Love jihad in India: Muslim pretends to be a well-known singer to lure an underage Hindu girl, throws her into a well after sexual exploitation and is arrested

In an incident of love jihad that took place in the Lohardaga district of Jharkhand, one Muslim man named Rabani Ansari pretended to be a singer named Sajan Oraon from a tribal community to lure and sexually exploit a Hindu minor girl. The culprit then threw the girl into a well. The victim girl somehow survived. The police have arrested Rabani Ansari.

A 17-year-old girl from Hardaga district received a call six months ago from an unknown youth, Rabani Ansari, a resident of Navatad under Mandar police station in Ranchi district. He called the minor girl and told her his name was Sajan Oraon. He started calling often by talking about friendship. Gradually he entangled the girl into a love trap.

The girl also fell into his trap. After promising a love relationship, Rabani Ansari called her to Ranchi and kept her in different rented houses from February to July and made physical relations with her several times. Meanwhile, the girl came to know about his real name Rabani Ansari and she also learnt that he is already married. After this, the girl started protesting. Meanwhile, the accused youth had also made an objectionable video of her, which he made viral to put pressure on the minor girl.

While taking the girl to his village Navatad, Rabani Ansari pushed her into a field well near the village. He also hit the drowning girl with stones from above. Fortunately, the minor girl managed to save herself using a stair-like structure made in the well. She somehow escaped from there and came to Lohardaga. Lohardaga DSP Parmeshwar Prasad said that a case was registered at Lohardaga women’s police station under sections 376, 427, 379, 417, 307 of the IPC and section 6 of POCSO Act and the police arrested the accused Rabani Ansari. He runs a mobile phone shop under the Narkopi police station area in Ranchi district.

This incident has caused a lot of resentment among Hindu Sanatan organizations. Satish Pandey of a Hindu organization said that attempts are being made to lure and sexually exploit Hindu girls by hiding their original religious identity, and the government and administration should take strict legal action against such people.

Indian Ex-Muslim warns: ‘Hindu girls should not marry Muslim men’

On August 26, a Muslim man, who reconverted to Hinduism out of his free will, warned Hindu girls against marrying adherents of the Islamic Faith.

While speaking to Aaj Tak, Mohammad Salim Haider cautioned, “I appeal to all Hindu girls to not get married to Muslim men. If such a marriage happens, the fate of the girl will be the same as that of my wife. For 14 years, she did not give justice.”

“She will neither be a good wife nor a good daughter-in-law in the eyes of her in-laws. They may even try to rape her. If the girl has a daughter, then, her Muslim in-laws may even try to rape the child. Why should I follow a religion where my wife and daughter did not get any respect?”

Mohammad Salim Haider made the remarks when he was quizzed about love jihad. Haider, who recently embraced Hinduism, is being threatened with death. According to his wife, threats are being issued in the name of gangster Mukhtar Ansari and UP government minister, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi.

A resident of Lucknow, Haider has now taken up the new name of ‘Rajveer Singh.’ He told Aaj Tak that his wife and daughter are constantly threatened with rape because they decided to abandon Islam and reconvert to Hinduism.

Rajveer’s wife, Samia Siddiqui, who changed her name to Poonam Singh, stated that she was previously a Hindu. She informed that her husband’s family thought that if a Muslim man married a Hindu female or has a sexual relationship, he would receive the glory of Hajj.

“When my husband objected to this, we attempted to return to Hinduism, but we are now facing death threats,” she emphasised. Poonam stated that the family is so terrified that they are reluctant to leave the house. She has now sought help from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The grim reality of Love Jihad

For thousands, if not lakhs of non-Muslim women in India, love Jihad is a grim and disconcerting reality. Also called grooming Jihad, it is a strategy of luring vulnerable non-Muslim girls, by the agency of either deception, lies, intimidation, or feigned love, under the fold of Islam.

Instead of genuine marital bliss, these girls get trapped in a web of deceit and lies and are often coerced, threatened and sometimes tortured to relinquish their faith and convert to Islam.

In some cases, victims are even killed or mortally wounded by the assailants for refusing to convert their religion or threatening to file a police complaint against the culprits. There have been umpteen incidents that conclusively prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Love Jihad is a real menace bedevilling non-Muslim women.

The preponderance of Love Jihad cases has forced state governments to enact a law to curb the menace. Several state governments such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha have already notified a law criminalising Love Jihad.

Others, who are yet to pass a law, are in the process of formulating it to bring a stop to the abhorrent practice. Despite the hard-hitting reality, left-liberals and Islamists tend to negate love jihad as a Hindutva conspiracy theory. You can read about Opindia’s detailed coverage of love jihad cases here.

France warns of elevated terror attack threat by jihadists from Iraq, Syria

There is an elevated threat of terror attacks on French soil by Islamic extremists coming from Iraq and Syria, France’s national anti-terrorism prosecutor warned Friday.

Jean-Francois Ricard said in an interview on French news broadcaster BFM TV that terrorist acts carried out “by individuals coming from areas where terrorists are operating, especially the Iraqi-Syrian area” cannot be ruled out.

Ricard’s comments come ahead of the opening of the trial of eight suspects in connection with the 2016 Bastille Day truck attack in Nice that left 86 people dead.

Ricard said the extremist threat has increased since 2020. “For two years, we’ve been able to see how the Islamic State group was regaining some pieces of territory, was restructuring itself” in Iraq and Syria.

He pointed to the January attack in Syria by Islamic State jihadists of a prison holding suspected extremists in the northeastern city of Hassakeh.

Individuals convicted in France on terror-related charges and are set to be released pose another threat, Ricard said.

“Very often they have abandoned none of their convictions,” he said, adding however that France’s judicial and intelligence services will keep a close watch on that released inmates.

The prosecutor said French authorities will “need to do everything we can” to prevent determined terrorists from committing attacks.

“It’s a true problem that we must certainly not deny,” he said.

The Islamic State group had claimed responsibility for the July 14, 2016 attack in Nice. The attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, who plowed a 19-ton truck into a crowd assembled for the fireworks display, was shot dead by police.

French authorities said Bouhlel, a Tunisian with French residency, was inspired by the extremist group’s propaganda, but they say no evidence has been found that IS orchestrated the attack. The trial is to take place at a special court for terrorist cases in Paris.

In June, 20 men were convicted in connection with the 2015 Paris terror attacks on the Bataclan theater, Paris cafes and the national stadium that resulted in 130 deaths. Most attention had focused on the lone surviving member of the Islamic State attack team, Salah Abdeslam. The other suspects were found guilty of assisting in the preparation of the attacks or hiding Abdeslam from police. Some are presumed dead in Syria and were tried in absentia.

Leftwing US foundation plotting to overthrow Orbán

A huge political scandal is causing a stir in Hungary: A foundation run by critics of Hungary’s leader Viktor Orbán and prominent American regime-change leftists provided significant financial support to the Hungarian opposition in the run-up to the last parliamentary elections in April in order to ensure a change of government in Hungary is brought about in Budapest. But foreign donations to Hungarian parties are forbidden.

In circles of the ruling Fidesz party, allegations of abuse are already being raised. István Hollik, the Communications Director of the ruling Fidesz party, accused Peter Márki-Zay of lying to his voters and added that the funding came with strings attached: “What did the donors ask for in exchange?”

Márki-Zay, mayor of Hódmezővásárhely (south-eastern Hungary) and former presidential candidate for the parliamentary elections in April, drew attention to the process himself. While perusing the detailed statement of his campaign costs, which he has only just received, Márki-Zay admitted that he was given several million forints from the US in July, which are now being used to settle his campaign bills.

He made it clear that all donations would be used to try to “overthrow” Prime Minister Orbán – and that this effort would continue.

According to Márki-Zay, the donations came from a US foundation called Action for Democracy, which was only established in February 2022, just before the Hungarian elections. He claimed that billionaire George Soros was not among the donors, since the donations came from “Americans and Hungarians living in America”. The foundation insisted that they had had an “intense online fundraiser” and received money for this cause from thousands of people whose names they do not want to publish in order to “protect their privacy”.

Meanwhile, Action for Democracy no longer focuses exclusively on Hungary. The foundation’s website lists “the main contested countries in the world where we see the greatest threats to democracy and where elections will be held next year that will decide the fate of these democracies”. These include Italy, Brazil, Hungary, Poland and Turkey. In all of these states, national-conservative parties are either in power or – as in the case of Italy – are very likely to win the next elections.

Although the Foundation Advisory Board is headed by Hungarian-born writer Kati Marton, more prominent members include numerous other Advisory Board members, including British historian Timothy Garton Ash, US historian Anne Applebaum, former NATO Commander-in-Chief General Wesley K. Clark, the liberal US political scientist and author Francis Fukuyama, American historian Timothy Snyder, former British Foreign Secretary David Milliband and Hong Kong activist Simon Cheng.

Fidesz communications chief István Hollik told the media that it was illegal in Hungary for a party to receive funds from abroad. According to him, Márki-Zay and his team “abused the law” by receiving the funds into their party’s account. Hollik also pointed out that Action for Democracy literally has “thousands of connections” to George Soros.

Action for Democracy told Magyar Hang that contrary to what Márki-Zay maintained in a podcast, the foundation did not give campaign funding to anyone – they supported the politician’s MMM movement “as a civil organization”.  There is – as of August 30 – a link to a fundraiser called #HungarianSpring on their website, but it no longer works.

Trust in the German state is at rock bottom, new polling shows

Confidence in German politics has reached a new low. Only 29 percent of Germans believe that the state can fulfill its tasks, and two-thirds consider it overwhelmed, according to the annual survey by the opinion research institute Forsa on behalf of the German Association of Civil Servants (DBB).

Not even the voters of the governing parties believe in the system’s ability to act: 53 percent of the SPD, 52 percent of the Greens, and even 80 percent of FDP supporters think it is overwhelmed to fulfill its tasks. They feel they are in opposition, because even out of left-wing and CDU/CSU sympathizers, only 78 and 73 percent, respectively, believe this. Only AfD supporters are even more critical at 90 percent.

A comparison with previous years shows how serious the fall in reputation among citizens is. In 2020, 56 percent said the state was able to fulfill its tasks. In the second pandemic year, it was only 45 percent. The survey has been taking place for 16 years. Never before has such a poor value been measured as in the summer of 2022, reports the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

DBB boss Ulrich Silberbach is concerned about the figures. He comments that the civil service is not adequately equipped to deal with crises. Citizens’ confidence in the ability of the state to act is gone, he claims. Forsa Managing Director Peter Matuschek attributed the survey debacle to the so-called crises triad of the pandemic, Ukraine war, and inflation.

According to the energy supply, the state is overwhelmed — 17 percent mentioned this issue. Climate protectionfollowed with 15 percent. Interviewees believe either that the state exaggerates the matter or does too little about it. However, 84 percent are convinced that investments in climate protection are a crucial or significant government task.

Social justice surpasses this value, with 94 percent considering this a crucial or significant task for the state. Arms deliveries to Ukraine, on the other hand, are only considered important by half of the respondents.

India: Muslim issues threat to the family of a Hindu girl saying ‘send her to me or get beheaded’, arrested

The Khekra police in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday (September 2) arrested one Mohammad Rahees, following a complaint by a Hindu family on August 31, accusing him of threatening them with death. The family, in their complaint, said that the accused issued ‘sar tan se juda‘ threats and also threatened to make their daughter’s objectionable images viral on social media if they ‘do not send her to him’.

Prior to this, in the month of May, the family had submitted another complaint against the same person, accusing him of kidnapping their daughter.

Based on the first complaint, the police had booked Md Rahees under IPC section 366 (kidnapping a woman and compelling her for marriage or to cause her defilement). Later the police registered another FIR against the accused under IPC sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form).

According to the second complaint filed with the Khekra PS, the girl’s father allegedthat Md Rahees had been pressuring them to ‘send their daughter to him’ or face dire repercussions. The father further said that the accused had threatened to behead his entire family if they did not agree to his demands.

The accused, as per the girl’s father, had put up an objectionable picture of his daughter as his Whatsapp status on August 23, 2022 and further threatened to leak her obscene pictures on social media when the family did not concede to his demand.

The girl’s father confirmed that Md Rahees was a resident of Ghaziabad. He recalled how on July 18, the accused accosted him and his wife when they were on their way to Delhi on their bike. He added that Rahees threatened his wife by saying, “Send your daughter to me, or I will chop off your head and your husband’s body.” His family has been terrified since then, said the father.

The girl’s father said that seeing the commotion, when the passers-by started gathering near his bike, Md Rahees fled. However, he has been relentlessly pressuring his family to send the girl ever since.

According to a report by Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar, the victim’s father stated that his daughter used to teach in a school. Meanwhile, that boy used to put up a stall in the Friday weekly market held near the school. On May 30, his daughter suddenly went missing. She left without informing her parents. The distraught parents approached various Hindu organisations for help. They filed a complaint regarding the same at the Khekra PS.

Following the outcry from Hindu organisations, the police recovered their daughter after a month and returned her to the family.

The police confirmed that in her statement before the magistrate, the girl stated that she had that she was in a love affair with the youth and had left with him on her own free will.

However, ever since she was recovered and send back home by the police, Md Rahees had been hounding and harassing the Hindu family. He has been issuing ‘sar tan se jida’ threats and warned of serious repurcussions if they do not send back the girl back to him.
