Remember all the speeches about apartheid? As I recall, Jesse Jackson got involved in South African politics. It was the issue of our time, as they often say.
For the record, apartheid was terrible and a correction was needed. However, it’s hard to see what’s happening in South Africa today. The country is a financial mess and the extremes seem to be doing all the talking.
South Africa’s Marxist-Leninist political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters, celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend.
After the radical group’s demagogic leader emphasized, “We are with President Putin… We are Putin, and Putin is us, and… we are not with the USA,” Julius Malema led nearly 100,000 of his followers in singing the anti-white hate song, “Dubul’ ibhunu,” known as “Shoot to kill, kill the Boer, kill the farmer.”
Video of the bloodthirsty chant at the FNB Stadium, complete with gun sounds, has gone viral, prompting outrage and concern from the world’s richest man, South African Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who wrote, “They are openly pushing for genocide of white people in South Africa.”
It sounds like they are in fact pushing for genocide of white people.
All this reminds me of a conversation that I had with a White South African family recently relocated to Texas. They were simple farmers and descendants of people who had moved there over a century ago. The young father confirmed that people were leaving and heading to Australia, New Zealand, or the U.S. He felt that they’d be in danger back home and wanted his young kids to grow up in a different world.
Once upon a time, Nelson Mandela was the darling of the West. Of course, he died years ago, but one wonders what he would say about the destruction of what was once an imperfect but prosperous land?
Things were supposed to turn out different in South Africa. Where is Jesse Jackson when we really need him? Or maybe President Obama?
The reasons for the verdict caused puzzlement: Because he was “fully integrated”, a judge in Regensburg, Bavaria, let the confessed rapist of a girl (16) go free. The fugitive was given 22 months probation and a condition: he is only allowed to drink a little beer.

(23) had to answer for sexual harassment, coercion and rape of a teenager. Despite confessing, he left the courtroom a free man. The shameful sentence: 22 months on probation, participation in an anti-aggression training. And: In future, the Muslim may only consume so much alcohol that he has a maximum of 0.5 per mille in his blood.
The very fact that a 23-year-old sex offender is enjoying the benefits of the juvenile criminal law pisses people off. But the refugee, who arrived in 2015, was, by his own admission, 19 years old when he started his series of assaults on young women. Legally, he was treated as an adolescent.
It started on a park bench near the main railway station. Mohammad M., who was drunk, harassed a girl and groped her under her clothes. Only after fierce resistance did he let go of his victim. A short time later he sat down with the teenager (16) and violated her.
Weeks later, he violently forced a young woman to have oral sex in a railway subway. He harassed other victims and sexually molested them. Crimes against five women were charged. After a complaint, the police arrested him at the airport on his return from home leave in Kabul.
According to the defence lawyer, the judge described the confessed defendant as a “model example” of “how to get on well in Germany”. After all, he had graduated from secondary school after arriving in Germany and had completed an apprenticeship with a heating engineer. The Afghan also plays in a local football club.
Mohammad M. offered the still traumatised rape victim voluntary compensation of 2,500 euros. The young woman declined with thanks.
Almost one in four German voters have expressed support for the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD), as the party recorded its highest-ever polling in the latest public opinion survey.
Polling conducted by INSA for Germany’s Bild newspaper revealed that 23 percent of respondents planned to vote for the anti-globalist, anti-mass immigration party in next year’s European parliamentary elections.
Support for the party has almost doubled from the 12 percent recorded ahead of the last elections in 2019, with the AfD now the second-most popular party in Germany behind the opposition CDU/CSU.
The party appears to have attracted votes from the center-right CDU/CSU, which has seen its support drop by 2.9 percentage points, while support for the Green party has dropped by 5.5 percentage points to 15 percent.
The poll follows similar recent surveys showing a significant trend in support for the right-wing party. The AfD opposed the coronavirus lockdowns as well as the EU-imposed anti-Russian sanctions following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine in February last year.
An Ipsos survey published last month had the party at 22 percent. The head of political and social research at Ipsos, Robert Grimm, described the AfD’s polling success as a “drumbeat,” noting that German citizens have rarely been “as dissatisfied with the development of the country as they are at the present time.”
The surge in popularity has resulted in electoral success over the past few months. Robert Sesselmann became the first AfD politician to win a district in Germany, with over 52 percent of the vote in June, and Hannes Loth won the party’s first mayoral election in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt last month.
The party has also placed second in a number of recent state elections, electoral gains that have led to Germany’s mainstream parties attempting to ostracize the AfD.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier called the party’s rise in popularity “alarming” and denounced the group as “hate-mongers.”
CDU leader FriedrichMerz suffered an almighty backlash from members of his own party after suggesting his party colleagues may have to work with the AfD at a municipal level if they continue to transform polling success into electoral victories. The leader of the opposition was reminded of a party resolution to never work with the AfD, a move that could end up being to his party’s detriment should the right-wing group continue to siphon off support from his party’s core voters.
It was around 10.30 pm on Tuesday evening when the police in Brussels North had to intervene because of a bloody murder attack in the Chaussée de Haecht in Schaerbeek.
A 30-year-old man of Syrian origin had suffered several knife wounds. Eyewitnesses reported that there were three suspects of Syrian origin who were still on the run at the time of writing this article.

Around 300 illegal migrants in possession of a large weapons stash have been found by Serbian authorities located in a forest belt near the country’s northern border with Hungary.
A sizeable police operation involving 820 officers participated in an operation to locate and apprehend the group, which authorities suspectedincluded a number of people smugglers trafficking illegal migrants into the European Union.
Members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, the Gendarmerie, the Police Intervention Unit, the Police Brigade, the Border Police Administration, the Criminal Police Administration, the Technical Administration, the Anti-Terrorist Group, and the Subotica Police Administration, all took part in the operation, according to Serbian newspaper, The Telegraf.
A total of 13 individuals were detained and a further 27 had misdemeanor charges filed against them.
During the search, police recovered nine automatic rifles, a hunting carbine with scope, and three pistols, in addition to 841 rounds of ammunition.
The remaining migrant group has been transported to reception centers across the country for processing.
“We are determined to oppose irregular migration and not allow smuggling groups to threaten the safety of our citizens,” said Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic.
“Today’s operation by the police is just another in a series that shows the firmness of that determination. The safety of our citizens comes first for us,” he added.
The minister added that while the country will continue to comply with international conventions and respect migrants, the government demands that, in turn, new arrivals respect Serbian laws and customs and do not abuse them.
The vast majority of migrants use Serbia as a transit nation, passing through the Balkan country on their way to the European Union. Around 90,000 migrants traveled through the country last year.
As a result, Hungary has ramped up its border security with Serbia in recent years, constructing a formidable border wall and deploying thousands of border officials to man the border and preserve Hungary’s national security.

With mixed feelings, the inhabitants of the commune of La Baconnière in the department of Mayenne heard the bells of the church of Saint-Corneille-et-Saint-Cyprien ring for the last time on Monday July 31. The demolition of the building was started with the bell tower. Nearly 200 residents gathered to view the church for the last time, reports Ouest-France. The building, which had already been closed to the public since 2014 for safety reasons, was severely damaged by storm “Miguel” in June 2019, causing the roof to fall down.
Extensive work was to be undertaken to restore the building. The costs for the bell tower alone amounted to 1.4 million euros. For the complete repair of the church, more than 6 million euros had to be calculated, according to reports. In view of these astronomical sums, the city administration had no choice but to take the decision to demolish the building.
This decision deeply affected the residents of the community. After the announcement that the church would be demolished, a petition was posted on the internet. The petition entitled “Sauvez le patrimoine” (Save the heritage) collected almost 25,000 signatures. A collective called “Mayenne défend son patrimoine” (Mayenne defends its heritage) had also called for a protest.
BBC and Al Jazeera have peddled propaganda over Nuh violence
Over the past several years, many foreign media organisations have demonstrated blatant Hinduphobia and anti-India slant through content published on their websites. Be it India’s space programme or its complex social dynamics owing to its rich diversity, many foreign media outlets have displayed unqualified condescension and a malicious penchant to run down the country and level false allegations against it.
Such attitude was once again on display during the coverage of violence that swept Haryana’s Muslim-majority region, Nuh, from July 31 after Hindus organised a procession to mark Shravan Somwar, one of the many occasions considered auspicious by Hindus.
Al Jazeera, a state media house owned by the government of Qatar, which is an Islamic monarchy but likes to sermonise non-Muslim countries on secularism, recently published a report trying to paint Muslims as the victims of violence that erupted in Nuh and conspired by their rabid co-religionists.
“Imam killed after Hindu mob attacks mosques in India’s Gurugram,” read the headline of a report published by Al Jazeera, belying the tragedy that befell Hindu devotees of Jalabhishek Yatra in Mewat’s Nuh region.
The article not only sought to whitewash the violence that Islamists unleashed against Hindu devotees, which triggered the ensuing riots but also passed the buck of the attendant unrest to the victims, i.e. Hindus, by directing attention towards the death of an Imam.
The British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC as it is widely known, too attempted to malign India and brand Muslims as victims of the violence kindled by Islamists.

The BBC piece hinted that Muslims have been at the receiving end of the violence underway in Haryana’s Nuh, and even their places of worship and cleric working there are not safe from the religious tensions gripping the country.
Of course, that’s as accurate as BBC’s assessment of tax liability in India. In a bid to portray Muslims as the victim of the violence, the BBC article demonised Hindu devotees stating that a mosque was set on fire during clashes that broke out after a ‘procession by Hindu nationalist groups’.
Of late, BBC and the leftist media have often leaned on describing the victims of religious clashes as members of ‘right-wing organisations’ or ‘nationalist groups’ to discredit their account of incidents and provide a cover for the violent tendencies of Islamists. The onus of the violence and riots in Nuh was deviously laid at the feet of Hindus even when they were the victims of the violence and faced an overwhelming force of Islamists baying for their blood and attacking them with sticks, stones, and bullets.
Contrary to what propaganda media outlets like BBC and Al Jazeera would have us believe, not Muslims but Hindus were the victims of the brutality witnessed in Nuh. The earliest FIR in the case says that a mob of 400-500 Islamists gheraoed and attacked 30-40 yatris bound for the Nalhar Shiva temple in Nuh. This nugget of information would obviously be left out by the likes of BBC and Al Jazeera since it does not fit in their narrative of depicting Muslims as the victim of perceived “religious persecution” underway in India.
Moreover, not just Imam but 5 other people lost their lives in the violence that engulfed the region, all of whom were non-Muslims. That makes a staggering 83.33 per cent of the total dead non-Muslims, puncturing foreign media outlet’s attempt to brand Muslims as disproportionate victims of the clashes.
Among those killed by the Islamist mob include two home-guards, Neeraj and Gurusewak. Gursewak sustained an injury on his liver which led to his death, as per the post-mortem report. The cause of his injury was blunt force impact as the officials were attempting to control the Islamist mob which went on a killing spree following an attack on a peaceful Hindu Shobha Yatra.
Another Homeguard Neeraj lost his life while trying to do his duty. His autopsy report mentions blunt force impact as the cause of death. Several large-scale injuries were also found on his body indicating the severity of the attack launched at him by the jihadis.
Abhishek Rajput, a Hindu devotee who participated in the Jalabhishek Yatra, was another victim of the bloodthirsty mob of Islamists that not only shot at him but also slit his throat and crushed his head with stones, a stark resemblance to the methods Taliban and ISIS terrorists to kill their victims.
Not just Hindu devotees who participated in the procession but local Hindus, too, were caught in the crosshair of the Islamists, who remained indiscriminate in killing and attacking Hindus regardless of whether they took part in the Jalabhishek Yatra or not. A sweetseller Shakti Saini was also killed by the Islamist mob. As per eyewitness account, Saini was abducted from the shop and taken elsewhere and later killed and then the dead body was dumped at the same Badkali square around which his shop was located.
Similarly, Pradeep Kumar, a Hindu devotee and a Bajrang Dal activist, was the sixth victim of the violence that Islamists had planned as an interrogation of the arrested youth has revealed, who confessed that WhatsApp groups were created as early as July 21 to July 23 and responsibilities assigned to group admins to gather stones and collect glass bottles to attack Hindu procession scheduled to take place on July 31.
Pradeep Kumar, as per an eyewitness account, was rescued safely from the Nalhar temple, where several Hindus were hiding to save themselves from the Islamist mob, and brought to the Nuh police lines. The Islamists, however, ruthlessly killed him on Tuesday, August 1, while he was returning from the police station.
Kapil Tyagi, another Bajrang Dal activist who was accompanying Pradeep Kumar when he was attacked and killed, spoke to Opindia. Recalling how the murderous Islamist mob launched a vicious attack on their car while they were returning from Nuh police lines in the early hours of Tuesday, Kapil Tyagi said that it appeared as if these Islamists were waiting in ambush the entire night. “When they saw our car, they launched a murderous attack on us. Pradeep Kumar, who could not defend himself due to being badly injured, died.” Kapil Tyagi also suffered a lot of injuries in this attack and is undergoing treatment.
While foreign media organisations and their intellectual allies in India’s Left intelligentsia work overtime to brand Muslims as victims of the Nuh violence, the irrefutable evidence of a preplanned conspiracy, the CCTV footage, and the eyewitness account of the victims point to the involvement of Islamic zealots who conspired to attack the Hindu devotees and executed their plan in cold blood.
So President Trump is not even allowed to have an opinion about whether the 2020 election was free or fair? And those blocked windows in the vote-counting office in Detroit and those rolled-out suitcases in Atlanta after the election observers were forced from the room, and that truck driver who was told to take his ballot boxes from state to state, just never happened? And that Zuckerbucks, state-sponsored Twitter censorship, and the “conspiracy” to save America never happened either? And all was free and fair, or here comes the prosecutor to set you right is how things are done now?
That’s all one can conclude now that special counsel Jack Smith has charged Trump with four felonies connected with the January 6 capital riot over election fraud and he did it with speed and urgency to ensure it got done just ahead of the 2024 election.
It’s the most partisan maneuver yet from Smith and his leftist pals; the act of a flaming Trump-hater with some serious conflicts of interest of his own, seeking to knock out the most popular candidate in the 2024 race from the choices of America’s voters and not caring whether he burns the republic down. You can see it in his dark, ragged, raging, tormented, fanatic face in the news photos.
And now we are supposed to believe that a D.C. jury, from the same jury pool that let an FBI falsifier of documents off scot-free, is going to be all impartial and serious about justice in this case, instead of voting their election choices? No, no, they wouldn’t dream of doing that. If the case is so strong, why didn’t Smith choose a venue where there could be a Republican on that jury? As it stands now, Trump is to be judged by a wall of Democrats just ahead of election time. Sound fair? This is why you don’t prosecute candidates in the middle of the race, but Smith doesn’t care.
And as for the judge, we have another winner — Obama-appointed U.S. District Court Tanya Chutkan, who’s gotten herself famous for holding January 6 defendants in prison without trial for extended periods in heinous conditions, something that would get a hapless third-world judge on the international sanctions lists, and then sentencing them to harsher jail terms than prosecutors sought. We are supposed to believe she, too, is all about fairness and impartiality to all sides here and has no opinion whatsoever about these charges and only wants what’s best for justice, without a political bone in her body.
And the potential sentence? Based on all the charges suddenly leveled at President Trump over the past few months as elections approached, Trump is looking at 600 years in prison, which they will gladly dish out once the all-Democrat judges and juries are done with him. And for what? The actual crime is running for re-election. But 600 years? Not even Putin does that to his opponents.
Let’s cut the crap here. We all know that this is about destroying President Trump who is leading in the polls so that flailing Joe Biden can “win” a second four years in office after an utterly failed first term, brought on by a severely tainted election. The result of that fraudfest speaks for itself because it is not the pattern of American voters to elect these kinds of failures. Defective candidate, defective presidency, and now the revelations are rolling out about Biden’s foreign money corruption scandal on a multi-million-dollar scale never before seen in American politics.
That, of course, is being dismissed by the cognoscenti and expected to be consequence-free for the Bidens.
But Trump is a different matter. Since they can’t take out Trump through the ballot box, they’ll do it from the courtroom because as they say on the left, ‘by any means necessary.’
Yet it’s a strange maneuver to see it — given that every attack against Trump fuels his political strength, like gasoline on a fire. Voters who were inclined to vote for Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis and hoping to see how he could advance the prosperity that Trump started have now reflexively moved into the Trump camp, vowing to vote for him even if they throw him in prison. That’s because this usurpation of power by the prosecutors and the judges and the partisan, corrupted Department of Justice is screaming for a fix.
Maybe they will win. Maybe they won’t. It’s uncharted waters now, the steering of the great United States republic into banana republic status, astonishing to see in a large and powerful country.
What’s horrible here is the damage this does to the republic as another bottom drops out. What they have done to Trump can now just as easily be done from the other side, just as excused election fraud opens the gates to “two can play that game.” What kind of country is the U.S. going to be with this obvious unfairness now the natural course of government? It’s as if we now well on the road to becoming Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia or one of the wretched Central Asian or sub-Saharan African republics who claim the title of ‘democracy.’ Whatever we have here, the social capital and culture of civility, the actual trust that has characterized this country is going, going, gone now, crashing down in a miasma of Mobuto-style corruption.
What a terrible fate for the country we once called exceptional.
