India: Group of Muslim men beat up women for ‘engaging in immoral act’ a day after Eid, arrested

A day after Eid, a group of Muslim men mercilessly beat up two women in broad daylight. The incident took place on Sunday (April 23) at a roadside Dhaba (eatery) near the bridge of the Beki River on National Highway 31, Barpeta, Assam. The video was the incident has gone viral on social media.

The Barpeta police took to Twitter to inform that 10 people have been arrested in connection with the case.

Notably, this year Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2023, followed by Basi Eid on April 23, 2023.

According to reports, the accused, identified as Sanidul Islam, Bilal Hussain, Amir Hussain, Alamgir Ali, Akaas Ali, Saqibul Hussain, Saddam Hussain, Jahidul Islam, Abul Hussain, Abdul Latif, and Raju Ahmed reportedly dragged the women out of the dhaba and subjected them to verbal abuse before physically assaulting them. The irate mob also broke into the dhaba and ransacked the place. A customer at the dhaba was also beaten up by the assailants.

The assaulters accused the women of ‘engaging in an immoral act’ inside the Dhaba premises. Locals alleged that the people in the dhaba were involved in immoral activities including sex rackets, and drugs among others.

The young women were fortunately saved due to the promptness shown by a few local youths present at the dhaba. On getting the information, the Barpeta police reached the spot, intervened and took the two young women into their custody.

Syrian Islamist Suspected of Planning Bomb Attack Arrested in Hamburg, Germany

German authorities have detained a Syrian man on suspicion of planning to carry out an explosives attack motivated by Islamic extremism, officials said Tuesday.

Federal police said officers detained the 28-year-old man early Tuesday in the northern city of Hamburg.

Investigators say the man is suspected of trying to obtain substances online that would have allowed him to manufacture an explosive belt “in order to carry out an attack against civilian targets.”

Police say the man was encouraged and supported in his action by his 24-year-old brother, who lives in the southern town of Kempten. The men, whose names weren’t immediately released, are described as being motivated by “radical Islamist and jihadist” views.

Authorities said they had no information indicating a concrete target for the planned attack.

Police searched properties in Hamburg and Kempten, seizing large amounts of evidence including chemical substances, officials said. Some 250 officers were involved in the operation.

Germany’s top security official thanked police, saying their actions “have prevented possible Islamist attack plans.”

Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said the case showed that the danger of Islamic extremism remained high and pledged that German security agencies would continue to take all information about such threats seriously.

“Germany remains a direct target of Islamist terrorist organizations,” she said. “Islamist-motivated lone perpetrators are another significant threat.”

Germany: Hamburg pays €14.2 million in hotel bills for migrants in March alone

Germany, like many Western nations, is facing a housing crisis partly driven by mass immigration. As housing and rent prices soar, German taxpayers are being forced to pay hundreds of millions every year to house migrants across the country. In expensive cities such as Hamburg, the bills are shockingly high.

In March alone, the Hamburg government spent €14.2 million on hotel rooms involving 6,500 accommodation spots, which amounts to an average of €2,154 per accommodation — a surprisingly high sum for just one month.

The amount of money spent came to light to light after the AfD parliamentary group in Hamburg’s parliament submitted a request for the information.

“The costs include accommodation and catering costs as well as room cleaning, equipment with bed linen and towels, their cleaning, internet, and waste disposal,” read the Senate answer, which was made available to German newspaper Junge Freiheit.

In fact, the city of Hamburg is actually buying up entire hotels to house migrants even as Germans struggle to find affordable housing in the city. In February of this year, the city bought the Select Hotel Hamburg Nord to obtain its 122 rooms for approximately 250 migrants. It was the third time Hamburg had bought an entire hotel for the purpose of housing migrants. Last year, the city announced it planned to house 100 migrants inside a retirement home.

The hotels are seen as only a temporary solution, and the cost of housing all migrants in Hamburg is far higher than €14.2 million every month, as this bill does not include housing for migrants in asylum shelters and more long-term residences.

The city needs an “admission stop and at the same time a deportation offensive,” demanded AfD parliamentary group deputy leader Alexander Wolf. The red-green senate has lost “all inhibitions in terms of asylum costs,” the faction criticized.

Hamburg is one of the cities seeing the fastest pace of demographic change involving the displacement of ethnic Germans. The majority of school-aged children now have migration backgrounds.

Now, polling shows a majority of Germans want to pause migrant arrivals. As Remix News reported earlier, 12 out of Germany’s 16 federal states last year announced they were blocking further refugee intakes, arguing they have no capacity left to absorb any more newcomers.

In 2022, the country took in over 1.2 million people, which has overwhelmed the German social welfare system.

Switzerland destroys its weapons instead of giving them to Ukraine

THE RAPIER air defence system is manufactured by the British Aircraft Corporation and was commissioned in 1971. The missiles have a range of 8 kilometers and are guided by an unusual optical guidance system which provides high accuracy. The system’s short response time and the high maneuverability of the missile has med Rapier popular. Richard Watt, Defence Imagery, (OGL v1.0), Wikimedia Commons

Despite growing international pressure, Switzerland is instead destroying older air defense systems that it has decommissioned. The country claims that sending weapons to a warring party would violate its historical neutrality policy.

Switzerland has also banned other countries from sending Swiss-made weapons to the conflict. The country is famous for manufacturing high-quality small firearms.

In the 1980s, the Alpine nation purchased Rapier ground-based air defense systems from the United Kingdom, and its armed forces currently have 60 Rapier systems in operation. However, the missiles are now considered outdated, and the first series of Rapier has already been scrapped. Now, the remaining systems will be decommissioned as well. Ukraine has requested to take over the weapons because it believes they could still be useful against Russian aircraft, including drones and missile attacks, but Switzerland is saying no.

Switzerland is not the only country exercising strict neutrality in the conflict. Neighboring Austria is also officially neutral and refuses to send weapons to Ukraine. The same goes for Hungary.

In February, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán gave a speech on the state of the nation in which he referred to Switzerland while explaining Hungary’s stance on the war and neutrality.

“Let’s make it clear that NATO membership is crucial for Hungary. We are too far east, on the western world’s eastern edge, to leave. Of course, it would be easier if we were further away. Following the examples of Austria and Switzerland, we can toy with the idea of neutrality, but history has not given us that luxury. NATO is a defensive alliance, a military, defensive alliance, formed so that we can defend each other. That’s why we joined, and that’s why I felt the historical satisfaction of signing the accession treaty after 45 years of Soviet occupation,” he said.

Switzerland has not been at war since 1499. Neutrality has not only kept the country out of the wars that have raged in Europe – it has also allowed the Swiss to hire out mercenaries to whoever they wanted. Swiss mercenaries were known for their skill in fighting with lances and halberds, and the wars provided opportunities for good profits.

Bud Light sales decline is ‘staggering’ according to beer industry research firms

By Thomas Lifson

AB-InBev, the corporate parent of Bud Light, is silent on the subject, but according to outside industry researchers, Bud Light’s sales collapse is “staggering” in the wake of protest over its engagement of Dylan Mulvaney as an “internet influencer.” Lisa Fickenscher writes in the New York Post:

Bud Light has suffered a “staggering” sales hit following the beer brand’s controversial marketing tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney — with the latest data showing an alarming 17% drop, according to an industry research firm.

The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15.

That’s sharply ahead of the 6% drop in sales dollars and 11% drop in volume that Bud Light had suffered during the week ended April 8 — the seven days that immediately followed the April 1 launch of the controversial Mulvaney campaign on social media.

Photo credit: Dylan Mulvaney/Instagram via the New York Post

The story confusingly fails to explain if the drops are cumulative. In other words, is the volume decline of 21% for the week of April 15 a further decline from 11% decline the week before? Data reported later in the piece shows an even more brutal decline, suggesting the damage is cumulative:

Bud Light’s volume declined by 34.7% at bars, restaurants and other venues between April 2 and April 15, according to BeerBoard. Bud Light dropped to the No. 4 draft beer from No. 3 during the second week of the controversy, switching places with Coors Light, Brewbound reported on Monday.

Bud Light had long been the number one beer brand in the USA prior to the Mulvaney massacre. Very, very few instances (other than product poisoning incidents) see a market-leading brand lose over a third of its sales volume and go from first to fourth place in market share.

Almost as telling is the success that pre-Mulvaney Bd Light was enjoying:

During the NCAA basketball tournament from March 18 to April 1, it was the clear leader of all light beers at bars and other venues, up 15%, according to Brewbound, a trade publication which cited data from BeerBoard. But after the Mulvaney campaign launched, demand for Bud Light trailed other light beers by 6% at bars and restaurants.

The dimensions of this disaster are still emerging. I’d love to be a fly on the wall at a meeting that reportedly is being held today:

Anheuser-Busch distributors are meeting with the company in Washington, DC, on Tuesday.

Distributors are the ones whose personnel make deliveries to taverns and retailers, and I suspect they are bringing stories to the attention of AB-InBev that are, shall we say, colorful. They may well make the point that other brands, in particular the flagship original Budweiser (‘the king of beers”), are suffering by association.

I am pretty sure that many distributors are calling for the company to be more emphatic in apologizing and repudiating its past actions embracing Mulvaney. But is the company willing to incur the wrath of the vicious trans movement?

The story has more chapters yet to be written. This is the most impactful reaction to the sudden rise of trans activism yet seen.

Journalist of ‘What is a woman’ fame says YouTube threatened to deplatform him if he doesn’t affirm to gender ideology: What happened

Matt Walsh says he was threatened by Youtube as he refused to agree to terms related to gender affirmation (Image: Tolling Stone)

On April 25 (local time), journalist Matt Walsh said on Twitter that his production house would post the content directly on Twitter as YouTube threatened to deplatform him if he did not reaffirm dangerous gender ideology. The Matt Walsh Show tweeted, “YouTube has threatened to ban us if we don’t affirm gender ideology. They want me to either surrender my principles or become irrelevant. So starting today, every episode of this show will be posted on Twitter, which is now the most powerful free speech platform in the world.”

In the video, he said, “On the YouTube front, as long as they make an affirmation of gender ideology a prerequisite for posting my show on the platform, I will not post my show on the platform. But also, I will not allow myself to be banished into the obscurity of some internet get where nobody will find my content. This is the choice big tech wants us to make. They want me to either surrender my principles or become irrelevant. They will be happy with whatever of the two options I choose. Either one is fine with them. Which is why I choose neither.”

“Instead, starting today, we will make the show available to everyone for free on Daily Wire. They also will be available on Rumble, Apple Podcast, Spotify and all the other places where you normally get the podcast. And we are trying something new as well. Starting today, every show episode will also be posted in full on Twitter, the most powerful free speech platform in the world. And seems like the place where the show belongs. If you follow our channel on YouTube, you will still find plenty of content that we make specially for you. We will post clips from the show so we can reach new audiences without message,” he added.

Regarding uploading full episodes on YouTube, he said, “We are not going to give YouTube our full shows as long as the situation remains as it is. The point is we are not going to capitulate. We are also not going to scale down and become obsolete. Instead, we are going to be bigger. We are going to be more innovative. We are going to reach more people in more ways on more platforms. That is our response. This is just the beginning, and I will announce more soon.”

Who is Matt Walsh?

Matt Walsh is an American right-wing political commentator, writer and speaker. He is best known for the Matt Walsh Show. He produced the documentary “What Is A Woman” in 2022. Walsh works with Daily Wire, a conservative news platform. Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, 36-year-old Matt Walsh is a conservative and speaks openly against the critical gender theory that is being fed to the West. Walsh’s videos’ criticism transgenderism in children has gained a lot of traction on social media.

Walsh is very outspoken against transgenderism spreading like wildfire. He has opined that believing that being trans is a mental illness and can be compared to schizophrenia. In 2019, he tweeted, “A “transwoman” is a biological man with a mental illness that causes him to believe he is a woman. We do not need to redefine biology to accommodate the delusions of confused people.”

Back in 2016, he said, “Trans” people and schizophrenics both suffer from severe mental illness.” Walsh has emphasised that affirmation of transgenderism would lead to sexual deviancy and advocacy of paedophilia in his tweets.

In recent videos making rounds on social media, he could be seen arguing with the alleged “trans” people about how the theory of gender affirmation is problematic. He pointed out how men and women are biologically different. He shut down a trans medical care provider by asking the nurse if they would consider a biological man identifying as a woman to have a miscarriage.

Twitter will no longer suspend users for “misgerdering”

Recently, Twitter modified its hateful conduct policy and removed “misgendering” as grounds for suspension. Twitter made a significant change in its policy by removing the aspect of the “Hateful Conduct” policy under which a Twitter user might get suspended if they were found misgendering or deadnaming transgender individuals. The change was noticed by social media users and media houses only on April 18, when it made headlines. Some reports suggest that such changes would make Twitter “less safe for marginalised groups”.

“He kept asking us to help him plot attacks in France”: He attacks a compatriot in an occupied house with a knife, the attacker turns out to be a Salafist close to a terrorist

Denis Cuspert, a former German rapper, had joined the ranks of Daech in 2014. An active propagandist for the terrorist organisation, he was killed in Syria in 2018.

The criminal court in Toulon sentenced two illegal immigrants from Tunisia to three years in prison. In July 2021, they had attacked a compatriot in a squat in La Seyne.

The conflict spread across the Mediterranean. From Bizerta to La Seyne, the same hatred, the same routine. On July 25, 2021, Brahim Zaouiaoui violently attacked Yassine Dems in a squatted house in Cité Berthe. He was so violent that an attempted murder case was opened for a while. Finally, the criminal court of Toulon decided on the case last month. It sentenced Brahim Zaouiaoui and Hassan Dhifallah to three years in prison and a definitive ban to enter the country.

The services of the Ministry of the Interior are of the same opinion. In 2016, Yassine Dems did belong to a Salafist movement. “His name was mentioned in a planned attack in the European Union,” explains lawyer Christophe Hernandez, who is defending Hassan Dhifallah. He was close to a German terrorist, a certain Denis Cuspert. If you know his background, you have the right to question the veracity of his statements.”

“He is a fundamentalist who accused us of drinking alcohol,” Brahim agrees. “He kept asking us to help him organise attacks in France and to carry out an attack at a festival in La Seyne,” Hassan adds. Lawyer Hollet points to his client and says: “This boy may have saved some residents of Seyn!”

But the court judges on facts, not hypotheses. “Yassine Dems was undoubtedly not the neighbour one dreams of, but that is no reason to kill him with a knife,” says judge Marie-Laure Arnouil. A few days after the crime, the man was sent back to Tunisia. Since then, it has disappeared from the scene.  Nice-Matin

‘A hunt against the democratic-patriotic opposition’ – AfD state chairman Höcke targeted with indictment over ‘hate speech’

Alternative for Germany (AfD) state chairman for Thuringia and parliamentary group leader Björn Höcke is being targeted with a “hate speech” indictment after the state parliament lifted his immunity for the seventh time.

The AfD party has long faced intense repression from the German state, including monitoring of politicians’ and members’ emails and phone callspolice raids, and even ongoing attempts to ban the party. However, as the party has risen in popularity in the polls, pressure has only grown.

Höcke contends that the prosecution was “the preliminary climax of a hunt against a prominent representative of the democratic-patriotic opposition in the country.”

The AfD state boss also spoke of an “abusive use of criminal charges, waivers of immunity and processes against legal and legitimate opposition members.”

Normally, German politicians enjoy immunity; however, at the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Halle, the Thuringian state parliament lifted Höcke’s immunity for the seventh time.

The prosecutor accuses Höcke of “incitement of the people” for using “hate speech” with the phrase “Everything for Germany” during an election rally speech in 2021. The same phrase was engraved on SA daggers, seen as the brown shirt wing of the National Socialists. However, Höcke denied that the phrase had anything to do with Hitler and his movement, saying that he was referring to the AfD’s campaign motto in Saxony-Anhalt: “Everything for our homeland.”

Höcke stated that in the enter speech, there was not even “the slightest NS (National Socialism) reference to be found.”

The AfD is particularly strong in the German state of Thuringia, and Höcke is seen as one of the more right-leaning leaders in a party known for its strict stance against mass immigration.

Höcke also made specific accusations about the prosecutor’s investigation, saying they are fishing around for information on him completely unrelated to the investigation, saying: “How can it be that the public prosecutor’s office in Halle had the police in Thuringia conduct witness interviews with my employees, current and former state executive board members, who explicitly asked questions that did not contribute at all to clarifying the facts?”

Save the Planet, Invest in Fossil Fuels – If we want more of the poorest people to have decent lives

Earth Day is Saturday! Hooray?

“Saving humanity from the climate crisis,” says EarthDay.org, requires us to “push away from the dirty fossil fuel economy.”

Sounds logical.

But my latest video explains why doing that is cruel to poor people.

“Three billion people in the world still use less electricity than a typical refrigerator,” explains Alex Epstein, author of “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels.” If they’re going to have “their first well-paying jobs … their first consistent supply of clean water … a modern life … that’s going to depend on fossil fuels.”

But the greens say we have a better replacement: wind and solar power.

So I push back at Epstein: “Solar is getting cheaper all the time. It’s already cheaper than fossil fuels.”

“When we look at solar and wind around the world,” he answers, “it always correlates to rising prices and declining reliability. Why? Because solar and wind are intermittent. At any time, they can go near zero.”

That means wind turbines and solar farms don’t replace fossil fuel plants. You have to build them in addition to fossil fuel plants.

“We spent trillions of dollars in subsidies and mandates putting solar panels and wind turbines everywhere,” Epstein points out, “Yet we’re still having shortages of fossil fuels.”

Germany invested heavily in solar and wind power. Elites around the world praised German politicians for creating record renewable power. But that didn’t work so well when the winds slowed and clouds appeared.

Germans now pay much more for electricity, triple what Americans pay.

Germany has even turned to coal for energy. Coal! Coal is the filthiest fuel. Yet Germany now imports coal from Russia and America.

OK, say the activists, even if renewables have problems, soon we’ll have better batteries so we can bank wind and solar energy and store it until it’s needed!

Batteries are “getting continually better and cheaper,” I say to Epstein.

Backing up all solar and wind with batteries would cost “multiples of global GDP,” responds Epstein. “This is a total fantasy.”

“You say unaffordable,” I push back, “but who’s to determine what that is?”

“The general narrative is we’re destroying the planet with fossil fuels, so who cares how much energy costs?” Epstein says. “The truth is, the planet is only livable because of low-cost, reliable energy from fossil fuels.”

Before fossil fuels, “Life expectancy was below 30. Income was basically nonexistent. The population was stagnant because people had such a high death rate. The basic reason is that nature is not a very livable place for human beings.”

By contrast, thanks to cheap fossil fuels, “We make it unnaturally safe by producing all forms of climate protection. We produce drought relief … sturdy buildings. We produce heat when it’s cold, we produce cold when it’s hot. We have this amazing, productive ability. That’s the only reason we experience the planet as livable.”

Unfortunately, because of today’s foolish hysteria over fossil fuels, energy prices will climb. “When you threaten an industry, you scare investors and producers. Massive threats to industry have definitely cut down production.”

America’s affluent protesters can afford the higher prices. But poor people will suffer. Allowing billions of the world’s poor to live a modern life requires energy from gas, oil and even coal.

The United Nations now puts pressure on countries to stop using fossil fuels. Governments in poor countries, eager for UN handouts, often listen.

“Their whole population is going to suffer,” warns Epstein. “People who have by far the least in the world (are) most subject to today’s international pressure against fossil fuels.”

If we want more of the poorest people to have decent lives, we need to invest in both fossil fuels and nuclear power.
