India: Muslim arrested for pretending to be Hindu, marrying a Hindu woman and forcing her to convert to Islam

The Madhya Pradesh Police arrested a person named Saharukh under the state’s anti-love jihad law for hiding his religious identity from a 25-year-old Hindu woman and sexually exploiting her for over 5 months. The accused also abused the woman and threatened her to convert her religion to Islam, as per the complaint. The Police registered a case against the accused and arrested him on November 2.

According to the reports, accused Shahrukh (29) who was already married, had introduced himself as a Hindu person named Raju to the victim woman. The incident is said to have happened around January in Rajasthan’s Udaipur district. The woman, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh had migrated with her friend to work as a housekeeping staff at a hotel in Udaipur.

The woman in the complaint confirmed that she met the accused when she had gone to Udaipur with her friend for a job. “On reaching the station, we booked an Ola cab to reach the hotel. Shahrukh was driving the vehicle. He introduced himself as Raju alias Rajkumar and tried to have a friendly conversation with us. We got acquainted and I started calling him every day to drop me from my residence to the hotel”, she said.

She added that they got married to each other after the accused proposed to her for marriage after three months or so. “We had become good friends in a short time as we used to meet daily. Later I realized that he liked me and also I had started liking him. He proposed to me for marriage one day and we got married after I agreed”, she stated. The accused and the victim got married seven months ago and started living together. The duo also registered their marriage in the court five months ago.

According to the woman, it is during the festival of Diwali that she discovered the truth about the accused. She discovered that her husband was a Muslim, his name was Shahrukh, and that he was already married to a Muslim woman. She also came to know that he was the father of two kids, one aged 7 and the other aged 4. “His wife had called during Diwali and I happened to talk to her. I told her that she had called the wrong number and that this cell phone number belonged to my husband Raju. But she argued and told me that the number belonged to her husband Shahrukh for years now. Later I checked his ID cards to discover that he was a Muslim and that I was cheated”, the victim woman was quoted.

On inquiring, the accused confessed that he was a Muslim and justified his crime by saying that a man is allowed to marry four women according to his religion. He also forced the victim to convert her religion to Islam and stay together with his family which included his first wife and two children. He also made her hostageand threatened her for life if she failed to accept Islam as her new religion.

The woman somehow managed to reach Indore and sought help from her family as the accused continued to threaten her over the phone. She also sought help from the members of the Hindu Jagran Manch and registered a Police complaint against the accused. The police then asked the woman to call the accused to Indore on the pretext of having a conversation, and later arrested him on November 2.

This is not the first case of grooming jihad that has been reported from the state of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier on October 29, in a similar case, the Madhya Pradesh Police had arrested a man identified as Sheikh Jahid under the state’s law against forced conversion attempts for hiding his religious identity from a Hindu woman and raping her for over 7 years. The accused had introduced himself as a Brahmin and had developed sexual relations with her.

Also, in August 2021, Aqib Ansari introduced himself as Aman Solanki to befriend a 21-year-old Hindu woman living on rent in his locality in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, Aqib also visited temples to assert his ‘Hindu identity.’ He promised to marry the woman and established a sexual relationship with her and later forced her to convert her religion to Islam. The Police then filed a case against Aqib under IPC Section 376, Atrocities Act and Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Ordinance, 2020 Act.

France: A high school is subjected to repeated and coordinated Islamist “destabilisation” attempts, intelligence warns – teacher threatened by Chechen pupil. “She will see what Allah does with such a woman”

The Bourdelle secondary school in Montauban is facing repeated violations of secularism. A video threatening a teacher was circulated on Tiktok. And a call to come to school on November 9 wearing “abayas or long dresses” has just necessitated an intervention by the pedagogical staff.

(…) Several internal documents obtained by Marianne magazine report “various incidents” at Bourdelle secondary school in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). The territorial intelligence services expressed concern about this in a note dated October 20. The academy had set up a special organisation for this day on November 9, while a call circulated for students to appear dressed in “abayas or long dresses”.

For several months, the high school has faced violations of the 2004 law on conspicuous religious symbols. “Since the beginning of the 2022 school year and in the months leading up to it, several of you have communicated to us your concerns about the reappearance of outfits that call into question our school’s compliance with the law of March 15, 2004,” reads a letter sent by the headmaster to his staff on October 10.

Even more disturbing, two sources from the Ministry of Education confirmed without further details that a teacher had been videotaped without her knowledge. According to a police source, a Chechen student who was caught putting her headscarf back on in class allegedly told her teacher, who called her to order, that she was a “racist”. She then gave her a speech saying “you will see what you will experience here”, referring to her father and brother. “The conversation was recorded by the student and circulated via TikTok,” our police source reported. At the end, she makes statements like “she will see what Allah will do to her”.” (…)

(…) “The actions of the young girls suggest that their demands are part of a concerted effort,” adds our police source, who speaks of disagreeing teachers: “There is a majority camp for the application of strict secularism and a camp, based on one teacher, for less strict secularism.”

Parents of murdered 12-year-old French girl Lola to attend march in her honor

The murder and rape of 12-year-old French girl Lola in October by an Algerian illegal migrant has shaken France and sparked a number of memorials and marches, as well as demonstrations against French President Emmanuel Macron’s pro-immigration policies. Now, the parents of the young victim have announced they plan to march in a demonstration in her honor, which will take place in the 19th arrondissement of Paris.

The exact date and venue should be provided by the end of this week, according to French news outlet BFMTV.

The body of the 12-year-old girl was found in a suitcase in Paris’ 19th arrondissement right near the building where she lived with her mother. A 24-year-old Algerian woman, known as Dhabia B., was arrested for the crime and told police she had been involved in past disputes with Lola’s mother. The young victim was reportedly sexually assaulted and tortured before her throat was slashed.

Right-wing groups and conservatives have already held a number of marches in Lola’s honor over the past month; in some cases, memorials put up for the young victim have already been torn down by vigilantes.

Following the murder, it was revealed that the Algerian migrant was subject to a deportation order, but she was never sent home. Despite Macron promising a 100 percent deportation rate, less than 6 percent of deportations have taken place. However, for Algerians like Dhabia B., that rate is only 0.2 percent.

National Rally leader Marine Le Pen lambasted Macron’s government following the murder, saying in the National Assembly, “What are you waiting for to finally stop this out-of-control illegal immigration?”

“Madame Prime Minister, on Friday, time stopped for a moment for every one of us. France was frozen by stupor, sadness, and horror upon learning of the torment of little Lola. The young girl that people took away in broad daylight, in the middle of Paris, in the worst possible way. The compassion of the country regarding her family makes everyone aware that it could be our family. This is profound.

“Once again, the suspect of this barbarous attack should not have been on our territory, and this was the case for more than three years. One time too many. And you will not be able to avoid the topic as you do in all circumstances and which the minister of justice has just done by shouting about recuperation and attacking with this hackneyed argument those who are outraged.

Too many crimes and offenses are committed by illegal immigrants that you did not want or failed to send back to their country of origin.”

Macron has said that the murder was an act of “evil” and his government has put together what it says are a number of initiatives that will speed up deportations. But critics say that the Macron government made similar claims following the beheading of history teacher Samuel Paty by a young Chechen Islamist, and since then, deportations have only fallen. Approximately 600,000 to 700,000 people are living in France illegally, and these foreigners have been greatly tied to France’s growing crime problem. Macron himself has admitted that half of all crimes in Paris are committed by foreigners, a claim supported by government statistics.

A trial for the murder of Lola is still expected to take place. Dhabia B. has been indicted for “murder and rape with an act of torture and barbarism on a minor under 15 years old” and imprisoned in Fresnes Prison, in Val-de-Marne. A 43-year-old man has also been charged in this case and placed under judicial supervision.

Lola’s funeral took place on Oct. 24 in Lillers, Pas-de-Calais, where her mother is from. Several hundred people attended the funeral as the victim was laid to rest.

The biggest lesson of the election: voters rewarded Republicans in statewide races who battled COVID lockdowns and vaccine mandates

By Thomas Lifson

Ron DeSantis is getting the lion’s share of national attention for his  sweeping victory that has turned Florida into a Republican bastion, adding almost 20 points to his margin of victory in 2018, when he barely won the governorship.  Amonghis pillars of support was his strong opposition to COVID shutdowns of businesses and schools and his opposition to vaccine mandates.

But 2 other statewide races on Tuesday featured incumbent candidates who vigorously fought against COVID shutdowns and mandatory vaccines. And in both races the incumbents won victories with even bigger margins than DeSantis.

In Kentucky, with 87% of the vote counted, Rand Paul is winning re-election to the Senate with a 22.8% margin, according to the AP:

Senator Paul’s spirited questioning of Dr. Fauci, using his expertise as a medical doctor who actually treats patients (unlike Fauci, who is a pure bureaucrat often masquerading in a lab coat) no doubt was on the mind of Kentucky’s voters.

In South Dakota, Governor Kristi Noem, who kept schools and businesses open in Siouth Dakota and saw the economy boom, had an even bigger margin of victory: 26.8% with 97% of the vote counted according to the AP.

It’s pretty obvious that a lot of Republicans failed to understand the depth of the public’s opposition to and anger over Covid authoritarianism. Since President Trump’s stand on whether or not he will run for president again is on many people’s minds this morning, consider that he bought into and relied on the advice of Drs. Fauci, Birx, Wallensky, and company.

This does not position him well for re-election, and if Ron DeSantis is his principal opponent for the GOP nomination, it will become a major issue for GOP voters.

Die Welt: Macron’s waning domestic powers show a French presidency in decline

Since June, Emmanuel Macron has been regarded as a French version of the American “lame duck.” It is his second and, at least now it seems, last term in office because he will not be allowed to run again in the 2027 elections. When he entered the big league on the political stage six years ago, he was a young, brash man with bold ambitions for France and Europe.

During his first term, the yellow vest crisis and then the pandemic threw a wrench in the works. The second term is proving even more difficult. Not only has he lost his majority in parliament, he has also had to face the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine, the energy crisis, and spiraling inflation; these challenges make the first term seem like a harmless warm-up for the currrent domestic and foreign policy triathlon. Many are already asking what political legacy the once-ambitious president will leave behind.

On the international stage, Macron may still cut a fine figure, but domestically in France, he looks weaker than ever.

“I have no intention of losing my authority within six months,” Macron assured a small circle of his most important ministers at a recent dinner at the Elysée Palace. The only question is how he can succeed.

On the budget, his head of government has failed. Next year, she wants to push through a pension reform that could raise the retirement age by two to three years. This was already high on Macron’s agenda in 2017. The president argues fairness between generations, but recent polls show that the majority of French people stubbornly refuse to retire at 64, or possibly 65, like other Europeans.

“Halloween of public finances”

The recent budget debate revealed that right-wing and left-wing populists are much closer than they claim. Whereas before the summer break, MPs from the left-green Nupes had refused to play a joint soccer match with their right-wing populist colleagues, they are now forming an unheard-of alliance.

On both the right and the left, Macron is being labeled “the president of the rich.” The budget of €490 billion (2.6 percent less than the previous year) has been criticized as inadequate, which is why 3,349 amendments have been tabled. Across political parties, there were also calls to tax excess profits, make higher-earners pay more, or reintroduce the wealth tax.

Before the summer recess, Macron and his government team had invoked the German culture of compromise, but there is no sign of that anymore. In view of the blockade in parliament, the president is now threatening dissolution and new elections.

It is quite possible that this is just a political bluff, as polls suggest that the right-wing populists, in particular, would benefit. It is most certainly a means of exerting pressure on the liberal-conservatives. The 62 deputies from The Republicans (LR) know that after new elections, they would have even fewer seats.

NGO-rescue-ship row sparks tension between Italy, France

The tough stance Premier Giorgio Meloni’s government has adopted on NGO-run search-and-rescue (SAR) ships has sparked tension between Rome and Paris, with the French government blasting Italy’s refusal to allow the Ocean Viking carrying 234 asylum seekers to dock in an Italian port.
The Ocean Viking was heading to French territorial waters on Wednesday after Italy ignored its appeals for a port of safety for around three weeks following rescues of people in the southern Mediterranean.
“The ship is currently in Italian territorial waters, there are extremely clear European rules that were accepted by the Italians,” French government spokesman Olivier Veran was quoted as saying by AFP.
He added that “the current attitude of the Italian government, notably its declarations and refusal to accept the ship,” was “unacceptable.” On Tuesday the Italian authorities finally allowed around 250 asylum seekers to leave two other NGO-run ships, Humanity 1 and the Geo Barents.
They docked in Catania at the weekend but the government initially only allowed people considered vulnerable to land and had told the ships to return to international waters with the others still on board.
SOS Méditerranée, the French NGO that runs the Ocean Viking, has said it should reach international waters off Corsica by Thursday after its appeals to Italy for a port of safety were met with “deafening silence”.
“We are still off the coast of Sicily, but we are moving towards Corsica where there is the first port of safety, excluding those of Italy, which did not assign us one,” SOS Méditerranée activists on the ship said.
“We will leave the Italian SAR zone and reach French waters and it has not been ruled out that Marseilles could be the final destination”.
On Tuesday Meloni thanked France for “sharing the responsibility of the migratory emergency, which up to now has been on the back of Italy and a few other States” after it was reported Paris had agreed to accept the Ocean Viking.
“The immigration emergency is a European issue and it should be address as such,” she said.
