France passes law granting police the power to spy on people through mobile phones

On 5th July 2023, French lawmakers approved a new justice reform bill that permits police to remotely access and monitor the cameras, microphones, and GPS of individuals’ mobile phones and other devices. This provision has sparked criticism from various quarters, including the left-wing opposition and the so-called human rights defenders in France, who argue that it infringes upon citizens’ privacy rights.

Police will have the authority to remotely activate mobile phones of targeted suspects

The bill, which forms part of a broader justice overhaul, also encompasses laptops, cars, and other connected objects, expanding the scope of police surveillance. It empowers law enforcement agencies to track the geolocation of suspects involved in crimes carrying a minimum sentence of five years imprisonment.

In addition, the legislation allows for remote activation of devices to record audio and video of individuals suspected of terrorism, organized crime, and delinquency offenses.

Digital rights group La Quadrature du Net expressed serious concerns regarding the potential infringement of fundamental liberties. They pointed out that the right to security, the right to private life, private correspondence, and the right to freedom of movement could be compromised, suggesting that this proposal signifies a slide towards heavy-handed security measures.

Doctors, journalists, lawyers, and MPs are exempt

During the parliamentary debate, lawmakers aligned with President Emmanuel Macron introduced an amendment to the bill. The amendment restricts the use of remote surveillance to cases where it is justified by the nature and severity of the crime, ensuring a strictly proportional duration. Furthermore, the provision requires judicial approval for its implementation, with a maximum surveillance period of six months. Notably, professionals in sensitive fields such as doctors, journalists, lawyers, judges, and members of parliament are exempt from being targeted under this legislation.

Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti defended the bill, assuring citizens that it would only impact a limited number of cases each year. He argued against comparisons to George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984,” emphasizing that the law is far from totalitarian surveillance. Dupond-Moretti maintained that the measure would save lives and contribute to public safety.

This controversial provision, alongside several other measures, was approved by the National Assembly as part of the justice reform bill, which is currently progressing through Parliament. The bill has drawn attention amidst ongoing social unrest sparked by the recent police killing of Nahel Merzouk, a teenager of African origin. Riots under the guise of mass protests erupted across France, reigniting concerns about people’s safety.

‘Law and order is not EU’s domain’: Frances dismisses EU statement over current riots

In response to the criticism, the French government dismissed comments from European Union (EU) Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders regarding the recent protests in the country. France rejected the notion that the EU should intervene in matters concerning law enforcement. Laurence Boone, France’s minister in charge of European affairs, emphasized that upholding public order is not within the EU’s domain. She labeled the remarks as interference in France’s domestic affairs and highlighted that similar events are not exclusive to France, necessitating efforts to restore calm rather than commentary from external sources.

As France grapples with rising violence and ongoing riots primarily involving Islamic refugees, the passage of this law reflects the government’s determination to combat the security challenges faced by the country. However, concerns about potential infringements on individual privacy rights and the balance between security and civil liberties persist, leading to a heated debate within French society.

Turkish Muslim Invaders Who Looted Roman Statue Want It Back from Denmark – Give us back the thing you stole from us after we stole it

The question of whom archeological finds belong to can be a fraught one. It may be reasonable for the Greeks to demand Greek artifacts from other European countries. It’s not however remotely reasonable for the Turks to expect Roman artifacts that they have no connection with beyond invading, conquering, and then looting the territory where they could be found. That’s the equivalent of a car thief demanding the impound lot return the car he stole. And yet, the Islamic colonizers in Turkey are demanding the head of a Roman statue.

A bronze head of Emperor Septimius Severus on display at a Copenhagen museum has become a bone of contention between the Danish museum and Turkey, which claims it was looted during an archaeological dig in the 1960s and wants it back.

After decades in the United States as part of a private collection that loaned it to New York’s Metropolitan Museum, a statue of the Roman emperor, who lived from AD 145 to 211, was recently sent back to Turkey — minus the head.

Give us back the thing you stole from us after we stole it from its original owners.

The statue isn’t Turkish. It’s a European artifact located on territory seized by Turkey. The Danes have more of a right to it than the Turks do since at least there’s some cultural overlap. Still I can understand why they sent back the statue minus the head. Beheading things is after all rather popular in Islam.

For Turkish authorities on the other hand, the origin of the head is not in dispute, and in particular, they quote the work of the late Turkish archaeologist, Jale Inan, who took measurements of the head and body.

“The bronze comes from Bubon in Turkey. And like all objects from Turkey, we are asking for it to be returned,” said Mehmet Bulut, the Turkish charge d’affaires in Denmark.

The correct response would be that Turkey can get the head when they return the Hagia Sophia.

Also, what exactly is a country ruled by an Islamist tyrant supposed to do with a nude male statue anyway? How long is it going to survive in an Islamist hellhole whose leaders have links to the Islamist vandals who wrecked priceless artifacts in Syria? Perhaps the Danes can trade a few boxes of Korans for some art.

Or maybe someone can make a Mohammed head out of mashed potatoes and grease. Surely they’d negotiate for that.

“Over 100 Sharia courts in India, will establish more in Muslim-populated areas”

AIMPLB today met chiefs of Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT) on Thursday

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has said that it is working to establish Sharia courts in Muslim-majority areas across India. This comes days after the AIMPLB registered its objection against the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) even as the Centre is merely in the process of collecting suggestions.

While speaking to a media channel about their plan of action on UCC, AIMPLB spokesperson Qasim Rasool Ilyas said, “We have more than 100 Sharia courts in India under AIMPLB. And there are several others running under Imarat-e-Sharia across states including Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, under Imara-e-Sharia Assam and Karnataka. Jamiat Ulema is also running Sharia courts.”

When asked if they are willing to suspend the Sharia courts, he said that these courts are a means to resolve issues in a “timely, easy, and affordable manner”. “We are planning to establish Sharia courts wherever there is a Muslim population,” said the AIMPLB spokesperson.

Interestingly, he said by establishing Sharia courts, the AIMPLB is attempting to reduce the burden on the Constitutionally-run Indian courts.

This is not the first time that the AIMPLB has issued such a statement. In 2018 too, the Muslim body had said it plans to open Darul-Qaza (Sharia courts) in all districts of the country.

Earlier on Thursday, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, and Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray to discuss their concerns about UCC.

Ilyas reportedly claimed that the Congress party assured that it will take cognizance of AIMPLB’s concerns and raise them in the Parliament. He claimed that Sharad Pawar said they are not in favour of UCC and only agree with the 21st Law Commission’s conclusion.

He added that Uddhav Thackeray was in favour of UCC but he said that UCC should be formed only with everyone’s consent and unless everyone’s consent is there, this should not happen.

The AIMPLB plans to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu to express their reservations against Uniform Civil Code.

Meanwhile, in a strange demand, the Muslim body has also said that all religious minorities be kept out of the purview of UCC. This was a day after it submitted its objections to the Law Commission.

On a more radical note, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has reportedly submitted its draft to the law commission saying that the Muslim personal law cannot be changed till the end of time.

Ever since Prime Minister Modi underlined the importance of the Uniform Civil Code on 27th June, the Opposition and Muslim bodies have been making a hue and cry about the same even as the draft is yet to be formulated.

Pope holds a private audience with Alex Soros and Bill Clinton

By Monica Showalter

Pope Francis seems determined to top himself these days.

As if greeting the “Piss Christ” artist wasn’t sufficiently disgusting, now he’s held a private audience with corrupt, pervy Bill Clinton and global abortion moneybags Alex Soros.

According to the National Catholic Register:

Pope Francis met with former U.S. President Bill Clinton in a private audience at the Casa Santa Marta papal residence on Wednesday. Clinton’s delegation included several prominent Americans, including Alex Soros of the Open Society Foundations.

Clinton, who now focuses his efforts on philanthropy and public affairs, had visited Albania July 3-4 and received from the Albanian prime minister a public-gratitude medal for his support of Albania and for NATO’s intervention in the Kosovo War, the news site Euractiv reports.

Soros, son of the billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros, accompanied Clinton in both Albania and at the Vatican. Soros is the new chairman of the Open Society Foundations, a philanthropic giant that his father founded.

Here’s the video the Vatican released, showing Clinton and the pope, both in an animated mood, exchanging gifts.

Now, I’m not one to say that the pope shouldn’t meet with sinners, given that we all fall into that category.

But these aren’t ordinary sinners, coming for absolution, so far as we know. Clinton is famous for using the Catholic Church for his own selfish political power advantage, as has been House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who also got herself a papal meeting at a politically convenient time.

It’s the same with Clinton. Don’t forget that crummy occasion back in 1998 when Clinton hopped up and took Communion, which only actual Catholics are supposed to take, so as to use the image of that in a political campaign. Church rules? Bill Clinton didn’t care about Church rules, the Church was his political plaything. He went all out to obtain Catholic votes as Mr. Boy Scout at the Communion rail, and helped himself.

Oh, but the pope himself has also stated that he wants Church shepherds to smell like the sheep, which is to say, to be accessible and recognizable to people. He always has favored simplicity and humility.

But that’s sad stuff, too. These creeps aren’t “the sheep.” Actually, they’re the wolves — Clinton is a corrupt pervert whose friendship with Jeffrey Epstein led to many visits to his pedophile island, while his Clinton Foundation was a pay-to-play operation. Maybe the pope should have sat that guy out.

Soros is even more appalling, a bona fide hedge fund speculator and atheist reviled throughout the world for his electoral meddling and color revolutions, as well as a firm promoter and bankroller of abortion worldwide, particularly in areas where abortion is frowned upon. Can’t get more anti-Catholic than that agent of chaos.

The pope is sending a lousy message to the faithful and everyone else in publicly greeting this pair and their entourage, which included Clinton’s hedge fund speculator son-in-law Mark Mezvinsky, at whose wedding Epstein’s partner-in-crime, Ghislaine Maxwell, was one of the few invited guests. When there’s someone the pope wants to meet but also knows is a pariah, he typically doesn’t release public photos the way he did with these two.

That’s why this meeting was so puzzling.

The pope probably has to meet a lot of lousy people as part of his job, and we have to give him a “discount” for not knowing the skeevy extent of Democrat politics, but why is it he only meets these kinds of lousy people on the far left? Is this the best he can do? Does he ever meet with people on the right? Or are they non-people? He has met with Elon Musk who’s a political independent and sort of on the right, whose importance as a self-made billionaire and the richest man on earth probably makes him a person of interest. But does he ever meet with the guys who are really from the other side, or is it just leftists? How about a meeting with the free market economists from the Heartland Institute who were excluded from a Vatican conference of anti-Catholic leftists which featured lunatic leftist Naomi Klein? To reiterate — that group not only didn’t get a place at the table, they got the door slammed shut in their faces.

It makes one think a lot of skeevy things are going on at the Vatican given that some voices are given private audiences, and others are shut out.

Roll around with the wolves, come out from it with the smell of the wolves.

VIDEO: German train driver beaten by Afghan migrant teen

A 50-year-old German train driver was attacked by a 15-year-old Afghan national at the Lauter train station in the state of Saxony in eastern Germany on Wednesday evening.

According to a local police report, the train driver attempted to intervene in settling a dispute between two passengers when he was set upon and severely beaten by two individuals.

Footage circulating on social media from another passenger on board the train showed the train driver being punched and kicked in the head as he lay on the ground next to the station platform before the two attackers fled the scene.

The victim was taken by paramedics to a local hospital for treatment, and the remaining passengers on board the train were transferred to a replacement rail service.

Federal police have not received an update as to the train driver’s condition.

Eyewitnesses provided authorities with a description of the attackers; one suspect was identified as a 15-year-old Afghan national. The second attacker has not been identified.

Both individuals remain at large after evading an extensive police search in the local area.

A police investigation into dangerous bodily harm has been opened and is ongoing.

Minors reach the age of criminal responsibility at the age of 14 in Germany, meaning the attacker could be prosecuted for committing a criminal offense if caught.
