be and we’re not gonna be.”

And that Canada’s House of Commons just passed a bill that would criminalize quoting numerous passages of the Bible, particularly those pertaining to homosexuality and gender. This after all debate on the bill was successfully shut down by Liberal MPs while it was in committee stage. It now heads to the Canadian Senate where it is expected to pass.

Moreover, by God, an allegedly Christian school in (formerly) Great Britain allegedly encouraged its students to practice Islamic prayer. A short video, recently circulating on social media, shows rows of schoolkids neatly arranged on prayer rugs, prostrating themselves before Allah. This is not your grandfather’s Christianity.

Meanwhile, an Austrian boy, the only Christian in his class, was bullied for just that reason.

The collapse of Christendom has been rapid and dramatic. The Christian Church, at least as formerly constituted, has become virtually extinct in the Netherlands and is on life support in several other European nations.

It is no coincidence that this has corresponded to the rapid rise of Islam in the West, and the consequent explosion in the number of mosques. And it has happened because progressives have infiltrated the Church and bastardized its main themes. The now hyper-tolerant practitioners of the Christian religion are all but demanding that the stupendously intolerant practitioners of Islam replace them on the world stage … which, of course, they planned to do anyway. They are giddily incredulous that their global task has been made infinitely easier by the very infidels they seek to destroy.

And yet the West sleepwalks on, accommodating, defending — and aiding and abetting — the invasion that will ultimately lead to its demise.

Ironically, the U.S. will fight Islam elsewhere, but never here at home where it is capable of doing the most damage. Capable, in fact, of eventually effectively annexing the nation in a mass convert or enslave operation. Mindboggling. Everywhere Muslims gain a solid foothold, they eventually take over institutions and governments and institute Sharia law.

So, rapes are covered up because “Muslim boys are already under enough police scrutiny.” Really? Wonder why?

What’s more, a repeat sexual offender, labeled ‘devious and manipulative,’ successfully blocked his deportation from Britain by citing his right to a ‘family and private life’ under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

What about the multiple victims’ right to family, privacy, and safety? And that of their families? Victims whose parents will never be the same?

Yet, an English immigration tribunal has ruled that an Albanian criminal should be allowed to remain in Britain in part because his son doesn’t care for the chicken nuggets elsewhere. In fact, the tribunal found that it would be ‘unduly harsh’ for the 10-year-old boy to be forced to move back with his father given his dislike of the home country’s cuisine. Sometimes, ladies and gentlemen, you just have to shake your head and wonder what caused so many people to lose their minds.

Nonetheless, schools in northern England have been advised to ban drawing, dancing, and music that Muslims deem idolatrous and not halal. And they’ll probably do just that … instead of issuing the proper rejoinder, which would be, “No bleeping way. We will continue to teach the Western canon. The ungrateful invading Muslim hordes can go to hell.”

Not that things are different in Sweden lately, but that country’s sheep farmers are locking their sheep inside pens and shelters at night to prevent them from being slaughtered by Muslims observing the dictates of Eid. Slaughtered or shagged? Either way, it should not be tolerated.

Strange days are these. It is indeed a wild and wooly world in which we live. Just don’t slaughter the wool bearers. Or shag them.

And—pro tip!– never tolerate those that seek to convert, enslave, or kill you.

Because they will do so. If your own government doesn’t beat them to it.

UEFA Fines FK Crvena Zvezda €95,500 Over Christian Tifo in Europa League Match

UEFA has imposed a €95,500 fine on Serbian powerhouse FK Crvena Zvezda following fan choreography during their February 26 Europa League knockout clash against LOSC Lille. The penalty, detailed in the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body’s March 25 decisions, targets incidents at Rajko Mitić Stadium—including fireworks (€17,000), object-throwing (€10,500), blocked passageways (€28,000), and crucially, a €40,000 hit for “transmitting a message not fit for a sports event” plus bringing football and UEFA into disrepute.

UEFA hits Serbian club FK Crvena Zvezda with €95,500 penalty for fan tifo featuring Orthodox icon and “May our faith lead you to victory” banner during Lille clash—sparking debate on faith in football

The display—a massive tifo by ultras group Delije Sever—featured a towering Orthodox icon (depicted as Jesus Christ or Saint Simeon the Myrrh-flowing, tied to his feast day) alongside the banner “May our faith lead you to victory.” UEFA ruled it inappropriate, breaching rules on non-sporting messages, though no explicit religious detail appears in the official report.

Red Star lost 0-2 (1-2 aggregate), exiting the competition amid electric atmosphere. The tifo went viral for its scale and devotion, sparking backlash over perceived double standards—fans argue faith displays get punished while others slide.

Here are stunning shots from the North Stand that night—pure spectacle:

The club can appeal, but the fine stands as UEFA tightens grip on stadium expressions. Serbian pride meets European rules—debate’s just getting started.

Appeals court acquits German comedian over tasteless Trump assassination ‘jokes’

GROK

An appeal court in Berlin has upheld the acquittal of Sebastian Hotz, a German leftist comedian who had been charged with “condoning criminal offences” after he made a series of posts on X celebrating the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in July 2024.

In the afternoon of March 27, the Berlin Chamber Court, the city’s highest court, announced its decision on the appeal launched by the state prosecutor’s office against an earlier acquittal of Hotz – who goes by the moniker of El Hotzoby a local court in July 2025.

Court spokesman Moritz Lehmann said: “The Chamber Court has upheld the acquittal in its ruling today. The local court’s view that the social media posts constituted satire not intended to be taken seriously was free from legal error.

“Furthermore, the local court’s assessment that the posts, given their satirical nature, were not capable of disturbing the public order, is not to be criticised from a legal perspective.”

Hotz was thus acquitted of all charges launched against him by the prosecution after his controversial posts.

Hotz told German media he was relieved that the court proceedings were over.

Before the proceedings, the comedian had told news agency dpa that his trial could set a dangerous precedent for satirist in Germany: “If I am convicted, satirists must expect that every joke and every post could have legal consequences, provided it is deliberately misinterpreted by enough people. That is a world I would not want to live in.”

The verdict ends a legal battle spanning a year and a half.

Hotz had been charged with “condoning criminal offences” – a crime punishable by up to three years in prison in Germany – after he made several “humorous” posts on X about the assassination attempt on then-US presidential candidate Donald Trump on July 13, 2024.

Mere hours after the attempted assassination, Hotz – who has around 740,000 followers on X – wrote: “What do the last bus and Donald Trump have in common? Unfortunately just missed.”

After users reacted negatively to the tasteless joke, Hotz added in a separate post: “I find it absolutely fantastic when fascists die.”

The prosecution had demanded a fine of €6,000, arguing that Hotz “created a psychological climate in society in which similar attacks on government officials or heads of state can flourish nationwide”.

Hotz is known for his blunt jokes which often target supposed “fascists” and “right-wing extremists”. In December 2025, for example, he posted a picture of two portions of fries – one adorned by a tiny speck of ketchup, the other slathered in it – calling them “Trump style” and “Kirk style” in reference to the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and the assassination of Charlie Kirk in September 2025.

The post earned Hotz more than 3,600 likes.

BBC faces backlash as journalist accused of anti-Israel bias covers Iran war

Sally Nabil was sent to Washington to cover Donald Trump’s meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu | BBC ARABIC

The BBC is facing a backlash after a reporter who was accused of expressing an anti-Israel bias has been given free rein to cover current events in the Middle East.

Broadcasting House is facing a fresh bias row over Sally Nabil following a series of appearances on BBC Arabic since February 28.

GB News can reveal Ms Nabil has reported as the BBC’s Arabic bilingual correspondent at least seven times since March 1.

The Committee for Accuracy in the Middle East Reporting and Analysis (Camera) is now putting pressure on the BBC to take action.

The campaign group, which has sought to highlight anti-Israel bias since the 1982 Lebanon War, pointed out Ms Nabil previously liked posts describing October 7 as “a morning of hope”. Hamas, the group behind October 7 attacks, was designated a terror organisation in the UK on November 26, 2021.

Other posts Ms Nabil liked accused Israel of being an “occupation state” and justified the death of Israeli civilians as “legitimate resistance”.

“The continued employment of BBC staff members who have publicly endorsed or trivialised terrorism should not be tolerated, least of all when they are assigned to cover conflicts involving Israel, the United States, and their allies,” a Camera spokesman told GB News.

“Sally Nabil, who repeatedly ‘liked’ hateful posts which fail to distinguish civilians from combatants, is wholly unfit for her current role, whether she is reporting on the Iran war, the aftermath of Israeli strikes in Lebanon, a past US-Israel summit in Washington, DC, or—perhaps most outrageously—on Gaza Strip ‘journalists’ whose extreme social media records resemble her own.”

Ms Nabil also released a video in August 2025 about the “everyday suffering” of Wesam Abu Zeid.

Abu Zeid works for state-owned, Arabic-speaking media outlets, operating in both France and Algeria.

Mr Abu Zeid previously posted in July 2017: “Don’t forget and be certain. More than 1,500 million Muslims will pursue you until the Day of Judgment.

“Do not forget that the Crusaders occupied Jerusalem for 90 years and were gone. The Jews have occupied it for 67 years and will be gone [all the same].”

Another post, published in November 2014, added: “May Allah bless these men who avenge our Jerusalem; they deserve all our love, respect, appreciation, and salute, and that we would pray for mercy for this operation’s two perpetrators after their martyrdom.

“They create things out of nothing, and with their [pure] white weapons, they made the extremists’ day a black one.”

It is not known whether Ms Nabil was aware of Mr Abu Zeid’s posts at the time of releasing her video.

There is no suggestion that Ms Nabil herself posted content supporting terrorism rather than “liking” posts made by others.

GB News approached Ms Nabil for comment on her social media activity and did not receive a response.

A BBC spokesman also rejected calls for Ms Nabil to no longer provide coverage on the Iran war and appeared to suggest that following an investigation, no further action had been deemed necessary.

“Sally Nabil is a correspondent for the BBC and so will continue to appear on air to report on news events,” a spokesman told GB News.

“We have previously made it clear that we take allegations of breaches of our social media guidance very seriously and we took urgent action to investigate.

“We do not comment on individual staff matters; however, if we find breaches, we take the appropriate action.”

The BBC has been marred by allegations of bias since the October 7 attack in 2023.

The BBC’s Arabic news channel “minimised Israeli suffering” in the war against Gaza in order to “paint Israel as the aggressor”, a leaked internal report said.

Claims against Israel were said to have been “raced to air” without appropriate checks, while BBC Arabic allegedly gave more time to statements from Hamas.

The memo also stated the channel had “a desire always to believe the worst about Israel”, while giving “unjustifiable weight” to Hamas’ claims about the death toll in Gaza.

According to The Telegraph, the memo includes an example of one man who described Israelis as less than human, who appeared 522 times in the same period.

Responding to reports of the memo at the time, a BBC spokesman said: “While we don’t comment on leaked documents, when the BBC receives feedback, it takes it seriously and considers it carefully.

“With regard to BBC News Arabic, where mistakes have been made or errors have occurred, we have acknowledged them at the time and taken action.

“We have also previously acknowledged that certain contributors should not have been used and have improved our processes to avoid a repeat of this.”

GB News has contacted Mr Abu Zeid for comment.

J.K. Rowling Celebrates Olympics Banning Men from Women’s Sports

Author J.K. Rowling celebrated the International Olympic Committee (IOC) banning men from women’s sporting events.

As Breitbart News reported this week, the IOC ruled that women’s sporting events will be limited to biological females.

“Eligibility for any female category event at the Olympic Games or any other IOC event, including individual and team sports, is now limited to biological females,” the IOC said in a statement, adding it will protect “fairness, safety and integrity in the female category.”

J.K. Rowling celebrated the ruling, citing the case of Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics as a female boxer despite recently admitting to having XY chromosomes.

“Today’s ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I’ll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women,” said Rowling.

Khelif became a lightning rod for controversy after defeating Italian fighter Angela Carini in only 46 seconds. Before the Olympics, Khelif failed the International Boxing Association’s gender eligibility tests gender tests alongside Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting.

Per usual, Rowling was denounced as a transphobic bigot by some corners of the internet.

“Imane Khelif is a cisgender woman who dealt with millions of threats because of freaks like you who are so obsessed with peoples genitalia that you accused her of being trans when she isn’t. She even had to pursue legal actions against these bullshit claims. It has been proven she was born female but you continue to spread false accusations. You are a deranged cunt and need to log off the internet forever and enter therapy,” said one user.

“Khelif was born female, has lived and competed as a female, and the IOC confirmed she met all eligibility rules to compete as a woman at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite Rowling’s best efforts to orchestrate a campaign of hate & abuse, Imane Khelif is still recognised as a woman,” said another.

Questions mount over how PM Tusk’s Civic Platform official accused of abusing 14 girls remained in the party

Screen grab youtube

A former local official of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s governing Civic Platform (PO) is back at the center of a growing political scandal after an appeals court threw out his 11-year prison sentence in a child abuse case involving 14 girls, sending the matter back for a new trial and reviving questions over how he remained in party leadership for so long.

Piotr P., the former head of PO’s district branch in Złotów in Greater Poland, had previously been convicted on 21 counts linked to sexual offenses against minors and the recording of nude images of children without parental knowledge or consent. Prosecutors said more than a dozen girls were harmed.

According to investigators, the abuse took place between 2021 and 2023, with Piotr P. allegedly meeting girls and telling them to undress, touching them, and photographing them while claiming the images were part of medical documentation.

The case was brought after the mother of one of the alleged victims contacted authorities. Piotr P. was arrested on Dec. 1, 2023, and was later convicted by the District Court in Złotów, which sentenced him in March 2025 to 11 years in prison. That ruling, however, was later overturned in January of this year, and the proceedings are now set to resume. Piotr P. continues to deny the charges.

Critics say the most disturbing aspect of the affair is not only the scale of the allegations, but the fact that Piotr P. remained a prominent Civic Platform figure for years, despite what opponents claim were longstanding rumors and earlier accusations.

The case has since become a political weapon in Poland’s wider media and party war, with right-leaning outlets portraying it as proof that Civic Platform tolerated a well-known local figure despite repeated warning signs. The same outlets have also seized on the reversal of the original conviction as evidence of an overtly political justice system. TVRepublika, for example, claimed that the conviction was overturned because the ruling judge had been newly appointed and was not recognized by the new Tusk government.

Reporting cited by wPolityce alleges that complaints involving Piotr P. dated back as far as 2011, with further allegations emerging around 2015 and 2016 involving underage trainees. Although the matter was reportedly brought to police and prosecutors, the case was allegedly dropped at an early stage.

That history has fueled accusations that Piotr P. benefited from political protection while continuing to hold influence locally. According to critics, he remained in charge of the party’s Złotów structures from 2014 onward, helped organize campaigns, shaped election lists, and regularly appeared alongside local officials and senior party figures.

He was only suspended and later expelled from Civic Platform after his 2023 arrest, a fact now being used by opponents to argue that the party acted only when the scandal became impossible to ignore.

Other reports from left-wing media, however, have said the sentence was overturned because of procedural problems rather than politics. That dispute has only intensified the public fight around the case, with rival camps offering sharply different explanations for why the conviction did not stand.

What is not in dispute, however, is the scale of the alleged abuse described by prosecutors. The case involves 14 alleged victims and numerous counts of sexual offenses.

For Civic Platform, the damage is not limited to one former local activist. The retrial is again focusing attention on whether party officials ignored or downplayed claims surrounding a man who remained politically active for years, ran repeatedly for mayor of Jastrowie, and built influence through both party and community roles.

As wPolsce24 wrote, “This is a dark period for the Polish justice system and further proof that in the world of Civic Platform politicians, partisan interests and the struggle for influence in the courts matter more than the fate of abused children.”

A report shining a light on new information surrounding the scandal is due to be broadcast by wPolsce24 on Monday.
