Germany: Syrian carer rapes 78-year-old dementia patient in care home
What a nightmare! A female resident (78) from the Vogtland region was abused by her carer (21). As she suffers from dementia, she was defenceless against her tormentor.
The young man has now been sentenced to imprisonment at Zwickau District Court for rape and sexual abuse of people in need of help.
Nursing assistant Nancy W. (32, name changed) still cannot believe the sight. “He was standing in the bathroom directly behind her with an erect penis. When I came in the door, he quickly pulled up his pants,” she says.
Without her accidental intervention, the perpetrator might not have let go of the pensioner. Perpetrator and accused Khatab A. (21) is Syrian and was sent to the retirement home in Bad Elster by a temporary employment agency. “He also wanted to massage me again and again. When I cautioned him, he stopped,” said Nancy W.
Due to DNA traces and the witness, the burden of proof is overwhelming. Khatab A. also made a confession. “I was a weak person for a moment.” He had raped his victim with his finger and had no previous sexual experience, he said. “In our culture, there is no sex before marriage – theoretically.”
How the 78-year-old experienced and processed the crime is completely unclear. “She is completely cognitively impaired,” the nurse said. She could not be questioned in court.

Irish President Links Church Massacre to Climate Change – Ignores Islamism
Ireland’s leftist president has attempted to link the recent massacre of at least 50 Catholic churchgoers in Nigeria to climate change, ignoring the issue of rampant Islamism in the country.
Michael D. Higgins, the President of Ireland, appears to have linked a recent mass shooting in Nigeria to the effects of climate change in the region.
At least 50 Catholics were massacred last Sunday after gunmen reportedly opened fired on worshippers celebrating Pentecost mass at St Francis Catholic Church, located in the town of Owo.
It remains unknown who exactly is responsible for the massacre, though contextually it appears likely that the gunmen are Muslim jihadists.
However, in a statement published on the massacre on Tuesday, Higgins appeared to link the mass killing to climate change in the region, dedicating three of the four paragraphs of his written statement to talking about the issue.
Meanwhile, the issue of radical Islamic terrorism was not mentioned by the president once, despite the likes of ISIS-linked Boko Haram being extremely active in Nigeria.
“That such an attack was made in a place of worship is a source of particular condemnation, as is any attempt to scapegoat pastoral peoples who are among the foremost victims of the consequences of climate change,” the statement published on the official website of the President of Ireland read.
“The neglect of food security issues in Africa, for so long has brought us to a point of crisis that is now having internal and regional effects based on struggles, ways of life themselves,” it continued.
“The solidarity of us all, as peoples of the world, is owed to all those impacted not only by this horrible event but in the struggle by the most vulnerable on whom the consequences of climate change have been inflicted,” it concluded.
This is far from the first international controversy Higgins has waded into with a hot take over recent months, having previously likened Elon Musk’s possible takeover of Twitter to a “form of dictatorship” on Irish state-owned television.
While refusing to specifically link his comments to Musk himself, the Irish president lambasted the “concentrated ownership” wealthy individuals and groups have over social media, complaining that things were better back when newspapers and television stations were responsible for public discourse.
“[W]hy would you say — why would anyone say — that those who can concentrate the greatest ownership should be the people who should be the people who would decide how people should deal with each other in communication?” Higgins asked, before describing the current situation as an “absurd form of dictatorship in a way”.
“You don’t have to be a mad, left-wing person to believe that,” he remarked, adding: “It’s just about democracy.”
While Higgins has appeared extremely concerned about who owns social media and the control they have over speech right now, he does not appear to have expressed similar concern over Big Tech billionaires’ such as Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey censoring speech, even going so far as to ban the country’s sitting president, Donald. J. Trump.
Neither has Higgins commented on threats from the European Union to censor speech online — threats which even Elon Musk has seemingly bowed to after one Brussels bigwig threatened to ban Twitter in the European Union if it did not comply with the EU censorship regime.
France: 3 Algerian migrants arrested for slitting 70-year-old woman’s throat
Three illegal Algerian migrants slashed a 70-year-old woman’s throat inside her residence in a retirement home in the French town of Mulhouse on Monday, announced the town’s public prosecutor, Edwige Roux-Morizot.
The victim’s body was discovered in her bathroom shortly before 4 p.m with a slash wound on her throat and stab wounds on her arms; the injuries indicated that she probably tried to defend herself. The prosecutor described “signs of great violence,” with the septuagenarian’s accommodation in complete disarray.
The police investigation progressed rapidly. After a 35-year-old Algerian national was arrested during a burglary attempt on Franklin Place on Monday around 2 p.m., investigators found that the suspect had the identification card of the septuagenarian on him. He was then taken into custody.
The day before the murder, this same man had been checked on by police officers from the anti-crime brigade while he was with two younger individuals, who were located and placed in custody as well.
The three suspects are on French territory illegaly and without a permanent address. According to the police, the younger ones lied about being unaccompanied minors, which is a major problem not only plaguing France but all of Europe as well.
All three were indicted before being remanded in custody. The trio was already known to the police, and in their bags, the investigators found knives.
A judicial investigation for theft and murder has been opened, and investigators are also looking to determine how the three men entered the retirement home.

Lawyer claims: “None of the politicians has been vaccinated with the real vaccine”

How does it work? You can only join the network on the recommendation of someone who is already a member. You are then given a phone number to call to make an appointment and you have to say a certain phrase so they know it’s about “this”. You go to the doctor and the syringe is not put in your arm but in a container. The batch number is written in your vaccination certificate. Cost: 500 euros in cash per “syringe”.
Knapen notes that there is also a network for fake PCR tests. “That was also offered to me. It works something like this. The doctors who do this have ‘contaminated’ test tubes in their fridge. They stick your name on it, the test goes to the lab and comes back as ‘positive’. And voilà: you have a certificate of recovery.
The lawyer points out that a remarkable number of well-known stars and politicians have been in the news since January 2021 for allegedly testing positive and being in quarantine but not being sick. “I bet that they have used the network to get a certificate of recovery that will allow them to continue their work and be free.”
“I personally believe that no politician (not a single one!) has been vaccinated with the mRNA or the adenovirus. At worst, they have received a placebo,” Knapen points out. “The pharmaceutical giants, of course, know exactly which vials contain the real stuff and which contain a saline solution.”
Now that it has become known that more than 2200 fake vaccines and Covid passports have been sold in Spain, it is time for me to make the existence of these networks known in Belgium as well, Knapen concludes.

EU sets women’s quota for private boards
The European Union negotiators agreed on Tuesday on the first-ever quota for women on company boards by mid-2026. The law requires listed companies in the 27 EU member states to ensure that women hold at least 40 percent of non-executive board seats, or 33 percent of executive and non-executive roles combined, by mid-2026.
The project, which has been stalled for ten years, got a boost this year thanks to support from Germany and France. “We have finally succeeded in waking up Sleeping Beauty,” said Lara Wolters, a Dutch socialist and the European Parliament’s lead negotiator on the issue.
Gender representation on company boards varies widely from country to country. In Estonia, 9 percent of non-executive seats are held by women, and in France, over 45 percent. France has its own legal target of 40 percent and is the only EU country to exceed this figure.
The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), an EU agency, said in April that these binding quotas had proved more effective in improving boardroom balance than the more flexible or non-existent measures adopted by countries.
Women’s representation on EU boards increased after France, Germany and Italy introduced national targets from 2010. But progress has stalled recently, with less than a third of non-executive board members of the EU’s largest listed companies being women.
Although there are no sanctions for failing to meet the target, companies that reach it will be “publicly congratulated”.

Battle in the European Parliament: Polish MEP reminds VP Barley during debate that she called for Hungary and Poland to be ‘starved’
On Tuesday, the European Parliament debated the issue of EU funding for Poland, with left-wing MEPs calling on the EU to continue blocking financial aid to the country currently run by the conservative Law and Justice party (PiS). During the debate, a war of words erupted between Polish MEP Dominik Tarczyński and European Parliament Vice-President Katerina Barley, who has long called for funding to be cut to both Hungary and Poland.
Tarczyński, who serves in Poland’s ruling party, recalled Barley’s comments from two years ago, saying, “I would like to ask if it’s true that you said that Poland should be starved financially? Just indicate with your head yes or no. Did you use those words? Are you aware of how they sound in Poland, a country in which people starved to death as a result of what the Germans did? Can you appreciate what many Poles and Jews who starved at the hands of the Germans during the war must have felt at hearing such words?“ asked Tarczyński. The MEP also posted a clip of the debate, writing, “Another debate about Poland is currently underway. Mrs. Katarina Barley claims that she never said anything about starving Poles. This is what a debate about facts looks like in the EP.”
As noted, the German MEP hit back and denied having ever used the term “starve” in reference to Poles. “I have said it a million times; no, I never said that. I used the word when I was referring to corruption in Hungary. Maybe you [Dominik Tarczyński] know where the money goes in Hungary. All I said back then, is that we should make that source go dry, I said nothing about Poland,” said Barley.
However, Barley’s contention appears to be misleading. Barley did in fact mention Poland when talking about “starving” both Hungary and Poland, saying that EU citizens do not want their tax money to go to the Orbán and Kaczyński “regimes,” as Barley described them. Numerous Twitter users pointed to the original radio interview she gave on the subject.
Barley made the comments in October 2020 during a German radio interview where she called for more pressure to be applied to Poland and Hungary. Barley called for withholding EU subsidies and, specifically, “starving” Viktor Orbán financially, but then also called for money to be withheld from both Hungary and Poland.
“EU funds are an effective form of leverage,” she said.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen came under fire from MEPs for her decision to accept the Polish government’s operational program despite the dispute between the commission and Poland over rule-of-law compliance, according to Polish news outlet Dorzeczy. Tens of billions of euros due to Poland are currently frozen, but according to von der Leyen, if Poland reaches certain “milestones” in its judicial reform, the funds will slowly be unlocked.
In Tuesday’s debate, Barley criticized the European Commission for failing to demand that the Polish judiciary should at least be “in line with the principle of the rule of law. The reform proposed by Warsaw is not enough to ensure compliance with the rule of law as it evades the central issues involved.”
