On January 13, a Christian farm contractor identified as Allah Ditta Masih was brutally murdered by three Muslim men in the Renala Khurd city of Pakistan. The three accused have been identified as Osama, Intizar, and Awais.

According to the reports, the police filed an FIR against the three based on the complaint registered by Kashif Masih, the son of the victim. Kashif said that his father 55 years old Allah Ditta Masih was a farm contractor and was brutally shot dead by three village men Osama, Intizar, and Awais.

Kashif said that on the day of the murder, his father along with two of his sons Shahbaz and Kashif were looking after their guava orchard near the village. At around 2 pm, the three accused arrived at the farm and began picking the guavas from the orchard. They were plucking guavas, having bites, and throwing them away if they don’t like the taste. Seeing this, Allah Ditta Masih tried to stop them. The accused were known to him and they had stolen from the farm earlier also. He asked them to not waste the fruits and said that the fruits are not ripe yet.

On being asked to leave by the Christian farmer, the three Muslims got agitated, and they started to abuse him, calling him a filthy Christian. The three engaged in a verbal fight with Allah Ditta Masih. After that, Osama took out the weapon and shot Masih in the chest. After shooting the farmer, the three men threatened the frightened Christian family with death if they told the police, then laughed while fleeing from the crime scene. While leaving, they shouted, ‘You Christian Chura (filthy street sweepers) have no chance of justice for you, we can kill you whenever we want’. They also damaged more fruits while going away.

The injured Masih was then taken to the nearby hospital named the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Renala Khurd where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim’s son Kashif registered a complaint against the three and demanded strict punishment against the accused. The police registered an FIR against the three culprits under counts 34 and 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The Police have arrested one of the accused identified as Intizar from his house. Intizar confessed to the crime and the police are now looking for Osama and Muhammad Awais.

Reportedly, the three culprits belong to wealthy families and have strong political connections. Osama’s father is a retired army officer and has already reached out to Allah Ditta’s family, apologizing for his son’s behaviour.

Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday blasted the “blind violence” of two deadly attacks that took place in Spain and Germany on Wednesday.
    Two people were killed and several were injured when a knife-wielding Palestinian launched an attack on a train travelling between the German cities of Kiel and Hamburg.
    A man was killed and other people were injured by a man who attacked them with a machete in churches in the Spanish port of Algeciras.
    The Spanish authorities have said the attack, reportedly staged by a Moroccan man, could be terrorism-related.
    “Brutal acts and blind violence have again hit Europe,” Meloni said in a statement.
    “I express my closeness and solidarity and that of the Italian government to Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez after the attacks that caused death and pain to unarmed citizens in Germany and Spain.
    “We must keep up our guard against people and movements that want to destroy our societies and attack us for what we are”.

The Dutch government needs to create an additional 38,000 spaces to accommodate the anticipated influx of asylum seekers arriving into the country this year, investigative work from Dutch current affairs program Nieuwsuurreveals.

In recent publications, the country’s Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) wrote it expects a total of 75,500 places will be required to sufficiently handle new arrivals, up from the 50,000 reception places that currently exist.

Last year, the government relied heavily on temporary accommodation, including cruise ships, but these will no longer be available for asylum purposes come the spring when the tourist season returns.

Figures viewed by Nieuwsuur show that as many as 35 locations throughout the country, currently being used to house asylum seekers, will close their doors by June 1, leaving the Dutch government approximately 38,000 places short of its target.

State Secretary Eric van der Burg, responsible for the country’s asylum and migration policy, told the program his department will “do everything possible” to ensure all asylum seekers are properly accommodated; he also confirmed that tens of thousands of shelters will need to be created, presumably at Dutch taxpayers’ expense.

“The task is great, but we are now more prepared than last year,” he added.

Earlier this month, a damning Court of Audit report revealed that the Dutch government had overspent on its budgeted asylum policy in 21 of the last 23 years. It spent €1 billion, almost double the €538 million it had budgeted, on asylum policy last year.

The independent body echoed similar warnings to the findings of Nieuwsuur that as temporary accommodation used last year returns to its primary purpose, the country’s asylum agency will need to resort to new emergency accommodation for thousands of asylum seekers at considerable cost. It also warned that simply establishing new reception centers without investment in wider societal needs will negatively impact education, the housing market, and public transport.

The Dutch population grew by almost 227,000 last year to 17.8 million, with the increase almost entirely attributed to mass migration, Dutch broadsheet De Telegraaf reported earlier this month.

An investigation by Médiapart revealed that the Renaissance deputy of Hauts-de-Seine Emmanuel Pellerin used cocaine, before as well as after his election.

On Wednesday 25 January, an investigation by French outlet Médiapartrevealed that the Renaissance deputy for Hauts-de-Seine, Emmanuel Pellerin, used cocaine even after he had been elected to his position. Interviewed by Médiapart, the MP for the 9th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine admitted to having taken the substance and smoked cannabis before his election, but to have stopped “concomitantly” with his election to the National Assembly in June 2022.

However, when confronted with evidence presented by Médiapart, the deputy admitted to having used drugs after his election, during a party to celebrate his victory in July 2022. He again claimed to have “stopped everything” since then.

Médiapart also revealed that an investigation was opened by the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office on 9 September 2022, notably on the basis of statements made by Emmanuel Pellerin’s 11-year-old son, who explained to his psychologist that his father had shown him the box in which the drugs were kept when he was using them.

This box was later destroyed by his father. It was this psychologist who reported the matter to the courts. The child’s mother, divorced from Emmanuel Pellerin, also testified in the investigation, stating on the record that she had an exchange of SMS messages in which her ex-husband confirmed the facts.

The psychologist was not interviewed. And, more surprisingly, despite the opening of an investigation by the territorial brigade for family protection (BPF) of the Hauts-de-Seine, the deputy in question was not interviewed either.

In the end, the investigation was closed on 26 September, nearly two weeks after it was opened, by the Nanterre prosecutor, who considered that “the elements constituting a criminal offence did not appear to be established”. According to Médiapart, the investigators considered that “provocation to use narcotics” required a “positive act” that the file did not contain.

Macron administration tainted by drugs

Not long ago, another member of Macron’s administration, the Minister for Urban Affairs resigned from her position as MP after her deputy was indicted for drug trafficking.

Moussa Ouarouss was suspected of being the head of an international drug trafficking ring. Thus Nadia Hai, the Minister Delegate for Immigrant Cities, had to resign from the National Assembly. If she had not resigned, Ouarouss would have taken over her seat in the Assembly. Her resignation instead forced a legislative byelection in her constituency, which includes Trappes and Saint-Cyr-L’Ecole.

In 2019, explained French daily Le Parisien, her deputy, Moussa Ouarouss, had been indicted for “importation, transport and possession of drugs in an organised gang and criminal association”. The thirty-year-old is suspected of being at the head of an international drug trafficking ring between Morocco, France and Belgium.

Clearly, Nadia Hai may have wanted to avoid that her deputy, whom justice suspects of directing the international drug trafficking ring, sits in the hemicycle in her place.

The daily recalled that the resigning MP had ended her relationship with her deputy in February 2018. She considered then that he was “not very invested” in his function. On July 7, Moussa Ouarouss said on Twitter that he did not want to sit in the National Assembly, “not being in the constituency for 2 years. He added: “I think that a local candidate will be able to better represent the voice of the inhabitants of the 11th constituency of Yvelines in the National Assembly.”

According to him, the decision was the result of a “common agreement” with Nadia Hai.

One dead and one injured are the consequences of a jihadist attack that took place this afternoon in three churches in Algeciras.

The national police confirmed the arrest of a person who had been wreaking havoc in the churches of San Isidro, La Palma and the Chapel of Europe.

The dead man is Diego Valencia, the sexton of the church of La Palma, and the injured man is Father Antonio Rodríguez, the parish priest of the chapel of San Isidro. The latter suffered a stab wound and is in serious condition in hospital.

In San Isidro, the detainee entered the San Isidro chapel and struck at pictures using a large machete and dressed in a djellaba. The pastor tried to chase him away and when he was outside, he turned on the clergyman and stabbed him in the neck. Europasur

The mother of an 18-year-old Roman woman murdered in Marche in January 2018 on Wednesday wore a T-shirt with a shocking photo of her body as she attended the appeals trial of a Nigerian drug pusher convicted of killing and dismembering her daughter.
    “Have you seen what they did to her,” Alessandra Verni said of her daughter Pamel Mastropietro, a drug addict murdered at Pollenza outside Macerata on January 30 five years ago.
    “That man, who raped and tortured her, should rot in jail,” she said of Innocent Oseghale, the 32-year-old pusher whose appeal on rape charges is now being heard in Perugia.
    The pair nearly came to blows as Oseghale was led away shouting “enough judicial oppression”, with Verni going up to him and screaming “tell me…tell me what you want!” Last February the supreme Court of Cassation on upheld a life term for Oseghale.
    It quashed an appeals court’s conviction for rape and sent that issue back to the second appeals court in Perugia.
    If that court finds him innocent of rape the life term may be shortened.
