Black African, one of many who voluntarily fought for the Nazis. Like Rutte, the Nazis introduced euthanasia, like Rutte, the Nazis loved the "Negroes" and hated the Jews.
The Netherlands has set aside hundreds of millions of pounds to pay reparations for slavery.
Next year, the nation will set up a fund worth around £174million (€200million), while apologising for its role in the slave trade.
The country’s fund marks the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the Netherlands.
It comes despite Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte previously hitting back at calls for a national apology.
He changed his stance during a recent trip to the former Dutch colony of Suriname.
Speaking during the visit on Monday, Mr Rutte said his outlook on slavery “had really changed”.
Adding that it is a topic we “really need to talk about”, he said: “Even though no one lives from that time anymore, that has really changed for me.”
He said his position comes “partly because of the whole discussion that has arisen around the Black Lives Matter movement”.
Mr Rutte continued: “That really made me think differently about it.
“Next year will mark 150 years from when it was abolished. Those are huge topics, we need to talk about them.
“Even though no one lives from that time anymore, it is still an unfinished chapter.”
On the night of Sept. 10, four Algerian migrants physically attacked a young man due to his sexual orientation on a night bus in Hauts-de-Seine, according to police. All four suspects have been arrested.
According to a police source, a discussion started between the four individuals and the victim, who were all intoxicated. After several exchanges and debates on religion, the discussion turned to sexuality. According to the statements of the young man to police, the four men then attacked him due to his sexual orientation. The incident occurred in a night bus, in Suresnes, the district of Hauts-de-Seine.
One of the four individuals struck him with a blow to his face, fracturing his nose.
The victim was taken to the Foch hospital. The four assailants were arrested and placed in police custody. The four young adults who reside in the country illegally are under administrative deportation orders. However, as Remix News has reported in the past, only 15 percent of migrants scheduled for deportation in France are actually deported.
An investigation has been opened, led by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office.
As of late, Europe has been beset by a number of cases involving Middle Eastern and North African migrants attacking members of the LGBT community. Just this month during a pride parade in Germany, a rejected asylum seeker beat a transgender man to death in a case that shocked the country. Earlier this year, 50 individuals of “southern origin” targeted an LGBT parade, beating a number of participants and setting an LGBT flag on fire.
In June of this year, Islamic terrorists targeted Oslo’s pride parade in Norway, killing two people and injuring 21 in a mass shooting attack.
In a number of Muslim countries, homosexuality is punishable by prison and sometimes death. Critics of mass immigration from these countries point out that allowing cultures that are completely unaccepting of LGBT issues into open European societies is going to not only create societal challenges, but in some cases, could lead to open violence.
The German authorities have announced the dismantling of a human trafficking ring. The Syrian criminals are said to have brought mainly young compatriots across the border. Particularly shocking: IS fighters are also said to have been smuggled into Germany.
On Tuesday morning, 400 German federal police officers searched 20 flats attributed to members and helpers of a Syrian human trafficking gang. The focus of the operation: the small towns of Korbach and Frankenberg, where six arrest warrants were enforced by special forces of the elite GSG9 unit. According to the investigations, at least three of the suspects were even armed. The charge: gang and commercial smuggling of foreigners.
The Syrian trafficking gang, consisting of at least eight men and one woman, was well organised. At least one “scout” car drove ahead, looking for police vans. Then they were followed by vans and vans carrying illegal migrants. The men paid between 400 to 2000 euros to be smuggled across the German border.
In total, the gang is said to be responsible for at least 147 illegal entries and to have collected 177,000 euros for them. The witness whose testimony triggered the investigation is now also suspected of being involved in her ex-boyfriend’s business. She herself is said to have carried out at least one transit with migrants from the Polish-Belarusian border to Germany. The woman (28) also said that her Syrian ex-boyfriend had even brought former IS fighters to Germany. Again and again, the authorities investigated this suspicion – but so far without success.
On Tuesday, the Maharashtra Police arrested seven persons for allegedly murdering a Hindu boy named Deepak Barde from Shrirampur, Ahmednagar. The accused allegedly killed Deepak Barde for having a relationship with a Muslim girl named Saniya Shaikh and fleeing from home to marry her a month ago. The Police are interrogating all the arrested accused in the case.
According to the reports, the accused, who are relatives of the girl, brutally murdered Deepak and threw his body into the Godavari river. The Police are investigating the case and are searching for his dead body in the river. The deceased belonged to the Adivasi Bhil community and was a resident of the Bhokar village in Shrirampur taluka of Ahmednagar district. He had gone missing since August 31 and the incident came to light after the father of the deceased, Raosaheb Barde filed an FIR at the Shrirampur Police Station.
Deepak’s family suspected that the family members of the woman had killed Deepak as they both had fled from home a month ago. Father Raosaheb Barde in the FIR mentioned that Deepak was kidnapped by Saniya’s family members with the intention of murder. He said that his son had gone to Pune for some work and then never returned from there. “He (Deepak) talked to me last at 8:30 pm and on the next day a few people from our village informed me that Saniya’s father Majnu Shaikh and uncle Imran had abducted my son”, Deepak’s father said.
“I thought they nabbed my son because he had fled with their daughter. I went to the Shrirampur taluka police station but did not share the entire thing, as I felt the complaint, in this case, would be lodged in Pune”, he said adding that Deepak was forcibly brought to Majnu’s house in Bhokar village and was brutally beaten for being in a relationship with Saniya. “Deepak has been untraceable since then”, the FIR signed by Raosaheb Barde read.
The Police began an investigation into the case and found out that Deepak and Saniya Shaikh had fled from home a month ago to marry each other. However, the Police have no evidence confirming that the duo had married each other. “The statement of the woman has also not been recorded yet. But they had a relationship and had escaped together earlier”, the Police quoted.
Meanwhile, Raosaheb, the father of the deceased stated that the duo had fled together but later returned to the village as Saniya’s family members were not happy with their relationship.
Based on a complaint filed by Deepak’s father, the Police had earlier arrested four persons, including Saniya’s father Majnu Shaikh, uncle Imran, and family members Samir Shaikh, and Ajij Shaikh. A case under sections 342, 364 (kidnapping or abducting to murder), 34 of the Indian Penal Code, and sections of the SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act had also been filed against them.
Earlier, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane took cognizance of the incident and had asked the Shrirampur Police to conduct a thorough investigation into the case. “Deepak has been killed because he was a Hindu. We’ll not spare anyone who targets the people from the Hindu community. We Hindus should come together for victims like Deepak. We must show our strength. The accused have been arrested but Deepak is still missing. We will not tolerate this. A thorough investigation should be done in the case and Deepak and his family should get justice”, Rane had said.
In the current case, after the initial investigation, the Maharashtra Police have arrested three more persons and have booked all seven accused under the relevant sections of the law. However, the Police are still looking for the dead body of the deceased in the Godavari river and are further investigating the case. OpIndia tried to contact the Police for additional information but the calls remained unanswered.
