Surprise! Harry is every bit as awful as Meghan

I’m sure I was not alone in feeling that Harry was one of those okay guys who fell in love with the wrong woman, turned into a milquetoast, and allowed her to call the shots in their relationship, no matter how stupid, cruel, or self-centered those shots were. Harry’s memoir, however, establishes that the low-IQ but ordinary guy we thought we knew was, in reality, every bit as awful as his wife.

The one-time Prince Harry always seemed like an impressively ordinary guy for someone raised in the Royal Family. He publicly went through his stupid teens and early 20s but seemed to settle down after seeing active duty in Iraq and founding the Invictus Games. When Prince William and Kate became an item, Harry seemed happy palling around with them.

And then, Meghan Markle appeared. The world thought it witnessed her transforming Harry into an awful version of a California guy, whining with his posh accent about getting in touch with his feelings. We immediately knew that Markle was a bad apple using the royal family’s stratospheric fame, along with the race and sex cards, to elevate her status in the world, maybe right into the White House.

However, now that we’ve learned the contents of Harry’s memoir, entitled Spare, is an anguished, existential scream, all stemming from the fact that his older brother is first in line to the throne, there’s a new complexion on things. Harry, it turns out, found and married his emotional doppelgänger.

I have not and will not read the book. Just reading the Daily Mail’s headlines, though, tells you that only a person with a heart of stone could fail to laugh at the sheer horror of Harry’s life as a young scion of the most famous family in the world:

I remember back in the 1990s, before, during, and after Diana’s death, how often the young royals were in the headlines because of their immature, self-serving lifestyles. Many people felt that those blessed enough to live such a rarefied life ought to be thinking in terms of public service rather than partying, sleeping around, and then sleeping around and partying.

While it’s true that Harry lost his flamboyant, self-involved mother at a painfully young age, that in itself is not a recipe for the kind of extraordinary narcissism we see here. Somehow, Harry managed to do this all by himself.

You see, it turns out that Harry wasn’t a cloistered naif overwhelmed by Meghan’s feminine wiles. Instead, he met someone who is a soulmate. Both are self-absorbed, shallow, petty, vindictive, and thin-skinned. When they look at each other, each sees his or her reflection looking back—and rather than being horrified by the grotesquerie of the reflection, each feels calmed, validated, and empowered.

We’re being reminded, again, that character is the only thing that will make a person happy. It’s not what life gives us that determines our contentment; it’s how we respond to what life throws our way.

Harry, a boy born on a platinum platter, turns out to have been shortchanged when it came to the one thing that mattered most: being a good human being. I deeply pity his and Meghan’s children. It’s tough enough to be a narcissist’s child. However, when you’re hit with a double-whammy of over-the-top personality disorders, one must wonder if those children have any chance at all of being happy in life.

‘Politically Correct Gibberish’ – German Public Broadcaster Accused of Wanting to ‘Cover Up’ Migrant Riots

A public broadcaster in Germany has been accused of trying to “cover up” migrant riots in Berlin on New Year’s Eve.

Tagesschau, a public news broadcaster in Germany, has come under fire for its coverage of riots that took place in Berlin during New Year’s Eve, with one publication going so far as to accuse the broadcaster of trying to “cover up” the large proportion of migrants involved in the violence.

Although other elements within the country’s political sphere have tried to shift the focus of the riots to the issue of banning fireworks under the auspices that this would reduce violence, even some of the more hardline senior left-wing politicians in the country have since admitted that many involved in the violence are young men with migrant backgrounds.

According to a report by Bild, Tagesschau repeatedly avoided making reference to the sizable migrant involvement in the violence, with the broadcaster even reportedly claiming that “most” of those arrested in relation to the violence were German.

However, Bild has labelled this claim as being “simply wrong”, with multiple sources — including Tagesschau itself — having since confirmed that only 45 of the 145 arrested hold a German passport.

Bild has also accused the public broadcaster of editing a statement made by a Berlin firefighter in one of its reports so as to exclude the part where he claims that the individuals at the centre of the violence were “adolescents, mostly with a migration background”.

Instead, a spokeswoman for Tagesschau is said to have just said that the perpetrators were male “adolescents and young adults”.

Others have taken to attacking Tagesschau for their allegedly selective reporting of the violence, with one former showrunner for the broadcaster labelling their journalism as “politically correct gibberish”, while other politicians within legacy parties accused the broadcaster of bias.

“This is how you build up prejudices and not break them down,”  Stefan Müller MP of the Christian Social Union told Bild, before alleging that the public news outlet “manipulates interviews for ideological reasons”.

If such an accusation against the public broadcaster proves to be correct, it will not be the first time that the German media appeared to try to cover up migrant violence.

Most infamously, the country’s national media remained eerily silent after over 1,000 migrants took to the streets of Cologne to sexually assault women on New Year’s Eve in 2016, with The Times reporting that the story only really gained the attention of the general public after social media posts and news reports by Breitbart brought the issue to light.

However, although there remains a certain amount of focus on auxiliary issues, such as banning fireworks in the hopes of stopping violence, there appears to be far less appetite to ignore the migrant element involved in this recent violence than there was in 2016, with even some of Germany’s more left-wing politicians openly linking the violent scenes to Berlin’s migrant population.

“We have a big problem in German cities with certain young men with a migration background who despise our state, commit acts of violence and are hardly reached with education and integration programs,” Germany’s Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser — a woman who previously penned an article for a publication openly called “Antifa” — said.

“We have to clearly show those who refuse to integrate violence in our cities the limits: with a firm hand and clear language — but without stirring up racist resentment,” she reportedly went on to add.

‘Non-Muslims are our enemies, our children should understand this’, says radical Canadian cleric Sheikh Younus Kathrada in a viral video

A video of an Islamist cleric named Sheikh Younus Kathrada is making rounds on social media. The video is from Canada. It was first published on 30th December 2022, on YouTube Channel Muslim Youth Victoria. In this video, Sheikh Younus Kathrada said in his provocative speech that non-Muslims make false allegations against Islam because they are enemies of Allah. In the video that has gone viral, the cleric is seen saying that non-Muslims are their enemies, and their children should understand, ‘May Allah annihilate atheists’.

Sheikh Younus Kathrada said, “They accuse Islam of these false accusations because they are the enemies of Allah. How is it that they are not the enemies of Allah when they insult Allah? What does Allah say in Quran about himself? He begets not, nor is He begotten. He doesn’t have children, and He is not the child of anyone. But what do (the Christians) say? They say that Allah has a son. Is this not enmity towards Allah? How are they not the enemies of Allah when they accuse Allah of being tight-fisted, of being stingy, of not being generous?”

Sheikh Younus Kathrada added, “You know when (the Jews) said that Allah responded to them by saying “May their hands be shackled. May they be tight-fisted. May their hands be tied.” And Allah tells us that they are cursed because of what they say. So what, they are the friends of Allah and that’s why Allah curses them? No! He only curses them because they are the enemies of Allah. Understand this well.”

Sheikh Younus Kathrada further said, “Make sure this is clear in your mind. Do you think that they are your friends? No. They are the enemies of Allah. So if they are the enemies of Allah, how are they your close friends? I want our children to understand this well. The non-Muslims are the enemies of Allah therefore they are your enemies. Some of them don’t even believe that Allah exists. Do you want somebody like that to be a close friend of yours? Oh Allah, give strength to Islam and Muslims, humiliate the infidels and the polytheists, destroy the enemies of our religion, and annihilate the heretics and the atheists!”

This is not the first time the cleric has given such a speech. Earlier also, the cleric has given such controversial speeches. In 2018, Sheikh Younus Kathrada, delivereda speech in British Columbia where he said, “There are those who will say to them “Merry Christmas” – what are you congratulating them on? Are these congratulations on the birth of your Lord? Is that acceptable to a Muslim? Are you now approving of their beliefs? By saying that you are approving of it.”

“If a person were to commit every major sin – committing adultery, dealing with interest, lying, murder… If a person were to do all of those major sins, they are nothing compared to the sin of congratulating and greeting the non-Muslims on their false festivals,” he added.

Earlier  Sheik Younus Kathrada was probed by Royal Canadian Mounted Police for hate speech for his controversial statements against non-Muslims.

Germany: With 38 stabs, the Eritrean slaughtered the girlfriends

It is a shocking accusation: Hussein M. (30) is said to have butchered two women to death with 38 stabs and cuts on July 9, 2022. The knife hit the heart, lungs, liver and tore apart the large intestine.

Charge: treacherous murder. Since Wednesday, the 30-year-old from Eritrea has had to stand trial before the Regional Court.

The motive: a broken love relationship with his compatriot Zahra H. († 23). The prosecutor: “She had withdrawn from him,” she said. “He felt exploited and offended by both women.”

Forensic experts recorded 18 stab and cut wounds on and in her body, one rib was broken twice by blows.

Because she could not escape from the flat in Elmshorn, Yusra B. († 19, also from Eritrea) also had to die – the accused stabbed her 20 times with the folding knife (9 cm blade length).

Hussein M. came to Germany five years ago as a refugee. He lived in Tuttlingen (Baden-Württemberg) until his arrest. He allegedly drove 810 kilometres to Schleswig-Holstein to commit the crime.

The accused remained silent on Wednesday. The trial will continue on January 23.

Overwhelming majority of Germans want defense minister sacked, poll finds

More than three-quarters of Germans want current Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht out, after a series of recent gaffes have called into question her credibility and competence, new polling has found.

A survey conducted by Berlin-based research firm, Civey, commissioned by news outlet t-online, revealed that 77 percent of respondents support the removal of Lambrecht, who has been in her role since December 2021.

Just 13 percent believe the Social Democratic Party (SPD) politician should remain in office, while 10 percent hold no clear view either way.

Lambrecht has been the center of controversy for some time following the infamous announcement that Germany would come to Ukraine’s aid by offering 5,000 protective helmets at a time when Ukraine was calling for tanks and weaponry.

Lambrecht’s offer was described by Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, as a “joke” that left him “speechless.” He asked at the time: “What kind of support will Germany send next, pillows?”

The German defense minister has more recently incurred the wrath of Ukrainian officials and German opposition parties for a bizarre New Year’s Eve video posted on her Instagram account in which she claimed the Ukraine conflict had led to “a lot of special experiences” and the chance for “many encounters with great and interesting people,” all with a backdrop of Berlin’s celebratory fireworks.

The video was labeled as “inappropriate and embarrassing” by German news outlet Der Spiegel, while the deputy parliamentary leader of the conservative CDU opposition party, Johann Wadephul, called it “disturbing.”

Lambrecht has overseen numerous failures in the German military’s procurement contracts, as well as major malfunctions to military equipment, not least the 18 modernized Puma tanks intended for the NATO Response Force (NRF) that were deemed unfit for action during a recent military drill in December.

Her ill-advised decision to take her 21-year-old son on a trip in a military helicopter is perhaps the icing on the cake.

Despite the litany of failings and the clear dismay among the German public, Lambrecht received Chancellor Olaf Scholz’ vote of confidence on Wednesday. In response to being asked whether Scholz still had faith in his defense minister, the chancellor’s spokesperson replied: “Yes, of course. The chancellor works well with — and trusts — all cabinet colleagues. And of course, that also applies to the minister who was mentioned.”

For many years, former employees or competitors of Chafic Alywan, the all-powerful boss who was charged and jailed last month, have denounced serious irregularities in his companies’ business operations.

Creating an objective portrait of Chafic Alywan, who was charged and jailed in December as part of an investigation into a corruption network, is a challenge because so many people dislike the 51-year-old. Employees or former employees, competitors and those familiar with the towing service’s inner circle: All denounce “a despicable guy”, says one, “the archetype of the guy who is very tough on the weak and very subservient to the powerful”, chides another.

Lebanese-born Chafic Alywan first came to France in the 1990s. According to our information, he was expelled because of his links to Hezbollah. His own brother holds a high position in the Lebanese Sûreté générale. By marrying a Swiss woman he was able to get a foothold in Europe again. Incidentally, when he was awarded a public contract in 2015, he accidentally discovers that he is registered as a “dangerous person”.

24 hours after the revelation of embezzlement by a tycoon of the Paris towing services, the Socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, announced that she had called in the city’s supervisory authority.

On Thursday January 5, the mayor of Paris (PS) announced that she had asked the city’s supervisory authority to “launch an administrative investigation”.

At the centre was Chafic Alywan, the chief of the towing service Inter Dépannage, who ruled over all the southern arrondissements of the capital as well as parts of the Hauts-de-Seine and Seine-Saint-Denis departments. With whom the city cooperated.

Chafic Alywan was charged with “active and passive bribery by a person holding public power”, “illegal representation of interests”, “forgery of public documents”, “violation of professional secrecy”, “misappropriation of a file”, “money laundering” or even “misuse of company assets”. In his wake, a former official of the prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department was also charged. Police officers are also suspected of being corrupt.

Iraq: 17-year-old girl attacked by dozens of Muslim men in Kurdistan for coming to watch a bike race and causing ‘distraction’

A video has recently gone viral on social media in which a teenage girl is seen attacked by several men at a motorbike race in Sulaimani city in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. 

Reportedly, the 17-year-old girl who has been identified as L. Tarani was attacked by a large group of men for dressing ‘immodestly’. The girl was attacked by the men present at the racing event as they were opposed to women attending the event. The attackers hurled abuses at the girl and called her ‘wh**e’for ‘distracting’ the drivers by dressing ‘indecently’.

While the girl managed to escape the spot, a man who helped her get away was reportedly stabbed.

In a series of tweets, a local NGO named Kurdistan Watch informed on December 31 that the girl had earlier also attended the racing events, but the men claimed that women should not be allowed there as “they will attract all the attention”.

Kurdistan Watch described the Hwana suburb, where the attack took place as one of the most unsafe areas in Sulaimani adding that the place is known for the widespread use of drugs.

According to a local media portal Draw Media report, the participants of the race have been bringing some girls along with them. On the day the attack took place that is December 30th, it was decided that girls will not be allowed at the event, however, L. Tarani arrived at the event. The report adds that it remained unclear whether the girl deliberately arrived at the event or was unaware of the decision prohibiting women from attending the race.

According to Kurdistan Watch, the girl is an Iranian national, and the Sulaimani Police have arrested 16 men for assaulting the Iranian girl. 

It is notable that the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Masrour Barzani called the attack ‘unacceptable’ and directed the relevant ministers to hold the perpetrators accountable. 

“The mob attack on a young girl in Slemani yesterday, at a moment that should’ve been about celebrating the New Year, is shameful, inexcusable, and completely unacceptable. I’ve spoken to the Interior and Justice Ministers to investigate and hold those responsible accountable -MB,” Barzani tweeted.

Taking to Twitter on December 30, 2022, Rewaz Faeq, Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament condemned the attack on the girl. “The senseless assault by these male predators on the girl who like any ordinary person merely wished to watch a race is the result of a barbaric narrative used systematically against our women. A society or authority not awakened by this barbarism should await a rapid death, Faeq tweeted.

Condemning the attack, Jutiar Adel, the Spokesperson of the Regional Government of Kurdistan issued a statement that read, “The attack and assault on a young lady in Sualimani’s Huana area are disgraceful as another incident of assault towards another woman occurred in Sulaimani province in recent days. Such incidents are unacceptable and the Kurdistan Regional Government stands against all kinds of violence and violations of human rights in general and women’s rights and legal action should be taken against the perpetrators of these crimes immediately.

New Year’s mayhem in Germany, including harassment of women, sparks debate on mass immigration

A debate has erupted among Germany’s political parties over the connection between the country’s growing migrant population and the violent attacks on New Year’s Eve. Although police data now shows the overwhelming majority of those arrested were migrants, the governing Social Democrats (SPD) say that integration policies should not be blamed for the events.

However, the shocking events, which saw Berlin and other cities turned into a war zone, are not being pushed aside this time by claims of racism, With the German public already souring on immigration even before the events of New Year’s Eve, the anti-immigration, opposition party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), and the left-center CDU are pointing to a failed immigration policy, a position that could find fresh support from a weary German public. These parties, along with police unions, are urging Germany to have an open debate about who was behind the violence and why.

“It’s all about illegal migration, failed integration, and lack of respect for the state, not fireworks,” Jens Spahn, a CDU politician and the country’s former health minister, told German news portal t-online.

In Spahn’s opinion, the New Year’s Eve attacks are proof of the weakness of the state, and politicians should ask why violent scenes are repeated year after year in Germany. One of the most violent incidents in recent New Year’s Eve celebrations was the gang rapes and assaults on women in Cologne in 2015 by young men of North African and Middle Eastern origin, shortly after Angela Merkel, who led Spahn’s party at the time, allowed over 1 million migrants to enter the country.

The CDU, which promoted mass immigration for years, also fears a rising AfD buoyed by its tough stance on the issue.

In the German newspaper Junge Freiheit, columnist Laila Mirzo pointed out the absurdity of the reaction to immigrant men attacking police and rescue services with firework rockets and other weapons:

“How many people supported a ban on airplanes after the September 11, 2001, attacks? How many for a ban on trucks after Islamic terrorist Anis Amri drove a stolen truck into the busy Christmas market on Berlin’s Breitscheidplatz and murdered 13 people? Or after the truck attack in Nice with 86 dead and over 400 injured?

At the time, there were no corresponding calls for a ban or similar discussions. No sane person would engage in such a debate. The almost hysterical demands for a ban on firecrackers after the New Year’s Eve riots are purely a diversionary maneuver to take the focus away from the actual problem: The problem is not the misuse of New Year’s Eve rockets, but the actors who carried this out.

Anyone who has seen the amateur videos of the war-like riots on New Year’s Eve does not need “experts” to analyze the escalations. If you keep your eyes open and listen to the dialogues and comments, you will quickly realize that the rioters are mainly young men with a migration background.”

She then shared a video from author and journalist Judith Savino Basad where one migrant male tells a reporter, “We already f**ked all the girls and the police can lick our balls,” as firework rockets explode around him.

Basad then wrote in a separate post, “Not a day goes by without some politician professing feminism and speaking out against sexism — except when women are being harassed by the wrong perpetrators. All documentation is here.”

The video shows one of the migrant men, saying, “Hey, baby,” while two girls are being interviewed. The reporter asked, “Do you feel OK here on New Year’s?” One of the girls responds, “No, I had fireworks shot at me.” The other girl later says, “It’s creepy, we are afraid that something is going to happen,” as migrant men touch them from behind.

One of the men says, “Nobody is going to make you afraid, lovely girl. We are also nice boys.”

Jochen Kopelke, president of the GdP police union, said, “What is needed is an immediate debate, results, clear concepts, and a plan to prevent a repetition of these shocking events next year,”

As Remix News reported earlier, In Berlin, police and firefighters responded to 3,943 incidents, with 15 firefighters and 18 police officers injured. While Berlin’s Green MP Canan Bayram accused those on the right of political point-scoring by using the mayhem to “instigate a racist discourse,” police have since reported that 70 percent of those arrested were migrants. Of those arrested with German citizenship, it is unclear how many of those were second- or third-generation migrants, as Germany does not record that data.

New Year’s Eve also saw violence in several cities in Germany’s largest state by population size, North Rhine-Westphalia. There, groups of the rioters consisted predominantly of young men with a migration background, said the state’s interior minister, Herbert Reul, who shared the information with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). Although the North Rhine-Westphalian authorities are still working on the identification of the 233 detained persons, according to FAZ, the list of rioters includes Romanian and Bulgarian persons, as well as German-Turkish and German-Lebanese dual citizens. 

In the province, large police forces have been deployed for years to control problematic neighborhoods, where rival groups, often made up of immigrants, are trying to assert their territorial claims.

However, the German government’s integration commissioner, Reem Alabali-Radovan, said the perpetrators should be judged by their actions and not their ethnicity. Nevertheless, the SPD says it also recognizes that there is a “deeper problem” behind New Year’s Eve celebrations turning violent year after year, and that needs to be addressed.
