Such leaders are protected from violence themselves, because the very taxpayers they fail to protect are paying for their security, while those same taxpayers are now living in fear. The justified frustration of the French populace now threatens these politicians, so they blame the “far right,” which they regard as a much easier target than the Muslims who stir pro-Palestinian violence.

I am a chemical engineer who once did research on removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the emissions of industrial plants or directly from the atmosphere. But I now see CO2 as a critical plant food necessary for all of life on Earth. Frankly, the more the better.
In my former career, I presented my research on optimizing a CO2 capture system for a coal-fired power plant in the 2018 American Institute of Chemical Engineers Annual Meeting. I also contributed to a project sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency — Energy, which involved integrating a natural gas power plant with CO2 capture systems.
Despite my career path, I was skeptical about the popular theory of human-induced climate change. Furthermore, at the time, I had a generally positive view of fossil fuels. In fact, my Ph.D. research was funded by Chevron, a descendant of the Standard Oil Co. and among the archvillains of those predicting overheating from emissions of CO2.
Nonetheless, it was not until I read a CO2 Coalition paper titled “Challenging ‘Net Zero’ with Science” that my eyes were fully opened. The authors’ arguments were based on rigorous scientific inquiry. They concluded that CO2 and fossil fuels are beneficial, that there is no climate crisis, and that “net zero” policies seeking the elimination of CO2 emissions from coal, oil, and natural gas are detrimental — even dangerous.
I was struck most by the benefits of CO2, which was something I had not put much thought into. CO2 is essential for plant growth and food production. In fact, doubling atmospheric CO2 from today’s concentrations of approximately 400 parts per million (ppm) to 800 ppm could increase food production by 40-60%.
The CO2 Coalition paper referenced the works of Dr. Sherwood B. Idso. After digging deeper, I found out about experiments with sour orange trees performed by Drs. Idso and Bruce A. Kimball (published in 1993, 1997, and 2001). Compared to trees in ambient air, ones exposed to air enriched with CO2 concentrations of 700 ppm grew 2.75 times larger at the end of the second year, 2.0 times larger at the end of the fifth, and 1.8 times larger after nine years. Beginning in the third year, fruit production for CO2-enriched trees was 25 times greater and eventually averaged to almost twofold through the entire life cycle of the plant.
Higher concentrations of CO2 also reduce plants’ loss of water vapor through lowered transpiration rates, where transpiration refers to the exchange of oxygen for CO2 through openings in leaves known as stomata. In other words, higher concentrations of CO2 increase plants’ resistance to drought. This, in turn, means that more moisture remains in the soil and has been partially credited with a global decline in wildfire. This phenomenon was confirmed through research published in 2003, where the water-use efficiency of sour orange trees exposed to CO2 concentrations of 700 ppm increased by 80% compared to those exposed to ambient air.
As for fossil fuels, their benefits are seemingly endless. First, they are reliable and cheap sources of energy. And their combustion emits the CO2 that is salutary to plant growth.
What was new to me is the role of fossil fuels in providing fertilizers and pesticides critical to growing the food required for the world’s eight billion people. For instance, ammonia (NH3), a crucial component of fertilizer, can be formed by reacting natural gas with atmospheric nitrogen (N2), and pesticides are produced from oil and gas. One billion pounds of pesticides are used annually in the United States, where they keep weeds and insects in check to allow modern agriculture’s extraordinary level of crop production.
In short, CO2 is absolutely necessary for life and more of it is clearly a plus. Fossil fuels improve the quality of life and make rich lives possible for many billions, whereas mere millions once struggled mightily just to survive. Removing CO2 from the atmosphere makes no sense.
Finally, CO2 capture, besides being illogical, is prohibitively expensive. Capturing CO2 from emissions and then transporting and storing it can cost trillions of dollars and decades of investment. CO2 capture systems cannot operate without ongoing government subsidies, and currently, are only removing approximately 0.1% of the 40 billion tons of CO2 emitted per year.
At this point, bottling up CO2 should be left for manufacturers of carbonated beverages and dry ice and for the purposes of other specialized industrial processes. I am very happy to have transitioned from CO2 capture to the CO2 Coalition, and I am working hard to spread the facts about the benefits of this amazing molecule.

Streets across Europe are filling with racist far right men who are unhappy with their children getting stabbed!
A far-left activist group associated with Antifa has set up a fake website to trick Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) members into sharing private files. The website afdbund.de is a replica of the real AfD website (afd.de), using much of the same imagery as well as the party’s logo, and calls on AfD party members to upload files to the website that “could be misused for a prohibition procedure against our party.” A “prohibition procedure” refers to efforts to ban the AfD.
Claiming that the files will remain anonymous, the website states, “Here you can transfer screenshots, videos, documents, or other files that support your suspicions.”
While most of the links on the website transfer to the real AfD website, the imprint indicates that the site is actually managed by ‘AfD – Artists for Democracy GmbH’ run by Philipp Ruch.
Ruch is a notorious far-left activist in Germany and is the head of the Zentrum für Politische Schönheit (Centre for Political Beauty), a group which has been raided by German police in the past for their actions against the AfD. Previous actions have included destroying AfD campaign material after lying to the party and claiming to be a distribution company.
The group was raided in early 2022 after destroying around five million political flyers ahead of the 2019 federal elections, an act the group passed off as ‘artistic expression.’
In 2018, the group created another fake website that tricked conservative activists and protestors in Chemnitz into searching for their own names and thereby identifying themselves to the group, with Ruch himself admitting the site was a ‘honeypot trap,’ also referred to as an ‘Antifa action’ by the far-left German newspaper Die Tageszeitung.
“This is the most relevant data currently available on right-wing extremism in Germany,” Ruch said at the time and offered to help the German security services saying, “If, for example, the Federal Minister of the Interior wants to know more and would like to have a coffee with us, then he should come by.”
The ‘honeypot’ came after protests lasting several days in the city of Chemnitz that year following the murder of Daniel Hillig who was stabbed to death by two migrants from Syria and Iraq, with the Syrian convicted of murder in 2019.
AfD supporters on X also claim to have received letters in the mail asking them to export their chat histories and contacts on apps like Telegram and WhatsApp, providing QR codes and links to the activists’ afdbund website. The letters carry AfD party logos and forged signatures by the leaders of the party, Alice Weidel, Alexander Gauland, and Tino Chrupalla.
Christian Braun, a supporter of the AfD, posted the letter on X saying, “The ‘Center for Political Beauty’ is committing crimes again, forging AfD designs and even signatures.”
On Tuesday, November 28th, the Centre for Political Beauty made headlines for publishing a deepfake video of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz declaring the AfD had been banned by the federal government, a ban that would come into effect in June of next year.
The German government, however, does not seem to be enthusiastic about the video. Government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit stated that the government would be looking into whether or not it would be taking legal action against Ruch and his group.
Along with the video, the Centre for Political Beauty launched a website named AfD Banned which lists around 350 members of the AfD and their alleged ‘speech crimes,’ something the group believes is justification for the party to be banned by the government.
The website is a replica of the Federal Chancellor’s website, and, like the afdbund site, calls on people to submit information to help get the AfD banned. The site also calls for donations, claiming to be currently funded into at least March of next year and lists Ruch and ‘Artists for Democracy’ as the owners of the site.
The projects from the Centre for Political Beauty come as many have called for the AfD to be banned. The party has skyrocketed in polls to become the second largest in Germany, behind the centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) sister party.
Earlier this month, the magazine Der Spiegel, openly called for the AfD to be banned stating, “The AfD has become more and more radicalized. It is time to defend democracy with sharper weapons.”
CDU MP and former Eastern Commissioner of the Federal Government Marco Wanderwitz has even gone as far as drafting legislation in the Bundestag, the German parliament, to ban the AfD, claiming that to save democracy the party must be banned.
“We are dealing with a party that seriously endangers our free democratic basic order and the state as a whole,” he said and added, “That’s why it’s high time to ban them.”
Even if such a law were passed, however, only the German Constitutional Court has the ability to ban any political party, something it has been extremely hesitant to do in the past.
The terrorist who killed two Swedes in Brussels in October has been buried under an unrevealed false name to prevent his resting place from becoming a rallying point for “sympathisers”, local press has reported.
Authorities buried Abdesalem Lassoued, who shot dead two Swedish football supporters, in the multi-confessional cemetery at Evere while deliberately concealing his identity, newspaper La Capitale reported on November 29.
Lassoued, 45, was buried “while giving him a false name” in the cemetery’s plot reserved for Muslims . The decision to use a pseudonym was to discourage “outbreaks” and “prevent his grave from becoming a meeting place for sympathisers”, cemetery management told the newspaper.
A number of terrorists are buried at the Evere cemetery including: Brahim Abdeslam, who blew himself up in a Paris café in 2015; Bilal Hadfi, who did the same up after trying to get into the Paris Stade de France stadium; Chakib Akrouh, who also sef-detonated while under assault by French police in the Saint Denis suburb; and Khalid Ben Larb, who was shot dead by Belgian Commandos in 2015 during a raid on an apartment in Verviers, near Liège.
Terrorists are seldom allowed back into their country of origin for burials, La Capitale reported.
Lassoued, a Tunisian, claimed he was acting in the name of Islamic State.
Molenbeek, another Brussels neighbourhood, became infamous worldwide after the 2015 Paris attacks as an incubator of terrorists. That came when it was revealed a number of them, including several of those cited above, had operated there for years with impunity.
The Belgian capital’s authorities have made efforts to improve the area’s image and address radicalisation in the intervening years, although the success of such plans is seen as debatable.
There has been an increase in violent crime, including shootings, over the past two years following the arrival of international drug mafias, who are also reported to be using Molenbeek as a base.

Eight gang rapists have been set free to walk the streets of Germany despite being convicted of a heinous and violent rape of a 15-year-old girl, with the case drawing outrage in a country known for its lax policy towards migrant rapists. The Hamburg regional juvenile court gave its guilty verdict Tuesday; however, only one convicted rapist, an Iranian migrant, was sentenced to two years and nine months in juvenile detention despite DNA evidence being found on the victim from all nine men.
The case dates back to 2020, when the crowd robbed a drunk female student in Hamburg city park, raped her repeatedly, and then filmed the whole incident.
All the defendants, who are between 19 and 23, received suspended sentences, except for the one Iranian, which means none of the others will serve any jail time. Media reports indicate that eight of the nine rapists had migration backgrounds, with the convicted rapists coming from Poland, Egypt, Kuwait, Iran, Armenia, and Afghanistan.
The court determined that the 15-year-old victim, who was heavily intoxicated, was dragged into a bush in the park in September 2020. Four of the convicted men raped her, and then stole her cell phone and wallet. Then, two others sexually abused the woman. However, it did not end there, with three others then moving in to sexually abuse the young girl.
Traces of semen were found from all the men on the victim.
The light suspended sentences were handed out despite none of the men showing any remorse during the trial, according to Bild newspaper, which sat in during the proceedings. One perpetrator was described as nearly falling asleep during the trial.
The migrants’ lawyers argued that the men were operating with high testosterone levels as an excuse behind the gang rape.
The Iranian who was sent to juvenile detention responded during the trial: “What man doesn’t want that?”
In response, Judge Anne Meier-Goering responded that “we have the right to ensure that young men who are under testosterone also adhere to the law.”
The trial began in May 2022 and lasted 68 days and involved 96 witnesses, with such a large-scale trial proving costly all in itself. Experts also were called in by the courts to testify. Witnesses described a video made during the rape, but the videos were later deleted, which means authorities were never able to view them.
Meier-Goering issued her guilty verdict and sentences on Tuesday.

Dr. Who is a British institution. The sci-fi show about a benevolent alien who travels through space and time, repeatedly saving the world, originally ran on BBC from 1963 through 1989 and then was rebooted in 2005. At its best, it’s incredibly fun and very imaginative. At its worst, though, it’s leftwing garbage. It is, as I said, a BBC production. When the show introduced a female iteration of Dr. Who in 2017, it seemed to have hit peak wokedom. Wrong. We’ve reached a new peak with a three-part special edition of Dr. Who for the show’s 60th anniversary, which completely embraces gender madness.
For those new to Who-world, here’s the premise. Dr. Who is a Time Lord, meaning that he is a member of a species that, using his phone-booth-shaped “Tardis,” can travel forward and backward in time, as well as go to any place in the universe. Dr. Who is nearly immortal because the body in which he appears can die, but Dr. Who repeatedly regenerates. This was, of course, a very clever way to deal with the multitude of actors required for a show that began in 1963 and, barring a 16-year hiatus, is still on today.
During these multi-dimensional travels, Dr. Who regularly saves the Earth, other planets, and myriad spacecraft from aliens, especially the very silly-looking Daleks, who are the most malevolent colonizers in the history of the universe. Think of them as Jihadists armed with death-ray shooting toilet plungers.
The show always had a leftist edge, especially when it came to Dr. Who’s dream of gun control. Of course, Dr. Who wasn’t opposed to weapons of tremendous power in his own hands. It was just that, you know, he could be trusted with them.
The show was fun. It’s always great to see space aliens repeatedly invade England only to have the current Dr. Who and his sidekick repel them at the last minute. It’s like an updated Flash Gordon with a blue, 1950s-style British police booth zipping from ancient Rome to the death of the universe, all over the course of a few episodes.
The male Dr. Who always had a female British-based human sidekick who traveled with him. In the last season I watched, the human sidekick was a lesbian. But still, it was always a gender-binary thing. I’m guessing that the female Dr. Who probably had both male and female sidekicks but, again, they were male and female.
In 2023, that’s insufficiently woke. This time around, for the special three-episode 60th-anniversary edition with David Tennant, the most popular Who of all, Dr. Who has an ostensibly female/non-binary sidekick. Even better, the biologically male actor playing that part is a “transgender” woman of color! Apparently, they couldn’t find a qualified person who was also confined to a wheelchair.
That’s bad enough but, in one of the episodes, that same sidekick chides Dr. Who for assuming an alien being’s gender:

David Tennant, a brilliant actor (see Good Omens), should be ashamed of himself.
As I said, I lost interest in Dr. Who when the female Time Lord rolled around, so I can’t refuse to watch it now because I’m not watching it anyway. In any event, it’s on Disney+, to which I will not give my business. After this aggressive “transgender” wokeness, I hope many others join me in abandoning both franchises.

A group of Republican attorneys general have warned that Joe Biden’s new proposals would drive Christians out of the foster care system.
The new rule will remove faith-based providers from the foster care system if they do not change their religious beliefs on sexual orientation and gender identity.
On Monday, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall along with 18 Republican colleagues in other states wrote a letter to the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) calling for the Biden administration to change the rule.
The group claim that the requirements for foster care families violates the Constitution and discriminates against people who uphold a Biblical view on sexuality and gender.
New plans would require foster families to utilise a foster child’s “identified pronouns, chosen name, and allow the child to dress in an age-appropriate manner that the child believes reflects their self-identified gender identity and expression.”
The proposals, named the Safe and Appropriate Foster Care Placement Requirements, also ensure a “safe and appropriate” placement for any child identifying as LGBT+.
In order to be “safe and appropriate”, providers must establish an environment that is “free of hostility, mistreatment, or abuse based on the child’s LGBTQI+ status.”
HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra said: “This is going to change the complexion of how we view foster care treatment for our foster kids, but more importantly, how we look at the people who we rely on to care for foster kids.”
However, the attorney generals hit back saying that “the proposed rule will harm children by limiting the number of available foster homes, harm families by risking kinship placements, and harm states by increasing costs and decreasing care options.”
They wrote: “These injuries will be suffered while HHS fails to solve a problem that the proposed rule does not even prove exists in foster care.”
Their letter also highlights that the foster care system depends on both individuals and organisations of faith.
The latest data suggests that nearly 391,000 children were in foster care in 2022 and it will be estimated that 416,500 children will be in foster care by 2027.
“Without faith-based organisations and foster homes, the foster care system would face a critical lack of placement options,” the AGs wrote.
They added that “caring for children in need is a duty of the Christian faith.”
Marshall said: “Since the first century, Christians across the globe have answered the call to provide a home and a family to children who had neither.”
“Alabama boasts a particularly strong faith-based foster care and adoption community, and I will fight this Administration for them every step of the way.”

A “non-binary queer” artist and former VICE contributor has been sentenced to 90 months in federal prison for the possession of child pornography after arranging to sexually abuse a 9-year-old boy. Efrem Zelony-Mindell, 35, was initially arrested in Manhattan, New York, on December 16, 2022.
According to the criminal complaint reviewed by Reduxx, Zelony-Mindell began communicating with an undercover FBI agent in early 2022 after meeting him on Scruff, a hook-up app for homosexual men. During these conversations, Zelony-Mindell slowly began to introduce more extreme topics, and questioned the agent if he was “into taboo.”
Soon after, Zelony-Mindell asked if the agent had a Telegram account, where the two then began corresponding. He expressed an interest in “[young] incest,” and repeatedly stated his desire to sexually abuse children.
Approximately one month later, the undercover agent offered to introduce Zelony-Mindell to another agent posing as a father of a 9-year-old boy offering his son for rape. He immediately affirmed his desire to sexually abuse the child, and arrangements were made for the two to meet after they had spoken both through an encrypted messaging service, text message, and on the phone.
Zelony-Mindell also sent videos and images of child pornography to the undercover agent after admitting his interest in pedophilia. Within the FBI special agent’s complaint, graphic descriptions of the materials Zelony-Mindell sent to the first undercover agent were provided.
Among the media, were “a video depicting an adult male raping an approximately 11-year-old boy by penetrating him anally,” and an image of a toddler boy being forced to perform oral sex on an adult male. There was also an image of “an adult male restraining an approximately 12-year-old boy whose penis and anus were exposed.”
Additional disturbing content included multiple images of adult men licking the anuses of boys as young as 8, media of a 10-year-old boy being forced to perform oral sex on an adult male, and images of an adult male “raping a young girl, approximately 8-years-old,” by vaginal penetration.
After being put in contact with the undercover agent posing as a father of a 9-year-old boy, Zelony-Mindell began distributing child pornography to that agent as well. This included an image of an adult male forcing a young boy to expose his anus and genitals, and a video of “a child under the age of approximately 10 years old being raped by an adult male who is penetrating the child anally.”
While communicating with the second agent, Zelony-Mindell said: “I want to have sex with your son dude. It’s honestly all I think about. You watching us together.”
He told the agent he was planning to visit New York, as he had moved to Arkansas, and asked again: “You really want your kid to take my dick? Cause if we get together I’m absolutely going to fuck him.” Zelony-Mindell also suggested that the child would have to be drugged “a little bit” for his rape to be successful.
On December 2, 2022, Zelony-Mindell contacted the agent via the phone and told him of his plans to visit the area on or around December 16 for the purposes of abusing the 9-year-old boy. The two arranged to meet at a coffee shop in the Tribeca neighborhood of lower Manhattan.
The day before the meeting, Zelony-Mindell wrote the agent and said: “I can’t wait to taste his sexy little 9-year-old penis.”
Law enforcement was primed for the meeting as soon as Zelony-Mindell arrived in New York, and he was immediately arrested at the meet-up point.
While the FBI’s complaint against Zelony-Mindell had referred to him using masculine pronouns, the US Department of Justice seemingly affirmed his non-binary identity and referred to him as “they/them/theirs” in their sentencing recommendation. One part of the recommendation reads “their phone alone contained approximately 2,400 videos and images of child pornography,” referring to Zelony-Mindell.
Another section reads: “the defendant attempted to sexually abuse a 9-year-old child themselves.”
The US attorney recommended an incarceration period of 120 months, but, on November 14, U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer ordered a custodial sentence of 90 months with 5 years of supervised release.
Zelony-Mindell is well known for being an artist and social justice activist, and has contributed to VICE in the past.
On his website, Zelony-Mindell describes himself as a “white non-binary queer” person and states his pronouns are “they/them.”
Zelony-Mindell has a history of painting and curating several “queer” art shows as well as being a former writing contributor to VICE.
In 2016, VICE published a piece by Zelony-Mindell in which he gushed about photographer Mary Ellen Mark and her “iconic” photos of a 13-year-old sexually trafficked child named Erin Charles. The girl “became a 30-year focus of turmoil and intrigue” to Mark, and the child “became integral to her artistic practice,” Zelony-Mindell described.
On his website, Zelony-Mindell lists over a dozen shows he has curated, including at Ohio University, Texas Tech University, and the International Center for Photography-Bard.
In January of 2022, Zelony-Mindell’s book “Witness” was praised in Vogue in an article which appears to have been hastily deleted following the announcement of his charges. The Vogue profile praised Witness as “a resource” on the “intricacies of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists.”
Zelony-Mindell was interviewed for the article, at one point signaling to human rights, and the Black Lives Matter movement and the protests and demonstrations that rocked the United States in 2020.
“After the murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor there was this collective specter hanging over the United States and the human species, really. A huge part of that violent weight was what role did photography and video play on us as individuals and communities. How do we collectively speak up and speak out?” Zelony-Mindell was quoted as saying.
“How do we need to learn to listen and re-educate? How has silence and supremacy laid a pathway for complacency and white solidarity to racism, bigotry, and death?”
Five people, including children, were stabbed near a school in Dublin, Ireland, on Thursday by a suspect whose identity has not yet been released.
Three children and two adults were taken to a nearby hospital with stab wounds. One child was severely injured.
It was later discovered a migrant from Algeria was behind the vicious knife attack on children.
Irish citizens rioted in the streets after this latest horrific attack by an immigrant.
Irish Socialist Councillor Lillian Seenoi-Barr spoke to the BBC since the brutal stabbing attack.
