Enoch Burke has been committed to Mountjoy Prison for contempt of court after telling a judge he would not abide by a court order restraining him from attending for work while suspended, claiming that to do so would violate his religious beliefs.

The schoolteacher opposed an application from Wilson’s Hospital School for his imprisonment, saying: “I love my school. I am here today because I would not call a boy a girl.”

He told Mr Justice Michael Quinn: “It is not something I will do. It is in violation of my conscience.”

The evangelical Christian was suspended on full pay on August 24 pending the outcome of a disciplinary process after clashing with the school’s principal and board of management over a request that teachers address a transgender student by a new name and use the pronoun “they” instead of “he”.

However, he continued to turn up for work, prompting the Church of Ireland diocesan boarding school to seek and secure an interlocutory injunction from Ms Justice Siobhan Stack last Wednesday restraining him from coming to its premises in Multyfarmham, Co Westmeath until September 7.

Despite this order, he continued to come to the school each morning. This led to a further application from the board of management, and Ms Justice Miriam O’Regan ordered on Friday that Mr Burke be arrested and brought before the court today.

The teacher said transgenderism was against his religious beliefs and contrary to the teaching of all the major church on the island of Ireland.

“Were I to obey the order of the board of management and the order of the court, I would have to accept that sticking by my belief in male and female is wrong,” he said.

“It is not something I will do. It is in violation of my conscience.

“Were I to go into the school and bow to something I know to be manifestly wrong, it would be a shame and a disgrace on my part.”

On Sunday morning, a young man approached a man in Gutenbergstraße in Halle (Saale) because he had thrown a plastic bag full of rubbish onto a meadow. A dispute ensued, in the course of which the Syrian who was approached allegedly threatened him with a knife and the other man allegedly verbally insulted the foreigner. The police took down both their personal details and filed two charges.

An “unprecedented” number of nursing homes are being closed and converted to refugee shelters for Ukrainians, warned a Waterford TD and junior minister for older people, Mary Butler.

The government minister said she traveled to Dublin to hold an emergency meeting about the issue and to speak with officials in her department. In total, 11 nursing homes have closed their doors in 2022, with Butler saying she is “genuinely concerned” about a trend she has seen over the last three months involving these homes closing in favor of hosting Ukrainian refugees, according to an interview on Irish radio network WLR FM.

Although some of the closures are unrelated to the refugee crisis, a number of others are partaking in this practice, said Butler. She said she is concerned about nursing homes that are economically viable are converting to refugee shelters because it can make them more money. Once converted to a refugee shelter, the government offers these new shelters contracts that are supported with taxpayer money.

“I have seen it across the country,” said Butler, “that some providers are opting to de-register their nursing homes to take in displaced people as another alternative.” She said that while some nursing homes close due to financial pressure, and that is their right as private operators, she is looking at measures to slowdown the closures while staying within the ministry’s €1.4 billion budget.

“So, there is a bit of a contagion effect at the moment and I’m certainly looking at a cooling-off period when a nursing home might close,” she said.

“We’re certainly looking at a cooling-off period before they can have a change of use.

“We’re looking at everything because I am genuinely concerned about the trend I have seen in the last 12 months,” she added.

While most refugees from Ukraine are actually Ukrainians, a fair number of Africans, Asians, and Middle Easterners have used the conflict as cover to enter the European continent by claiming they are from Ukraine. They have made their way to Ireland and other European countries, such as in France, where one report indicated that one in three Ukrainian refugees do not actually come from Ukraine.

Ireland has faced a long-term housing crisis which has been exacerbated by mass migration. The war in Ukraine, and an influx of over 40,000 Ukrainian refugees has put additional stress on the housing market and helped fuel inflation.

A Muslim police officer who tweeted racist messages and was in regular contact with a suspected female jihadi in Syria has finally been suspended – a year after being exposed by The Mail on Sunday.

Ruby Begum, 27, was hailed an inspirational role model after footage showing her bravely confronting anti-lockdown protesters while wearing a hijab went viral two years ago.

But in the months before joining the Metropolitan Police in 2016, she used Twitterto insult Jews and mock the 9/11 attacks.

She frequently used the offensive term ‘kuffar’ to describe non-believers, writing in July 2014: ‘Kuffar lips have been all over my mug there is no way I’m using that thing again.’

Elsewhere she described Pakistanis as ‘p***s’.

After being alerted by this newspaper, the Met referred the matter to the Independent Office for Police Conduct and Miss Begum was placed on ‘restricted duties’.

Following an investigation, the Met said yesterday that she had ‘a case to answer for gross misconduct’. She now faces a hearing ‘on a date to be determined’.

‘On 9 August 2022, she was suspended from duty.’

Miss Begum communicated over many months with a woman thought to have fled Europe in 2014 to live under the Islamic State’s so-called caliphate.

The woman would later acquire notoriety for appearing to defend male terrorists’ use of minority group Yazidis as sex slaves.

Without offering explanation, Miss Begum wrote around this time that her own passport was confiscated for a month.

Miss Begum ran a Twitter account under the name Ruby Beees from 2012. Most of her antisemitic comments were made in 2014 when Israel attacked the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip. She tweeted: ‘Dirty Zionist. Jahannam [hell] is awaiting.’ In another, she said: ‘Israel have no limits. Scumbags.’

There is no suggestion that Miss Begum tried to join IS or go to Syria, and some of her tweets indicate she was appalled by the group’s behaviour.

Upcoming Malayalam film ‘Puzha Muthal Puzha Vare’ by filmmaker Ali Akbar who changed his name to Ramasimhan Aboobakker after reconverting to Hinduism, has been stalled after the CBFC has imposed several cuts, that would according to the Director, whitewash the brutality that was heaped on Hindus during the Malabar Genocide of Hindus by Moplah Muslims.

Talking to OpIndia, Ramasimhan, previously Ali Akbar, said that the Revision Committee of CBFC imposed several cuts in the movie over 2 such meetings, where the true nature of the Malabar Genocide was depicted. According to the Director, if the cuts were to be accepted by him to release the movie, it would whitewash the brutality against Hindus and essentially project the Malabar Genocide of Hindus as an “uprising”, just as the Leftists want.

Pertinently, after the Kerala Censor Board had denied certification to the movie earlier this year, they referred the movie to CBFC for a Revising Committee review. Akbar suspects that the local Censor Board has influenced the decision of the Central Board and there is pressure from the PFI to stop the release of the movie. On being asked why the central board is behaving in this fashion, the Director said, “Please remember the famous dialogue of Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri – The government might be ours, but the system is theirs”, referring to Islamists and Leftists. 

Ramasimhan says that the local officer in the Kerala Censor Board has been against his movie from the very beginning. It was only after he said that he would approach the High Court did she agree to a screening of the movie for registration of the certificate. Once the screening was done, the Director says that Ms Parvati, without giving any notice, referred the movie to CBFC Revision Committee. When the first Revision Committee meeting was held in Mumbai, very minor cuts were suggested that did not alter the character of the movie. Since the movie had scenes of violence, the CBFC had also said that it could only give an A certificate. Akbar says he was happy with the outcome and came back to his native place in Kerala.

However, to Akbar’s surprise, there was a second Revision Committee meeting was called. It was in this meeting that several cuts were imposed by the CBFC that barred him from showing scenes depicting the atrocities against Hindus by Moplah Muslims.

One of the first scenes that the CBFC censored in the movie was a scene where the Thuvur well incident was depicted. On the 25th of September 1921, on the barren hillside between Thuvoor and Karuvayakandi in North Kerala Chambrassery Imbichi Koithangal, one of the Khilafat leaders, held a rally with over 4,000 of his followers. During this meeting, more than 40 Hindus were caught hold of and taken to him with their hands tied behind their backs. 38 were murdered. 3 of the 38 were shot but the rest were beheaded and thrown in the Thuvoor well.

Besides the Thuvoor well incident, there were several other scenes which were cut. For example, Akbar tells OpIndia that in the movie, there was one dialogue that spoke about the Al-Daula (Islamic State) that was established in Malabar by Kunjahammed Haji. According to several records, this was evidently an ‘independent area’ that the Islamists had established where they had even imposed Jizya on Hindus. One lady, who was a part of the censor board, asked Akbar questions about what he knew about Shariat and Islam, and then proceeded to cut that dialogue altogether.

Akbar told OpIndia that during the 1921 Genocide of Hindus, the carnage was rampant. There was the forcible conversion of Hindus, the deliberate slaughter of cows was rampant just to insult the faith of the Hindus, several thousand were beheaded and temples were razed to the ground. In the movie, he had scenes where he depicted the forcible conversion of Hindus and the temples being razed by Islamists, these scenes were also disallowed by the censor board. In another scene, without really showing the cow slaughter, he had alluded to cows being slaughtered by Islamists and that too was cut.

Aside from such scenes, OpIndia was told that the censor board even told Ali Akbar to ensure that chants of “Allahu Akbar” and “Naara-e-Taqbeer” were not shown so frequently.

Essentially, all the cuts in the movie would strip down the essence of the movie, which was to show the genocide of Hindus by Moplah Muslims in 1921. He suspects that the censor board was under the influence of the Kerala officer who, according to him, is a Communist wanting to peddle the communist narrative of the 1921 genocide being a “peasant uprising” against “landlords”. In fact, this is evidenced by the fact that when the movie referred to the family of the Hindus Kings of the area as “Lords”, the censor board insisted that it be changed to refer to them as “Landlords”.

Ramasimhan, previously known as Ali Akbar, has now decided to approach the High Court against the cuts imposed by the censor board, he told OpIndia.

The Malabar genocide of 1921 was a systematic campaign of jihad against Hindus. The genocide, orchestrated by the likes of Variankunnath Kunhamad Haji, Ali Musaliar and others, led to an estimated death of 10,000 Hindus in Kerala. It is believed that as many as 100,000 Hindus were forced to leave Kerala in the wake of the massacre. The number of Hindu Temples that were destroyed in the genocide is speculated to be a hundred. Forcible conversion of Hindus was rampant and unspeakable atrocities were poured upon Hindus.

The Moplah pogrom was described by the likes of Annie Besant and Babasaheb Ambedkar in their respective published books. Annie Besant described the events in her book ‘The Future of Indian Politics’ as, “They murdered and plundered abundantly, and killed or drove away all Hindus who would not apostatize. Somewhere about a lakh, people were driven from their homes with nothing but the clothes they had on, stripped of everything. Malabar has taught us what Islamic rule still means, and we do not want to see another specimen of the Khilafat Raj in India.”

Babasaheb Ambedkar, in his book, Pakistan or the Partition of India, wrote, “The blood-curdling atrocities committed by the Moplas in Malabar against the Hindus were indescribable. All over Southern India, a wave of horrified feeling had spread among the Hindus of every shade of opinion, which was intensified when certain Khilafat leaders were so misguided as to pass resolutions of “congratulations to the Moplas on the brave fight they were conducting for the sake of religion”. Even after 100 years of the event, the wounds of the genocide remain afresh in the Hindu conscience.

In today’s happy news, Chile’s voters have decisively, overwhelmingly rejected a full-blown socialist rewrite of their 40-year constitution that otherwise has served them so well.

According to the lefty U.K. Guardian (whose account was less biased than that of the New York Times):

Chileans have voted comprehensively against a new, progressive constitution that had been drafted to replace the 1980 document written under Gen Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship.

With 96% of the votes counted in Sunday’s plebiscite, the rejection camp had 61.9% support compared with 38.1% for approval amid what appeared to be a heavy turnout with long lines at polling states. Voting was mandatory.

Senator Ximena Rincón, one of the leaders of the reject campaign, described the victory as “clear and emphatic”, and called for a new constitutional convention to be convened.

Wow, two to one! That’s a hell of a margin.

Suffice to say, what the Chilean voters rejected were all the siren song promises of the left — free health care, free education, free abortion on demand (something that dates to the Bolsheviks), animal rights, tree rights, other greenie nonsense, state control of resources, gender parity in government, transgender privileges, government pensions with an expropriation of private pensions, government jobs to anyone who wanted one, a “plurinational” state with Indian tribes on an equal footing to the government, and a total loss of individual rights to come with it. The president could run for consecutive terms, the way Hugo Chavez used to do, and the Senate would be eliminated, as a thing of the past.

In short, they voted ‘no’ on turning their country into a socialist hellhole.

According to the New York Times:

Chilean voters rejected a 170-page, 388-article proposal that would have legalized abortion, mandated universal health care, required gender parity in government, given Indigenous groups greater autonomy, empowered labor unions, strengthened regulations on mining and granted rights to nature and animals.

In total, it would have enshrined over 100 rights into Chile’s national charter, more than any other constitution in the world, including the right to housing, education, clean air, water, food, sanitation, internet access, retirement benefits, free legal advice and care “from birth to death.”

And it would have eliminated the Senate, strengthened regional governments and allowed Chilean presidents to run for a second consecutive term.

The text included commitments to fight climate change and protect Chileans’ right to choose their own identity “in all its dimensions and manifestations, including sexual characteristics, gender identities and expressions.”

It was written by leftists, given the legislative composition, and for leftists, having every item on the leftist “to do” list on it.

According to the Times:

Leftists, who won more than two-thirds of the seats, took full control of the process; they did not need a single vote from conservative convention members to approve additions to the proposal.

As a result, said Ricardo Lagos, the center-left president of Chile from 2000 to 2006, the proposal was “extremely partisan.”

One of those. Yes, we in the states are familiar with the durability of such mono-party ram-throughs, impossible to pass by compromise with multiple parties, triggering the “by any means necessary” ethic of the left.

Not surprisingly, it was loudly endorsed by Bernie Sanders, Regina Tlaib, Noam Chomsky, Jeremy Corbyn, Gustavo Petro, and other prominent radical leftwingers from other countries, some of whom wouldn’t want to live in such a place themselves if they weren’t in charge of it. 

What it resembled was the constitutional rewrite that Hugo Chavez rammed through in the early 2000s in Venezuela, leftists rewriting the entire rules of a society in order to “transform” it to their leftist ideal.

The media was uniformly biased in reporting the current Chilean constitution as the “Augusto Pinochet” constitution. That it was written at the end of the Pinochet era, in preparation for a free Chile outside the confines of the military government (which by the way, was itself constitutionally done, something the lefties have never accepted), is probably one of the biggest media distortions about the current constitution that was supposed to be so bad. It was a leftist propaganda lie, not a factual description. That Chile’s free-market constitution has since been amended, and amended, and amended, usually by center-left but democratic and freely elected governments in the post-Pinochet era, is never noticed. Calling it the “Pinochet” constitution is a total misnomer, given how often center-left governments have changed it around with the consent of the governed.

But unlike a lot of Latin American governments, which change their constitutions (as one Nicaraguan friend explained to me years back) “the way we change our underwear,” Chile’s constitution did endure at its core, making Chile a model of stability. Its core free market and individual rights principles never changed. That’s why Chile has remained so stable compared to its neighbors. 

Meanwhile, the current constitution brought about prosperity to Chile as the years passed and the rabid left yelled about Chile’s free market reforms “failing”:

That chart, with its soaring prosperity line upsets the left hugely, in the same way it upsets Joe Biden and his allies, the former of whom called the prosperity that President Trump brought to America “a threat” to democracy.

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden said…

Probably the biggest reason for Chile’s successful result is what the late great Herman Cain called “the Chilean Model” which had he been elected president, he vowed to bring to the states. That’s Chile’s revolutionary innovation of private savings for retirement funding, which replaced Chile’s utterly bankrupt social security system. Pioneered by the great Jose Pinera, a Chicago-school of economics economist, the system gave individual Chileans huge retirement fundings well beyond what Americans get from Social Security, eliminating the need Americans have to save on the side as well. It also gave Chile a vast pool of savings and investment capital that enabled the private sector to develop the country — roads, bridges, mining, fishing, wineries — and raise incomes and jobs of workers to first-world levels. Chile is the only country in Latin America that has very successfully crawled out of the designation of “developing country” as a result. Standards of living in Chile are high, and unlike most other Latin American countries, Chile is not a net exporter of illegal immigrants — Chile has a huge illegal alien problem of its own as nationals from socialist hellholes seek entry, legally or illegally, to Chile. Bottom line: The Chile Model lives!

What we have here is a stunning success story derived from that constitutional base, premised on property rights, individual freedoms and the rewarding of hard work and merit.

Chile, though, has been plagued by lousy leaders and low growth in recent years, sadly, one of the most loserly being President Sebastian Pinera, who though nominally a conservative, actually allowed himself to be hoodwinked by the left in permitting the votes on this new leftwing constitution three years ago as leftists started to riot. He was a RINO pushover, being scared of being compared to Pinochet, and as a result, Chile was turned into Portland for months upon months as the left ran rampant.

As a result of this weakness, a voter reaction was triggered, and now Chile has an utterly unfit president, a 36-year-old tattooed far-left clown named Gabriel Boric as its president, who has rapidly begun to make a hash of Chile, and very early into his presidency, has become unpopular. When he got elected president as a student “leader” of the riots, the equivalent of an antifa leader, he was all in for the new leftwing constitutional rewrite that Bernie Sanders so heartily endorsed, and at his inauguration bombastically claimed:

“If Chile was the cradle of neoliberalism, it will also be its grave.”   

 Well, no. That didn’t work out very well for him since last night, did it? 

There will likely be more attempts to rewrite the constitution, but with a two-third rejection of this all-the-left-all-the-time version, the momentum is against it, and he and his pals probably won’t have that much time until voters get rid of them. Chile draws its strength from building on what it has, not by remaking society, again and again from the ground up, the way tyrannical communists do, viewing human beings as malleable “matter.”

Guys like Hugo Chavez like to rewrite constitutions to their liking and claim they are the people for it, but Chileans didn’t take the bait. They knew that if they approved this constitution, they’d be entering a leftist roach motel from which there would be no return, unless they wanted another revolution. Enough of them had seen what happened in Venezuela even if they didn’t live through 1973. Well, having been through 1973, plenty had been there, done that. That’s the exact dynamic of what went on in Chile as Salvador Allende, a close Castro ally, took over Chile on a weak mandate and sought to reinvent the country on the lines of Cuba and kid you not, North Korea. Chile’s legislature and courts then acted to direct the military to oust him, which is how Chile ended up with Pinochet and his military government.

Instead of trashing what they’d already built over the years for the great socialist Utopian dream, Chileans opted to keep what they had and trash the leftist radicals instead.

Let’s hope this lights the fuse for an enormous chain reaction to be felt all across the hemisphere, including here.

Catalan police have arrested a radicalised man from the municipality of Empuriabrava suspected of planning an attack in Catalonia.

The man of Moroccan origin, who was under close police surveillance, as reported by the newspaper Diari de Girona, was arrested by the Mossos d’Esquadra on September 2 and is being held in the detention centre for foreigners in Barcelona, where he is awaiting deportation.
The 30-year-old allegedly indoctrinated himself by sharing jihadist content recalling the martyrs and tried to indoctrinate and incite others via social networks to commit crimes.

The Catalan newspaper reports that the discovery of a grenade from the Spanish Civil War in a house in Empuriabrava in May this year initiated surveillance of the man described as a jihadist ready to commit the deeds. This is because in the course of the investigation, the authorities discovered the identity of the buyer of this grenade, who had also bought “several cutting and stabbing weapons and a firearm”. The 30-year-old had also “changed his behaviour and physical appearance” and had become “more aggressive”.

The case shocked not only the LGBTQ community: On the fringes of a gay parade in Germany, a trans man (25) was beaten so brutally that he later died in hospital.

Austrian outlet eXXpress reported that the perpetrator is a previously convicted asylum seeker (20) from Chechnya. The victim saw the  the perpetrator insulting participants of the parade as “lesbian whores”. The German then intervened and tried to calm him down but the Chechen knocked him to the ground. The trans man hit his head on the asphalt so hard that he did not survive his injuries.

The perpetrator, Nuradi A. was the German youth boxing champion in 2017, according to a report in Bild. After the crime, a large-scale manhunt was launched for him. After a few hours, a policewoman recognised him at Münster’s main railway station and was able to arrest him.

A witness had previously taken a photo which proved helpful in the manhunt. The bystander reported afterwards that the Chechen wanted to force him to delete it however. “I don’t want my father to know that I am gay,” the asylum seeker with a criminal record is said to have pleaded.

Nuradi A. has been in pre-trial detention since Saturday on charges of assault causing death. His defence lawyer is quoted in German media: “Normally, an arrest warrant is not the rule for such offences because the perpetrator did not want the death in the first place. Here, however, the situation is certainly different because of the media interest. Moreover, the court was guided by a previous conviction.”

The attacker is not an unknown person. The warehouse worker with a secondary school diploma has been living in Germany with his mother for eight years. During this time, he has been arrested several times for narcotics offences, but the cases have always been dropped. Most recently, the district court of Münster sentenced him to juvenile detention for bodily harm.

Despite the previous conviction, his residence permit was extended. Because of Russia’s war in Ukraine, there is a ban on deportation to Russia.
