The leader of the New Welfare Party (Turkish: Yeniden Refah Partisi), in coalition with Erdoğan’s ruling Justice and Development Party, has called on the Turkish military to intervene in the Israel-Gaza War to help secure the delivery of humanitaian aid.

Fatih Erbakan, President of the New Welfare Party and an ally of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, announced that they made a request to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly regarding the assignment of the Turkish Armed Forces to establish a security corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Erbakan, in his written statement on the subject, reminded that his party has been “calling on the rulers of Muslim countries to take concrete steps and impose sanctions since October 7,” and said, “Unfortunately, no steps have been taken so far and the persecution continues with all its horror.”

“Today, we say, let’s at least deliver humanitarian aid to the innocent civilians there. In this regard, as deputies of the New Welfare Party, we applied to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly with a petition. Our petition text is as follows;

“In order to alleviate the deprivations suffered by the Palestinian people in Gaza, who were condemned to live under blockade for years, due to Israeli attacks, the humanitarian aid provided from Turkey and the world is required to be delivered directly to the victims and needy people, in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent, the Palestinian Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“We respectfully request and request that, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution, it be decided to assign elements of the Turkish Armed Forces to Gaza for a period of one year, the borders, extent and amount of which will be determined by the President, in order to create a safe zone on land and a security corridor at sea.

“We want this request to be voted on in the Parliament as soon as possible and we want our parliament to make a decision in this direction with the support of all parties represented in the parliament.”

It is recalled that on October 19, while addressing the Turkish Parliament, Erbakan called for a comprehensive campaign against Israel as mere condemnations would not would bring about a change in the behaviour of the Jewish state. He also criticised Washington for its support of Israel.

“Incirlik Air Base and the Kürecik Radar Base in our country should be closed. The entire Islamic world is duty-bound to take immediate action under Turkey’s leadership. This is both a humanitarian and a religious obligation. If we aim to halt Zionist terrorism, we must take concrete measures and enforce sanctions that serve as a deterrent,” he stated.

During his address in Parliament, according to Nordic Monitor, Erbakan demanded the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador as persona non grata, the recall of the Turkish ambassador from Israel, the suspension of oil and strategic goods sales to the US and Israel by Muslim nations, the termination of all commercial contracts with American and Israeli firms, the denial of access to Turkish airspace, ports and territorial waters for both the US and Israel, the initiation of a global boycott against Israeli and American products and the pursuit of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Furthermore, there is a need to identify individuals who hold dual Turkish and Israeli citizenship and are serving in the Israeli military, he said. “These individuals should be prosecuted in Turkey for crimes against humanity.”

Referring to the remarks of his late father, Necmettin Erbakan, who was known for his antisemitic views and played a pivotal role in establishing political Islam in Turkey while mentoring Islamist politicians such as President Erdogan, the junior Erbakan asserted that Zionists would only respond to the language of sanctions, not mere words.

“We must be courageous and take action against the Zionist monster that seeks to engulf all of the Middle East and the entire Islamic world after Gaza and Palestine,” he said, stressing that Turkey must lead a global uprising in the strongest way possible against Israel and its supporters.

France is experiencing a surge in anti-Semitism following the outbreak of war between Hamas and Israel.

Since October 7, 857 anti-Semitic acts have been recorded across the country, double the total number of incidents documented throughout the entire year of 2022.

The increase has prompted serious concerns among France’s Jewish community, the biggest in Europe.

It has also resulted in government calls for a harsh crackdown on the incidents and those behind them.

“I want to tell our fellow citizens of the Jewish faith that if they have marks, graffiti on their businesses, on their properties, they should call the police,” said interior minister Gérald Darmanin, who revealed the figures on October 31.

“The Republic will protect them and be very firm.”

The acts of hatred have manifested in various ways, from swastikas daubed on public spaces to offensive graffiti targeting individuals. Schools with Jewish associations have received bomb threats and even, during protests, chants of “Death to the Jews” and calls for intifada, anti-Jewish action, have been heard.

The situation escalated further recently when hateful and anti-Semitic remarks were captured on video in the Paris subway.

One of the worst incidents lately involved 60 large, blue Stars of David being stencilled onto the homes of Jewish people in Paris. The vandals are reported to have been Moldovan and have apparently been deported.

The French Government’s response to the crisis has so far been swift and uncompromising.

More than 430 people have been arrested, and “more than 230 investigations are ongoing”, said Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne.

Furthermore, 956 sites are now being monitored by gendarmes and military personnel participating in what has been dubbed “Operation Sentinel”.

The surge in anti-Semitic action has raised concerns about the broader social and political climate in France.

President of the Union of Jewish Students of France (UEJF) Samuel Lejoyeux said the perpetrators clearly had “a desire to terrorise”.

He added that some students have identified a growing atmosphere of anti-Semitism on university campuses involving “a lot of low-intensity attacks on people: insults, threats …”

In universities, the UEJF said the “atmosphere of anti-Semitism” was “clearly pushed by extreme Left circles”.

“We have students so bad[ly concerned] that they ask us for certificates to not go to class,” said Lejoyeux.

“They are all the more terrified because these are no longer just ‘Dirty Jews’ tags in the toilets, but acts targeting specific people. I have a friend in Strasbourg who has just found her door … [scrawled] with ‘Death to the Jews’.”

The situation has prompted calls for legislative measures to combat anti-Semitism and, what some consider its ideological extension, anti-Zionism. A proposed law seeks to criminalise anti-Zionism, aiming to hold those promoting such views accountable.

The war between Israel and Hamas has caused tensions to flare across Europe.

Following Hamas’ initial attack on Israel on October 7, many European Union countries and institutions declared support for Israel.

Shortly afterwards, some EU Member States, including Spain and Ireland, denounced that stance.

After the October summit of the European Council, the bloc’s position is now more centred on calling for ceasefires and humanitarian aid for the densely populated Gaza Strip.

Many European capitals have seen huge demonstrations, particularly by their Muslim populations. Some, such as those in Brussels have been largely peaceful but others, including in London, broke down into anti-Semitic acts, while elsewhere they ended up in violent rioting.

In a recent piece for Brussels Signal, commentator Ralph Schoellhammer asked what the current situation means for the long-term for Jewish people in Europe, and whether the acceptance of the Jewish way of life in Europe may be at risk.

Another two Jewish stumbling stones, the brass-covered cobblestones commemorating Nazi death camp deportees, were defaced in Rome Wednesday after two on Tuesday, local sources said.
Like the first two, the stones were blackened, either by paint or burning.All four are not in Rome’s Jewish Ghetto, where the majority of the stones are, but in Trastevere.
The stones are dedicated to deportees Eugenio and Giacomo Spizzichino.
The incident comes amid a wave of anti-Semitic episodes in Europe including Stars of David painted on Jewish buildings in Paris Tuesday, and a fire and swastikas at a Jewish cemetery in Vienna Wednesday.
Stumbling stones are ordinary Roman cobblestones bearing a brass plaque with the name and final destination of the Jews deported to Nazi death camps from the Italian capital during WWII. They are installed close to the deportees’ former homes.
The first two defaced stones commemorated the deportation of Michele Ezio Spizzichino and Amedeo Spagnoletto.
Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri said “Rome condemns this outrage against the stumbling stones”.
Rome Chief Rabbi Riccardo Di Segni told La Stampa daily Wednesday that “for us Jews it is a fault to live and dare to defend ourselves” amid Israel’s war with Hamas following the Islamist militants’ surprise attack on southern Israel on October 7.
Some 1,400 people were killed by Hamas, including many women and children, and nearly 9,000 have been killed in Gaza, almost half children, in Tel Aviv’s retaliation according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

A prominent Black Lives Matter activist in the United Kingdom who used over £32,000 (€36,000) in donations intended for a youth charity to fund her lavish lifestyle has been jailed for two and a half years.

Xahra Saleem, 23, set up a GoFundMe page encouraging donations from the public ahead of a Black Lives Matter march in the southwest English city of Bristol in June 2020 which culminated in the toppling of a statue commemorating Edward Colston, a Bristol-based philanthropist who profited in his later years from the slave trade.

The page, which amassed donations totaling £32,344, stated that funds would be used for personal protective equipment (PPE) ahead of the march at the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, with leftover monies being pledged to Changing Your Mindset, a charity for disadvantaged youths based in the Bristol district of St. Paul’s which has a large African-Caribbean population.

At a sentencing hearing on Tuesday, Bristol Crown Court heard how Saleem pocketed the cash and used it to fund an extravagant lifestyle while repeatedly ignoring requests from the charity for her to transfer the funds.

Prosecuting counsel told the court how she made a total of 2,512 payments over a 15-month period, buying herself an iPhone, iMac, clothes, beauty treatments, and spending £5,080 on Uber.

The court heard how Saleem began to panic when the charity came looking for the funds. She reportedly sent a message to a friend on WhatsApp which read: “I’ve done something horrendous… let’s just say my brain spent it. I couldn’t tell you on what, where, or why. I don’t know what I spent it on.”

Saleem had been made a director of Changing Your Mindset and its executives had begun to organize a trip to the Gambia, West Africa, for young people, relying on the funds they expected to receive. Despite repeated attempts to take receipt of the money, it was not forthcoming, prompting the charity to issue Saleem with an ultimatum in June 2021.

In response, Saleem sent an e-mail explaining she had spent the cash. “I am so sorry, I am still trying to understand my actions as well,” the e-mail read.

Those in attendance at the sentencing hearing including a number of the young people affiliated with the charity who were supposed to receive the money, according to local media.

In mitigation, her defense counsel cited her tender age of 20 and admitted that his client had “bitten off far more than she could chew” with the money she had been entrusted with.

He added that Saleem had fallen into a lifestyle of “taking drugs” and “drinking alcohol to excess,” which “would have had an impact on the clarity of her judgment.”

Upon passing his sentence, Judge Michael Longman said: “You did not set out to defraud anyone, but you took the opportunity when you had control of the company’s money to spend it on your own expenses.”

“There should have been no reason why the money could not be transferred, you made excuses for that failure and those excuses were false, contrived, and deliberately deceptive. Initial hopes of solving the issue without involving the police faded. You offered to report yourself to the police but failed to do so,” he added.

Humankind is supposedly ruled by reason. But logic isn’t effective in influencing people, individually or in a group. Advertising, public relations, and propaganda succeed precisely because they bypass reason. They hack the shortcuts the brain uses, changing people’s beliefs and behavior without their realizing it.

Sadly, we are not taught how to guard against these techniques, writes Michelle Stiles in One Idea to Rule Them All: Reverse Engineering American Propaganda. This ignorance, she says, has “devastating consequences for both individuals and society as a whole.”

Some techniques are as old as civilization. Many books cover those used in advertising. Stiles’s scholarly book instead addresses how the ubiquitous manufacture of consent has eclipsed faith in the media and democracy, with stagecraft and narrative supplanting the search for truth. Like a 21st-century Orwell, she warns that tyranny begins with control and abuse of language. She aims to help us recognize the modus operandi of Idea Bullies, who use nefarious means to make an unwary public accept the dominant narrative.

Stiles begins with a startling fact. It wasn’t Nazi Germany or communist dictatorships that first mastered mass persuasion. It was the American government in the lead-up to U.S. involvement in World War I. The working and middle classes saw the war as a businessman’s venture and were reluctant to enlist. To overcome this resistance, President Woodrow Wilson set up the Committee on Public Information (CPI) headed by George Creel. Other key figures were Arthur Bullard, Edward Bernays, and Walter Lippmann.

Together, they drew on and orchestrated the skills of intellectuals, journalists, local leaders, artists, businessmen, and others to get young men to believe in the cause and sign up to fight. Every means was deployed to sell the war to Americans and the world—the printed word, the spoken word, motion pictures, posters, and radio. ‘Four-minute men’—essentially paid shills—would give seemingly extempore speeches at public meetings, plays, and other places to push the war effort. They doubled up as snitches. Those expressing anti-war sentiments were shamed, censored, or faced legal action. In the end, Creel could boast that the committee’s work was a “vast enterprise in salesmanship, the world’s greatest adventure in advertising.”

Stiles traces these techniques to Gustave Le Bon’s 1896 book The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind. Le Bon, a French polymath of elitist bent, distrusted revolutions and the common person’s ability to make collective decisions. He discerned that the masses could be controlled and societal upheavals avoided by manipulating the subconscious mind of the crowd through the creation of illusions and the affirmative declaration of ‘truths’ repeated to the point of contagion (going viral, in current usage). He predicted the Era of Crowds and, well before the arrival of mass media, foresaw its use in shaping public attitudes.

Le Bon identified five pillars of influence that made greater impact than facts, logic, or persuasion: authority (what experts think); experience (seeing is believing); social pressure (what others think and do, translated in current advertising jargon as social proof); imagination (cultural stories); and language (framing the debate). This is common knowledge today, says Stiles, but was path-breaking in Le Bon’s time. His acuity lay in recognizing that, soon, reason would prove ineffective as a means of persuasion,

Stiles presents a list from Le Bon’s playbook for fooling the masses:

• Images and words: the vaguer and more evocative of connection, value, community, and fairness, the better.
• Ideas simplified: reducing complex ideas to a least common denominator because the mass mind abhors complexity.
• Illusions: creating and sustaining them. Popular art and entertainment play a major role in this, acting directly on the imagination.
• Experience: spectacle and extreme incidents can impress the masses or cause widespread fear, and sharing such experiences can catalyze opinion change.
• Affirmation, repetition, contagion, and imitation: formulaic ideas must be offered as truths, repeated often, and disseminated widely, perpetuating chains of imitation.
• Prestige and authority: humans are primed to fit in, so they will think and do what others, especially those they admire, are thinking or doing. This is also linked to humans’ instinctive need for leaders whom they will follow without question.

Le Bon’s work gained a wide readership, influencing Freud, Hitler, Mussolini, and Roosevelt. In America, Freud’s nephew, Edward Bernays, gained sophistication in using Le Bon’s methods while working with Creel on the CPI, and parleyed them into a multimillion-dollar industry as the putative father of public relations. Besides writing books such as Propaganda and Crystallizing Public Opinion, he made women’s smoking and heavy breakfasts fashionable, marketed pianos, and made green a popular color—all through staged events and news management. He even influenced the 1954 overthrow of a communist government in Guatemala for the United Fruit Company.

Stiles shows how those methods have been magnified in the present day. Moving back and forth between past and present, she lays bare the framework of these methods and the modifications they have undergone. At the core lies an elitist disdain for the public: Le Bon had it, and so, Stiles reveals, did Walter Lippmann. A supposed liberal Democrat, he believed a technocracy must guide society for its own good and “thought very little of the people reading his daily opinion pieces.” He insidiously advocated organizing opinion through the intervention of disinterested experts—not explaining how they could be disinterested and who would hold them accountable.

Two present-day amplifications of manipulative methods that Stiles expands on are Operation Sheepskin and Operation Spider’s Web, her shorthand names for complex strategies to transform society. Operation Sheepskin, in her own words, involves wolves working in a pack to steer “the big ship of public opinion straight into piles of profit…” by telling “the sheep a story. Get them worked up and a tad nervous and disoriented, and lead them to safety.” If Sheepskin chiefly works one issue at a time, Operation Spider’s Web aims at global control through the monopolization of ideas and the capture of leadership in academia and societal institutions.

Quoting sociologists C. Wright Mills and Peter Philips, she explains how interconnected networks of global elites with trillions of dollars in investment firms control the “ideological justification driving desired actions to be implemented worldwide in pursuit of their shared interests through transnational organizations.” With a set of ‘Tribal Elders’ at the center, the web also encompasses, at the national level, universities, politicians, scientists, NGOs, the justice system, and government agencies.

Stiles’s examples chiefly relate to using these ops during U.S. intervention in foreign countries in the name of liberation and covering for-profit sub-rosa enterprises. The ops work by capturing academia and societal institutions: career advancement, research grants, millions of dollars are all contingent on adopting the party line in a kind of mass formation psychosis. Stiles doesn’t mention it, but the pandemic and the subsequent vaccine tyranny also saw these ops succeeding. The media—90% of which is controlled by six companies, with a vast overlap of board directors with top multi-national corporations—has always aided these ops.

The author’s primary motivation in writing the book is to help people recognize the extent of propaganda. One key, she says, is to pinpoint the distortion of reality through words—size-challenged for fat, and minor-attracted persons for pedophiles come to mind. Another, she says, is the manipulative infusion of moral connotations into language—science vs. anti-science, and climate denier or climate skeptic for those who question climate change. She hopes her parsing of numerous examples will teach those who believe in freedom to recognize patterns of manipulation, start to follow the money, listen to whistleblowers, and dig deep to seek the truth and counter tyranny.

A Jewish area of the Vienna Central Cemetery suffered an arson attack on Wednesday, November 1st, as part of the estimated 165 antisemitic incidents in Austria since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th. 

The fire in the Jewish area of the cemetery was deliberately set according to investigators who stated that two sources of fire were found, significant damage to the vestibule of a ceremonial hall and a gate within the cemetery, Kronen Zeitung reports. 

Oskar Deutsch, president of the Israeli Religious Community (IRG), posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, with pictures of the aftermath of the attack, which included crude swastikas painted on the exterior of the hall, along with the word “Hitler,” a report from the Jüdische Allgemeine newspaper states.

“In the burned-out room, there were very valuable, old books and a Torah shrine without Torah scrolls. Everything destroyed. It is one of 165 confirmed anti-Semitic incidents since the Oct. 7 massacre. Dozens of incidents are still being investigated by the Antisemitism Reporting Office of the IKG,” he said. 

Rabbi Schlomo Hofmeister added, “The desecration of Jewish cemeteries is one of the most cowardly and disgusting forms of anti-Semitic violence!”

The attack comes despite Austrian authorities stating that police protection of Jews and Jewish sites would be increased following the Hamas massacre of over 1,400 Israeli civilians on October 7th. 

The Vienna police released a statement on the incident saying, ”After the fire in the Jewish part of the cemetery in Simmering and the spraying of an outer wall with National Socialist symbols, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution is already intensively investigating.”

According to Kronen Zeitung, the police also stated that they were “focusing on the protection of Jews living in Austria,” adding, “That is why the focus is on protecting people.”

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer condemned the attack saying, “I strongly condemn the attack on the Jewish cemetery in Vienna. Antisemitism has no place in our society and will be fought with all political and legal means. I hope the perpetrators are identified quickly.”

Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, meanwhile, stated that hundreds of police were on the streets of Vienna due to Halloween and that they had intervened in several incidents that night, including an impromptu rally at the central Stephansplatz in which “numerous people were stopped after they had chanted antisemitic slogans and were reported to the public prosecutor’s office.”

The act is just the latest antisemitic incident in Vienna. Two weeks earlier, a man yelling “Allahu Akbar” smashed the window of a local kosher butcher shop and yelled “Free Palestine” before running away. 

According to the Antisemitism Reporting Office, there were 76 antisemitic incidents in Austria from October 7th to October 19th alone, an increase of 300% compared to the prior year. 

Austria is not unique in seeing a wave of antisemitism since October 7th. Germany has also seen an attempted arson attack against a synagogue in Berlin, while the German Federal Association of Research and Information Centres on Antisemitism (Rias) also noted a 240% increase in antisemitic incidents. 

The attempted firebombing was widely condemned, with Gideon Joffe, chairman of the Jewish Community of Berlin stating:

85 years after the Kristallnacht pogrom, synagogues in Germany’s capital are burning again. The anti-Jewish violence on the streets of Berlin has thus reached a new dimension. Quite rightly, the security measures for Jewish institutions in Berlin have been increased. And it was probably possible to prevent even worse things from happening for the time being. But despite everything, Jews in our city no longer feel safe.

The Chair of the European Jewish Association, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, has also spoken out regarding the surge of antisemitism in Western Europe, claiming that every Jew in Europe feels threatened.

“Does anyone want to die? “This is my way of speaking. Eh! It was up to France to tell me what the rules are in this country!”.

(…) Lawyer Hanifa Malik wonders if her client “gets everything he says right”. She recounts the career of the man who lost his mother at a very young age and was abandoned by his father. The man who confided in her that he was “afraid of going crazy after what he saw”. The lawyer said she was “saddened that the words Allahu Akbar, uttered by millions of Muslims at least five times a day, are only associated with terrorism”.

Daouda Sangare is sentenced to three months in prison without parole and remains in custody in Amiens. He is also obliged to leave French territory. “I have crossed the desert, I have crossed the sea; if I have to, I will go somewhere else,” he assured.

Hamburg fell victim to further riots on the evening of Halloween as hundreds of masked vandals launched fireworks at police and had to be dispersed by water cannons.

In scenes reminiscent of the same time last year, around 350 individuals gathered in the Harburg district of the Geman port city intent on causing civil unrest. The group smashed windows of businesses and set garbage cans alight, and when faced with an order to leave the area by riot police, the vandals targeted officers with pyrotechnics and bottles.

Anti-Semitic chants were also heard by the authorities, NDR Info reported, suggesting a link between the rioters’ sympathy for the Hamas-run Gaza Strip amid the ongoing conflict with Israel.

“Firecrackers were thrown at emergency services,” a police spokesperson told local media, revealing a significant police operation was required to control the situation.

Footage circulated on social media showed police deploying water cannons to restore order after significant damage was inflicted on the affected neighborhood.

A separate group of around 50 vandals in the Lurup district of the city was also contained by police.

Police initiated criminal proceedings against 33 participants in the riots, and three officers have been confirmed to have sustained injuries in Hamburg.

Incidents were also reported in other cities across the country, including in Berlin where similar scenes were witnessed.

“Someone didn’t understand Halloween. The first reports have been written,” said a police spokesperson from the German capital.

The AfD parliamentary group in the Hamburg state parliament claimed the riots were initiated by the city’s migrant population, and said the scenes “ruthlessly exposed the excesses of the parallel society.”

“Hamburg needs a consistent zero-tolerance strategy against rioting migrant mobs and no-go areas,” the party’s parliamentary group leader Dirk Nockemann added.

The national party also called for a crackdown on migrant disorder and urged for all foreign criminals to be removed from Germany.

“It must not be tolerated that Halloween and New Year’s Eve celebrations lead to war-like states of emergency every year,” it posted on X, formerly Twitter. “All criminals with foreign citizenship must be deported immediately. The security of our country is non-negotiable!” it added.

Hamburg’s police union issued a statement claiming “it can no longer be denied that we have an ever-increasing problem with violence in Germany and Hamburg.

“It is naive to believe that, due to the length of criminal proceedings, the jurisprudence is sufficient to achieve preventive effects,” said its chairman Horst Niens. “We have to strengthen the rule of law again and regain authority over criminals,” he added, calling for harsher penalties for those involved in the disorder.

Men involved in one of the longest-running homosexual pro-pedophilia forums have recently been discussing the “benefits” of drugs to halt a child’s puberty. BoyChat, which has been in operation since 1995, was founded by a self-described “boy lover” and operates as a network for men to connect and discuss their pedophilic interest in boys as well as strategies for promoting the normalization of pedophilia.

On October 14, a man using the screen name “Pharmakon” posted a statement to BoyChat asserting his belief that puberty should be voluntary, and that the view was only controversial due to transphobic sentiment.

“Puberty comes on average two years sooner than it did a generation ago. Puberty blockers have been used for most of that time to delay ‘precocious puberty,’ but it’s left up to doctors and parents — not kids — to decide what that means. Puberty blockers only became controversial due to trans hate,” he wrote. “Even where giving kids puberty blockers has been made illegal for trans affirmation, it remains legal for cis kids!”

The post concludes by stating, “Puberty blockers should be available on demand so kids who want to can choose when, or if, they will experience puberty.”

Responses to the suggestion were mixed, but prompted widespread discussion on the pedophile forum regarding halting children’s puberty.

“I like the idea of generations – children and parents and grandparents and great grandparents – I like the stages of human life that have been assigned to us by evolution,” another user added, continuing with the suggestion that he found puberty to be sexually arousing.

“I don’t see puberty as a disaster in terms of boyish beauty. Indeed, very much the contrary :). And it seems to me that the developing mind and body and emotions of the adolescent boy, which require adult masculine guidance, provides a vital raison d’etre for pederasty.”

Another user, “Cherubino,” argued that “puberty blockers are reversible” while puberty is not.

“I don’t think any medical facilities or personnel would be willing to perform the surgery on a minor,” he said, referring to genital surgeries that are euphemistically labeled “gender-affirming” care.

“Puberty itself is also not reversible, so delaying it should be an option, and without significant risk or harm compared to the potential benefits,” he added.

In a follow-up discussion of the supposed “benefits” of halting puberty, “Cherubino” remarked: “How about allowing a celebrated boy soprano to extend his career? In any case, it’s a private decision, not your decision nor mine. From a medical ethics POV, it is not the ethical quandary that a surgical intervention presents.”

This is not the first time the issue has been raised within the forum. Last year, “Cherubino” told of how he believes that “all cute boys should get puberty blockers.”

The comment was in response to a discussion on a September 2022 proposed bill, since passed, by California Senator Scott Wiener which established that the state would provide “refuge” for “trans kids” from other states where doctors are prohibited from administering puberty blockers to minors.

Men involved in the BoyChat community often exchange tips on how to avoid law enforcement and advocate for sexual offending against minors. The terms “pro-contact” and “no contact” or “anti-contact” are used to differentiate between those who believe sex with minors should be legalized and those who claim to avoid acting on their urge to abuse.

BoyChat has been running for nearly three decades, and offers a messaging platform for users to speak with each other. The founder of BoyChat, who used the alias “Kasper,” had initially set up the forum as part of a pedophile network called Free Spirits, which he launched in the fall of 1995.

Archived versions of the site show that from its beginning, the forum openly advocated for homosexual pedophilia, or pederasty. The page’s background depicted a pro-pedophilia symbol, a smaller blue triangle inside of a larger triangle, which is described as representing a boy with an adult man.

According to the Free Spirits site, boy love is “a phenomenon of attraction to boys that many males exhibit, in which there are erotic, aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Many people call it an orientation just like any other.”

“There is an ethical consensus among the BoyChat community and the keepers of the sites that all forms of non-voluntary sexual contact are to be condemned. Some participants in BoyChat voice their opinions that men should not have sexual contacts with boys when the boys seek it, because they don’t want to risk the dangers of society’s reaction. Others, especially those who sought out relationships with men as boys, say that some boys are harmed when their repeated requests for love and intimacy are rejected, and that it is a natural right that boys be able to make their personal choice,” reads the site’s FAQ page.

The mission statement, adopted July 14, 1997, claims to be “dedicated to promoting open communication among boy lovers, the most underserved and misunderstood sexual minority remaining in today’s human society. Free Spirits sponsors various means through which the international boylove movement can hold ongoing discussions, provide mutual support, and educate the rest of society about this diverse and responsible community.”

The most recent version of the website offers a live chat session called LifeLine. The service is described as “a real-time support chat for people who are attracted to children. Whether you’re a boylover or a girllover, or someone who knows one, we’re here to listen.”

In 1997, one of the founding members of the pedophile network placed an advertisement in a Usenet forum that was aimed at “boy lovers.” Usenet, created in 1980, was one of the very first computer networks and an alternative to the United States military-controlled ARPANET system. It was developed in the US and initially used largely by academics and programmers. Usenet was also the site of some of the FBI’s first computer-related child pornography busts in the mid-90’s, after a ten year-old boy suddenly disappeared and investigators discovered a “larger ring of pedophiles.”

Former president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Ernest E. Allen, commented during a 1997 Senate subcomittee hearing on the proliferation of child pornography on the internet: “A 1995 Carnegie Mellon University study found that over a year and a half period, 83.5 percent of digitized pictures stored on Usenet groups were pornographic in nature. The study also asserted that pedophilic, hebephelic, and paraphiliac images accounted for approximately 3 million downloaded images from an adult online bulletin board.”

He continued: “Testifying before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Security and Terrorism in 1995, Postal Inspector Paul Hartman testified that he had previously been convinced that pedophiles were members of an underground subculture with no formal lines of communication — until he discovered the prolific use of computers to exchange information and discuss their sexual desires.”

In January, Reduxx revealed that the general manager of a controversial “child protection organization” which campaigns against child pornography bans and campaigns state representatives demanding child-like sex dolls be kept legal had been posting in BoyChat about his pedophilic interest in young boys.

Prescott Bayern, the general manager of Prostasia, posted to BoyChat in 2022 that he was “the definition of a ‘dirty old man.’” He continued: “I can no longer go out to find the boys who need me, so, I have set traps just outside of the front yard fence. One day, I’ll catch one.”

Bayern has been active in a variety of online forums advocating for adult-child sexual relations. In one post, he announced that he was going to masturbate to the sight of children to emphasize that pedophilic fantasies and “thought crimes” could not be policed.

In June, Reduxx was the first to report that an academic at Canada’s McGill University had been soliciting members of the pro-pedophile forum for anonymous research, while promising to protect their identities regardless of any sexual offending against minors committed by survey participants.

The survey, created by psychology PhD researcher Julia Levitan, also inquired about various options related to gender identity, including “pansexual, sexually attracted to children in general, regardless of their gender,” and “queer, sexually attracted to children in a way that does not correspond to traditional/established ideas of gender sexual orientation.”
