France: At Le Mans station, a man throws stones towards passengers in the middle of the platform and shouts “Allah Akbar”

On Thursday June 23, 2022, a man jumped onto the tracks at Le Mans station (Sarthe). He shouted and threw stones before being overpowered by staff of the French railway company SNCF.

At around 9am, a man climbed onto the tracks. He shouted and threw stones at the passenger shelters.

He shouted “Allahu akbar”.
“We were standing on the platform,” reported Anne, who was about to catch her train to Rennes. “They stopped all the trains because there was a man running amok on the tracks. He took gravel in his hand and threw it violently against all the SNCF inventory, towards the platforms where there were many people, and towards the security staff. It still took a while for the police to intervene”.

“He was dangerous,” adds this eyewitness. “He made a speech that we didn’t understand. He was shouting ‘Allahu akbar’.”(…) Actu.fr

Germany’s top lifeguard advises against visits to open-air swimming pools because of violence committed by migrants

“I wouldn’t go to an open-air swimming pool with my three grandchildren” – says the head of all lifeguards in Germany, the President of the Association of Lifeguards, Peter Harzheim.

After the shocking brawl in an open-air swimming pool in Berlin last weekend, the President of the Association of Lifeguards, Peter Harzheim, has now commented in the newspaper “Bildzeitung” on the transformation of our open-air swimming pools into no-go areas.

Harzheim, who has been a lifeguard for almost half a century, says quite openly that he cannot recommend families to go to the open-air swimming pool on weekends at the moment. He has “three small grandchildren myself – if I went in there with them, I would simply be acting irresponsibly!”

With regard to the numerous thugs with a migration background shown on the video, which reproduces part of the brawl at the Berlin Insulaner open-air swimming pool, Harzheim judges: “When I see that, I dread to see these people. These people I see there have no respect for other people. This can’t go on like this.”

The head of the German police union, Rainer Wendt, who has recently been rather concerned with appeasing the government, expressed a similar opinion and accused the politicians of refusing to make clear statements about the background of the perpetrators:

“Politicians are shying away from the debate about these young men, most of them with a migration background.”

The baths should therefore better screen their audience, demands the president of the Association of Lifeguards. What that might look like in concrete terms is difficult to answer, of course… Here, a huge stress with politics and the current judiciary is pre-programmed.

But even these authorities do not seem to be in Harzheim’s favour: “It is not acceptable that people who commit crimes there are released after two hours. (…). Politics is turning a blind eye to the problems and leaving us in the lurch.”

And another comment from my side: It also seems doubtful whether the push by neo-feminist politics to allow women to appear “topless” in swimming pools and at bathing lakes is an effective remedy. The weekly Swiss newspaper “Weltwoche” even ran the headline: “Topless in open-air swimming pools? Yes, please! There is no better way to demonstrate that unconditional immigration and Western openness do not work.

Germany: “Youth” in front of mosque hurls knife at bus

A teenager hurls a jackknife at a bus on line 908 in the Bruckhausen district of Duisburg. It smashes through a window and almost hits a passenger.

According to the Duisburg police, a teenager hurled a jackknife at a bus on route 908 at around 9.10 pm on Monday. The bus was travelling on Dieselstraße in Bruckhausen when the driver suddenly heard a loud bang. The knife smashed through one of the rear glass panes and narrowly missed the head of a passenger (17).

The 17-year-old told the police that the bus passed a group of about five youths at the height of a mosque. One of them lunged and threw the knife at the bus. Police officers found the folding knife on a seat and seized it.

The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the group: The teenagers are said to be about 15 to 16 years old and 1.65 to 1.70 metres tall. One of them was wearing a beige-black waistcoat with blue jeans and a baseball cap. Information can be given to the Criminal Investigation Department 34 by calling 0203 2800.

Sexual harassment and mass brawls in German outdoor swimming pools – the perpetrators are mostly young Muslim men

What wonderful times those were, when you could visit an open-air swimming pool with the whole family without fear of getting into a mass brawl. Unfortunately, these times are over in more and more regions of Germany.

Three reports have been circulating in the last few days: In Kaufbeuren in Bavaria, three girls aged 12 were sexually harassed by a group of six. At the Bosen lido on Bostalsee in the tranquil Saarland, two families got into a wild fight over a barbecue area last Sunday.
And in the Steglitz district of Berlin, one hundred young men turned on each other after a fight with water pistols.

The perpetrator profile is the same in all cases: young Muslim men – or families with a migration background – with such a fragile sense of honour that a few splashes of water can cause them to be upset.

Germans who have money and space are therefore more and more often building a pool in their backyard, which probably also explains why our politicians have not been particularly interested in the outdoor pool as a crime scene.

Those who enjoy swimming at home, isolated from the “rabble”, do not have to worry about fellow citizens with a culturally determined low tolerance for frustration.

As in other areas, only ordinary citizens are expected to bear the consequences of migration.

That is antisocial. But in a country where the Minister of the Interior still talks about successful integration in the face of such scenes, it is not surprising.

Slaying of German refugee aid worker: police search for asylum seeker

After a murder committed with an axe in Kalletal, North Rhine-Westphalia, the manhunt for the Azerbaijani Elchin Agaev continues. The man, who had arrived in Germany as an asylum seeker, allegedly beat a refugee helper to death because he had an affair with his ex-girlfriend, the Bild newspaper reported.

According to the report, Agaev entered the flat where his ex-girlfriend and her lover were sleeping on Saturday night. There he killed his rival with an axe. Afterwards, he allegedly raped the woman in the flat.

The suspected murderer then fled in a car with his ex-partner and their two and five year old sons. After police officers stopped the car, the Azerbaijani fled on foot. Since then he has been on the run. According to his ex-girlfriend, Agaev had already killed one person in his home country.

The police suspect that the wanted man wants to approach Eastern European lorry drivers in order to continue his escape. They warn against approaching the 36-year-old.

As the victim’s widow reported, she had felt threatened by the Azerbaijani before the crime. Her husband had wanted to settle the situation.

An acquaintance of the family of the victim told the TV station RTL that the prime suspect had announced beforehand “that he would slaughter the whole family”. He complained that not enough had been undertaken. He, too, lived in fear, but instead of police protection, only increased patrols had been promised.

Majority of Europeans want peace

Even if it is at the expense of Ukraine, 35 percent of Europeans prefer peace with Russia and only 22 percent support a continuation of the war until a Russian defeat. Beyond that, divisions are widening in the EU, threatening unity.

Countries were interviewed for the survey by the European Council on Foreign Relations, including Great Britain, Finland, France, Poland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden.

With the exception of Poland, the majority of respondents in all countries wanted peace, even if this meant territorial concessions from Ukraine. Italians are most interested in peace, with an absolute majority of 52 percent wanting an end to the conflict. In Germany, 49 percent of respondents wanted peace, while only 16 percent were in favor of continuing the war.

Romania followed with a ratio of 42:23, France with 41:20 and Sweden with 38:22. In contrast, 41 percent of Poles want Russia defeated and punished, while only 16 percent support a negotiated peace deal.

In Germany, the AfD stands most clearly for peace negotiations with 78 percent. The proportion of peace advocates is 55 percent among the Social Democrats and 43 percent among the CDU/CSU. Even among the Greens, who have campaigned most strongly for Ukraine’s rearmament, the proportion of peace supporters (35 percent) is significantly higher than those who want to continue the war (22 percent).

In the eyes of most Europeans , there is one clear perpetrator of the war: Some 73 percent of all respondents blame Russia, while 15 percent believe Ukraine, the European Union and the United States are to blame.

Almost two-thirds (64 percent) of Europeans see Russia as the main obstacle to peace, while 35 percent blame Ukraine and the West, although they are particularly committed to continuing the war.

Peace is not always perceived the same: When asked whether the war should lead to a severing of relations with Russia, 50 percent of those who describe themselves as supporters of peace would end all economic, 42 percent all cultural and 40 percent all diplomatic ties with Russia.

Among those in favor of the war, 82 percent were in favor of a ban on Russian oil imports, 81 percent would supply Ukraine with additional weapons, and a slim majority of 52 percent would even send EU troops to defend Ukraine (and thus risk a world war).

Even among peace supporters, 52 percent were in favor of an oil embargo, 47 percent were in favor of arms deliveries to Ukraine and only 24 percent were in favor of sending troops.

Across all camps, a majority of Europeans believe that the war does Europe more harm than good. (A more precise question about the effect of the sanctions would have been appropriate here. But that was probably not what the European Council on Foreign Relations intended.)

Reducing energy dependency on Russia is considered more important by respondents (58 percent) than complying with climate targets (26 percent).

In the summary from the European Council on Foreign Relations, it noted that while Europeans felt strong solidarity with Ukraine and supported sanctions against Russia, they are divided on long-term goals. They are divided into a “peace” camp (35 percent of people) who want to end the war as soon as possible, and a “justice” camp who believe the more urgent goal is to punish Russia (25 percent).

In all countries – except Poland – the “peace” camp is larger than the “justice” camp. European citizens worry about the cost of economic sanctions and the risk of nuclear escalation. Unless something changes dramatically, they will resist a long and protracted war. Only in Poland, Germany, Sweden and Finland does increasing military spending enjoy broad public support.

“Governments will need to find a new language to bridge the gap between these emerging camps, in order to strengthen European unity and avoid polarisation between and within countries. The key will be to present arms deliveries and sanctions as part of a defensive war,” according to the ECFR.
