Triumph at Miss Universe 2025: Fátima Bosch, the Devout Mexican Catholic, Wins the Crown and Celebrates by Making the Sign of the Cross – Raising High the Pride of Hispanic Catholic Women

Hours before the Miss Universe 2025 final, 25-year-old Fátima Bosch, a devout Catholic from Tabasco, Mexico, shared a photo on her social media of her dressing room decorated with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe made of sequins, accompanied by a rosary and the Mexican flag.
“It’s today! #MissUniverse,” she wrote on X, publicly entrusting herself to the Virgin Mary as a symbol of her unwavering faith.

This act of devotion – which her mother confirmed is a constant in her life (“That Virgin has always been with her; she doesn’t take a single step without her”) – stood in stark contrast to the progressive pressures of the pageant.

Born in Teapa, Bosch overcame a public humiliation two weeks earlier when Thai organizer Nawat Itsaragrisil called her “stupid” and ordered her removed from a meeting for not promoting Thailand enough on social media.

With dignity, Fátima replied: “If that takes away your dignity, you have to leave,” and walked out accompanied by 17 other contestants in solidarity.

The video of the incident went viral, leading to Itsaragrisil’s immediate dismissal by Miss Universe president Raúl Rocha Cantú.

At the Impact Arena gala, her Catholic resilience shone brightly. Dressed in red – the emblematic color of Mexican queens – she answered the question about the challenges women face in 2025: “As a woman and Miss Universe, I would raise my voice to create change, because we are strong, courageous, and we always stand back up; that is our story.”

Upon receiving the
crown from Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig, she made the sign of the cross in front of millions – an act of glory to God that rekindled Cristero traditions.

In a moment that perfectly captures the purity of her Catholic faith, Fátima Bosch starred in a moving scene inside a hotel elevator in Bangkok, surrounded by her team and Mexican supporters.

With tears of joy and the Miss Mexico sash still around her waist, the 25-year-old from Tabasco raised her hands in the shape of a heart and shouted with fervor “Viva Cristo Rey!” as the elevator rose.

The video, recorded in the immediate euphoria after the coronation, exploded across social media, racking up thousands of views and celebrations from the faithful who see her as a bulwark against progressive secularization.

In a world that often mocks faith and tries to redefine femininity, Fátima Bosch stands as the most beautiful answer: a proudly Catholic Hispanic woman who does not need to renounce her cross to be queen.

Diagnosed with ADHD as a child and now a humanitarian activist focused on family and community, she never embraced trendy ideological agendas; Instead, she chose the flag of Mexico, the rosary, and Our Lady of Guadalupe as her true banners.

Her triumph – Mexico’s fourth Miss Universe crown and the nation’s fifth in history – is not merely a personal achievement: it is the joyful, radiant vindication of millions of Hispanic women who carry traditional values, Marian devotion, and the certainty that true beauty is born when one kneels before God rather than before the world.

With a smile that shines brighter than any diamond crown, Fátima reminds us that it is indeed possible to be strong, brave, and feminine without betraying who we are.

She embodies the joy of being Catholic, the dignity of being Mexican, and the hope that, even in 2025, a Hispanic woman can conquer the entire universe… while making the sign of the cross and shouting ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

Congratulations, Fatima! Long live Our Lady of Guadalupe and long live the Hispanic woman who is proud of her faith!

France: an Egyptian-born pupil posts a video game in a school WhatsApp group on the anniversary of the Bataclan attack, showing a plane crashing in a setting reminiscent of New York, accompanied by cries of ‘Allah Akbar’

The Évry public prosecutor’s office has launched proceedings against a 16-year-old high school student in Massy for glorifying terrorism. On November 13, the 10th anniversary of the Bataclan attack, the minor, who was born in Egypt, shared a video game in a WhatsApp group of students in which a plane crashes in an environment reminiscent of New York, accompanied by the cry ‘Allah akbar’. He was brought before the juvenile court judge.
The Évry public prosecutor’s office was called in after a report from the Fustel-de-Coulanges secondary school in Massy (Essonne) about the distribution of a video game considered problematic in a WhatsApp group of students. A 16-year-old student of Egyptian origin was arrested and then brought before the court on charges of glorifying terrorism.

On November 13, 2025, the 10th anniversary of the Bataclan attacks, the teenager shared a link to an online game in a high school messaging group. The game’s objective: click on an airplane flying over New York to hit two towers. When the plane ‘crashes,’ it explodes and a male voice shouts ‘Allah akbar.’ In the message accompanying the link, the young man claims that he himself was the creator of the game.

Alerted, the school administration sent a report to the Évry court. However, initial investigations revealed that the game had already been circulating on the internet for one to two years.
The 16-year-old student, born in Kalyobia, Egypt, was arrested and detained on November 20. During his hearing, he stated that he had only been in France for three years, knew nothing about the attacks of November 13, 2015, and did not know what the game could stand for. He claims to have simply clicked on a link he received from another student the day before, before sharing it in turn.

Analysis of his mobile phone confirmed that he had indeed received the link previously and that he was apparently not the creator. A search was conducted at his home, which did not provide investigators with any evidence. Despite these explanations, the public prosecutor’s office decided to continue with the proceedings. The minor was brought before the juvenile court judge on November 21, 2025, for acts described as ‘glorification of terrorism.’

Mass immigration: Washington is asking its allies to protect their citizens, stop punishing those who criticise migration and document abuses related to these phenomena

Mass migration poses an existential threat to Western civilisation and undermines the stability of the United States’ key allies.

Today, the State Department asked US embassies to report on the human rights implications and public safety repercussions of mass migration.

Mass migration is a human rights issue. Western nations have suffered waves of crime, terrorist attacks, sexual assaults, and the displacement of entire communities.

US officials will urge governments to take bold action and defend their citizens against the threats posed by mass migration.

Officials will also report on policies that punish citizens who oppose continued mass migration and document crimes and human rights violations committed by migrants.

These problems have been affecting citizens of Western nations for years:

In the United Kingdom, thousands of young girls were victimised in Rotherham, Oxford, and Newcastle by gangs of sexual predators involving migrant men. Many girls had to endure unspeakable abuse for years before the authorities intervened.

In Sweden, an Eritrean migrant convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl was allowed to remain in the country after a judge ruled that the case did not constitute an ‘exceptionally serious crime’ warranting deportation.

In Germany, nine men — including several migrants — were convicted of gang raping a 15-year-old girl. A German woman who insulted one of the rapists online received a heavier sentence than the perpetrators themselves.

US officials will now examine the policies of Western nations that show leniency towards migrant-related crime or human rights violations, or that create two-tier systems that prioritise migrants over their own citizens.

The United States supports the sovereignty of its allies and calls on governments to engage constructively with the growing number of citizens concerned about mass migration.

The United States stands ready to assist its allies in addressing the global crisis of mass migration.

Male German police officer identifies as woman to secure promotion

A male German police officer in Düsseldorf is facing charges of attempted fraud for legally changing his identity to female, allegedly in order to secure a promotion.

The officer, who is in his mid-thirties, changed his name from Peter to Maria Kleine last May. Germany’s Self-Determination Act went into effect in November 2024, and thus changing genders was a simple matter of some paperwork at a local registry office, after which Peter informed the police department that he was now Maria so they could update their records accordingly.

The Self-Determination Act, which was passed in order to streamline the process of legally changing identity for Germans who identify as transgender, intersex, or “non-binary,” was strongly criticized because it essentially permitted anybody to change their gender on a whim and without any standard of evidence—a self-declaration with no paperwork or third-party assessment. The LGBT movement condemned these critiques as “transphobic.”

Peter, however, is now being accused of becoming Maria exclusively for the purpose of career advancement; becoming a woman bumped him up the promotion list by 43 places and had the potential to increase his salary by €247–€472 monthly. But according to the Irish Times, Kleine’s employer filed charges of attempted fraud only six days after his gender switch.

According to the Irish Times, Düsseldorf police recruitment boards “have been instructed—when presented with two equally-qualified candidates—to favour any female candidate.” The police claimed that Peter had been heard stating that he had become a woman in order to take advantage of this “at multiple times in different settings with colleagues, in an active, explicit and placative way.”

Peter’s lawyer has taken great umbrage to this, insisting that his remark “was intended ironically,” as a rebuke of “insensitive colleagues.” Meanwhile, Peter went from assistant to full commissioner. “You don’t make such a life-changing decision for something like that,” said lawyer Christoph Arnold to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper.

However, the Irish Times did note—while referring to Peter as a “she” just to be safe—that he had “signaled to colleagues” that he was planning to switch his gender back to male ahead of his wedding. Peter is marrying a woman. At the moment, under German law, Peter is a lesbian—and he has every right to travel back and forth across the gender divide at will.

“The new [self-determination] law is funny because I don’t have to justify the change,” Kleine’s lawyer said. “Thus, it’s impossible to defraud.” In the meantime, Kleine is counter-suing the police department for “queer-hostility” and is accusing them of discrimination against transgender people.

Peter Kleine isn’t the first fellow to realize that there might be benefits to identifying as a woman. Male criminals have been using the transgender boondoggle to their advantage for years, identifying as female in order to get cushier sentences and to get sent to women’s prisons, where they would be locked behind bars with a vulnerable female population. This, predictably, has resulted in many predictable instances of sexual assault. One rape victim was accused of transphobia when she came forward.

There are more humorous examples as well. In 2018, a Canadian man used self-ID laws to identify as a woman on his legal ID to save just over $1,000 monthly on his car insurance. “I’m a man, 100 per cent. Legally, I’m a woman,” he said. “I did it for cheaper car insurance.” And a man in Michigan who “transitioned” to female was livid to discover that as a woman, he would be paying nearly $1,000 a month more.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I hope the German police officer wins his case.

EU ‘disregards censorship concerns’ in review of online policing law

European regulators are facing criticism for sidelining concerns about censorship and free speech in their ongoing review of the Digital Services Act (DSA).

Rather than turn down censorship, critics claim they are pushing platforms towards more intervention regarding speech deemed problematic.

In a report by the European Commission and the Board of the Digital Services Co-ordinators, published yesterday, it is repeatedly stressed that the DSA’s risk-assessment framework is meant to protect fundamental rights.

While the European Union insists on neutrality, the report shows that Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and Very Large Online Search Engines (VLOSEs) are expected to mitigate so-called disinformation, hate speech, harassment, gender-based violence online, threats to election integrity, misinformation about public health, risks to minors and algorithmic amplification of harmful content.

Vienna-based ADF International, a civil rights organisation and advocacy group, said the EC has ignored substantive free speech concerns from around the world.

It pointed to an open letter, launched in October, where a large number of academics, politicians and journalists urged the EC to better protect free speech and change course.

In the letter, the experts warned of a shrinking of civic space, where people are confronted with an increasing amount of censorship or punitive measures for speech that challenges prevailing orthodoxy.

ADF International noted that in September, more than 50 European NGOs stressed that the broad terms of “systemic risks”, “disinformation” and “illegal content”, coupled with the activist role of “trusted flaggers”, might violate freedom of expression and information under Article 11 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

It said the DSA is not “content agnostic” as the EC claims and ignores “concerns around censorship-by-proxy, overreach, or the DSA’s extraterritorial effects”.

“Nor does it assess the DSA under the EU Charter’s free speech protections, as requested by experts and NGOs,” ADF International said.

“More alarmingly, the Commission further signals its intention to deepen and tighten DSA-related co-ordination, calling for stronger inter-authority co-operation, joint guidance and even potential ‘one-stop-shop’ mechanisms across the EU, a development that risks amplifying existing free-speech concerns rather than addressing them,” it said.

Adina Portaru, senior counsel, Europe for ADF International, said: “It is alarming that the European Commission has disregarded well-founded censorship concerns and overreach, expressed by international free speech experts, big tech, and concerned governments alike in its review of the DSA.

“The Commission has indicated that they will address free speech in future reviews [in 2027]; however, the threat of censorship should not be taken lightly and addressing its effects cannot be delayed.

“The DSA could install a global censorship regime and is the greatest threat to online freedom of expression in the western world today.

“We will continue to advocate for the protection of free speech in light of the DSA’s censorial threat in order to keep the digital public square free,” Portaru said.

She noted that the DSA enforcement actions “are based not on agnostic principles but on contested normative determinations about which speech categories create systemic risks.

“Further, the Commission has entirely dismissed the very valid concerns of extraterritorial reach despite the clear global threat of the DSA.

“The response fails to address repeated concerns from international partners, including the US, that the DSA incentivises de facto global moderation policies,” she said.

“The Commission has missed an extremely critical opportunity to restore free speech and to engage constructively with its citizens on the DSA’s impact on fundamental rights,” Portaru concluded.

Many of these categories, especially disinformation, hate speech and health misinformation, involve lawful speech under US First Amendment standards. Brussels’ efforts have caused political friction in Washington.

The regulators’ report, observers argue, demonstrates that the EU expects platforms to take proactive measures to reduce alleged societal harm, even if this involves adjusting recommendation systems or content policies.

This proactive approach is what US critics label “censorship by regulation”, especially as “disinformation” categories can be viewed as subjective and politically manipulable.

US lawmakers told Brussels Signal in July that the DSA amounts to government-backed censorship, stifling political debate under the guise of content moderation and misinformation control.

Germany Sees New Surge in Violent Attacks on Women by Immigrant Suspects

AI generator

Germany is seeing another surge in violence against women committed by non-German suspects, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) has reported.

Presenting the findings on Thursday, Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) said the trend “has been solidifying for years.” The BKA registered almost 266,000 victims of domestic violence last year, including more than 187,000 women and girls. That represents a 3.8% rise on the previous year and a 17.8% increase compared with 2022.

Non-German suspects were again “clearly overrepresented,” Dobrindt said, noting that 37% of those accused of partner violence did not hold German citizenship. Victims show a similar pattern: around one third of all victims were non-German nationals, far above their share of the population.

Family Minister Karin Prien (CDU) warned that the true scale of abuse is likely far higher. “We assume that one in four women will experience intimate partner violence in her lifetime,” she said, pointing to a major underreporting problem.

The government has pledged new measures, including electronic ankle bracelets for violent offenders, signalling devices for vulnerable victims, a ban on knock-out drops, and expanded capacity in women’s shelters. But Dobrindt acknowledged the response remains insufficient. “Politicians are not yet doing enough to protect women,” he said.

Syrian migrant convicted in Bad Oeynhausen killing sues police union official for ‘false’ statements made in latest book

Manuel Ostermann. Screengrab youtube

The Syrian migrant convicted for his involvement in the death of 20-year-old Philipos as he accompanied his sister to a graduation ball in the German town of Bad Oeynhausen last year, is demanding €25,000 in damages from police union vice-chairman and author Manuel Ostermann, accusing him of unlawful statements in his recent book entitled “Germany Is No Longer Safe.”

Philipos was badly beaten in June 2024, so much so that he fell into a coma and died two days later in the hospital. The 18-year-old suspect, Mwafak al-S., was arrested and ultimately convicted of attempted manslaughter. He was sentenced to nine years in juvenile detention.

Remix News reported on the attack at the time.

His lawyer, Burkhard Benecken, is now contesting statements made in Ostermann’s book related to the attack, noting that the sentence is not yet legally binding because of an ongoing appeal to the Federal Court of Justice.

Benecken argues that Ostermann misrepresented the legal status of the case by writing that the migrant “beat Philipos Tsanis to death,” even though the sentencing court ultimately convicted al-S. of attempted manslaughter due to unresolved questions over which of two skull fractures caused the fatal injury.

Benecken also challenges references to alleged prior violent offenses and what he describes as unsubstantiated implications that the attack may have been religiously motivated. In court, evidence pointed instead to a dispute over drugs shortly before the violence broke out.

Ostermann, who is First Deputy Federal Chairman of the German Federal Police Union, rejects the accusations and calls the legal threat an attempt to score publicity. He maintains that his book reflects broader concerns about violent crime and argues that the Syrian offender had already been known to police for previous offenses. While this is true — the migrant teen had been convicted of grand theft and grand robbery and had been sentenced to community service — Ostermann said he had also committed aggravated assault and attempted rape, offenses for which he had not been convicted of in a court of law.

Ostermann also notes that Philipos’ mother has publicly expressed support for him.

The regional court in Essen will now determine whether Ostermann’s statements crossed the line between political commentary and legally actionable claims, and whether the author must pay damages and issue corrections.

The police union chief and author spoke to Welt about the proceedings, calling them “absurd” and “ridiculous.” “To me, it simply reeks of an attempt to gain media attention and possibly a bit of money. I can’t explain it any other way,” he told the outlet.

Benecken, however, accused the author of committing an “incomprehensible blunder” and suggested he had a responsibility to report the facts as a police officer who “should stand for the rule of law, such as the presumption of innocence and fair reporting.”

The trial is due to commence on Friday.

Christian mothers beheaded while nursing babies? The West yawns

Burning churches in Borno state, Nigeria,  MEMRI

It feels like reading the intrepid Soviet writer and journalist Vassily Grossman, who, after the Red Army reconquered Kyiv from the Nazis, described what he saw the German forces had done.

“Two-year-old children massacred… Eighty-year-olds massacred, their eyes clouded by cataracts, with cold, transparent fingers and nearly imperceptible voices… Newborns massacred while they greedily suckled their mothers’ breasts until the last minute.”

In the lands of the East – Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Russia – educated, refined, highly qualified men, not uncultured brutes but doctors of philosophy, university professors, lawyers, sometimes poets, men who spoke of Goethe and Schiller, who read Kant in their barracks at night and quoted Nietzsche in Latin, who knew the music, history, and grammar of civilizations, taught other men the methodical art of exterminating Jewish women and children.

It is difficult to imagine a horror greater than mothers beheaded in their beds while breastfeeding.

Seventeen people, including eleven nursing mothers, are the victims of a terrorist attack on a hospital in Congo. “Women who were breastfeeding were brutally massacred and found with their throats slit in their hospital beds,” said Kiwewa.

The facility attacked by ISIS terrorists is a diocesan medical center run by nuns.

Giovanni Piumatti, an Italian priest who served for over fifty years in the area, revealed: “The most tragic thing, beyond the number of innocent victims, is the way they kill – they slit civilians’ throats, they behead them. It’s horrible. Here they killed mothers while they were breastfeeding their babies. These massacres go beyond all imagination and happen almost every week. Many are never reported.”

Bishop Melchisedech Paluku Sikuli of the Diocese of Butembo-Beni told Newsweek: “Catholics are being killed in hospital beds amid religious persecution.”

“Where is the UN?”, asks Le Figaro. “The Secretary-General of the United Nations, usually very eloquent, is conspicuously absent. Never missing an opportunity for a lyrical outburst to denounce Donald Trump’s policies toward his South American neighbors, to stigmatize Israel, or to criticize the ban on the abaya in French schools, António Guterres remains strangely silent about the situation of Christians in this part of the world.

“It is as if the life of a Christian had no value in the vast global marketplace of moral and diplomatic virtues. This selective emphasis speaks volumes about what the United Nations has become.”

A dark and distant wind carries the lament of these women bent by terror, torn from life while holding their children to their breasts. But no Western knee touches the ground, no silence opens in prayer: only a curtain of indifference falling slowly, like dust on an abandoned altar.

The Western silence weighs more than the stones covering the nameless graves.

The civilization that boasted of abolishing barbarism is once again justifying it with its silence.

In the West today, film festivals censor the videos of the October 7 pogrom in Israel because… they would have to ask Hamas for permission to use the footage shot by the terrorists. We could ask African terrorists for the copyright on videos of massacres in hospitals.

The West has lost the courage not only to fight, but even to tell the truth. Trutth, which in these times of concealment, is already truly a form of heroism.
