Several reports of schoolgirls being harassed in rural English county by groups of foreign men

Numerous complaints have been made regarding adult male asylum seekers allegedly following and harassing young girls in the rural English county of Cornwall.

A social media post went viral from a concerned mother who claimed her 11-year-old daughter and her friends had been harassed by a group of adult men in the town of Penzance.

Posting along with the photograph below, the mother wrote: “These four delightful men have been following my 11-year-old daughter and her friends around Penzance taking photos of them.

“They tried to get on the same bus as the girls but luckily the bus drove off. I am reporting it to the police. Share away please to keep our youngsters safe,” she added.

The incident was reported to the local police who located the group and spoke with them about their behavior.

“Police were called on Jan. 7 with a report of suspicious behavior by a group of men in Penzance town center. Three young girls were reportedly followed by the men on Jan. 4,” said a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police.

“Following police inquiries, four men were traced and spoken to by officers. The men were extremely apologetic for their actions which they said were not intended to cause distress or any harm,” they added.

The local police said the men “were given strong words of advice about their behavior.”

Similar concerns were shared in the Cornish town of Newquay on Tuesday, where a father complained to the local Newquay Leisure World center about how his daughter had been harassed by a group of foreign-speaking men.

“I’m horrified at the response you have just given my daughter. She is being harassed at your Newquay Better. Stared at, spoken about in a foreign language,” the father wrote on the business’s Facebook page.

“Air dropped phone numbers and images. Watched photos being taken of herself and of the pool with kids swimming…”

He told the leisure center that when the complaint was brought to the attention of staff by his daughter, she was told “there was nothing they can do,” as the men are refugees and have their memberships subsidized by the government.

“l am appalled and disgusted,” he added.

In response, the center said it expects “all members to follow suitable protocols and behave appropriately,” and apologized for the response his daughter received following the complaint. They vowed to urgently address the matter.

Responding to a post from another concerned customer who said she was reluctant about visiting the center in light of the incident, the business insisted it is an “inclusive leisure center” and wants all its members to feel safe, adding it will “not hesitate to implement our exclusion policy to a member if we deem it necessary, and will report crime to the police.”

Like much of the United Kingdom, hotels in Cornwall have been booked up by the U.K. Home Office to accommodate the record number of asylum seekers who entered the country via boats in the English Channel last year.

One such example is the Beresford Hotel in Newquay, which is currently closed to the public for exclusive use by asylum seekers.

The Home Office even attempted to rent the Camelot Castle Hotel in the village of Tintagel, offering owner John Mappin £1 million (€1.14 million) to house asylum seekers there for a year, an offer that was refused.

Many local business owners have expressed their concern about the potential decline in tourism as a result of hotel accommodation being used up by asylum seekers, an industry the county heavily relies upon particularly in the summer months.

In November, local Conservative MP Steve Double sought assurances from the Home Office that no Cornish hotels would be used to accommodate asylum seekers “beyond the end of winter so as to not impact on our important tourist season.”

Corruption thriller: Zelensky’s deputy minister arrested

Just 14 days after the President of the Ukrainian National Bank (who is said to have embezzled 5,42 million euros) applied for asylum in Austria, Deputy Minister Wassyl Losynsky was arrested.

Those who are familiar with the EU Court of Auditors’ report on Ukraine from autumn 2021 will not be particularly surprised by the current events in Kiev: Deputy Minister Wassyl Losynsky has been arrested for accepting a six-figure bribe.

“The National Anti-Corruption Bureau searched the home of Deputy Minister for Municipal, Territory and Infrastructure Development Vasyl Losynsky and arrested him,” Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

The ministry has already responded to the report and fired the top official. Losynsky is accused of having received a bribe of 400 000 euros when buying electricity generators. The investigations have been ongoing since September, the government employee apparently wanted to enrich himself by the fact that his compatriots were facing an electricity crisis.

Warrant issued for the Ukrainian bank boss

The latest chapter in the corruption thriller was exposed just 14 days after Austrian daily the eXXpress reported on the President of the Ukrainian National Bank who had fled to Austria. Kyrylo Shevchenko (50) is currently hiding in Vienna because the government in Kiev has accused him of having embezzled 5,42 million euros. In the Ukraine, an arrest warrant has been issued for the bank manager.

As reported, Shevchenko has now applied for asylum in Austria.

The Ukrainian bank boss, who managed the national bank of the warring country until October 4, has excellent international connections: Shevchenko was invited by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on April 21 of the previous year to Washington, right after the start of the Russian operation.

He is not the only Ukrainian fleeing justice: President Zelensky suspended the Constitutional Court’s chairperson Oleksandr Tupytsky in 2020 in an effort to overturn the court’s October decision on corruption.

In December 2020, the Ukrainian parliament reauthorised the government’s decision, ignoring the court. Tupytsky, the former President of the Ukrainian Constitutional Court and declared opponent of the Ukrainian leader, currently also lives undisturbed in Vienna.

Allegations against the Ukrainian Minister of Defense

According to official information, the Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is suspected of overpriced food purchases for the army, the daily newspaper Die Welt reported. Resnikov has been summoned to appear before parliament, Vice-Chair of the Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Reconnaissance Marjana Besugla told national broadcaster Suspilne Mediaon Saturday.

In addition, the Court of Auditors announced a special audit in the Ministry of Defense.

Earlier, media reports in Kiev caused a stir that the Defense Ministry was buying food to feed its soldiers at prices up to three times higher than retail prices in stores. The contract for 13 billion hryvnia – 300 million euros – is not about feeding the soldiers at the front, but enriching kleptocrats in the rear.

Ukraine was granted EU candidate status in June, four months after the war began. The requirements for accession include the rule of law and progress in the fight against corruption, where Ukraine, despite numerous efforts in recent years, still ranks among the lowest in the world.

Press spokesman also fired

Ukrainian presidential advisor Oleksiy Arestovych was forced to resign after stating that the recent strike on an apartment building in Dnepropetrovsk was caused by a Ukrainian SAM missile, not a targeted Russian attack. He quickly became another casualty of Kiev’s information war.

On the evening of January 14, Arestovich said the partial destruction of a residential building in the city was the result of a projectile shot down by Ukrainian air defenses which fell on it. Following this, he was sharply criticized by government supporters and put on the infamous Ukrainian Myrotvorets kill list.

On January 16, Ukrainian legislator Alexey Goncharenko reported that a petition was launched to fire him.

Notably, Arestovych has slammed the political war the Ukrainian leader has waged on Ukraine’s Russian speaking population and Orthodox Church: “Zelensky has declared war on Christianity. This is when [the Ukrainian secret service, the SBU] entered…the Ukrainian Church of the Moscow Patriarchate…”

How the American cultural establishment submits to Islam

by Giulio Meotti

A professor at Hamline University, Erika López Prater, showed a picture of the Prophet Mohammed in class. The decision sparked a storm on campus after students reported the incident and the university refused to renew the professor’s contract. The case took place during an art history lesson. The lecturer had shown images of two paintings of Muhammad from the 14th and 16th centuries.

Medieval works are considered canonical. The teacher had given a two-minute warning to the class beforehand so that observant Muslim students could choose not to view the material for religious reasons. The case was reported by the university’s Muslim Student Association, which described the lecturer as an “Islamophobe” in an email to staff.

Hamline president Fayneese S. Miller said respect for Muslim students “should have replaced academic freedom.” We are at this level now. What about respect for Catholic, Jewish or Hindu students?

The American cultural establishment behaves like the Saudis when it comes to Islam.

It is enough to recall “The Jewel of Medina”, the novel by the American Sherry Jones on the life of Mohammed’s third wife, censored and rejected by the book giant Random House after having bought it, after paying an advance to the author, and having already launched an ambitious campaign promotional.

In recent days, the television giant HBO has censored some episodes of South Park on Mohammed.

After the massacre of the editorial staff of the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, whose seventh anniversary is being celebrated these days, all the major American liberal newspapers, television networks and photo agencies, starting with the “Big Three” (Msnbc, Cnn and Ap) , vied with each other in justifying the decision to censor the cover of Charlie Hebdo, the one in which Mohammed is crying and saying “all is forgiven”.

Brandeis University has withdrawn the honorary degree from Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the most famous Islamic dissident, under security guard since 2004, now accused of “Islamophobia”.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has refused to exhibit the Danish cartoons for fear of attacks, but the editions of Yale University Press have gone one step further. They published the book by Jytte Klausen, “The Cartoons that shook the World”, dedicated to the history of Mohammed caricatures, without reproducing the cartoons! Self-censorship and intellectual dhimmitude has reached one of the most prestigious American universities, once one of the symbols of freedom of thought in the United States.

I repeat: The university editions of Yale have decided not to publish the Mohammed cartoons in a book that speaks, strange but true, precisely of the Mohammed cartoons. Not even the illustration of Dante’s Inferno by Gustave Doré.

In the case of Yale there is the aggravating circumstance of money. At Yale, Saudi Arabia has donated $10 million to create a Center for Sharia Studies. The Wahhabis, the custodians of Islam in Mecca, have funded chairs of Islam at Harvard, Georgetown, Columbia, Rice University, Arkansas and Berkeley, the major American academic centers. Saudi Arabia alone donated $650 million to American campuses from 2012 to 2018. Then there are funds from Qatar, the Emirates, Kuwait and other Muslim states.

Flemming Rose, the Danish journalist who first published the Mohammed cartoons and who has lived under guard ever since, took years to find an American publisher for his book, “The Tyranny of Silence”. He had to settle for the small Cato Institute. He said: “They hesitated because they were afraid of what would happen.”

No wonder the American academic world has shown no sympathy for Salman Rushdie, who lost an eye and a hand in a bombing last summer.

And just see what happened to Molly Norris, the Seattle Post cartoonist guilty of having published a cartoon about Mohammed, who became a “ghost”. She changed her name, and has never showed herself in publiic again. Nothing more is known about her after the FBI placed her in a witness protection program. One of its employers wrote to the Seattle Weekly: “She compares it to cancer. It could be nothing, it could be urgent, it could go away and never come back, or it could pop up again when one least expects it…” .

After the Rushdie case, we live in a new era, in which every publisher, academic, journalist, writer, editorial director and politician is self-censoring on Muslims. The “rules of Regensburg” and of the Pope who quoted a phrase from a Byzantine emperor about Mohammed and was lynched worldwide.

Clearly, Islam is winning.

Venice,Italy: “This madman was armed with a knife and shouting Allah, so I stopped him”; bus driver hailed as hero for preventing tragedy

He stood motionless with the dagger in his hands. He was looking out of the window and repeating incomprehensible sentences, they seemed to be addressed to no one, to the passers-by, it was impossible to understand him clearly. I only understood one word, repeated three times: “Allah, Allah”. Giuseppe Mazzone, 35, is a bus driver who the other night enabled the police to arrest a confused man armed with a knife who had boarded his bus in Venice. We were at the station,” he told Il Gazzettino, “I saw the passengers getting off one by one. Then I realised why: this man, a middle-aged foreigner, was standing there in plain sight with this knife, uttering these absurd sentences”.

When the bus started up again, Mazzone first called the operations centre but could not communicate: “I didn’t want to attract attention, I didn’t want to upset him. He kept staring at me, I was afraid he would hurt someone”. So he started driving again and continued towards Via Torino. At that moment, he called 112 using a code phrase: “Auntie, I’m here, the bus is in trouble”. A banal communication with a specific word to alert the police. The police cars responded to the call. “I told them I was stopping in front of the editorial office of the ‘Gazzettino’. They advised me to stop the bus immediately”. When he arrived at the agreed point, Mazzone stopped the bus. “I told the remaining passengers that it was better to get off – I did it because this man kept staring at me, I wanted to get out of this cage and get the other two to safety. Also because at this time, 7pm, there are usually a lot of people in this area: University students, commuters from the region. When we got out, I counted the seconds, I waited for the police to arrive”. Six uniformed men asked the man to show his knife and kneel down, but the man continued to look at them standing. At that moment, they pushed him to the ground and fixed him with the Taser (he had resisted as soon as the policemen approached).

His act provoked thunderous applause from politicians and those in charge of Venice’s public transport companies. First and foremost the President of the Region, Luca Zaia: “He has shown great professionalism, cold-bloodedness and an unusual ability to deal with an objectively dangerous situation. What the driver of a public transport company in Mestre did today is a real demonstration of citizenship, responsibility and competence. I thank him and congratulate him”.Il Gazzettino

India: 500 kg stale ‘Halal’ meat seized from Ernakulam – owner Junais absconding

Tsunami Chicken seized from Kalamassery, Ernakulam (Images courtesy India Posts)

On January 12, around 500 kg of rotten ‘Tsunami chicken’ kept for distribution to halal hotels was seized from Ernakulam. The rotten meat was confiscated from a rented house at Kaipadamugal near the defunct Kalamassery HMT Machine Tools Ltd. 150 kg of stale oil that looked like bitumen used in road construction was also seized during the inspection.

Both were used to make Arabic dishes like Shawarma, Alfaham and Mandi and distributed to various halal hotels in and around the city. Local residents no longer able to bear the stench of rotting flesh intimated the authorities, following which they were forced into action. The unlicensed establishment belonged to Junais, a native of Mannarkkad on the Malappuram-Palakkad border.

The stale meat was found during the inspection conducted by the Kalamassery Municipality Health Department. Officials who inspected the freezer said it smelled terrible as soon as it was opened. They claimed that this meat was bought and transported from Tamil Nadu. The entire stock was rotten.

Five non-Keralite employees were present at the time of the raid, but none of the managers or the owner were present. It is believed that corrupt health dept employees tipped them about the raid, but the owner did not have enough time to inform his employees to escape the crime scene.

Cut pieces and whole chicken were stored in plastic bags in three chest freezers. Only one freezer had an electrical connection. Spices were added to cooked meat on the bare floor. This was then loaded onto meat-holding rods and distributed. The meat seized had begun to rot, and flies were circling.

Kalamassery Circle Food Safety Officer M N Shamsia collected samples for testing. To allegedly save the halal mafia, such test results are never made public voluntarily.

Only Muslims are employed in shops that handle meat in Kerala. Such shady firms also have a habit of hiring non-Bharatiya Bangladeshis and Rohingyas with fake credentials. It allegedly helps owners avoid prosecution since once such employees are bailed out, they are as good as gone forever.

Health department officials and the local councilor claimed ignorance and said they did not know how such vast quantities of meat were stored and distributed without a food license. Officials said the seized meat would be destroyed, and the establishment operators would be fined heavily. Corporation vehicles transported the stale chicken to the Brahmapuram waste disposal facility. The Kerala government does not even have a protocol to dispose of such confiscated maggot-infested meat.

Earlier, there were multiple reports that low-priced stale meat was arriving for distribution to various hotels across the state. Since the past year, meat from Junais’s establishment has been supplied to numerous eateries. Employees informed officials that the same rotten meat was delivered to various hotels in Kochi on the morning of the raid. They were not confiscated.

The illegal unit at Kaipadamugal was sealed, and a notice informing that trespassers would face action under the Kerala Municipal Act was affixed. As protests grew, officials of the Department of Food Safety and the Health wing of the municipality claimed they would conduct a joint inspection to capture the culprits.

At the same time, the Kalamassery Municipality sought the help of the police to track down Junais. A.K. Nishad, chair of the Health Standing Committee, sent a letter to the Kalamassery Station House Officer to find restaurants using expired meat supplied by Junais.

A municipal council meeting was planned on January 16 to discuss follow-up action after the seizure of stale meat and unsafe food from the erring outlets. Political analysts say that such negligence shows that local politicians do not place a high premium on the well-being of the residents. A majority of Kalamassery councilors are from the so-called minority communities.

Tsunami Meat Menace

Tsunami chickens are those birds that die of diseases but are sold from bird farms. Allegedly, the halal mafia procures them at a low price. Authorities not checking whether it is dead or slaughtered helps this mafia.

Many years back vigorous checks were introduced to curb the tsunami meat trade, but the halal mafia has ensured that inspections have ceased. The situation was so bad that the sale of shawarma was banned in 2012, but it somehow bounced back. This time around, the green communist government is not even contemplating a blanket ban.

Tsunami chicken is cooked and served in bakeries and restaurants. In Kerala, a major chunk of the Arabic food industry allegedly thrives on this illegal trade. Many such eateries were allegedly owned by Popular Front of India (PFI) terrorists. They were easily recognizable from their black and yellow signboards and some shut down recently.

With the expansion of Arabic food eateries selling Shawarma, Alfaham, and Mandi in the cities, the demand for chicken meat also increased. When the price of chicken meat rose daily, some owners turned to Tsunami meat which is available at half the price. Still, chicken prices are not falling, and food prices are rising.

Authorities claim that diseased, dead chickens are allegedly transported to Kerala, mainly from Tamil Nadu. This is also how Avian influenza or Bird Flu reaches Kerala. This month, Bird flu has been confirmed in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kozhikode. It is most often contracted by contact with sick birds, is highly contagious, and is passed from person to person.

Tsunami meat is in demand as it costs less than 50 rupees per kg. It crosses the Tamil Nadu border by train and other means to avoid border checks. Wholesale distributors like Junais stock them at consolidated sales centers and distribute them to restaurants and snack manufacturing units. There are hundreds of similar illegal unlicensed outlets all over Kerala.

The Tsunami chicken mafia operates from isolated single houses. The meat arrives after dark and is delivered to the eateries before dawn. It then reaches citizens through hotels, roadside eateries, and bakeries. Corrupt officials also support this.

Though the Health and Food Safety Department know about such centers, activists allege that they avoid checks and are handsomely rewarded. Anyway, such operations do not have licenses. Authorities reluctantly arrive only when locals complain. They might even conduct farce tests in many places and allegedly return with a bribe. Experts fear this happened in Kalamassery, where the municipal health department seized 487 kg of rotting and stinking chicken meat.

Even as food poisoning from maggot-infested meat sold as halal wrecks havoc across Kerala, authorities refuse to punish the perpetrators. Meanwhile, politicians tried hard to justify the sale of stale meat by blaming other ingredients like mayonnaise, online ordering services, and even the media that reported the same. Such halal defenders and state employees allegedly stand to earn more during times of crisis.

Reporters associated with Asianet News, who are serial halal protectors, claimed that ‘suppliers from Tamil Nadu were to blame’ for the availability of Tsunami chicken in Kerala. They further added that most halal hotels had rented their Arabic food stalls to ‘cooks from north Bharat’. The aim is to deflect the allegations away from local hotel owners with zero morality onto others – with the much-derided ‘cow belt’ of the North being an easy punching bag.

Food poisoning has become a social evil, and many Keralites now avoid halal hotels like the plague. How authorities and elected members have responded is a story that HinduPost will try and cover in another article.

Hindus at Risk?

As for Hindus, we don’t have enough hotels to cater to our needs in Kerala. Non-Hindus run even many vegetarian outlets. This is also why many are forced to return to the same restaurants that sold Tsunami chicken to their customers once the controversy subsides.

Brave Hindu ladies like Thushara Ajith Kallayil, who did come forward to open Nandhus non-halal hotels, were assaulted and are nowhere to be seen. Even the politicians who supported them are now quiet.

Some Hindus that HinduPost spoke to claimed that ‘halal is better’! Experts opined that it happens when a lie is continuously drilled into their minds. When asked why our ancestors were healthier and lived well into the 80s (consuming jhatka meat), they don’t have an answer. Like hijab, halal came to Kerala around the 1990s only. There was no halal before that.

New organizations like jhataka.org are trying to revive the practice of eating healthy, hygienic and relatively painless jhataka meat, but government intervention is needed on a mass scale.

There are allegations that Tsunami meat is sold only to non-Muslims. In most recent food poisoning cases arising from consumption of this meat, victims have been almost entirely Hindu, and food poisoning cases are rarely reported from Muslim-majority Malappuram. Most Arabic food outlets have two separate meat-holding rods – is one meant for the ‘believers’ and other for ‘non-believers’, ask activists? When one orders online (zomato, uber, etc.), the customer’s identity flashes. When a Hindu visits a hotel, her bindi/ his tilak reveals their identity.

On 2 January, Rasmi Rajan (33), a native of Kottayam Kiliroor and a nursing officer at Kottayam Medical College Hospital, died after consuming chicken Alfaham bought from Malappuram Kuzhimandi restaurant, right in the middle of Kottayam town. On 20 December, nine-year-old Khyati Singh died after dining on a chicken Mandi near Kozhikode NIT. In May last year, 16-year-old Devananda Naryanana, who had eaten chicken shawarma from Kannur, died in Kasargod. All of them died of food poisoning.

Authorities quickly tried to blame ‘other causes’ for these deaths. Not a single owner was arrested. Who were they protecting, and more importantly, why? Hindu leaders pointed out that they were shielding the halal mafia. Interestingly, this did not stop many Hindus from continuing to frequent these biryani/shawarma joints.
