An elderly Hindu man from Mehrauli, a Muslim-dominated village in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh has filed a complaint against a few Muslim youths in the neighbourhood, accusing them of threatening him with severe repercussions if he does not accept Islam. He also alleged that the accused barged into his house and assaulted him. They ransacked his house and threatened him with life unless he converted to Islam.

In the complaint filed with the Kosi Kalan PS in Mathura on July 22, 2022, 60-year-old Tejram named Tahir, Tarif, Aashi, Amir, Idrish, Gunna, Amir, Amsar, Babbu, Shabbir and Sagan as the accused. The victim further alleged that the Kosi Kalan police and local officials were acting on the accused’s orders and that his plea was being ignored as a result of their clout and terror.

Tejram’s accusation prompted Mathura Police to take cognisance of the case. On August 31, 2022, the Mathura police instructed the Kosi Kalan station in charge to investigate the matter on an urgent basis and take appropriate and prompt action in the case.

Tejram stated in his police complaint, a copy of which is also with OpIndia, that he and a few other Hindus acquired government plots in the area 18 years ago. Tahir, Tarif, Aashi, Amir, Idrish, Gunna, Amir, Amsar, Babbu, Shabbir, and Sagan, all from the same hamlet, had entered their plots and cut down the trees a few days ago. Furthermore, they breached the boundary fencing of the field belonging to another Hindu man from the same village named Godharan and merged it into their own. Tejram had filed a complaint against these Muslim youths with the police and local authorities following both events. This enraged the accused, according to Tejram.

Tejram further alleged that the accused had political and religious animosity toward him. On the evening of July 23, 2022, the Muslim youths barged into his house and started abusing him. They threatened him by saying “you can achieve nothing by complaining to the police or the local authorities”. They then ransacked and vandalised his home. When Tejram resented they started brutally thrashing him up.

The complaint further stated that when people from the neighbourhood attempted to help Tejram, they were also assaulted. According to Tejram, the assailants said, “This is our village…if you want to stay here you’ll have to stay as per our whims. We Muslims make up 90% of the village population. If you irk us you will have to wash your hands off your life and property/land. Embrace our religion or leave this village.”

Speaking about the plight of Hindus in the village, Tejram said that he is not the first to face such intimidation. Previously, other Hindu residents of the village have also been threatened and harassed. But no one has ever dared to speak up as they are all afraid of the accused. Tejram further stated that the accused have weapons in their possession and also have links with local gangsters. He said that it is also believed that the Kosi Kalan police and revenue department employees are also under the accused’s control. Which is why his complaint also went unheard for all this while, said Tejram.

Tejram told OpIndia that when he was younger, the hamlet did not have a large Muslim population. In the years since, not only has the Muslim population grown significantly but several Hindus in the area have also been compelled to flee. He further revealed how for the last almost two decades, the village has not had a Hindu sarpanch. The current Muslim leader also backs the accused.

Tejram described another incident in which a Dalit woman was violently beaten up by Muslim villagers and made to compromise while detailing the suffering of the village’s Hindu population at the hands of the Muslim villagers. He further told OpIndia, “Many times in the past, Muslims here have implicated Hindus in bogus cases and gotten away with it.”

Polls show a steady lead for the right-wing alliance in the September 25 Italian elections, with Meloni’s conservatives promising aid to families to stem falling birthrates, and populist Salvini vowing action on immigration.

Social conservative Brothers of Italy (FdI) leader Giorgia Meloni has launched the party’s election manifesto promising to support “Made in Italy” goods, halt illegal immigration, and support the country’s birth rates.

The Brothers of Italy leader launched the 40-page manifesto this week, which promises first to support Italian families and look to increase the country’s birth rate, which is one of the lowest in Europe and fell to record lows during the first year of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

Among the pro-family policies is a payment of 300 euros per month for children during their first year, which reduces to 260 euros per month until the child is 18. The FdI also want to reduce value-added taxes (VAT) on childhood products such as baby formulas and wants to make the first hundred thousand euros of any first home purchase tax-free.

Meloni’s party also promises to do more to showcase Italian producers of various goods from wine to luxury and cultural products, including producing “Made in Italy” certificates for companies and promoting commercial tourism for Italian-made products.

The manifesto also looks to abolish the citizenship income introduced by the Five Star Movement in their previous coalition government with populist Matteo Salvini’s League, a coalition ally of the Brothers of Italy heading into this month’s election. The party is looking to introduce a new alternative to the citizenship income for those who are elderly or unable to work but looks to increase training and labour resources for those who are able to work.

Illegal immigration has become a major issue of the election campaign for Meloni’s ally Matteo Salvini, who again visited the island of Lampedusa, which has become repeatedly overwhelmed due to illegal immigrant arrivals this year.

Salvini promised to renew the security decrees he enacted while Interior Minister in 2018 and 2019, which were credited with largely reducing the number of illegal immigrant arrivals and also reducing the number of drowning deaths in the Mediterranean Sea.

“Immigration is a phenomenon that can be controlled, others have promised it for twenty years and I have proved it. Countering the trafficking of human beings is possible, just reintroduce the security decrees,” Salvini said and added, “Reintroducing the security decrees means returning to defend Lampedusa, Pantelleria, the Italian borders and the European borders.”

Meloni’s Brothers of Italy are in agreement with Salvini on illegal immigration and also wish to greatly reduce the number of new arrivals, according to the party manifesto, which highlights the relationship between immigration and crime in Italy, particularly drug trafficking.

According to a report from 2018, as many as one in three crimes are committed by foreigners and nearly half of the cases of violent sex offences were attributed to migrants, according to another report from 2020.

Meloni has previously called for a naval blockade to stop illegal migrant crossings of the Mediterranean Sea, saying, “Brothers of Italy are proposing a naval blockade because, as we have explained a thousand times, it is a matter of a European mission in agreement with North African states to stop — alongside them — human trafficking and to set up in African territory hotspots managed alongside the European Union to assess asylum requests and distinguish between those who have a right to asylum and international protection from those who do not.”

As just weeks remain until the national election on September 25th, Meloni’s party continues to be the most popular in Italy in recent polling and the centre-right coalition of her Brothers of Italy, Salvini’s League and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia remains far ahead of the left-wing parties.

According to pollster Lorenzo Pregliasco of the firm Youtrend, the left is unlikely to be able to bridge the gap with the Meloni-Salvini coalition in the coming weeks and stated that Meloni holds “the cards in her hand and in these cases the only risk is to get the game wrong.”

Other forecasts have stated that the right-wing coalition could win as many as 60 per cent of the seats in the Italian parliament, which could see Ms Meloni elected Italy’s first female Prime Minister.

Latest polling from BidiMedia puts Meloni’s conservative Fdi on 24.5 per cent, Salvini’s populist Leauge on 12.7 per cent, and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia on 6.6 per cent, enough for what has been described as an “easy victory” for the right-wing coalition in September. The group leads by a considerable margin any conceivable coalition that could be created by the second-running left-wing Democratic Party (PD), which is polled at 24.3 per cent.

The Administrative Court of Bremen has overturned the expulsion of the preacher of the Islamic Cultural Centre (IKZ) on Breitenweg and thus upheld his complaint.

The court came to the conclusion that the prerequisites for the expulsion of the plaintiff, who had no criminal record, were not met, based on a predicted threat to public security and order in the Federal Republic of Germany due to his preaching. According to a press release of the Administrative Court, the plaintiff does not fulfil the requirements for deportation without a previous criminal conviction. The statements made by the plaintiff in his sermons, which were compiled by the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution, did not indicate support for terrorist organisations.

The interior authorities had accused the Tunisian-born preacher, who has been active in the Islamic Cultural Centre since 2006, of supporting terrorist organisations, of endangering the Federal Republic of Germany and of a high risk of repeating these acts.

The court ruled that some of the groups explicitly mentioned by the preacher did not constitute terrorist organisations. Moreover, the statements were not sufficiently concrete to constitute a threat in the sense of the Residence Act. Nor did the plaintiff incite hatred against groups of people living in the Federal Republic of Germany.

In his sermons, he affirmed his own faith and called upon his listeners
his listeners to also be steadfast in this regard. However, this did not constitute a call to hatred. His statements on the position of women and men, on raising children and on individual fundamental rights were still within the framework of freedom of opinion and belief. “There was therefore no danger to the public security and order of the Federal Republic of Germany,” the administrative court declared.

A black chant calling for the killing of “Boers” –  white South Africans – is not considered a hate crime or racist speech. This has now been decided by the Supreme Court in South Africa.

It passed judgement on the song “Kill the Boer” and unsurprisingly ruled that it was not a case of “hate speech”. Rather, it is protected by “freedom of expression” and must be left to the political debate within society.

The song says, among other things, “The cowards are afraid. Shoot the Boers, shoot, shoot.” The case was brought before the court by the Afrikaner organization AfriForum, an advocacy group for the dwindling white population still living in South Africa.

In particular, it accused the left-wing, anti-white party Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) under its President Julius Malema of playing the song at their rallies and thus calling for violence against whites. One of the political goals of the EFF is the expropriation of all white properties. Its policies are dictated by operatives from the British Foreign Office. However, according to the court, AfriForum allegedly could not prove that the song’s lyrics were intended to harm people.

The court is known to be packed with anti-white, globalist-leaning judges. The South African Constitutional Court notably also found that same-sex coupleshad a “constitutional right” to marry. The former Marriage Act was deemed “unconstitutional and had violated section 9 of the Constitution – the Right to Equality”. This ruling is especially curious in a country were same-sex relations are not tolerated by the vast majority of the black population, rendering it undeniably undemocratic.

According to the Human Rights Watch (HRW), at least 20 LGBTQ individuals were murdered in South Africa in 2021.

The EFF complained that the white organization had highlighted the white genocide in the country. In addition, they claimed that AfriForum was based on a “racist narrative” according to which all black people are irrational and therefore willing to kill because of a song. “The attempt by the racists to erase the cultural element of the liberation struggle in South Africa has failed miserably,” emphasized EFF spokesman Sinawo Thambo.

The truth is that since the end of apartheid in South Africa in the 1980s, tens of thousands of white people have been murdered. The victims are usually farmers [Boers], and their killers are black gangs whose crimes are often unspeakably cruel. Their goal is to drive the Boers out of the country and transfer their land holdings to blacks.

Immediately after the tank discount expired, fuel prices in Germany rose sharply again. The German Press Agency carried out an evaluation of the prices at almost 400 gas stations in Munich, Berlin, and Hamburg between 6 a.m. and 6.30 a.m. using the ADAC fuel price data. The prices at many gas stations were significantly higher than in the same period on Wednesday, the Tagesschau news service reported.

Prices soar above €2

E10 grade premium petrol cost more than €2 on Thursday morning at most gas stations surveyed. A day earlier, the price had not been above this threshold at any of the gas stations examined. Diesel, on the other hand, already cost more than €2 at most of the gas stations examined on Wednesday. On Thursday, the diesel price at most petrol stations was well above €2.10, even more than €2.30 at some stations.

Petrol station operators had bought at the reduced tax rate until Wednesday and can therefore initially sell petrol and diesel more cheaply. So, it could be a while before consumers see the full effect of the cancellation of the tax cut, also known as the tank discount.

Herbert Rabl, the spokesman for gas station interest group Tankstellen-Interessenverbandes, accused large corporations of selling fuel that had already been purchased, meaning at the previously lower price, at inflated prices. There will be a big price war at the pumps in the coming weeks, Rabl told SWR.

“The big brands have almost or completely ditched the tank discount, and the small brands are now following suit. We are experiencing a tug-of-war over who will prevail.” The gas station interest group is an association that represents the concerns of gas station leaseholders and owners in Germany.

France: new discount at the pump

Meanwhile, France is taking a different approach: While the tank discount has expired in Germany, the neighboring country increased the discount at the pump on Thursday night. Instead of the previous 18 cents, a discount of 30 cents per liter of petrol or diesel will be in place on the mainland in September and October. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, a smaller discount applies in Corsica and some overseas territories.

In the following months, the tank discount should fade away in France as well. In November and December, it is to be reduced to 10 cents on the mainland and phased out completely at the end of the year.

The fuel rebate is part of a package designed to increase the purchasing power of the French. Rising prices and an increase in purchasing power are two of the issues that French society currently see as the most important, according to a recent survey by the French polling institute Ifop.

Pfizer Inc. is a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporation that was established in 1849 and headquartered on 42nd Street in Manhattan, New York City. Pfizer’s current net worth is $262.77B.

Pfizer recently launched a Breakthrough Fellowship Program that offers college juniors the following:

•       10-week summer internship
•       Two years of full-time employment following undergraduate graduation
•       A full scholarship to pursue a two-year graduate program after the two-year employment period
•       A future job offer after the completion of a postgraduate degree.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said the following about the program:

As students receive mentoring and professional development, they also will have the opportunity to grow within the organization, which will lead to parity at all levels to create a vibrant culture where every colleague has the opportunity to succeed.

Sounds like a fine opportunity for the young who desire an instant rise up the corporate ladder with benefits in every way, including pecuniary ones.

But before you think of applying yourself or asking promising young individuals you know to apply, you must know there is a condition that must be satisfied.

This particular program is only applicable to individuals of Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American descent.  

So if you happen to be Caucasian or Asian, Pfizer doesn’t want you for the program.

This is contrary to Pfizer’s claim in their Frequently Asked Questions brochure about the nine-year program that they are an “equal opportunity employer.”

This is obviously a blatant case of racial discrimination.

But Pfizer isn’t embarrassed about it, in fact, they are very proud.

Their website proudly states the following:

One of Pfizer’s Bold Moves is to create a workplace for all, and we are committed to increasing diversity by fostering a more inclusive workplace. – a nine-year commitment to increase minority representation at Pfizer, designed to enhance our pipeline of diverse leaders. The Breakthrough Fellowship Program, first-of-its-kind, works to advance students and early career colleagues of Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American descent  with a goal of developing 100 fellows by 2025.

Gail Heriot, a member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, told the Washington Free Beacon that the fellowship presents a “clear case of liability” under federal law: a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, which bans racial discrimination in contracting, and Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which bans racial discrimination in employment.

Every lawyer contacted by the Washington Free Beacon said the case against Pfizer was open-and-shut.

David Bernstein, an expert on civil rights law at George Mason University School of Law, said the Breakthrough Fellowship was “obviously illegal.”

Dan Morenoff, the executive director of the American Civil Rights Project, called it a “very facial violation” of Title VII.

Jonathan Berry, a partner at Boyden Gray & Associates, said it was “hard to see anyway” the program was legal.

Let’s look at some scenarios that will occur as a result the program:

If you are the offspring of former President Barack Obama who is black, and whose net worth is around $70 million, you qualify for the program.

If you happen to be the offspring of Jennifer Lopez whose net worth is around $400 million but who is Latino, you qualify.

If you are the child of Native American film star Jason Mamoa, whose net worth is $25 million dollars, you qualify.

However, if you are the child of an impoverished and widowed South Asian Indian mother who works three jobs to put food on the table, and you have shown great promise in school, earning acclaim from your teachers and good grades as well, you do not qualify.

If you are a child of a Caucasian man who is struggling with his business after punishing pandemic lockdowns but have shown great aptitude academically you do not qualify.

If you are a Chinese-American orphan whose parents allowed you to flee persecution in communist China, or racial discrimination in some place like Malaysia or Indonesia, and who has a strong academic and overall record, you do not qualify.

There are other open questions, too.

What about people of mixed race? 

What if an individual is an offspring of an interracial marriage where one parent is from Pfizer’s permitted race and the other is from Pfizer’s restricted race? Does the individual qualify?

Who gets preference if there is one place left and they have one Black/African American, one Latino/Hispanic, and one Native American descent who qualify for the requirements?

What about those who may have Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, or Native American genes but appear white?

Isn’t it misogynistic to favor a man for the fellowship over a woman, just because of race?

Isn’t it homophobic to favor a straight individual for the fellowship over a homosexual, just because of race?

Isn’t it transphobic to favor a straight individual for the fellowship over a transgender, just because of race?

Why even have academic qualifications as a criterion at all, perhaps an individual couldn’t afford to go to college because of financial problems. Why not allow such a person, too?

Why even have a program to evaluate candidates, perhaps they are underperforming because of their background. Allow all of them to qualify. Let there be no grades and let everybody get a lucrative job.

Why stick to just a particular fellowship, open up the whole firm for Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic and Native American only? Perhaps the Caucasian CEO should resign?

If this continues for long, what will be the future of Pfizer or any other company that practices racial discrimination such as this?

“Why are you picking these rare scenarios; you racist? We are attempting to help those who have been historically discriminated against,” is how Pfizer will respond.

A principle that doesn’t work for all can work for none.

Favoritism towards one on any criteria is discriminatory towards another.

What about historical discrimination?

The era of slavery is long over and the people who engaged in those vile practices are dead.

The era of segregation is also over and proponents of this abhorrent practice, i.e., primarily Democrat party leaders, are gone, too.

The notion of collective guilt doesn’t work simply because an individual cannot be blamed for the misdeeds of his forefathers.

In fact, dedicating programs to certain races is a form of bigotry, the implication being that they are not smart enough to compete with everyone so they have to be given a special facility. What happens to these individuals when they go out in the real world or seek another job? Would they be able to proudly say that their primary qualification to enter Pfizer was their race? How will potential employers who are seeking employees of talent and diligence look at such a candidate?

If Pfizer really wants to help the downtrodden and facilitate diversity. Pfizer could donate to schools in impoverished areas and ensure they receive a quality education irrespective of race, color, gender, religion, or any other attribute.

How has Pfizer’s record overall been?

Pfizer saw record profits due to its mRNA COVID-19 vaccine and the antiviral pill Paxlovid.

The CDS states that “there is a rare risk of myocarditis and pericarditis associated with mRNA COVID-19 vaccination, mostly among males ages 12 through 39 years.“

Perhaps Pfizer can begin its charity by helping out those who suffered as a result of their vacccine first?

The likes of Pfizer, despite their virtue-signalling, present significant impediments to realizing MLK’s dream of a society that sees people for the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. 

It ought to be corrected, right away.

In an age like ours, so talkative and so free, it is always a bit surprising to see a certain moderation, to put it mildly, about events such as the stabbing of the novelist Salman Rushdie, threatened since 1989 for his ” irreverence towards Islam ”, or the beheading of a professor in front of a French school. The point is that in the West alternative models of civilization are competing for the upper hand and the healthy one is losing.

There is, of course, our heritage, built on Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. The legacy of Europe, the legacy of the West. But two strong rivals have emerged from this legacy.

One of these is imported: Islam, which is not just a metaphysical faith, but an alternative civilization to ours and which wants to replace it.

The other rival is more subtle and has many names: politically correct, cancel culture, woke … This is also an alternative model of civilization because it wants to deconstruct our heritage. In French there are two words that are pronounced the same way: Oxydant and Occident. Progressivism is this, the oxidant of the West.

When two civilizations face each other, as in the case of “West vs. Islam” in Samuel Huntington’s theory, there is a very clear clash; but if we have three participants, the game becomes more complicated. And two can team up against the third, for example.

And that’s what’s happening. Islam and Western progressivism, in this case. Nor is it surprising that left-wing governments subsidize LGBT associations on the one hand and Islamists on the other.

It is now much easier to understand why our liberals reacted sparingly to the near-fatal attack on Rushdie. On the one hand, they love anti-religious satires. On the other hand, they only love satire against Christianity, never against Islam. The Indo-British writer thus places them in an embarrassing situation.

One song, “Jésus est pédé”, Jesus is gay, was broadcast by France Inter, the French public radio service. Its author, Frédéric Fromet, envisioned Jesus as a member of the LGBT community. Catholics were angered by a public service attack on their faith and culture (no, they did not stab Fromet).

The Superior Audiovisual Council (CSA), the body that always has a quick hand when it has to punish criticism of Islam and immigration, has chosen not to sanction France Inter.

Then also the State Council considered that the song contained “obscene and rude words”. “However, the airing of this song was aimed at criticizing discriminatory attitudes towards homosexuals. Despite the outrageous nature, these remarks cannot be considered as exceeding the limits of freedom of expression”. Closed case.

The same public radio broadcaster France Inter has rejected an advertising campaign by the Oeuvre d’Orient, which fights for persecuted Christians. The radio had asked for a single word to be removed: “Christian”. The phrase “au profit des chrétiens d’Orient”, so that the proceeds would go to the Christians of the East, had to disappear and the billboards reprinted. “Advertisements must not contain any element that could offend the religious beliefs of listeners,” he said, before admitting advertising for the protests.

There is freedom of thought and speech, yes, but only of single kind of thought. From the current left, therefore, we have been able to read, at most, vague condemnations of “all religions” or “all fanaticisms”.

Today the West is actually a great paradox. However, a civilization is one that tells us why life is worth living.

Consider what is happening in Norway, the “happiest country in the world” according to the United Nations and the “country with the freest press in the world”. On the one hand, we have Christine Marie Jentoft, a transgender activist. Biologically, Christine is male, but she identifies as a lesbian woman. On the other hand, we have Christina Ellingsen, a “traditional” feminist activist who thinks that gender does not erase sex. Ellingsen tweeted that a woman is born, not made. Jentoft (the man who considers himself a woman) filed a police report which opened an investigation. Now Ellingsen faces three years in prison.

In 2021 the Norwegian law was modified to introduce the notion of gender identity as related to hate crime. The government had been warned that introducing this change would lead to legal action against people who merely remembered basic biological facts, such as that only women give birth or that biological sex is binary and unalterable.

Amnesty International joined the progressive crusade by accusing Ellingsen of “molesting” Jentoft.

Amnesty is a textbook case on what I tried to say at the beginning (Rushdie himself accused Amnesty of “moral bankruptcy” ten years ago). Amnesty’s secretary general, Claudio Cordone, said that “defensive jihad” is not “antithetical” to the battle for human rights. He said this in response to a petition on Amnesty’s relationship with CAGE (formerly CagePrisoners), the NGO founded by the British Islamist Moazzam Begg. A prominent

Amnesty executive, Karima Bennoune, author of a book entitled “Your fatwa does not apply here,” wrote: “During my years at Amnesty International I shared your concerns about torture in Algeria, but I could not understand the response of the organization to the violence of fundamentalist groups “. And Bennoune is not the first NGO executive to criticize her own organization. Amnesty also suspended Gita Sahgal for voicing some concerns. “To appear alongside Britain’s most famous Taliban supporter, treating him as a human rights defender, is a big mistake,” she wrote.

There was a time when Amnesty defended victims of ideological repression, such as the wife of Soviet writer Boris Pasternak, Olga Ivinskaya, who spent years under arrest and was persecuted for her husband’s refusal to bow in the Kremlin. Now, as the Times documented, it has ties to Islamists (the same ones who attacked the life of Salman Rushdie’s publisher in Norway) and represses women who do not want to be replaced by an absurd and grotesque ideology.

Don’t we live in wonderful times? The West has become as thin as that cloud into which Rushdie disappeared for ten years after the fatwa.

The German government’s “queer” commissioner, Sven Lehmann (Greens), has presented a catalog of measures against “queer hostility”. Lehmann sent a relevant draft to associations and ministries of the federal government for further coordination.

The “National Action Plan for the Acceptance and Protection of Sexual and Gender Diversity” would like to promote “legal recognition”, “participation” and “security” of LGBTQ people more, as reported by the German Press Agency dpa.

According to the draft, security authorities are to record “hate crimes” based on gender or sexual orientation separately in the future. Projects against sexism and “queer hostility” are to be promoted in schools and in sports. Furthermore, there are plans to regulate costs for artificial insemination to have children, including for unmarried and same-sex couples. For “gender-fair language” the “establishment of a body for the formulation of recommendations for the public service” is demanded.

Bypassing a vote in the Bundestag

In the coalition pact, the traffic light parties had already agreed to develop such an action plan to be decided later this year. A prioritization and the implementation of the various cornerstones should then take place. According to the coalition agreement, the traffic light wants to expand the equal treatment article of the Basic Law to include a ban on discrimination based on sexual identity.

The draft of the action plan proposes that the government seek a “dialogue with the Bundestag and the federal states about a corresponding draft law” because the two-thirds majority required for an amendment to the Basic Law in the Bundestag and Bundesrat is considered extremely unlikely.

“We’ve come a long way in terms of equality and acceptance, but still not far enough,” said Lehmann. With the action plan one wants to decisively counteract “queer hostility”. It will become “the agenda for a politics of respect,” predicted the “Queer” commissioner.

Diverting tax money

Aidshilfe Cologne and the gay health center Checkpoint honored Sven Lehmann for his commitment to the LGBT community, especially during the Corona crisis “for his demand for a rainbow rescue package for queer clubs, associations and organizations”. The campaign honors people, organizations and clubs who are committed to the interests of the community with the help of campaigns during the crisis.

In a guest article in German daily Die Welt, Lehmann claimed that there were many genders and that the view that there are only two genders was “unscientific and homophobic and transphobic”. The biologist and Nobel Prize winner Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard contradicted his peculiar view in an interview in the magazine Emma. “Mr. Lehmann may have missed the basic course in biology.” The magazine Cicero dryly noted that it now seemed that Nobel Prize winners were needed to explain to the public that there are two biological sexes.

Nüsslein-Volhard explained that basic biological principles unequivocally disprove transgenderism. “[A]ll mammals have two sexes, and man is a mammal,” said Nüsslein-Volhard, who won the 1995 Nobel prize in Physiology and Medicine for her research in early embryonic development.

“There’s the one sex that produces the eggs, has two X chromosomes. That’s called female, and there’s the other one that makes the sperm, has an X and a Y chromosome. That’s called male.”

Asked whether people can change their gender, the Nobel laureate dismissed the notion as absurd: “That’s nonsense! It’s wishful thinking. There are people who want to change their gender, but they can’t do it … People retain their gender for life.” People who believe they can change their gender “cannot impose their ideas on everyone as facts”.

Dangerous gender notions

Nüsslein-Volhard also warned of the dangers of prescribing hormones to try to achieve this. “The body cannot handle it well in the long run. Every hormone you take has side effects. Taking hormones is inherently dangerous.”

Nüsslein-Volhard said the transgender view espoused by Lehmann was “unscientific”. Despite this, the German government began pushing for legislation to allow children as young as 14 to change their legal gender without parental consent.

She said allowing children to “change their gender” was “madness”. She said young girls should be supported in their actual identities rather than encouraged to become like men.
