Shots fired at the rabbi’s house near the synagogue in Essen, Germany

Four shots from a sharp weapon were found in the rabbi’s house near the old synagogue in Essen.

There is no danger, nobody was injured, the police said on Friday.

The building houses an institute for German-Jewish history.

According to a police spokesman, witnesses reported the bullet holes around 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

It was initially unclear when the shots were fired

.

“We strongly believe it was sometime during the night when nobody was there,” the spokesman said.

There are video recordings from a camera filming the square, showing a person who is said to have committed the crime.

According to the police spokesman, the shots hit a glass front door.

The frame was damaged and there were shots through the pane.

Based on the evidence, it is now clear that it was a live firearm.

The police had an explosives detection dog on duty.

North Rhine-Westphalia’s Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) visited the crime scene on Friday afternoon.

According to a city spokeswoman, the rabbi’s house is not used by the Jewish community.

It is right next to the synagogue building.

According to the city, the Salomon Ludwig Steinheim Institute for German-Jewish History with archive and library as well as rooms of the University of Duisburg-Essen are housed in the Rabbinerhaus.

The Salomon Ludwig Steinheim Institute researches the history and culture of Jews in German-speaking countries.

Today the Old Synagogue is the House of Jewish Culture in Essen, a cultural institute in the city.

The place of worship for the city’s Jewish community is the new synagogue just outside the center.

According to a city spokeswoman, the Old Synagogue has exhibitions and events on Jewish history.

The religious community also meets there on special occasions, for example to commemorate the pogrom night of November 9, 1938. At that time, the old synagogue and the rabbi’s house were set on fire and the interior destroyed.

Due to an abstract danger, the police are always on site during the opening hours of the Old Synagogue – as is usual with objects with a Jewish connection.

It cannot happen here?

By Robert Arvay

In the 1930s, good people in Russia, Germany, and Japan watched in horror and disbelief as each nation was led downward into the darkest recesses of depravity.  Each day, there were glimmers of hope that matters might be reversed, that the people would regain their senses and reject the extremist ideologues who were enacting destructive policies, but each day, matters grew progressively worse.  How did it feel to witness that?  Perhaps we shall get a taste.

The governments grew so powerful that they co-opted the functions of parents and brought into their service even small children.  The state, not the parent, was to be obeyed.

The analogy between the 1930s and the 2020s is not perfect, but the parallels are unmistakable.  A relatively few people in power can exert disproportionate influence over a society and lead it to destruction.  Once a core of acolytes is in place, it is a matter of technique to insert thousands more into various key positions — turning the news media into a propaganda arm of the ruling party, controlling critical infrastructure, commanding industry, and effectively saturating officialdom with bureaucrats who do the dirty work.

In the 1930s, this was not accomplished without opposition, even violent opposition, to the edicts of the slave-masters.  Many dissidents were assassinated; hundreds were killed in the streets by government thugs; and many thousands more were imprisoned, often never to be heard from again.  In the end, the governments imposed their will.

The régimes, having looted their own economies, blamed their political enemies for the shortfalls.  To compensate for their domestic failures, Japan and Germany (and to some extent, Russia) turned to foreign conquest, plundering neighboring nations for their produce.  In doing so, they led a generation of their young men to slaughter and condemned their great cities to fiery ruin.  Misery was inflicted on historical scales.

By the end those decades, the tyrannies of the Axis were finally brought to heel by their civilized foes, foes who showed mercy — mercy to the merciless.  The despots could not have been more fortunate in their choice of enemies.

Today, however, the enemies of the Western civilizations are not civilized, nor are they merciful.  Abroad, they are murderous terrorists.  At home, they are often, as yet, content to “cancel” their opponents, although already they have shown a propensity to imprison them, casting aside the notion of “innocent until proven guilty” and using pre-trial detention as a form of pre-trial punishment.

The most baffling factor in all this is the willful ignorance of millions of voters who, watching the value of their money deteriorate, cheer on the embezzlers, applauding those who are casting us into poverty.  Who, watching the insanity of unpunished criminality, a policy that bankrupts retail businesses, return the enablers to office so they can do more of the same.  Who, seeing their children exposed to displays of sexual perversion by government, reelect the groomers.  It is both amazing and disheartening.  How could this happen?  How did it?

There is no rational way to explain such irrational obeisance to our abusive government.  Decades of careful cultivation by the so-called education establishment is surely a major factor, but the number of adults who have witnessed two years of the worst “I told you so” in recent history, and yet have voted to continue it, is inexplicable.  To this day, many of them deny that Biden’s wrecking-ball policies have anything to do with the higher prices that we were warned would occur if he took office.  Their disconnect from reality defies explanation.  It is pointless to attempt to discuss it with them, because they almost instantly revert to mindlessly accusing critics of being “Nazis,” racists, and “election deniers.”

In the 1930s, the rise of dictatorships was witnessed by such leftist historians as Harold Rugg, whose works contain the prescient warning (in 1932!) of “a second world war.”  Placing oneself mentally back into those days, without the present benefit of our hindsight, one could well imagine how it felt, to watch helplessly as the totalitarians of that era rose to power, consolidated their control of the populace, and then led them into unimaginable atrocities.  What at first seemed could never happen, eventually seemed inevitable and unstoppable.  The wicked ones marched from victory to victory, trampling all who stood in their way.

How far will the present madness of government go?  We see it becoming more and more out of control, ruling over us with little or no accountability for its disastrous practices.  Every time we think it can get no worse, it does.  Every time we think the American people will wake up, too many of them sleep-walk, chanting their meaningless slogans, worshiping Mammon and Baal.

As President Reagan warned us, there is no place else for democracy to go; we are its last and best hope.  Can we, unlike the unfortunate Germans, Russians, and Japanese of 1932, turn this around?  Is any task more urgent?

India: Mosque caretaker booked for converting Hindu man to Islam taking advantage of his problems

Akshay Gaur (Image: ANI)

On Friday (November 18), in Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa district, the caretaker of a mosque was booked on the charges of forcefully converting a Hindu man named Akshay Gaur to Islam. On Thursday evening, police said they had filed a case against Alim Ameenudin Qadri of Khandwa’s Noorani Mosque under relevant sections of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act and the Indian Penal Code.

Notably, the accused has not been arrested yet. Akshay Gaur of Prabhu Prem Puram locality filed a police complaint alleging that Alim Qadri converted him to Islam taking advantage of his family problems.

On Thursday victim Akshay Gaur told the media that he went to Nagchun five months ago as he was stressed over a family feud. Akshay met the accused Alim Ameenudin Qadri of Noorani Masjid there, who asked him to accept Islam claiming that it would bring him peace and help him get rid of his problems, he added.

“After that, I began offering Namaz and accepted Islam as a religion,” he explained. Gaur further said, “He also threatened me that I will go to hell and burn in hellfire (Dozakh Ki Aag) if I did not follow Islam. He told me that if I follow Islam, I will receive everything and reach Jannat. After that, I began offering Namaz at home on a regular basis. In addition, I began to spread Islam and send messages to my relatives.”

“I later changed my name from Akshay Gaur to Mohammad Fahim Khan and announced it on Facebook.” When my Hindu friends found out about it, they called me and persuaded me for three days. “They helped me get rid of the illusion I was caught in,” he added.

He then went to the City Superintendent of Police (CSP) office and filed a complaint against the conversion, he said.

“A youth Akshay Gaur has lodged a complaint against a Muslim cleric,” Khandwa Superintendent of Police (SP) Vivek Singh said after receiving the complaint. The matter is being investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.”

On Thursday evening, the police stated that an FIR was registered at Moghat Road police station under sections 3 (prohibition of unlawful religious conversion) and 5 (imprisonment for 1 to 5 years for prohibited unlawful religious conversion) of the Freedom of Religion Act and section 295 A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings) of the IPC on the basis of the victim’s complaint.

French government slammed after 26 of 44 Ocean Viking minors escape migrant center

Just 18 of the 44 unaccompanied minors on-board the Ocean Viking rescue ship that docked in France last week remain under supervision, French news outlet Le Figaro reported.

The 234 migrants on board the humanitarian vessel run by French-financed NGO SOS Méditerranée disembarked at the French port of Toulon, where they were taken by coach to a holiday camping center in Hyères to be processed.

It is understood that 44 claimed to be under the age of 18 and were traveling alone; however, French media reports that 26 of these have already given their supervisors the slip and are now missing.

Le Figaro’s information was confirmed by the Les Républicains president of the Var Department Council, Jean-Louis Masson, who told the newspaper: “Three of the 44 minors had already run away the next day.”

“This (Thursday) morning, 23 more minors are missing, for a total of 26 defections,” he added.

The newspaper noted that most of those in question are Eritreans who have likely opted to leave France and join family or acquaintances in Germany, Norway, or Sweden.

“We don’t have the manpower to hold them back ,” Masson explained. According to him, “these older teenagers” have clearly acted illegaly.

Just a week ago, Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin told French broadcasters that the immigrants “won’t be able to leave the administrative center.”

Regarding the remainder of the Ocean Viking contingent, four have already walked free due to procedural defects, while 44 are understood to be set for deportation from France, although government ministers have been unable to give a timeframe as to when this will occur.

Executive Vice President of the Reconquête party Marion Maréchal slammed the French government for allowing this to happen.

“Four illegal immigrants have benefited from a procedural defect and are free; 26 of the 44 ‘minors’ have already run away,” she tweeted. “Darmanin controls absolutely nothing and ridicules our country,” Maréchal added.

Marine Le Pen also weighed in, tweeting that the French government had been “humiliated” and the French people “see once again that all of this is out of control.”

Darmanin said earlier this week that just 60 of those who arrived in France from the vessel will be allowed to claim asylum in France, with the remaining eligible for asylum to be redistributed across Europe.

India: Muslim posed as Hindu to trap a Hindu girl, forcibly converted her to Islam

Accused Mehmood Khan Image credit: Dainik Bhaskar

Yet another shocking case of love jihad and forced religious conversion has beenreported in Uttar Pradesh’s Baharaich. Mehmood Khan, posing as Raunak Chaurasia, lured a Hindu girl. Following that, he sexually abused the girl for two years, recorded her private video, and blackmailed her.

The accused is a resident of Risiya Gudni Basai in Baharaich. Upon knowing the real identity of Mehmood Khan, the victim confronted the accused. Mehmood Khan threatened to make the victim’s private video viral and forcefully converted the Hindu girl to Islam and had Nikah rituals performed.

Mehmood used to assault the victim repeatedly. Eventually, the victim reached Alambagh Police Station and lodged a complaint against the accused.

Acting upon the victim’s complaint, Alambagh police arrested Mehmood Khan. Police informed that Mehmood Khan lived in Manaknagar for the past 7 years and was doing a private job.

In her statement, the victim stated that Mehmood Khan entrapped her in his ‘love’ by pretending to be a Hindu, with a fake name Raunak Chaurasia and established sexual relations with her. The victim further said that Mehmood chopped her hair, assaulted her, and threw her out of the house. He also threatened to kill the victim if she dares to file a police complaint.

As per a TimesNow Navbharat report, the accused was already married and has two children from his first wife. Mehmood Khan created two fake Facebook profiles. On one profile he posted the victim’s picture and abused her.

Shivshankar Mahadevan, the inspector in charge of Alambagh, stated that “the victim girl had a dispute with Mehmood many times before.” A panchayat meeting was also held to resolve the matter. They had both married and had been living together for two years. A case has been registered under relevant sections based on the girl’s complaint. The accused has been arrested and is being questioned.
