German Greens want to give two-year-olds voting rights

The youngest member of the German Bundestag, Emilia Fester, has called for voting rights for everyone, including small children.

In a conversation organized by German weekly Focus with the oldest member of parliament, Wolfgang Schäuble (CDU), the 24-year-old said when asked at what age one should be able to vote: “For me personally: everyone who wants to.”

The former President of the Bundestag brought his four grandchildren into play and named their ages – two, four, fifteen and seventeen. The 79-year-old wanted to know: “In your opinion, who of you should be allowed to vote?” After Fester’s answer, the CDU politician followed up with: “So my two-year-old too?”

Fester was adamant: “As a representative of my group, I say: 15 and 17-year-olds should be allowed to vote.”

The Greens actually demand voting rights from the age of 14. The traffic light coalition has already agreed to lower the voting age from 18 to 16.

Emilia Fester has repeatedly caused raised eyebrows with mindless remarks in the past. At first she complained that her Bundestag mandate was too strenuous with the words: “I’m also sacrificing my youth for this job.” After all, she earns 10 323 euros per month. And the Bundestag meets in just 20 session weeks per year.

In March, she justified the demand for a strict vaccination requirement in a Bundestag speech by saying that the unvaccinated would endanger her freedom. That’s why she hasn’t been able to travel outside Germany since the Corona outbreak. However, she had previously posted photos from her Denmark vacation on social media.

Mediterranean crossings up 50% on last year as migrants land in Italy in the thousands

More than 1,000 illegal migrants arrived on Italy’s shores via the Mediterranean on Sunday, according to AFP reports. And with these arrivals, there have also been more unfortunate incidents.

Local authorities assisted a fishing boat that had experienced difficulties approximately 200 kilometers off the coast of Calabria that had been carrying over 600 migrants, with five casualties confirmed on board.

A total of 674 people, some of whom were already in the water at the time of the intervention were rescued and brought to shore. In addition to coast guard boats, the Navy and a Norwegian merchant ship also assisted. Those aboard were taken to Calabrian and Sicilian ports.

Meanwhile, the French NGO SOS Méditerranée picked up 87 passengers from an overcrowded rubber dinghy off the coast of Libya on Sunday; 57 unaccompanied minors were among those on board, the organization said on Twitter.

A total of 15 boats carrying 522 migrants also arrived on the island of Lampedusa overnight on Sunday. The ships that had embarked from Libya and Tunisia were carrying illegal migrants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Somalia. A day earlier, 350 migrants had arrived on the island.

There is a reception center for migrants on the island, which has capacity for 300 people, but it is now hosting more than 1,200 newly arrived migrants.

Hundreds more are likely to land in Italy in the coming days; for example, a ship of one German NGO is now carrying 444 migrants and is waiting to receive permission to dock at an Italian port.

Over 34,000 migrants have arrived in Italy across the Mediterranean so far this year, compared to roughly 25,500 people in the same period last year, according to data provided by the Italian interior ministry.

EU energy solidarity coming apart at the seams

The much-vaunted gas solidarity among EU members is not holding together well. Several EU countries have been blocking the Brussels austerity plans – there is massive resistance from four EU countries.

According to a proposal by the EU Commission, gas savings should start immediately because the gas that is not being used now would then be available in winter. In the event that Russia were to completely stop its gas deliveries to the EU, the proposal from Brussels also provides for a compulsory energy regulation.

The Portuguese environment and energy ministry said the EU Commission’s proposal was unsustainable and disproportionate.

According to Joo Galamba, the EU logic behind rationing presupposes interlinked European gas distribution systems. Galamba said for years and years his country was disadvantaged because it had no links to the rest of Europe’s energy distribution network and had to buy more expensive gas. Reductions in Russian gas deliveries therefore make no sense.

Brussels also does not take into account the special conditions on the Iberian Peninsula, where drought creates additional gas needs.

Spanish Energy Minister Teresa Ribera emphasized that the Spanish government would not dictate by law to its compatriots what temperature they should have in their homes either. Industrial companies in Spain will not have to fear any restrictions on gas consumption either, she said. “We defend European values, but they cannot ask us to make a sacrifice that they have not even asked our opinion on before. The difference to other countries is that we don’t live beyond our means when it comes to energy,” says Ribera.

Alongside Portugal and Spain, Greece has also spoken out against the EU Commission’s austerity proposal. And there is also objection from Poland – the government in Warsaw indicated that it did not consider it necessary to update gas emergency plans. Polish gas storage facilities are 98 percent full. Most recently, Warsaw refused to help neighboring Germany with gas supplies.

Hungarian leader spells out the effect of sanctions

Statements by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán about the ineffectiveness of sanctions against Russia on Saturday, added to the growing despondent mood. The decision to impose sanctions on Moscow and to supply Kiev with heavy weapons had made EU and NATO member states de facto participants in the conflict without any results to show for it, he said.

In a speech last Saturday in the Romanian city of Băile Tusnad, Orbán said the conflict could put an end to Western supremacy and “create a multipolar world order”. The Hungarian leader argued that Hungary was in conflict with the West, because it wanted to impose the wrong sanctions policy and foreign values on his country. “The power, the achievement, the reputation and the ability to act in Western civilization are on the wane,” the conservative politician told thousands of supporters.

Orbán also criticized the West for ignoring Russia’s security claims before the Russian special operation in Ukraine. He emphasized: “With US President Trump and Chancellor Merkel, this war would never have broken out.”

German Greens are a ‘sect’

Not only in the EU, but in many Western countries, the German “energy transition” has long been viewed very critically. The Wall Street Journal, for example, described the German approach as the “most stupid energy policy in the world” because it failed to achieve either sufficient energy supply or climate targets.

Another critical voice from the US is the publicist Michael Shellenberger. He has predicted the downfall of the Greens as a result of the looming energy crisis. In a recent interview with the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, he sharply criticized the supposed environmental party: “Nuclear power is almost without risk. In the imagination of the Greens, it is demonic, while renewable energies are angelic.” For Shellenberger, the Germans are therefore “still Marxists”. However, he is convinced “that the energy crisis will lead to a drop in support”.

He also criticized German methods of fighting the energy crisis: Reducing the speed limit on the autobahn “would only have a very, very small impact on oil consumption, for example. That’s symbolism.” He also described Federal Foreign Minister Baerbock’s slogan “We don’t have time” as an “apocalyptic discourse of the kind we know from sects”.

Germany remains the bad example when it comes to dealing with climate change and the resulting consequences: “Apocalyptic thinking comes mainly from Germany,” said Shellenberg. In general, climate change is “real and man-made”, but in reality cold would kill significantly more people than heat.

In this context, Shellenberg refered to a study from the journal The Lancet, and according to this, 70 times more people die from freezing in England and Wales than from excessive temperatures.

France: Ali, 27 years old, S-file record as an Islamist and dressed in a djellaba, was arrested when he threatened passers-by with a knife. He also threatened the police officers to kill them

On Saturday July 23, a man dressed in a djellaba was arrested in Marseille for threatening passers-by with a kitchen knife with a 30 cm blade. When police arrived at the scene, he was praying. According to a police source, the man allegedly threatened the policemen to kill them if they approached him. Fearing for their safety, the policemen used a stun gun (PIE) to disarm him.

The suspect with the name Ali B. is 27 years old. He was arrested without any difficulty and subsequently taken into police custody. He has a criminal record in the “Traitement d’antécédents judiciaires” (TAJ), a police file used in judicial investigations – among others for an attempted murder of a person exercising public authority – and is registered in the S-card index for Islamists. As he did not appear to be in full possession of his faculties, he was taken to hospital to undergo a psychiatric examination, according to the police source. An investigation was initiated.

Soft Justice: Rape Gang Groomer Released After Serving Half His Sentence

South Yorkshire Police

Grooming gang member Qurban Ali has become the latest predator to be released back onto the streets after serving only a small portion of his prison sentence.

The 59-year-old, convicted of conspiracy to rape in 2016 and imprisoned at the same time as three nephews, has been pictured walking the streets in traditional cultural dress a mere five miles from the scene of his crimes in Rotherham by the Daily Mail, having served only five years of a ten-year sentence.

While those few grooming hang members who have been successfully prosecuted since the authorities finally stopped ignoring their crimes are often reported to have received harsh sentences by the authorities and media, the headline figures are generally misleading, as criminals handed multiple terms are often allowed to serve them concurrently — i.e. at the same time — and they are almost always entitled to automatic early release on licence halfway or, more rarely, two-thirds of the way through their term.

One of the most infamous examples was Telford rape gang ringleader Mubarek Ali, who was released after serving just seven years of what had been described as a 22-year-sentence — although he was later reimprisoned for flagrantly disregarding his licence conditions.

Such measures can come too late for people victimised by criminals who reoffend while notionally restrained by licence conditions, however.

Ali’s early release has been condemned by grooming gang victim turned victims’ advocate Sammy Woodhouse, who branded it a “disgrace”.

“None of those convicted as part of the grooming gang scandal should be allowed in South Yorkshire. It’s far too close. Some of us live and work in Rotherham and Sheffield,” she told the Mail.

“But people like him and the people he associates with don’t care whatsoever about people like me, they never have and never will,” she lamented.

Neither of the two MPs currently competing to replace Boris Johnson as Conservative Party leader and, by extension, Prime Minister, have raised the issue of grooming gangs, predators being allowed to return to the communities they victimised, or soft prison sentences during their leadership campaigns.

Ireland joins Canada and the Netherlands in contributing to world famine

By Andrea Widburg

Thomas Malthus predicted that famine was the inevitable byproduct of agriculturally successful populations: A well-fed population would breed faster than the agricultural sector could grow. For him, that was an unavoidable tragedy. Modern leftist governments, though, have a new approach to this: They are forcing Malthusian famines by mandating fertilizer reductions and seizing farmers’ lands. It’s all part of the Great Reset that the New World Order of Klaus Schwab et al have planned for us: You’ll have nothing, including no food, while they live in their castles on the hill, insulated from the Hobbesian terrors they’ve created.

First, we heard about the complete collapse of the Sri Lankan government. That occurred because the government, anxious for the approval of the World Economic Fund and other green activists, decided to mandate organic farming practices. The world had entirely organic farming in the pre-modern era and there was a name for it: subsistence farming. That meant that farmers subsisted on the margin of famine, with a single bad growing season or blighted crop sufficient to destroy a society.

Next, we learned that farmers in the Netherlands were striking because the government announced that they must reduce their nitrogen output by 30%-70%, something that will destroy farms—and that the government is seizing farmland to ensure this reduction goes forward.

Up until now, Holland has been one of the preeminent food-producing countries in the world but the farmers’ own government seeks to end that. To add insult to injury, Geert Wilders published a letter showing that the government intends to use the expropriated land to house “asylum seekers.”

Two more countries are joining the list of countries with governments that are deliberately embracing famine. Despite the disruption in the world food supply because of the two years of COVID lockdowns, Justin Trudeau’s government is planning to implement a plan from 2020 that will see the country reduce its nitrous oxide emissions by 30% over the next ten years—and, preferably, to reduce them by 40-45%. The ministers in both Alberta and Saskatchewan have complained, noting that this will substantially reduce food production.

However, when it comes to food production, Canada has a plan: Bugs. The government has invested in a plan to produce 9000 metric tons annually of crickets for animal and human consumption. If it’s any consolation, the solons of the New World Order will also be eating bugs. After all, lobster really is kind of like the grasshopper of the sea, right?

What we’re witnessing is a form of madness, as various world governments enter into a race to return the world to a time of cold, dark, and famine. It’s no wonder, then, that Ireland just hopped on board the “let’s create a famine” bandwagon. Ireland too is demanding that its farmers cut their emissions by 28%:

According to a report by The Times, Ireland’s Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, has already agreed to force a cut of either 27 or 28 per cent on the country’s farming sector, a move that will cause significant disruptions to local businesses.

However, the publication also claims that there is still significant pressure on McConalogue to implement a curb of 30 per cent, a measure the head of one of the country’s largest farming organisations has said would result in a massive cut in cattle numbers in the country.

By the way, if you think it can’t happen here, in America, you’re wrong. One of the byproducts of Biden’s war in Ukraine is that American farmers are no longer receiving the fertilizer that Russia and Belarus have provided for the world. What fertilizer there is has become much more expensive. Limited, expensive fertilizer means limited, expensive food supplies. In a time of modern farming that should see unlimited amounts of food, famine will soon be haunting America too.

This is all to “save the planet,” of course. The current world population is around 8 billion. And while the Georgia Guidestones may be nothing but dust now, it’s reasonable to believe that it states a target world population that sits very well with the World Economic Fund and its acolytes around the world: Fewer than 500 million people. The rest of us are extraneous and would be better as natural fertilizer than as living, breathing CO2 polluters.

Austria: Syrians ran into 6-year-old child with an e-scooter and beat his grandmother

The serious accident occurred on the street Kollwitzstraße in Leonding on July 9. In the afternoon at around 3.35 p.m., the six-year-old was hit and injured by unknown boys with an e-scooter.

The victim’s grandmother (54) held one of the hooligans and was about to call the police when she was punched in the face. The grandmother and grandson were then attended to by the ambulance and the suspects were able to escape.

The two boys have now been identified. They are two Syrian minors from Linz, aged twelve and 14.

The Spanish Guardia Civil frees a minor from the house of a jihadist in the Belgian town of Verviers

The Guardia Civil has located and freed an underage Spanish girl who disappeared earlier this month from the home of a 34-year-old jihadist in the town of Verviers (Belgium, population 55,000) who had captured her, indoctrinated her with terrorist material and allegedly wanted to send her to a conflict zone, according to a statement released this morning by the armed unit, which did not give details of the minor’s regular whereabouts or age. The man was arrested.

The young woman had left her parents’ home for Belgium on July 2, “accompanied by persons belonging to a suspected terrorist recruitment organisation based in that country”, according to the investigation by the Guardia Civil’s information service in the fight against jihadist radicalisation. The family knew nothing about the child’s fate.

The travel allegedly culminated in a first phase of indoctrination, during which the man with Belgian nationality had “constantly” sent propaganda material of a terrorist type to the minor in order to radicalise her.

After the escape ended, the Guardia Civil, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Central Juvenile Court of the National Court tried to locate the minor “before the possibility of her being involved in a terrorist plot”, the statement said. The investigators of the armed unit, in collaboration with the Belgian Federal Police, managed to find out where the young woman was staying.

On July 15, the man was arrested in the Belgian city of Verviers and immediately managed to secure the release of the Spanish minor, for whom a European and international arrest warrant had been issued by the Central Juvenile Court of the National Court.

Preventing the recruitment of minors to jihadism and preventing them from being sent to conflict zones has been one of the key tasks of counter-terrorism services in recent years. In fact, they are still in refugee camps, mainly in Syria, dispersed and waiting for the repatriation of many women who were captured as minors by these networks and now also have children because they have joined the Islamist radicals.

France, for example, repatriated 35 French minors and 16 women earlier this month from camps in north-eastern Syria where members of jihadists linked to the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group are being held. Since 2016, Paris had repatriated only 126 minors, according to the Collectif des Familles Unies. According to its estimates, 97 European women and children had been repatriated by 2021. Only seven of them were French, all minors. From January 1 to July 4, other European countries repatriated 65 children and 27 women, none of whom were French. El Pais

Düsseldorf Airport: German public broadcaster WDR conceals background of IS employees

In the middle of the holiday season, three Düsseldorf airport employees recently posed at a baggage conveyor belt for a scandalous internet photo. They each raised an index finger to the sky – an unmistakable, internationally known sign of sympathy for the IS and its worldwide Islamic terror.

Shortly afterwards, several media reported on this scandal. But almost all of them concealed the identity of the IS supporters. In fact, several newspapers even deceived their readers by writing that the terror sympathisers were “German citizens” who were “born in Germany”.

Of course, this is – if at all – only half the truth.

German broadcaster WDR takes the cake

Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) took the cake. The largest broadcaster in the ARD did not give any details about the IS supporters.

What’s more: WDR, which is specifically responsible for North Rhine-Westphalia, unlike most other media, did not publish a photo of the trio at the airport, although a revealing photo of these “IS friends” ( Bild newspaper) had long since been circulating on the internet.

The behaviour of the public radio and television station in Düsseldorf was obviously a deliberate cover-up – after all, it is easy to recognise from the photo that the three have an oriental background.

Only the tabloid Bild mentions the names of the men

Only the Bild newspaper (headline: “Islamist alarm on the tarmac”) did not shy away from naming the three “German nationals”: They are Mohamed A. R. (19 years), Hamit A. (20) and Serhat I. (20).

Obviously, the group of three comes from Arab families, who presumably once came to the Federal Republic as alleged “refugees” and were soon naturalised as “Germans” – as it has mostly become customary in this country nowadays.
