A cover from Germany’s Der Spiegel exposes the European leftists’ dishonesty
By Evelyne Joslain
Germany’s Der Spiegel is a shameful example of European leftism. As early as February 2017, after Trump had just been inaugurated, the magazine’s editorial team published an infamous cover showing the Republican brandishing the severed head of the Statue of Liberty, dripping with blood, to make it clear that Trump was going to guillotine the US democracy, no less.
On January 20, 2024, the rag was at it again! Trump has not yet been re-elected, but the narrative of the transnational left is that the head of the MAGA movement is going to be a dictator. On the cover, there’s a photograph of a martial, presidential Trump, who is respectfully saluting the troops (a magnificent Trump, actually). On the lower left, though, is this enormous wart for a title: “DIKTATOR TRUMP! Ein Szenario” (“Dictator Trump! A Scenario”).
When the daily Die Welt strongly criticized the cover, René Pfister, the weekly’s editor-in-chief, retorted: “Der Spiegel does not seek to shock anyone, but we want to show the real issues at stake. Democracy, freedom of the press, justice are all at stake. So many elements clearly threatened.”
Note that each word describes the exact opposite of the truth—at least, the truth when it comes to Trump. In fact, for the last three years, Biden’s lawless statue apparatus has trampled underfoot all these supposedly threatened.
The irony is rich in other respects: First, is a German the right person to be giving lessons on dictatorship? Germans are the same people who saw nothing to fear at home in the 1930s and now see nothing to fear in what is happening today, right next to them, at the World Forum in Davos.
There, wannabe-Diktator Klaus Schwab (whose values can be paraphrased as “you will own nothing, you will eat bugs and you will be happy”) agrees with the words of European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, the perfect Kapo for the globalist clique. She describes the urgency of fighting against “misinformation and disinformation” and “industrial-scale disinformation.” The specific information she decries serves as an obstacle to the climate change and global health policies the enlightened elites desire, all for the good of the peasants.
In addition, what does Der Spiegel know about Trump and American realities apart from what the left-wing American media invent and repeat? Strictly nothing. Every TV production that comes from the West’s “democracies” just repeats the same lies.
Listening to von der Leyen or looking at Der Spiegel’s cover, one must ask, do these fake and evil elites feel weakened by the farmers’ uprisings in Europe? By a 2024 electoral agenda that promises to be stormy for globalist dictators? And above all by the enthusiasm of the people and the real elites for a return of Trump? Clearly so. Worried but still arrogant, the Davos caste had invited participants who were completely opposed to their agenda while secretly hoping that these invitations would be rejected. However, the most prominent of them, Argentine President Javier Milei, an anarchist libertarian, and outstanding conservative Kevin D. Roberts (Professor of History, then Director at Wyoming Catholic College before being asked to chair the Heritage Foundation), picked up the challenge to bring some pushback to the fake elites.
Milei spoke golden words condemning the neo-Marxist Davos elites because he knows first-hand the devastation to be expected from this ideology.
Roberts, who heads Project 2025, which is intended to help the future Republican president effectively and constitutionally fight the administrative state (the swamp of unelected bureaucrats who managed to succeed in bringing Trump down in 2020), bluntly warned that “all the proposals put forward by the WEF (Davos) would be rejected wholesale” by a conservative administration, “that it was laughable that the WEF could claim to be both protector of liberal democracy and accuse Trump of being a future dictator, that it was the WEF that was a danger to global public security with its promotion of massive illegal immigration and its catastrophic climate policies,” without omitting “the folly of its embrace of China, the No. 1 adversary of America and all free peoples on the planet. And you give them a platform!”
When the transnational left, running the whole gamut from the extremely wealthy elites with undue powers down to pathetic journalists in search of fame, regurgitates to us ad nauseam that Trump threatens “democracy,” as do all those who dare to have a skeptical opinion of the imposed narrative, we must understand that they are not speaking of true democracy, where the most diverse opinions can be expressed, but of “their own democracy.” That is to say, they fear the very opposite; namely, preserving their own interests through dictatorship. It’s just that they lack the courage to name the goals for what they are while having the nerve to accuse their opponents of their sins.
Peruvian national arrested for murder of elderly Spanish priest accused of paying male migrants for sex
A Peruvian national has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 80-year-old Spanish priest accused of paying male migrants for sex.
Alfonso López Benito, a former canon of Valencia Cathedral, was found dead and naked in his bed at his home on Avellanas Street in the city center by friends on Tuesday. A post-mortem concluded he had died of asphyxiation and had been deceased for several days.
Authorities detained a 40-year-old suspect around 24 hours after the body was discovered after he attempted to use the victim’s bank card in a local bar.
The investigation found that the victim’s mobile phone had also been taken from the crime scene and the suspect is accused of sending several WhatsApp messages posing as the priest to his contacts with the intention of delaying the discovery of the body.
A further message was sent to the janitor of the priest’s apartment building explaining he would be leaving Valencia for a few days. However, the victim’s body had already been recovered by this point enabling police to trace the message and close in on their prime suspect.
It is understood the migrant had been in a sexual relationship with his victim and the priest had been asked to stop inviting men back to his apartment — owned by the Catholic Church — by other residents.
El País newspaper reported that the late priest regularly brought “young people to his home, with few resources and who lived on the streets. On some occasions, they had caused a nuisance in the building and caused an incident.”
“The investigations are continuing by the Homicide Group of the Provincial Brigade of Judicial Police of Valencia,” read a police statement.
The Archbishopric of Valencia expressed its regret for “this sad death and we are at the disposal of the authorities in case the collaboration of the archbishopric could serve to clarify the facts.”
French Farmers Win Concessions After Moving To Besiege Paris
France’s top farmers’ union won a number of concessions from the government on Friday after it blockaded major routes into Paris in protests focused on pay, taxes and regulations.
Facing his first major crisis as prime minister, Gabriel Attal visited a cattle farm in the Haute-Garonne department in southwest France, scene of the first motorway roadblocks, to announce the measures.
“You wanted to send a message, and I’ve received it loud and clear,” he told his audience. “I have been listening.”
Attal said the government would “put an end” to the rising cost of diesel fuel used for farming machinery which has been a consequence of tax breaks on the fuel being phased out. There would also be an emergency fund to help cattle farmers battle illnesses among their livestock.
“We have decided to place agriculture above everything else,” Attal said.
The movement was split on how to react. The farmer who initiated the first blockade and has become a key figure in the protest movement, Jerome Bayle, said that having “won” on major points, he would reopen the freeways by midday Saturday. But minutes later, FNSEA boss Arnaud Rousseau dashed hopes of a swift end to the crisis, calling for “continued mobilization”.
“What was said this evening doesn’t calm the anger, we need to go further”, he told French broadcaster TF1, adding that the concessions “didn’t (meet) all expectations”.
The government has been trying to keep discontent among farmers from spreading months ahead of European Parliament elections which are seen as a key test for President Emmanuel Macron’s government.
Friday’s encirclement of the capital followed days of disruption on motorways as well as tractor convoys through major cities and protests in front of government buildings. Protesters on the A10 motorway west of Paris hung an effigy of a farmer in overalls from a mock gallows. The A1 motorway heading north from Paris was blocked from Friday morning by tractors and hay bales, causing big jams. In the south, around 400 kilometres (250 miles) of motorway were shut between the Lyon region and the Spanish border.
“We don’t want any more words, we want acts,” said Sebastien, a 21-year-old farmer at a blockade slowing traffic around the Blagnac airport outside Toulouse, ahead of Attal’s announcements.
Attal had gathered his economy, environment, and agriculture ministers on Thursday as the farmers’ movement reached new heights with major protests and blockades. The rallies mobilised around 55,000 people, according to the FNSEA.
Agriculture Minister Marc Fesneau earlier Friday warned food manufacturers and supermarkets that they could face fines if they fail to obey laws on farmers’ pay, after receiving an update on purchasing talks between retailers and their suppliers.
“We need operators who are economically responsible and patriotic about French agriculture,” the minister said.
Farmers have fumed at what they say is a squeeze on purchase prices for produce by supermarket and industrial buyers, as well as complex environmental regulations. But the last straw for many was the phasing out of a tax break on diesel for farm equipment.
The agricultural fuel tax “is a real priority, a crucial cost reduction,” said Thierry Cazemajou, who grows corn and green beans for a major canned-vegetables brand. “It’s weighing us down,” he said.
Others have called for binding minimum prices for their farm produce, speedier aid payouts, or a pause on restrictions on pesticide use.
On Friday, Attal said the government would also seek to simplify administrative tasks for farmers, and inject subsidies into organic farming.
Some of the FNSEA’s 140 demands could only be met with new legislation or negotiations at the European Union level, given the EU’s green transition plan to meet Net Zero goals, a ‘mission’ that has wrought the ire of the people who put food on the tables across Europe.
Muslim Security Guard Opens Fire in Canadian City Hall
Bezhani Sarvar, was working as a security guard and then he decided that Allah had a special mission for him. And, like all of Allah’s special missions, it involved shooting a whole lot of people.
So he headed on over to City Hall in the Canadian city of Edmonton and got on with Allah’s work.
Not that the media will tell you any of this. Here’s the CBC, in the usual fashion of the media, telling you everything else.
The security guard accused of firing shots and causing a small fire with Molotov cocktails inside Edmonton’s city hall on Tuesday is being held in a maximum security unit in the Edmonton Remand Centre.
Bezhani Sarvar, 28, appeared by video Thursday in Edmonton’s Court of King’s Bench.
Wearing an orange jumpsuit, Sarvar didn’t speak during his brief appearance.
He is facing six criminal charges, including reckless discharge of a firearm, using/placing/throwing an explosive substance, arson, possession of incendiary material, using a firearm while committing an offence and careless use of a firearm.
Why did he do any of this?
CBC has confirmed with four people who know Sarvar that he is the person who appears in a roughly four-minute video that is circulating online, including on YEGWAVE’s Instagram page, in which he describes wide-ranging thoughts about modern society while referencing a mission.
A “mission”, what kind of mission? Here’s what he says in the video… not that the CBC will quote it.
“As-Salaam-Alaikum. Brothers and sisters, before I do my mission, I want you all to know that I am not a psychopath.”
Wide-ranging thoughts about modern society indeed.
The Muslim terrorist ranted about “this genocide that’s going on in Gaza and throughout the world” and vowed, “inshallah, we will rise against you guys, and we’ll put you on trial.”
He vowed, “Salam-Alaikum, brothers and sisters. Inshallah. I’ll succeed with my mission. If I don’t succeed, I know somebody else will succeed for me. Salam-Alaikum.”
What’s his motive?
According to the CBC, “Edmonton police continue to investigate the motive for the attack.”
So it’ll be mental illness then. Or perhaps family troubles.

CANADA: “Porn Addicted” Man Sentenced To 15 Months For Creating, Selling Child Abuse Material Claims He Is A “Woman” During Hearing
A pedophile who was found with over 1,000 images of children being sexually abused announced his transgender identity during his sentencing hearing this week. Adam Leslie McDonald of Thunder Bay, Ontario, was sentenced to 15 months in prison and will not have to register as a sex offender.
McDonald, 37, was first arrested in 2021 after the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Cyber Crime Unit became aware of a local internet user who was uploading content with consistent indicators of child sexual abuse material.
McDonald’s Kenwood Avenue residence was raided in June of that year and multiple devices were seized. Further investigation confirmed the uploads, and police ultimately uncovered 1,083 child sexual abuse files on McDonald’s computer and phone. The vast majority of the videos and images featured computer-generated or drawn depictions of children performing sexual acts, but approximately 20 of the files involved real victims, some of whom were toddlers.
Some of the computer generated and drawn images had been created by McDonald and sold by him for the purposes of generating financial gain.
McDonald was taken into custody in August of 2021, two months after police raided his residence. He was released the same day with a future appearance date.
On January 22, 2024, over two years following his arrest, McDonald appeared in court and pleaded guilty to one count of creating child pornography. At his hearing, he revealed that he was now identifying as a woman.
McDonald’s lawyer argued that he was struggling with a porn addiction at the time of his offenses and had no previous criminal record. As a result, there was some debate in the court about subjecting McDonald to the sex offender registry, with prosecutors seeking a 20-year registration while McDonald’s defense argued that it was not warranted.
Justice Vince Scaramuzza ultimately agreed with the defense, and did not order McDonald to the sex offender registry during sentencing. In determining a prison term, Scaramuzza cited McDonald’s low risk to reoffend, that he expressed remorse, and the fact that he denied to having any sexual attraction to children.
Instead, McDonald will be subjected to a 2 year probation following his release from prison, with certain restrictions surrounding his access to the internet. He will also be required to register a DNA sample with the police.
Though previous reports on McDonald referred to him using “he/him” pronouns, local news quickly adjusted for his self-declared identity and began referring to him using feminine pronouns.
Speaking to Reduxx, a media representative from the Thunder Bay Police admitted the situation was complex, but that he was unsure as to whether McDonald’s newfound gender identity would impact how the crime was recorded.
Reduxx inquired about obtaining a photo of McDonald, but police advised that it was not able to be released in accordance with Ontario privacy law.
Germany: Heavily-indebted Berlin spent 3% of its budget on migrants in 2023
The German capital of Berlin spent almost 3 percent of its budget on migrants last year, totaling €1.1 billion, official figures show. Meanwhile, the government argues there is no money to renovate schools and sports halls or maintain transport infrastructure as debt levels spiral.
The data was made available from Social Democrat Cansel Kiziltepe’s Social and Integration Directorate after two parliamentary questions were asked by Senate politician Gunnar Lindemann of the Alternative for Germany (AfD).
The Berlin Senate spent 2.9 percent of total expenditure on migration alone. The Berlin state budget last year totaled €37.9 billion. However, Berlin faces soaring debt levels. At €63.2 billion, Berlin is the second most indebted federal state, after North Rhine-Westphalia.
As Remix News previously reported, Berlin is spending nearly half a billion a year on just 12 residences for migrants, which means a substantial amount of the overall budget for migrants in Berlin comes down to the issue of housing. However, many of the benefits paid out to migrants actually come from the federal government.
According to preliminary analyses, the state of Berlin will have to spend around €613 million in the 2023 budget year under the law on the care of asylum seekers, the Senate stated.
“This money does not belong to the Christian Democratic Union or the Social Democrats. It belongs to the people of Berlin, and the Senate must manage it for their benefit and in their trust,” said AfD’s Lindemann, who pointed out that there is no money for the renovation of schools and sports halls or for the maintenance of transport infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the number of asylum seekers continues to rise significantly. According to the Senate’s reply, Berlin admitted 19,687 asylum seekers last year under the fixed quota, which does not include those who fled from Ukraine.

Afghan rapes young woman on intercity train in Germany: “I felt like it, so I did it”
She was tired, laid her head on the tabletop and fell asleep. When she woke up, she had a penis in her mouth!
Disgusting sexual offence on Intercity Express train 619 from Stuttgart to Ulm. An asylum seeker from Afghanistan has to answer to the regional court for rape. Sefatullah S. (30) has admitted that he sexually abused a young woman (19) on the train on August 7. His reason for the disgusting act at 3.45 a.m.: “I felt like it, so I did it.”
The accused arrived in Germany in 2015 and can neither read nor write. The man with eleven siblings lived in a refugee centre until his arrest, where he said he first came into contact with alcohol and drugs. “I bought whisky and marijuana with my social benefits,” he said. Otherwise, it was all “blah, blah” what was going on here in court.
Sefatullah S. has a criminal record for “sexual offences against children”; the litigants did not provide any information about the status of his asylum proceedings.
The Afghan spent three months in pre-trial detention before being transferred to a psychiatric ward in Ravensburg. The public prosecutor’s office assumes at least a diminished capacity for guilt. He said he was hearing “voices” and in the afternoon the abused woman had to take the witness stand and talk about what was probably the worst moment of her life.
The accused had already served time in prison for his sexual offences and was admitted to a programme for “sex offenders at particular risk of reoffending” after his release. However, the Afghan never took part in the programme; according to a police officer, he ignored all summonses. The only consequence: another criminal complaint …

“Growing your own vegetables is bad for the planet”- Another blatant step in the plan to control our food
Have you ever made a prediction and wished you’d recorded it?
Last week, in a phone conversation with a family member, they happened to mention growing their own vegetables, and I said in reply “Enjoy it while you can, they’re gonna start claiming it’s causing climate change soon.”
Literally four days later…
Apparently, a new study from the University of Michigan has found that “urban gardening” is 5 (or maybe 6, they’re not sure) times worse for the environment than “conventional crops”.
I don’t know how they calculated it, and it doesn’t really matter. If you read the bodies of the articles they even say it only applies to some vegetables in some places and it all depends on how the “infrastructure” is put together.
The details aren’t the point. The point is yet another weapon in the war on food. More regulation, more commercialization, less freedom, all in the name of “fighting climate change”.
And if you’re doubting that’s the agenda here, check out the sheer number of government research agencies which the “supported” the research project:
Support for the project was provided by the UK Economic and Social Research Council, German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, French National Research Agency, U.S. National Science Foundation, Poland’s National Science Centre, and the European Union’s Horizon 202 research and innovation program.
It’s a fairly obvious case of needing a study to support a position, going out and and buying one.
This is one of those stories that exists simply to be a headline, so some pundit can quote it on some political panel on primetime TV and start a conversation about “regulation”.
Since we started with a prediction, let’s end with another one: This is just the first step, and you don’t have to be paying especially close attention to see where it goes from here.
They are never going to make growing your own vegetables illegal, they are just going to make it increasingly difficult.
It will start with licenses, for food safety purposes or something. Maybe an outbreak of a disease will be linked to people sharing food from their allotments.
Licenses will be increasingly expensive, and come with restrictions. You’ll only be allowed to use seeds from specific approved vendors, seeds of GMO plants which “mitigate the impact of climate change”. These seeds will likely be “terminator seeds”, meaning they are sterile in the second generation.
And, in that fashion, growing your own vegetables will no longer be an individual and independent experience, but just another corporate subscription service.

French conservatives slam political judgment after top constitutional court waters down immigration bill
Hardline measures to restrict rights and access to benefits for immigrants are incompatible with the French constitution and must be scrapped, the country’s top constitutional court ruled on Thursday.
The Constitutional Council was reviewing the new immigration bill passed by French lawmakers last month. The legislation was eventually passed with the help of right-wing MPs after significant amendments were tabled by the National Rally to toughen up the law.
The court essentially watered down the bill, returning it to the unedited state proposed by Emmanuel Macron’s governing party, which hardline conservatives considered to be too lightweight.
In doing so, it annulled some of the more radical amendments — 32 articles in total out of 86 — including restrictions on family reunification and student residency permits, stricter criteria for migrants seeking to access welfare benefits, and a clause formally making it a criminal offense to reside in France without the appropriate documentation.
“The Constitutional Council has green-lit the government’s original bill,” Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, remarked on Thursday. “Never has a law provided so many means for expelling delinquents and so many obligations to integrate newcomers,” he added.
Conservatives, however, who initially helped the bill to pass were incensed.
Marine Le Pen, a former presidential candidate and parliamentary leader of the National Rally, accused the top constitutional court of “censoring” large swathes of the bill and that what remains of the legislation “does not make it possible to protect the French from uncontrolled immigration.”
“The French will therefore continue to suffer the migratory madness which is doing so much harm to France, to which the few measures remaining in the text will change nothing,” she wrote in a press release.
“More serious, this decision at a time when many European countries are tightening their legislation, will make France an even more attractive country for migrants,” she added.
Her party leader, Jordan Bardella, declared the immigration bill “stillborn” due to a “coup by the judges.” He declared that a “referendum on immigration” and giving the French people a chance to voice their concerns on the issue is the “only solution.”
The court is highly politicized, comprising primarily previous high-ranking politicians of France’s mainstream parties. Its president, Laurent Fabius, is a former French prime minister and member of the Socialist Party. Other members include Jacqueline Gourault of the liberal Democratic Movement, Jacques Mézard of the Radical Party of the Left, and Alain Juppé, another former French prime minister of the liberal-conservative Republicans who was sentenced to an 18-month suspended prison sentence in 2004 after being found guilty of misuse of public funds.
This politicization of the court was even highlighted by The Republicans President Éric Ciotti, who accused the council of judging “in politics rather than in law.”
He added that “constitutional reform appears more essential than ever to safeguard the destiny of France.”
