Jammu and Kashmir DGP (Prisons) Hemant Kumar Lohia was found dead under mysterious circumstances with throat slit and burn marks on his body on October 3, Monday. Terror group People’s Anti-Fascist Force (PAFF), an offshoot of Pakistan-headquartered terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the murder.

Prima facie it had appeared to be a case of murder and his domestic help Yasir Lohar was believed to be the primary suspect. On Tuesday, October 4, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested the 23-year-old Yasir in connection with the DG’s murder.

It was reported that Yasir first suffocated the DG to death, then used a broken ketchup bottle to slit his throat, and later tried to set his body on fire before fleeing the crime scene.

Multiple media houses reported about the arrest but did not fail to mention how Yasir, who brutally killed the police officer was ‘mentally unstable.’ The reports extensively spoke about a so-called personal diary of the accused that revealed that he had a ‘depressed’ mind fixated on death.

Well, this is not the first case where this ‘mental instability’ trope has been used to downplay a crime where evidently the perpetrator belongs to a particular community. It is a time-tested formula that keeps resurfacing from time to time. Be it the attack on the Gorakhnath temple or the incident in Telangana where two Muslim women wearing burqa tried to damage temple and church idols, the corporate English media, the left-liberals, Islamists, and their apologists, have been unrelenting in their use of the ‘mental illness’ trope to justify Muslim-committed crimes.

It is almost like a new addition to their old strategy wherein they cherry-pick cases in which the victim-perpetrator equation suits their narratives. It is essentially tailor-made to show Muslims as overwhelmingly the victims and Hindus overwhelmingly as the perpetrators. Thus, creating a false perception among minorities that they are under attack from ‘fascist’ Hindus with active cooperation from the state machinery.

Below we list a few such cases where ‘mental instability’ has been blamed for crimes committed by people belonging to the Muslim community. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, but rather an indicative one.

2 burqa-clad Muslim ‘mentally unstable’ women vandalised the idol of goddess Durga at a Navratri pandal in Hyderabad

Last week, two Muslim women were detained for reportedly vandalising the idol of goddess Durga at a Navratri pandal in Hyderabad. The ladies barged into a pandal in the city’s Khairatabad locality and smashed a portion of the Durga statue, according to Hyderabad Police. When a local tried to stop them, one of the ladies attacked him with a metallic tool. Prior to this, the ladies had also vandalised a statue of Mother Mary outside a nearby church.

Many news outlets covered the incident, although some, understandably, focused on how the two ladies were “mentally disturbed”. Media houses like Deccan Chronicle and TOI focused on how the accused’s brother Asimduddin claimed that his mother and sister were schizophrenic.

Essentially, the liberal media attempted to propagate the narrative that the two Muslim ladies who desecrated the Hindu statue did so because they were mentally ill. The point here is, if these offenders actually have a mental illness, how can they carry out such zealous hate-filled crimes against Hindus? Thanks to the leftist media, mental instability is becoming a well-planned alibi for such hate crimes.

Jharkhand’s Rameez Ahmed breaks into Hanuman temple, vandalises idol, Police claims accused is ‘mentally unstable’

Moving on, OpIndia reported how on the night of September 27, a man identified as Rameez Ahmed broke into Bhagwan Hanuman temple in the Hindpuri Police Station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, and vandalised the idol there.

Ahmed was subsequently arrested by the police. Notably, the police had claimed that Ahmed is mentally unstable. The locals are reportedly not satisfied with the reasoning provided by the police.

Gorakhnath temple attack wherein media tried to portray that the accused Abbasi, an ISIS sympathiser, was actually not a terrorist but merely mentally unstable

As we delve further into this topic, the Gorakhnath Temple attack deserves a special mention, given how the corporate English media simply glossed over the seriousness of what the investigators were unearthing, almost on a daily basis.

Ahmed Murtaza Abbasi, on the 3rd of April 2022, screamed Allahu Akbar and tried to enter the Gorakhnath Temple. Wielding a knife that he intended to use, Abbasi injured two cops in the tussle that followed. Several revelations came to the fore after he was apprehended and an investigation was launched. The most important revelation was that Abbasi had taken an oath of allegiance to ISIS.

With an intent to execute terrorist activities, the accused used to read online articles and watch videos on the internet related to weapons like the AK-47 rifle, M4 Carbine, and missile technology. 

Since 2013, Abbasi was involved with ISIS, therefore, by all accounts, he was a hardened terrorist who was merely looking for the right opportunity to unleash Jihad on Kafirs.

But what was the narrative in the media? Firstly, the corporate English media hardly discussed this case with the seriousness it deserved. Those who did, tried their best to allege that Abbasi was actually not a terrorist but merely mentally unstable. His father asserted the same, rather vehemently. Later, a doctor confirmed that Abbasi was mentally fit and there was no sign that he was unstable.

Muslim youth held in Agra for vandalising Hindu idols to allegedly stoke communal tension, news agency claims he was ‘mentally challenged’

In 2018, a case of idol vandalism in a Hindu temple had been reported from the Shahganj region of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. It was reported how the accused had vandalised a Hanuman and Durga idol to instigate communal tensions. The devotees then caught hold of the individual reportedly trying to flee the temple premises, who when questioned identified himself as Sonu Khan. 

As per a tweet by ANI, the accused was assaulted by the locals after being tied to a tree, following which he was handed over to the police. The news agency claimed that the accused was “mentally challenged”.

‘Mentally unstable’ Yasir desecrates Hindu temple in Jammu

Similarly, in 2016, a youth from a particular community barged into the temple at Janipur in Jammu, threw stones at windowpanes, and tried to damage the idol. The miscreant was identified as Yasir, a resident of Doda town in Jammu. Several media outlets were ready to play the ‘mentally disturbed’ card in this case as well because the offender clearly belonged to their preferred community. The Hindu reported the incident with the headline: ‘Mentally unstable’ youth desecrates Jammu temple.

The report’s headline precisely matched the narrative that the media outlet intended to push, which was that the crime was obviously not intentional but committed because the accused, here too a Muslim youth, was mentally unstable.

An organisation supporting LGBTQIA+ has erected a model of the Kaaba in the city of Kassel in Germany in the colours of the gay flag.

The city council had refused to erect the statue, but the organisers of the event filed a lawsuit and obtained a court order to erect the statue to address gay Muslims who face harsh penalties in their countries, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A former NHS nurse has sparked outrage for claiming that people who vote Conservative do not deserve to be resuscitated by those working for Britain’s publicly funded healthcare provider.

Speaking as an audience member on Jeremy Vine’s Channel 5 show, “Britain on the Brink,” Miranda Hughes said that if you have voted Conservative, you do not deserve to be resuscitated by the NHS.

“That is harsh,” she later admits after slamming government healthcare policy and lamenting a lack of resources available to “compassionate” NHS nurses.

The woman in question said she had previously been an NHS nurse but found the job too much. “I could not handle the emotional stress of not being able to deliver for my patients. You are squeezed to a point where you cannot treat people the way you want to treat them,” she told the political show.

She later backtracked on her comment and insisted she would attempt to save the life of a Conservative voter, but insisted: “It is appalling the way we have been treated.”

Hughes describes herself on social media as: “European. Anti-Tory. Nurse. Mum. Cat appreciator. Amdram queen. Repeat dieter and food lover.”

Critics took to social media to hit back at the alarming statement.

“Tories locked the country down to protect the ‘nurse’ who thinks Tory voters shouldn’t be resuscitated,” said GB News presenter Patrick Christys.

Former Sky News presenter Colin Brazier said the comment “crosses several lines,” while journalist and former Brexit Party MEP Martin Daubney said: “Politics in Britain has never been uglier. The Left is out of control.”

Other social media users likened the remark to divisive clothing worn by Labour MP Lucy Powell at Manchester Pride in August, when the shadow secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sports wore a t-shirt which read: “Never kissed a Tory.” Many believed it was unnecessarily provocative and not conducive to cooling tensions among Britain’s political divide.

The next Italian government will be staunchly behind efforts at the EU level to stop speculation on energy prices, Brothers of Italy (FdI) leader Giorgia Meloni said on Tuesday.
    “The energy crisis is a European issue and it should be addressed as such,” Meloni, who looks set to become Italy’s first woman premier after FdI spearheaded the right coalition to victory in last month’s general election, said via Facebook.
    “FdI and the (European) Conservatives say that the real job of the EU should be to manage the major continental challenges that are difficult to address for individual member States.

Melissa Fleming has a bachelor’s in German studies and a master’s in broadcast journalism. These degrees equipped the former journalist to become the head of the United Nations Department of Global Communications. From that august bureaucratic propaganda position, she just announced to a World Economic Forum panel that the UN and Google “own the science.”

Old-fashioned people like myself understand that science is a process. You propose a theory, you carefully construct an experiment that will isolate the truth or falsity of that theory, and then you hold the result of your experiment out to the world for it to be replicated (then it’s probably good) or challenged (bad theory, very, very bad).

Scientists are not a process. They are humans who make mistakes, who have or lack morals, who let their egos get in the way, and who are limited by the technology and knowledge of the era in which they live.

Over the years, scientists have come out with some very bad theories that could not hold up to the scientific process. Here’s just a short list of horrible ideas that scientists have had over the centuries: Meat hatches flies, bleeding improves people’s health, bad air causes disease, non-White races and Jews are biologically inferior, ulcers are not caused by bacteria, the earth is the center of the universe, and people can magically change their sex.

The process consistently yields new results because it has new variables: Sometimes those variables are observable facts, sometimes they’re amazing individuals with new ideas, and sometimes they’re the result of an accretion of knowledge or technical ability. Nothing is stagnant, and no one has a lock on the science or, when it’s done correctly, the results.

But try telling that to the bureaucrats at the UN. Whether its climate change(which has seen every doom-and-gloom prediction proven wrong, scientists alter facts, and everyone ignoring natural climate cycles), COVID (here’s a short list of leftist errors), or gender (which ignores biology and offers only theory), the leftist bureaucrats who populate the Un have been wrong about everything.

However, the UN apparatchiks understand something that we, who believe in the scientific process, struggle to recognize: It’s not the process that matters; it’s access to information. And that, Melissa Fleming, with her German and journalism majors, completely understands. At a World Economic Forum panel on “disinformation,” Fleming stated explicitly that the process is irrelevant; it’s power that counts (emphasis mine):

So we’re becoming much more proactive. We own the science, and we think that the world should know it, and the platforms themselves also do.”

Truth? No. The scientific process? No. Facts? No. All that matters is raw power. What should terrify all of us is that the UN’s chief propagandist is no longer ashamed to admit it.

On October 1, six Hindu students were attacked by four accused, identified as Rathod Amin Gulab Nabi, Nizami Moin Nurmahammad, Ganchi Amanbhai Firozbhai and Chauhan Mahamadnuman Mahamadhanif, for objecting to Islamic songs being played during a Garba event at BK Patel Arts & Commerce College of Savli in Vadodara. The four accused attacked the Hindu students with iron belts and stones.

As per reports, a Garba event was organised inside the college premises on Saturday. There were around 150 students at the event. During the snack break, the four accused Muslim students went to the DJ and asked him to play Islamic songs. The DJ did as asked. The other college students objected and said as Navratri was a Hindu festival, it was not appropriate to play Islamic songs during the event.

The four accused got agitated and started abusing the Hindu students and threatened them. The principal and staff immediately intervened and pacified the situation for a while. However, a BA final year student identified as Vishvajitsinh Rajendrasinh Mahida was stopped by the accused while he was going home with his friends after the event and attacked with an iron belt and stones.

Other students who were accompanying him were identified as Yuvraj Dineshbhai Vaghela, Harpalsinh Rajendrasinh Jadav, Yogesh Somsinh Mahida, Rutviksinh Surendrasinh Mahida, Ghanshyamsinh Surendrasinh Mahida. All six students sustained injuries. As the crowd gathered, the four accused escaped the scene. A criminal case under relevant sections was registered by the police against the four accused.

A Margaret Thatcher she is not.

Liz Truss, the U.K.’s new prime minister, billed herself to the public as that, but the mess she’s made of the British economy, which includes a cave-in on a proposed tax cut, is pretty much the opposite of What Thatcher Would Do.

According to Fox News:

The U.K. is canceling plans to impose a major tax cut for the nation’s top tax bracket following widespread frustration and market chaos, U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss announced Monday.

Truss’ plan had called for eliminating the U.K.’s highest tax bracket, resulting in a major cut for citizens making more than $168,000 annually. Truss and her government stood against criticism of the plan for weeks, arguing that it would create economic growth amid fears of a recession.

She nevertheless backed down on the plan with a Monday tweet.

“We get it and we have listened,” she wrote. “The abolition of the 45pc rate had become a distraction from our mission to get Britain moving. Our focus now is on building a high growth economy that funds world-class public services, boosts wages, and creates opportunities across the country.”

Get what? What on earth is she talking about? Can you imagine Lady Thatcher telling the rabid leftists as she caved to their demands something like: “We get it”?

Eeew.

Aside from that, the whole thing pretty much stinks any way you look at it. A planned elimination of the 45% tax bracket for people making the U.S. equivalent of $168,000 a year or more is hardly a tax cut for “the rich,” it’s a badly needed tax cut on the private sector to ensure the creation of small businesses and the jobs that go with it as the COVID-hangover recession approaches. Truss wasn’t up to fighting for that as the left hollered about it.

But it also wasn’t a terribly good plan. A good tax break plan ought to affect the entire population, not just the upper middle class segment. Throwing it out there and then letting the left yell about tax cuts for the rich is Doing It Wrong. What horrible planning these people have initiated.

It gets worse. The left also is yelling about the Truss budget’s plan to increase borrowing. Truss, it seems, wants to spend more government money for “infrastructure” and will need to borrow to do it. That’s pure Joe Biden, and with the U.K. battling scary high inflation already, it’s time to cut the size of government immediately and throw some ice on the overheated government money-printing presses. 

Truss, in other words, is willing to throw out the tax cut, but not willing to throw out the government spending plans. What’s wrong with this picture?

It’s obviously a complicated picture, and there are probably some mitigating factors for the kind of pressure Truss is under, among which is market turmoil in the past week.

But it’s wimpery at its worst, the most un-Lady Thatcher-like of behavior, and one that is sure to keep Britain’s Tories plunging in the polls which is what’s going on right now.

Britain needs tax cuts, an unleashing of Britain’s energy industry, and a hard, tough leader who can say ‘no’ to the left and articulate why it’s not getting what it wants. Republicans in the states, take note, because the Truss ship appears to be sinking

Truss, thus far, isn’t up to the task. Let’s hope she rethinks some of these lessons before the Tories are completely obliterated in a coming leftist wave. If she can’t learn that, let’s hope the coming Republicans in the states can and not make the same mistakes twice.
