Dutch farmer ‘families are crying at the kitchen table every day’ and some have committed suicide, warns Dutch MEP Robert Roos about government farm expropriation plans

MEP Robert Roos spoke to Remix News about immigration, media influence, and why he chose a life of politics over more comfortable options. (Source: Mandiner)

Currently, the Dutch government is looking to offer buyouts for 3,000 farms in the Netherlands, and if they do not accept, their land will be confiscated  The government is offering them 120 percent of the value of their land. A) Do you think that’s a fair offer, and B) Do you think they’re going to fight it?

It’s not fair at all because they have smashed these farmers for years now, and the people are so desperate that many families are crying at the kitchen table every day, and even a couple of farmers committed suicide already. Really, it’s that bad. Our government and also the banks supported a plan to create bigger farms, so the farmers bought the land of their neighbors, and they created huge farms because that was the policy promoted by the government and also by the banks. They wanted the farms to scale up their businesses. And now, suddenly the policy is to make smaller farms. This is also the EU policy. Then, you add nitrogen regulations. These farmers now have these huge farms, which means big debts, huge debts, because they had to invest. And now, the government comes up with the idea that they have this nitrogen problem, and farms need to close or be reduced in size.

The banks turn around and say, then your business — because a farm is really a business — is only worth 50 percent compared to yesterday. So these people have huge debts. They are captured in a system that they never asked for. They followed the rules, and now they are pushed in a direction that is really desperate for them.

They don’t know what to do. It’s so difficult. These farms have been running from generation to generation. So, there is a lot of history tied up in these farms, and if you are desperate and don’t know what to do anymore, and you’re facing uncertainty year after year, then the government turns around and says, “OK, we have a way out for you, we have money to give you.” I think a lot of farms will do that, which is a disaster because they are the second-largest producer of food in the world after the United States. The Netherlands is just a tiny country, but we are producing so much food for the rest of the world. That’s a problem because we now have 8 billion people.

So it’s not logical, it’s a disaster, it’s not fair, and I hope there are a lot of farmers who feel supported by the last elections because our Farmar-Citizen movement had a landslide win during the elections of March. And I hope the farmers feel supported and they don’t give up.

Your party has a lot in common with the Farmer-Citizen Party (BBB) party. Yet, at the same time, they likely ate into your party’s voter share.

They did.

So what are your thoughts on keeping the interests of your party in mind while also being a party leader that just expressed happiness at another party’s election victory?

Well, it’s not about me. It’s not about me doing the job, it’s not about my political party, it’s just a tool to achieve things. So, I’m very happy with this BBB movement. This is the BBB, the Dutch name for the Farmer-Citizen movement. If they are doing the job, it’s fine with me. If they disrupt the system, that’s good because we have what I call a “party cartel.” It doesn’t matter if you vote for the liberals or for the Greens. They have the same agenda, only small differences on little topics, but our liberals should be classic liberals, and they should support small businesses. But now they vote for the green agenda, the socialist agenda.

Now, this BBB party is disrupting the system, which is very, very good, and I’m so happy with that. So it’s even better because if they want to do the job, if they can do the job, I’m going to do something fun. Because I’ve never done this for me, never.

Could you ever imagine a merger with the BBB or another party?

In the Netherlands, we have 150 seats in the national parliament. And we have 20 political parties, which is crazy. It’s very difficult to create a coalition, and I think this is because we’ve had so many split-offs right now. We don’t have (an election voting) threshold, so for everyone who wants to start a political party, you get some signatures, and then you’re on your way. But I think there should be a point where we have to merge some political parties.

I’m very in favor of that, but it’s also difficult because political leaders have to step over their own ego because they are not the party leader anymore. And that’s the problem with politics. Most politicians make a career out of it, but I think there will be some point when we have to merge.

There are some rumors or claims on social media, and perhaps you can add some clarity. The rumor is that some of these farmers’ land was going to be confiscated for the purpose of building condominiums by rich developers and so on. Is there any truth to this rumor?

We’ve already seen it, and it’s not a rumor, it’s just a fact. They bought the land of a farmer, and they built temporary houses for immigrants on it. This is one year ago, but it’s not even a rumor. Unfortunately, if you had said that two years ago, they would respond to you that you are a conspiracy theorist, but now it’s just fact. And I think that of course they want to have the land and they want to build more houses. That’s why they used also this nitrogen issue, which is really crazy.

Our rules are 4,000 times stronger than in Germany, for example. So we are a European Union nation, but if it comes to making rules, they do whatever they want. But of course, they need the land. Why else would they take it away?

So they’re not going to just convert it to forests, for instance?

No, they’re going to use it as housing and development. As you might have heard, the Netherlands has grown since the 1990s. We had 15 million people then. And now, in 2023, we have 18 million people. So we have grown within 30 years with, well, 20% or something like that.

The Netherlands is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, no?

We are the densest country, yes, in Europe. And that’s why also the European Union is not working. We have the habitat guideline, and it designated 2,000 areas as protected, but that also meant no nitrogen from the farmers should make its way into these areas. However, nitrogen actually helps trees grow, so nitrogen also serves a purpose.

But now we have the EU Nature Restoration Law coming up. And we will vote on that before the summer, in the (EU) parliament; if this law is adopted, our complete country (the Netherlands) will be locked to new development.

We will not be able to build houses anymore, we cannot even build wind turbinesanymore, which is, from my perspective, a good thing. But overall, our country will be closed.

Because we are the most densely populated country in Europe. So that’s why you see that all this one-size-fits-all perspective is wrong, because we are a completely different country than, for example, Finland. Finland is five times bigger than the Netherlands and has four times less population.

Is this not a common trend throughout Europe that green parties or other parties promoting the environment are looking to reduce emissions at the same time they are inviting in tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of immigrants who want to adopt a First World lifestyle? They will demand to eat meat, demand to drive nice cars, even Erdoğan encouraged them to do this years ago. How can this contradiction be explained in a country like the Netherlands, where in theory, it seems like you’re running out of space to some degree?

Yes, we are.

Of course, it’s hypocritical, and they are pretending. But it’s also just the case that facts don’t matter.

It’s not about arguments, it’s about ideology. And regarding the people coming in, they are not all refugees, but they are also people who are looking for a better life. And I don’t blame these people. If I were one of them, I would probably do the same. I blame my government for allowing it to happen.

But of course, if there is this huge influx of people, that will have a huge footprint on what the left thinks is a problem, climate change, but also in nature, because these (immigrants) will have the same way of life as the other people in the Netherlands. And they will do what you mentioned: They will buy a car, a house, and do the things that we think are normal.

But if you start talking about this point, then you are a racist. They don’t want a real debate about it, and they don’t want to hear arguments. If you say that we need more energy because we will have more people — that renewables may not pan out the way they assume they will — then you’re a climate denier. If you say we have to stop this illegal immigration, you’re again, a racist. And so every, let’s say grown-up debate can then end immediately, and they want that because they have run out of arguments and that’s why they resort to calling you names.

But as long as our media is not giving the real story of what’s going on, most of the people in the Netherlands or anywhere else will have no idea because it’s a very strong message from these Greens that is supported by the media.

In terms of the media, Remix News ran a video not so long ago where you talk about COVID vaccines. The video went viral on Twitter and some other platforms. And Facebook hit us with a fact check on this, and of course, it reduced the reach of the video. Is there any real answer to censorship on this issue and others, at least from a Dutch perspective?

The fact check is ridiculous. Let’s start with that. The fact check claimed, “Pfizer never claimed that they tested the vaccine on preventing the spread of the virus before the vaccine entered the market.”

But that was not my argument. My argument was that the governments misled us and said you have to do it for all of society to reduce the spread. You have to do it to protect your grandmother and protect your grandfather, which was based on nothing. It was not based on facts.

So you’re saying the fact check was highly misleading?

Yes, because they fact-checked something I didn’t even say. And I was very clear in that, in my message.

But nevertheless, Mr. (Albert) Bourla, the CEO of Pfizer, also refused to say to the government, “Sorry we didn’t test this vaccine on stopping the transmission.” So,the government said you have to take the vaccine forsociety, otherwise you would spread the virus.

And the other thing is these so-called fact-checkers, some of them are journalists, why didn’t they ask the question about whether the vaccine really stops the spread of the virus? Why did I have to ask the question after a couple of years, why didn’t they do that? And now they blame me, these so-called fact-checkers, but not just them, also the news outlets and the mainstream media. They are there to check the government and ask critical questions. And we don’t only see this uncritical reporting on vaccines, but it’s all kinds of things. It’s also about energy. It’s also about illegal immigration.

They are there to support the government. It’s a system. For example, our national television, they receive 1 billion euros per year. And for that kind of money, they support our government.

They always talk about pluralism, but even in my country, there is no pluralism. It’s just not there. It’s just the long arm of our government. They keep the people stupid and the government makes them work. That’s how the system works. It sounds a little bit cynical, but in a way, it is just the way it is.

You were a business entrepreneur. Why would you subject yourself to the name-calling and the pressure of politics, give up your private life to enter a political field where you’re being called a Nazi, and racist, and various other names?

Because I have two children. I have two sons. They are grown up now. When I enter politics, I think my son was, he was 16 at the time. I’ve now been in politics for six years. And I want to pass on a country that is safe, that has prosperity and where democracy functions well.

So, the Netherlands is such a beautiful country, and we are declining. It’s not very democratic anymore. So, someone has to fight this fight, and I decided to do it. And I don’t give — well, let me say I don’t give a damn what people think about me. What do they say about me? I don’t care. I just don’t care. I even dare to say about myself: I’m a good person. I met my wife when we were 16, we are still together. I have paid so much in taxes. I raised two children. They are doing very well. I had maybe four penalties in my life for speeding three kilometers above the speed limit and one parking ticket. I believe I am a good person, I dare to say that about myself.

And at the same time, the fight for freedom is not for cowards. So, someone has to do it. And I don’t regret it. And I also appreciate that a lot of people are very happy with what I am doing.

And if you have an opinion, people have an opinion about me, and they have the right in this really big country. Everyone can have his own opinion, and they can also publish it.

But we are a free country because people like me in our history are fighting for the right to free speech.

Bangladesh: Attacks and Arson on Hindu Minorities

Persecution of Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. This time and arson in Hindu homes in Kaliganj of Lalmonirhat district over children’s fight.

On the night of the 13th of May, Saturday, Muslim neighbours attacked homes belonging to the Hindu minority community at Ghaneshyam Bairati under the Tushbhanadar Union. Several houses were broken and set on fire.

According to locals, on that day, during the afternoon, children of both communities were playing. Suddenly a fight broke out between them. They stopped playing and went to their homes.

Later Muslim neighbours attacked the homes of Hindu minorities. Local Hindus said that a group of 60 people led by Asedul Islam, Fazle Master and Saiful Miyan broke and damaged several houses in that locality. Also, they set on fire several homes, haystacks and other belongings. Also, some women and children got wounded in the attack.

Local Hindus said they were threatened not to file any police complaint; otherwise, they must face dire consequences. Now they are living in fear.

An archeological find aligns with one of the seminal Old Testament stories

One of the important things to remember about Biblical archeology is that our modern understanding keeps changing as the earth keeps disgorging materials hidden for millennia, and new technologies allow us better to understand those discoveries. That’s the case with a Bronze Age tablet that reveals something consistent with one of the Bible’s oldest and most consequential narratives.

My father loved Werner Keller’s 1955 book, The Bible as History, about Biblical archeology. Although raised in an Orthodox orphanage (in Weimar and Nazi Berlin!), my father was not religious. He was, however, a historian, so he agreed completely with the last sentence in Keller’s introduction:

In view of the overwhelming mass of authentic and well-attested evidence now available, as I thought of the skeptical criticism which from the eighteenth century onwards would fain have demolished the Bible altogether, there kept hammering in my head this one sentence: “The Bible is right after all.”

Today leftists engage in an all-out war against Jews and Christians who hew to a Biblical narrative demanding morality, justice, and grace. Leftism’s belief system is premised on revering the amoral state, with its situational favoritism and police power.

Unfortunately for the leftists, archeology has just scored another one for the Bible’s historic accuracy.

Deuteronomy repeats the instructions that Moses, who was barred from entering the Promised Land, gave to Joshua, his successor. Chapter 11 explicitly states that the instructions are important because following them will bring God’s blessings to the Israelites while failing to do so will lead to God’s curses.

To hammer home the significance of this binary choice, Moses instructed Joshua to write on separate tablets the promise of a blessing and the threat of a curse. Then Joshua was to place the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal, the gateways from the Sinai to Israel:

26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known. 29 When the Lord your God has brought you into the land you are entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the blessings, and on Mount Ebal the curses. (Deuteronomy Ch. 11.)

Joshua followed the instructions to the letter:

30 Then Joshua built on Mount Ebal an altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, 31 as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses—an altar of uncut stones, on which no iron tool had been used. On it they offered to the Lord burnt offerings and sacrificed fellowship offerings. 32 There, in the presence of the Israelites, Joshua wrote on stones a copy of the law of Moses.

This would have taken place during the Bronze Age. (The precise time is subject to debate, Timothy Mahoney argues that the scholarly guesstimate for Exodus and the Israelite’s time in the desert and entry into Canaan misses the mark by 400 years. That 400-year period can make the difference between archeology supporting the Biblical account and claims that it’s unrelated to the historic record.)

Not the Bee now clued me into something awesome: A 1982 dig on Mount Ebal unearthed ancient Bronze and Iron Age altars. Adam Zertal, the lead archeologist, saved everything from that dig but died before he could analyze it all. However, starting in 2019, archeologists revisited the items and discovered a folded lead tablet. (Think of it like a birthday card taken from an envelope, only made of lead.)

The tablet was too fragile to open but, thanks to modern X-ray tomography, scientists could reconstruct the writing inside the tablet. And this is what it said: “You are cursed by the God YHW.”

To recapitulate: Moses told Joshua that God—whose unpronounceable real and ineffably powerful name is written as YHWH, with El, Elohim, or Adonai as respectful generic names—that He wanted reminders of his blessings on Mount Gerizim and of His curses on Mount Ebal. Accordingly, Joshua placed that reminder on Mount Ebal.

And now, archeologists have a tablet dating back to when those events would have occurred with that same reminder. And yes, the Bible says the curse was written on stone, while the tablet is lead, but one would expect some differences in detail during the hundreds of years before the oral narrative was written down.

All I could think when I read about that tablet was, “The Bible is right after all.” You don’t have to believe in God to believe in the Bible, which repeatedly proves to be an accurate historic account of events in ancient Israel.

Anti-immigration AfD party now 2nd most popular party in Germany

Chairman of the parliamentary group Alice Weidel pictured at a meeting in Berlin (Source: Shutterstock).

For the first time, the conservative Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has not only overtaken the Green party but also the Social Democrats (SPD), and become the second most popular party in Germany, according to a new YouGov poll.

The poll shows, AfD would garner 17 percent of the vote, which puts it in front of the SPD and Greens by one point, with both parties at 16 percent. The Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU) still dominate at 31 percent.

A number of other polls have already placed the AfD in front of the Greens, but this is the first time it has topped the SPD, which fell four points from April.

As Remix News reported this month, the Insa polling agency indicated that the potential voting pool for AfD is the largest in the country and could give it up to 26.5 percent in an election, with most of these potential voters coming from the FDP party.

The poll from YouGov, however, paints a bleak picture for the FDP, which belongs to a three-party coalition governing Germany, which is also made up of the Greens and SPD. Currently, the FDP stands at 5 percent. If the party were to fall below 5 percent, it would render it unable to enter Germany’s parliament, the Bundestag.

The AfD draws much of its support from its position against mass migration, sanctions on Russia, and green policies.

Germany saw nearly 1.5 million migrants arrive in 2022. So far, this number shows no signs of slowing in 2023, with the government set to spend €36 billion this year alone. In the first three months of 2023, over 160,000 migrants arrived in the country.

Italy: Centre-right confirms strength in local polls

The results of an important round of local elections on Sunday and Monday confirm the strength of the centre-right as a governing coalition, Premier Giorgia Meloni said on Tuesday.
“My best wishes go to all mayors elected in the first round of local elections,” Meloni said.

“The center-right confirms its strength as a governing coalition, the value of stability and clarity before Italians,” she added.
Centre-right coalitions won four of the 13 provincial capitals up for grabs in the local elections on Sunday and Monday, Imperia, Sondrio, Treviso and Latina, while two, Teramo and Brescia, went to the centre left.
The other seven, Ancona, Brindisi, Terni, Vicenza, Massa, Pisa and Siena, will have runoff votes in two weeks’ time after none of the candidates managed to win over 50% of the ballots cast in the first round.
Separate local elections are scheduled in Valle d’Aosta and Trentino Alto Adige on May 21 and in Sicily (128 municipalities) and Sardinia (39 municipalities) on May 28-29.

France: An illegal Tunisian migrant, listed in the S-card for glorifying terrorism, is arrested in Briançon

The man, who resided illegally in France, was taken to the district prison in Marseille. He could be deported from French territory in the next few days.

A man with Tunisian nationality, listed in the S-card index for glorifying terrorism, was arrested on Friday in Briançon in the Hautes-Alpes, BFM DICI has learned. The man had been under surveillance by French domestic intelligence for several weeks.

The man was arrested when thefts were reported at the Leclerc shopping centre in Briançon last weekend. A patrol of the police station was called to the scene and carried out traffic controls.

During one of these checks, four people were arrested in a vehicle. One of the persons was immediately released, while the other three, who resided illegally in France, were detained.

France: State-recognised private Muslim school spreads Salafist propaganda

The first private Muslim school with a state mandate can’t get out of the headlines. At the beginning of May, the people in charge of the neighbouring mosque in Villeneuve-d’Ascq were taken into police custody, among other things because of a fraudulent loan that the Islamic centre had granted to the Averroès high school. […] […] Today, the school has a total of more than 800 pupils. […

And even if the educational project soberly refers to “universal Muslim values”, Averroès’ commitment to republican values is unquestionable – but unfortunately only on paper. The school repeatedly emphasises its attachment to “republican values”, “education for citizenship” and “civic spirit”, which are mentioned again and again in its texts. In November 2020, the school had extensively reported on a tribute paid by the students to Samuel Paty…

However, the regional audit chamber underlines the discrepancy between this striking rhetoric and the reality of religious education at the Collège and Lycée Averroès. This concerns in particular the curriculum and the reading offered as part of a voluntary course on Muslim ethics.

[…] One of the books covered in the second grade has called out prosecutors in particular[…] The book contains a number of political and social rules that the believer must abide by, such as the prohibition of mixed teams in the workplace or the prohibition for a sick woman to be examined by a man. Finally, the book, which calls for referring to “the law of Allah and nothing else” in all disputes, condemns apostasy, which is presented as a crime worthy of death: Whoever ceases to be a Muslim “must be executed according to the legal punishment provided for apostasy”[…].

Almost every year, the Lycée Averroès is nearing the 100% pass rate at the baccalaureate […] […] Averroès has to rely, unreasonably, on the generosity of its private donors, who either donate directly or grant interest-free loans, sometimes followed by a debt waiver. In total, these donations amount to around 6 million euros over the ten years of the financial year, a large part of which comes from abroad, via funding from Qatar (which the journalist for Le Figaro Georges Malbrunot in particular has highlighted in his book Qatar Papers 2019) or even via money collected from mosques in Germany and the Netherlands. The institution also depends on public subsidies, which have amounted to more than 6.5 million euros since 2010. Public funds and private donations each account for more than a quarter of Averroès’ income, whose turnover is far from sufficient to ensure the institution’s self-financing. This business model “therefore appears structurally unbalanced and unsustainable in the long term” for the prosecutors. […]

The audit of Averroès’ accounts also revealed numerous errors or irregularities which, taken together, gave the impression of sometimes careless management of the association’s funds. […]

Medical Mavens Discover Men and Women are Different

By Brian C. Joondeph

Medical journals are ranked by prestige, like universities and restaurants, based on criteria that might be more in the eye of the beholder than based on objective criteria. In the medical world, The Lancet and the New England Journal of Medicine are ranked number one and two, respectively, despite both having had to retract shoddy published COVID papers over “data integrity questions.”

JAMA, or the Journal of the American Medical Association, is number five on the “best medicine journals” list. It would be reasonable to expect such journals to be publishing cutting-edge medical research papers rather than nonsense better suited for supermarket tabloids.

JAMA, a few weeks ago, published a research letter stating the obvious about males and females. The title of the letter sounded innocuous: “Prostate cancer in transgender women in the Veterans Affairs Health System, 2000-2022.”

YouTube screen grab

It’s a surprise that transgender veterans were much of a thing 23 years ago. Then again, there was Corporal Max Klinger, the cross-dressing medic in the movie and TV series M*A*S*H.

The first sentence of the letter—“Transgender women retain their prostate even after gender-affirmation surgery and thus remain at risk of prostate cancer”—shows the study authors to be masters of the obvious. What did they expect? That men who declare themselves to be women, take estrogen, possibly receive breast implants, and undergo surgical castration are suddenly no longer biological males? As another military veteran character, Gomer Pyle, would say, “Shazam!”

The rationale for the study is that there are only 10 case reports of prostate cancer in transgender women. So what? These are biological males with prostates and are lumped into males with prostate cancer, the most common non-skin cancer in America, affecting 1 in 8 men.

Are there papers on the incidence of sex-specific cancers in each of the 70-plus genders? No, there are not. They focus, instead, on male and female only, not the medically irrelevant social construct genders.

What are the basics here? These are concepts taught in middle school biology and, one hopes, within the grasp of one of the top medical journals.

We are all born either male, with an X and Y chromosome, or female, with two X chromosomes. Everything beyond that is window dressing, ignoring the reality of what is, not what one wants it to be.

Note the word “reality,” which the Cambridge Dictionary defines as, “The state of things as they are, rather than as they are imagined to be.” This sums up the transgender movement. Human beings imagine themselves to be all sorts of things—smart, witty, attractive, successful, and often the opposite attributes—when reality may be far different.

Carried to the extreme, this type of delusional thinking becomes pathologic. Do we indulge anorexic individuals by agreeing with them that they are too overweight and letting them continue to starve to death? Or do we get them the necessary help to regain a sense of reality? If it’s just a “lifestyle choice,” why are there numerous eating disorder centers and programs?

Disconnection from reality is the basis of psychosis. The definition of “psychosis,” according to the National Institute of Mental Health, says the term “refers to a collection of symptoms that affect the mind, where there has been some loss of contact with reality.”

Reality is what is, not what we imagine it to be, although that basic premise seems to be changing. Examples of imaginary reality on a national stage include transitory inflation, a secure border, and election integrity.

In medicine, reality is straightforward, such as dead or alive. But when it comes to male versus female, the medical establishment, just like a recent US Supreme Court nominee, is suddenly unable to define “woman.”

Just to clear up any misconceptions over terminology, this is no longer the era of men and women, guys and dolls, fellas and gals, or boys and girls. According to Wikipedia, “A trans woman or a transgender woman is a woman who was assigned male at birth.” In other words, a trans woman is, in reality, a male human being.

Imagine the confusion when a transgender woman presents to the emergency room with abdominal pain and cramping. If the patient is a woman, a pregnancy test is mandatory. Does a transgender woman require a pregnancy test? Can men now become pregnant? Confused yet?

A Planned Parenthood doctor clears up the confusion. “This is medicine. Men can get pregnant; Planned Parenthood doctor tells Congress.” Can I sue my medical school for teaching me misinformation? During my OB rotation as an intern, I do not recall any men on the Cook County Hospital labor line. The only people I ever saw pregnant were women, and sometimes teenage girls.

So, what the JAMA letter is stating is that men, who, unlike women, have a prostate gland that can become cancerous, are still at risk for prostate cancer even if they grow their hair, have breast implants, or take estrogen.

This would be like a scientific paper reporting on a study demonstrating that boys dressed up as Superman cannot fly, or girls dressed as witches or fairy princesses cannot cast spells on people.

A Cedars-Sinai physician states the obvious, demolishing the need for such a study, “Transgender women, no matter what gender-affirming surgeries they may or may not have had, have prostates and are at risk of prostate cancer.” We needed a research letter in a major medical journal to tell us that? America’s collective disconnection with reality is a form of mass psychosis.

Reality is that transgender men like swimmer Lia Thomas, Caitlyn Jenner, or Budweiser mascot Dylan Mulvaney are at risk for prostate cancer, regardless of their names or gender identities. Similarly, Chastity, now Chaz. Bono, originally the daughter of Sonny and Cher, cannot get prostate cancer but remains at risk for ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancer unless these organs were already surgically removed. This is medical reality.

It is also common sense, now in short supply in the medical world and in the media. Thirty years ago, in 1992, Time magazine famously asked, “Why are men and women different?” Their extensive and hard-hitting research led them to conclude, “They are born that way.” Wow! Stop the presses! Men and women are born differently!

Thirty years later, a prestigious medical journal is reaching the same conclusion that men (or women) are men (or women) regardless of how they feel or how pop culture labels them.

Rather than stating the obvious, JAMA and other research journals should be focusing on the harms of the transgender movement, as this non-emphasized tidbit in the research letter notes, “Another finding was that transgender women who were taking estrogen, a common feminization therapy, had the most aggressive prostate cancer.”

How about looking at prostate cancer mortality in men taking or not taking estrogen and other hormones? Lia, Caitlyn, and Dylan might feel edgy and liberated as trans-gals, but do they know that their “gender affirming choices” might prove fatal due to a turbo-charged cancer? Isn’t that worth emphasizing?

The medical profession is losing another dollop of credibility after pushing nonevidence-based COVID prevention and treatment measures, now doing the same with the transgender movement. What happened to first do no harm?
