Industrialist: ‘The Americans control everything in the background’

German industrialist Wolfgang Grupp, the CEO of textile giant Trigema, does not understand why Germans suddenly see Vladimir Putin as a mortal enemy. He believes that the US is controlling everything in the background and are the only winners of this war.

The head of the textile manufacturer has taken a stand on the Ukraine war in an interview with BW24.de. Grupp told the portal, “I don’t understand how you can be best friends with Mr Putin for 20 years, be 100 percent dependent on him and within two months you are mortal enemies! That doesn’t make sense.”

Something must have been going on for some time, Grupp suggested. The company patriarch believes that “the Americans are controlling everything in the background so that it remains a world power.” The US, he said, was the only winner in this war.

Grupp: ‘Supplying weapons to Ukraine with great fanfare’

Grupp goes on to say in the interview: “If we deliver weapons to Ukraine with great fanfare for billions and at the same time say: No problem, the citizens and the economy have to pay for it. These are statements that I cannot understand.” He said he had never experienced “ending a dispute by giving one a bigger knife and the other a bigger axe.”

Grupp instead insists on negotiations with Putin. Otherwise, he said, the war could not be ended. His company, said the entrepreneur, has a high financial burden due to the war. Recently he said in an interview with FOCUS online that his costs for gas had increased tenfold in the past two years. He told BW24.de that he was being “punished” for switching to gas.

No slave labour

The textile industry has been mired in controversy because it uses slave labour, overseas sweatshops and a “fast fashion” business model that encourages huge waste and unsustainable consumption. Grupp has avoided these issues through a long-term commitment to manufacturing textiles entirely in Germany – and more specifically, in Burladingen, Schwabia, where its factory is based.

Unlike the vast majority of other textile firms and international clothing brands, Trigema does not outsource any of its production overseas and only imports responsibly sourced cotton. Trigema has been wholly owned by Grupp for more than 50 years.

Grupp is free to voice such an opinion because being the sole owner using 100 percent of his own capital means Grupp is not beholden to any influence from banks or shareholders. It is Germany’s largest manufacturer of t-shirts, sweatshirts and tennis clothing.

‘Old values’

Grupp is considered a man of conservative values such as responsibility, respect and decency. He is personally liable for Trigema – which is somewhat of a rarity these days.

With reference to current corporatist notions, the company patriarch, who turned 80 this year, explained: “Cash in when things are going well and leave losses to the taxpayer in difficult times, that certainly shouldn’t be done!

“Our world is so crazy. I appreciate the old values, I’m traditional. I am responsible for everything, I guarantee jobs.”

Greens bring ‘war and poverty’

The Scholz administration is clinging to its ideological aberrations. In a bill intended to implement an EU directive, the Treasury Department earlier underwrote a 66 billion loan authorization for KfW to provide support to energy companies.

The KfW is a German state-owned investment and development bank, based in Frankfurt. As of 2014, it is the world’s largest national development bank and Germany’s third largest bank in terms of its balance sheet.

Martin Reichardt, AfD state chairman of Saxony-Anhalt and member of the federal executive board, exposed the government’s justification for the additional credit authorization as scandalous: “The credit authorization is necessary so that the confidence of business and the public in the federal government’s packages of measures is not damaged.” The damage to citizens however is huge.

“Those who vote for the Greens choose war and poverty,” according to Reichardt.

The crisis is picking up speed

Fifty  percent of trading companies are threatened by the government’s policies. Every second company in Germany is now facing existential hardships. This was the result of a recent survey by the German Retail Association (HDE) among 900 companies in the retail sector.

The main reason for the development is energy costs, which have risen by an average of 150 percent since the beginning of the year. Stefan Genth, General Manager of the HDE, explains: “On the one hand, energy prices are rising enormously, on the other hand, most of them cannot simply pass the costs on to customers due to the tough competition.”

In addition, there are the additional cost increases due to the Russia sanctions – they too are a direct consequence of the policy of the federal government.

Only 14 percent of those surveyed can add some or all of the rising energy costs to consumer prices. Almost a quarter of the survey participants expect to have to close their own business within the next twelve months. The situation is particularly tense among bicycle dealers, dealers in household appliances and consumer electronics.

Meanwhile, the food industry is already warning of the acute danger of food shortages. “There are significant supply gaps in the daily food supply for people in Germany. The situation is more than serious,” an open letter from the industry warned, which was initiated by the German Frozen Food Institute (DTI) and the Association of German Cold Stores and Cold Logistics Companies (VDKL). Five other industry associations signed the letter, which was addressed to Chancellor Scholz, Federal Minister of Economics Habeck and Minister of Agriculture Özdemir.

The companies now fear that production lines will soon come to a standstill and that refrigerated logistics centers for food distribution will be closed. “The food industry is currently experiencing the worst crisis since the end of the Second World War,” it continued. “The situation is tense and the load limit has been reached, so the companies have to reduce their ranges in an emergency.”

Here, too, the dramatic rise in prices for electricity and gas supply due to sanctions is cited as the reason for the catastrophic situation.

New York Times: We Should Criminalize Speech Like Germany

The New York Times has been running an extended crusade for some years now to dispense with freedom of speech. It’s run op-eds arguing that speech is violence, that the First Amendment has been misunderstood… and that we should be more like Germany.

The story starts with this incident

When the police pounded the door before dawn at a home in northwest Germany, a bleary-eyed young man in his boxer shorts answered. The officers asked for his father, who was at work.

They told him that his 51-year-old father was accused of violating laws against online hate speech, insults and misinformation. He had shared an image on Facebook with an inflammatory statement about immigration falsely attributed to a German politician. “Just because someone rapes, robs or is a serious criminal is not a reason for deportation,” the fake remark said.

The police then scoured the home for about 30 minutes, seizing a laptop and tablet as evidence, prosecutors said.

It’s hard to imagine a worse test case for censorship. But the New York Times decided to lead with someone sharing a sarcastic quote on Facebook mocking pro-migrant politicians.

Clearly, the Times would like to see this in America.

Hate speech, extremism, misogyny and misinformation are well-known byproducts of the internet. But the people behind the most toxic online behavior typically avoid any personal major real-world consequences. Most Western democracies like the United States have avoided policing the internet because of free speech rights, leaving a sea of slurs, targeted harassment and tweets telling public figures they’d be better off dead. At most, Facebook, YouTube or Twitter remove a post or suspend their account.

But over the past several years, Germany has forged another path, criminally prosecuting people for online hate speech.

Germany is known for forging another path. That said, most European countries will prosecute some kinds of speech and none have free speech. The police can come to your door in the UK and any number of European countries. Germany does this on a larger scale.

In doing so, they have flipped inside out what, to American ears, it means to protect free speech. The authorities in Germany argue that they are encouraging and defending free speech by providing a space where people can share opinions without fear of being attacked or abused.

This is the same “Censorship is Freedom” argument being used by Google, Facebook and the Left.

What’s really telling are the examples in the article.

And it was that post that eventually led to the raid of that 51-year-old father’s house in northwest Germany. The father, whose name was not shared by authorities because of Germany’s strict privacy laws, is still under investigation in Lower Saxony as police examine the contents of his devices. Even if he did not know the comment attributed to Ms. Bause was fake, he still faces punishment because “the accused bears the risk of spreading a false quote without checking it,” prosecutors said.

So basically penalizing opponents of a leftist politician.

Swen Weiland, a software developer turned internet hate speech investigator, is in charge of unmasking people behind anonymous accounts. He hunts for clues about where a person lives and works, and connections to friends and family. After an unknown Twitter user compared Covid restrictions to the Holocaust, he used an online registry of licensed architects to help identify the culprit as a middle-aged woman.

“I try to find out what they do in their normal life,” Mr. Weiland said. “If I find where they live or their relatives then I can get the real person. The internet does not forget.”

It’s safe to say that woman was not a fan of the Nazis.

Last year, Christian Endt, a journalist in Berlin whose coverage of Covid drew a steady stream of insults online, reached a breaking point. After an anonymous Twitter user had called him “stupid” and mentally ill, he embarked on a mission to see if he could get the person prosecuted.

The person’s account did not include a real name, but it had a photo on the profile page. That allowed Mr. Endt to perform an image search to see where else on the internet the image could be found. It led him to a LinkedIn page of a small-business owner. From there, he found the individual’s company website, phone number and home address.

Mr. Endt compiled his finding in a memo and sent it to the local district attorney. In December, the case landed with the online hate unit in Lower Saxony, where the culprit lived. After reviewing the evidence, they sent the man a fine worth about €1,000.

Again, criticism of government COVID policies.

Last year, Andy Grote, a city senator responsible for public safety and the police in Hamburg, broke the local social distancing rules — which he was in charge of enforcing — by hosting a small election party in a downtown bar.

After Mr. Grote later made remarks admonishing others for hosting parties during the pandemic, a Twitter user wrote: “Du bist so 1 Pimmel” (“You are such a penis”).

Three months later, six police officers raided the house of the man who had posted the insult, looking for his electronic devices. The incident caused an uproar.

None of the incidents profiled involve any kind of Nazi association. This is about the government suppressing its own political opposition under the guise of fighting hate speech. The complaints seem to largely involve politicians, activists and media figures.

It’s not hard to see why the media in this country thinks we should be more like Germany.

BREAKING: Absolute majority for the right-wing camp in Italy

According to initial forecasts, the bourgeois-conservative camp is clearly in the lead ahead of the left camp. The projections are still very rough, but Repubblica assumes 225 to 257 seats in the Chamber of Deputies (majority: 201 seats), and 111 to 131 seats for the Senate (majority: 101 seats). This means that even in the worst case, the right-wing camp has an absolute majority.

Bangladesh: Islamists target cricketer Liton Das for posting Mahalaya greetings, mock Hinduism and ask him to convert

Liton Das, image of Durga idol uploaded on his Facebook account

On Sunday (September 25), Islamists in Bangladesh denigrated the Hindu religious beliefs of cricketer Liton Das and asked him to convert to Islam. The development came after Das shared greetings on the occasion of Mahalaya, which marks the beginning of Durga Puja.

In a Facebook post, the Bangladeshi batsman shared a picture of an idol of Goddess Durga with the caption, “Subho Mahalaya! Mother Durga is arriving.” Soon after, Islamists descended on his timeline and abused Das for being an adherent of the Hindu Faith. It is notable that according to beliefs, Mahalaya marks the arrival of Goddess Durga to Earth from Kailash Parvat.

The Islamists denounced idol worship and mocked the Hindu deity as an object ‘made of clay.’ Islamists, who dwell in their make-believe world of religious supremacy, also hoped that Liton Das would convert to the supposed ‘One True Faith’ aka Islam.

শুভ মহালয়া! মা আসছেন 🙏🏻🌺

Gepostet von Litton Kumer Das am Samstag, 24. September 2022

“World’s best religion is Islam,” commented Miyad on Liton Das’ post on Mahalaya. “Let Allah provide guidance to everyone, and give them the wisdom to find the right path (Islam),” wrote Emrol.

Islamist N Ferdaus Zaman tried to play a spoilsport and remarked, “No religion other than Islam has any value on the face of the Earth.” Another fanatic wrote, “You guys must understand that these idols made of clay won’t do any good. Because these idols are meaningless. This is why you should believe in Allah, your Creator.”

One KR TuRan wrote, “These stone idols cannot be sacred to anyone. Any rationale individual will not worship an idol carved in stone. I welcome you to the fold of Islam. Come to the right path.”

One Mohammed Abdul Lotif expressed hope that Allah provides guidance to everyone to tread on the ‘right path’ of Islam. The visceral hatred for Hinduism and the practices of idol worshippers is thus evident from the comments of the Islamists.

Muslim child spews hatred against Hindu cricketer

Hate towards religious minorities, especially the Hindu community, is not a new phenomenon in Bangladesh. Earlier, a video of a young boy went viral on social media where he turned down the idea of meeting Hindu cricketer Soumya Sarkar for the virtue of his religion.

In the viral video, a reporter could be seen asking the child about the cricketers that he wanted to meet. Responding to this, he says, “I want to meet Mushfiqur, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskeen Ahmed and Sariful.” When quizzed about Soumya Sarkar, the child said, “Soumya Sarkar is a Hindu cricketer. I don’t want to meet him.”

The Hindu community had to face the wrath of Islamists in Bangladesh, especially during last year’s Durga Puja, over false allegations of blasphemy.

India: Hindu student stabbed to death by a Muslim over an affair with a girl

On Tuesday, a high school student named Aditya Tiwari was murdered in Jalalpur in Bihar in front of the school. the 10th-class student was stabbed with a knife during a fight with some students, and the attackers fled after fatally attacking him. Now, it has come to light that was killed over an affair with a girl that attended coaching classes with him. Reportedly, the youths killed Tiwari over a girl from a neighbouring village who attended classes in the coaching centre in Bhatkesari.

Tiwari had earlier gotten into a fight with the other youths at the coaching centre, and when he arrived at his school to appear for the exam, he was confronted by them, who were appearing for them. They launched an attack on him in front of the school and stabbed him with a knife. Reportedly, three boys have been identified as the main culprits in the case, and coincidently all of them are from the Muslim community.

The incident occurred when the second term exams were going on in the school, and the question papers were already distributed. At that time some students spotted Aditya Tiwari and informed the teachers. He was immediately rushed to the community hospital where he was declared brought dead. After the incident, the students and teachers fled from the school.

The motive of the murder was uncovered following the arrest of two of the accused and their interrogation. Reportedly, both of them are minors. At present, the main conspirator who has been identified as Taif aka Sonu Khan is absconding. The cops are also questioning the coaching centre owners. In the meanwhile, the coaching centre in Bhatkesari Bazar and the school both are currently closed following the incident. Both the arrested accused have been kept at the Kopa police station for questioning.

The Jalalpur police retrieved the knife used to murder Aditya Tiwari from Enamipur village. The knife was found in a field at the side of the road. After the incident, the three accused threw away the knife. SFL will investigate the knife, according to Jalalpur Police.

In the meanwhile, the situation is tense in the area over the murder, and the school was vandalised by angry people from the locality. Headmaster-in-charge Prabhatesh Pandey said that the benches and desks of the school were broken and a LED TV was also damaged during the attack. As a result, the teachers from the school went to the District Education Officer’s office and demanded a security guarantee. They have said that will not run the school without security. The Headmaster-in-charge has lodged a complaint about the attack on the school following the incident, and the police have registered a case against unknown people.

Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi took to Twitter to demand justice for Aditya Tiwari. “Aditya Tiwari of Bihar was only 15 years old when he was murdered in his school by Taif, Shahid, and Arshad, three barbarians who used to tease schoolgirls every day. Aditya had shown bravery and fought them!! #JusticeForAditya,” he tweeted. He also posted an Instagram story posted by the main accused where he had written ‘Aak Jalalpur me khela hoe’. In another video, the accused was seen cutting a cake with a country-made pistol.

According to the Jalalpur police, Raids are being carried out to apprehend the third accused and primary conspirator, Taif aka Sonu Khan.
