Germany: Afghans attack funeral service, sexually harass elderly ladies

In Peutenhausen, Bavaria, there have been robberies and harassment by Roma and Afghans. The mayor therefore wants to force the closure of the two migrant shelters. The community does not want to take in any more fake, barbarised “war refugees”.

But in mid-December there was an incident that was even more disturbing. Two young Afghans, who according to Tyroller were “drunk off their asses”, disrupted a funeral service in the village church. Older women were sexually harassed, their clothes pulled. One was even bitten in the ear. Fire chief Tyroller’s verdict was clear, albeit moderately delivered: “From then on, it was over for good. When you are a guest, you should behave like a guest. And not like an idiot.”
Tyroller points out that not all migrants behave like that. But the mood in the village changed from then on, he says. In addition, the village’s voluntary helpers’ circle disbanded. Until recently, 25 people in the village looked after refugees and migrants. But more and more gave up the unpaid work – even before the incidents.

The village and the municipality to which it belongs have not been assisted by higher authorities either, adds mayor Alfred Lengler. The community – like so many others – is being ” overburdened” by the impending migration crisis. There are fewer and fewer helpers. And the young men who were constantly arriving were “eventually going crazy”.

The response from the village and the mayor is quite firm. Lengler has terminated the rental contract for two migrant shelters with the district office. actually even without notice, only that was not accepted. Now the leases for the two houses expire at the end of 2023 and on March 31, 2024, respectively. But then there should be an end to assigned migrants in Peutenhausen. “The municipality has done its duty,” says Mayor Lengler.

Majority of Europeans see illegal immigration as a top concern facing continent and want to preserve Christian culture, poll finds

An overwhelming majority of Europeans believe illegal immigration remains a key concern affecting the continent and consider Christian culture and traditions worthy of preservation, polling by a Hungarian think tank has revealed.

According to the 2022 Europe Project poll conducted by the Századvég Foundation based in Budapest, almost four in five respondents (78 percent) are concerned about the continuous influx of illegal immigrants into Europe, while a smaller majority of 56 percent think it’s important to preserve Europe’s Christian heritage.

The poll covers not only EU member states but the wider European community, including the United Kingdom, the Balkan region, and Turkey. A summary of the polling was sent to the MTI news outlet on Wednesday.

Albania, a country that has recently been the main country of origin for illegal immigrants flooding into Britain across the English Channel, was the only country surveyed without a majority of respondents concerned about illegal immigration.

Approximately 330,000 illegal border-crossings into the European Union were recorded in 2022, an increase of 64 percent from the previous year.

The Western Balkan migratory route, which typically sees migrants travel through Turkey, Bulgaria, and Serbia to reach the EU external border at Hungary, became the most widely used route by migrants last year, overtaking the Central Mediterranean route, which often sees migrants cross from North Africa to Italy’s southern shores.

The figures provided by Frontex don’t correlate with the number of asylum applications recently recorded by the EU Agency for Asylum, which showed almost 790,000 asylum claims were made across the bloc between January and October last year, a figure from which Ukrainian applications are already exempt.

Of the new arrivals, Frontex revealed that more than 80 percent were adult men.

Stockholm rocked by more gang-related explosions as bombings reach double digits in 2023

An explosion on Wednesday outside an office building in the Kista district of Stockholm brought the number of bombings in Sweden to double digits already for the year.

The blast, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in the Swedish capital, was the result of a large explosive charge that detonated, causing extensive damage to an office building, police spokesperson Ola Osterling told Swedish public broadcaster SVT.

“The explosive charge has destroyed the gate, and we also have damage on the first and second floors,” he said, confirming that no casualties had been reported as a result of the explosion.

The bombing came just one day after a restaurant in the Södermalm island district of Stockholm was targeted by a powerful explosion. That incident resulted in considerable damage to the restaurant and nearby residential buildings, which suffered shattered windows as a result of the blast.

Police are investigating a possible link between the attacks and shootings in the Stockholm suburbs of Märsta and Kallhäll earlier this year, according to SVT. They are refusing to rule out gang-related violence.

SVT reported on Wednesday that the recent bombings may be tied to a power struggle in the drug trade in the Swedish city of Sundsvall, a market currently controlled by a man linked to the Stockholm office buildings targeted with explosives.

“The police suspect that another prominent figure within the Swedish gang milieu wants to take over the drug trade in the area,” the broadcaster claimed.

Explosions and shootings have become commonplace across Sweden in recent years, and the increase in gang violence shows no sign of slowing down in 2023.

In the southern Stockholm district of Farsta earlier this year, residents were told by police to stay in their homes after an explosive device had been detonated in the stairwell of a residential building in the early hours.

On Jan. 2, police were called to the site of two incidents in Grimsta, western Stockholm, after two powerful bomb explosions devastated apartment buildings.

“It was an extremely powerful explosion that caused extensive damage to the entrance to the residential building,” police officer Ola Osterling told news outlet TT at the time.

“Terrible that this happens in Sweden in 2023. You should be safe in your own home, but apparently not,” a local resident told SVT.

Despite the police investigations, recent statistics cited by Radio Sweden revealed that many often lead nowhere, with just one in three bombings in Sweden resulting in an arrest and successful prosecution.

A spate of shootings over the holiday season in December saw Sweden post a record 63 fatal shootings last year, prompting the country’s Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer to claim the country is failing in its fight against gang crime.

Shootings and bombings have become synonymous with the rapidly rising gangland warfare in the country, particularly in the capital of Stockholm. Most attacks take place in the capital’s low-income, vulnerable suburbs.

Back in 2019, when questioned on the ethnicity of those arrested in connection with the growing trend of shootings and bombings, Swedish intelligence chief, Linda H Straaf, revealed many suspects “have grown up in Sweden and they are from socio-economically weak groups, socio-economically weak areas, and many are perhaps second- or third-generation immigrants.”

In 2020, the country’s then-deputy police chief Mats Löfving revealed there were approximately 40 migrant gangs operating in Sweden that were mainly responsible for the increase in violent crime.

“These clans have come to Sweden solely to organize crime. They work to create power, they have a great capacity for violence, and they want to make money. And they do that through drug crimes, violent crimes, and extortion,” Löfving told Swedish television at the time.

The most dangerous countries in 2023

The countries with the highest crime rates in 2023 have been listed by a study of the World Population Review. Africa has a very poor record.

A ranking of the world’s most dangerous countries, based on their crime rates, has been revealed by the portal. Among these less paradisiacal places, Venezuela comes out on top with 83,76 crimes per 100 000 inhabitants. The flawed judicial system and rampant corruption partly explain this result, according to the portal.

Also on the podium is Papua New Guinea (80,7 crimes), which is plagued by drug trafficking. The third place is occupied by an African country: South Africa (76,8 crimes).

The Rainbow Nation suffers from a very high number of assaults, murders and rapes. It is even the world champion in the latter category. In 2009, a study by the South African Medical Research Council found that one in four South Africans admitted to having committed rape.

Other countries in South and Central America monopolise the top ten, such as Honduras, El Salvador and Brazil. Here again, drug trafficking and crimes committed by cartels or organised gangs drive the statistics up.

While it is always difficult to pinpoint the causes of crime, World Population Review pointed out that high levels of unemployment and poverty generally accentuate the trend. Age is also an important factor, with violent crime often committed by people in their 20s and 30s. Effective policing and strict enforcement of sentences could actually reduce the crime rate, they argued.

Finally, other more unusual factors sometimes come into play. For example, the current energy crisis is a concern for the Spanish police, who believe that turning off street lights is a safety issue, particularly for women.

Italian kangaroo court refuses to put climate terrorist under surveillance

screen grab youtube

A Milan court on Thursday rejected a request to put an activist involved in several acts of civil disobedience to highlight the need to tackle the climate crisis under a special-surveillance regime.
Police in Pavia had requested the move on the grounds that 20-year-old Simone Ficicchia was a danger to society after taking part in acts of protest staged by the Ultima Generazione (UG – Last Generation) climate group.
These actions included a protest on December 7 in which ‘concerned citizens’ belonging to UG threw paint at the entrance to the La Scala opera house in Milan.
UG have staged many similar protests including splashing paint over the front of the Senate in Rome and sticking themselves to Botticelli’s Spring at the Uffizi and the Laocoon statue in the Vatican, as well as blocking the Mt Blanc Tunnel, throwing flour over an Andy Warhol car in Milan, and throwing soup onto a Van Gogh in Rome.
They have also blocked traffic on Rome’s ring road on several occasions.

India: Burqa-clad students denied entry in Moradabad college for violating uniform code

Some students of the Hindu college in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad were denied entry to the college for wearing a burqa despite the prescribed uniform code for the students here.

The girls have alleged that their college was not letting them enter the college campus wearing burqa and are compelling them to remove it at the entrance gate. On the said matter, a scuffle broke out between the students, the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha workers, and the college professors who remained adamant about sticking to the prescribed rules. A video of the scene from the Hindu college has been making rounds on the Internet.

Meanwhile, the college professor, Dr AP Singh said that they have implemented a dress code for the students here and anybody who refuses to follow it will be barred from entering the college campus.

To this, the members of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha submitted a memorandum to include the burqa in the dress code for college and allow the girls to attend their classes wearing it.

Earlier in January 2022, a similar situation rose in Karnataka when the masive Hijab protests broke out, where some students of Government Girls PU college in the Udupi district of the state alleged that they had been barred from attending classes. During the protests, some students claimed they were denied entry into the college for wearing hijab.

Following this incident, students of different colleges arrived at Shanteshwar Education Trust in Vijayapura wearing saffron stoles. The situation was the same in several colleges in the Udupi district.

The pre-University education board had released a circular stating that students can wear only the uniform approved by the school administration and no other religious practices will be allowed in colleges.

The matter was then taken up to the Karnataka HIgh Court which dismissed various petitions challenging a ban on Hijab in education institutions and said that wearing a Hijab is not an essential religious practice of Islam.

However, when taken to the Supreme Court, the apex body on October 13, 2022 pronounced a split verdict in the Karnataka Hijab ban case.

The arguments in the matter went on for 10 days in which 21 lawyers from the petitioners’ side and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, Additional Solicitor General KM Nataraj, Karnataka Advocate General Prabhuling Navadgi argued for the respondents.
