Tennis world shocked after scores of players drop out of Miami Open

Fifteen players have already dropped out of the Miami Open, an unprecedented number for a major sports event.

The tennis world reacted with shock after favorites Paula Badosa and Jannik Sinner had to retire during the quarterfinals of the Miami Open. Badosa, soon to be the number three in the world, became unwell during her match against Jessica Pegula and left the court in tears.

Badosa, who was comforted by her American opponent, decided to stop after consultation with her physiotherapist. Pegula reached the semifinals of the Miami tennis tournament for the first time in her career after Badosa’s resignation, reported Yahoo Sports.

In the men’s tournament, the Italian phenomenon Jannik Sinner was forced to withdraw. He gave up after 22 minutes in the game against Francisco Cerundolo, the number 103 in the world ranking. “When I served at 3-1 and 30-0, I saw him bend over. It was very strange,” Cerundolo said during an interview. “I hope he’s okay, he’s a great player.”

The 23-year-old Argentinian surprisingly reached the semifinals with his first participation in the master tournament in Miami.

It was the second game in a row that ended prematurely for the tennis fans. Fans reacted with shock to the bizarre tennis day. “What is going on?” someone asked.

Why I hope Viktor Orban wins on Sunday

By Mark Ivanyo

Viktor Orban has now served twelve years as Prime Minister of Hungary, emerging as one of the most exemplary conservative leaders of our time. On Sunday, he once again faces re-election, as he seeks to lead Hungary for a fourth term as Prime Minister. Although this is a pivotal election for Hungary and for Europe, it is also vital for American conservatives to hope and pray for an Orban victory.

For one, Orban has shown what populist conservatives can do when given sufficient time and political capital to succeed. While it is true that the system of government in Hungary and its relative age has prevented the development of a U.S.-style “deep state,” Orban’s refreshing

willingness to use power for ,conservative ends has not only allowed him to deliver on ideological priorities, but also to benefit the Hungarian people. His innovative family policies have seen birthrates rise; his independent foreign policy has allowed his country to wield outsized influence with regional and world powers; and his fortitude on immigration has helped preserve Hungarian national identity.

Over the last two years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know several leading officials within Orban’s government, including now-President Katalin Novak, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, and Political Director Balazs Orban. Like Prime Minister Orban, they are unashamedly patriotic, Christian and anti-establishment, drawing the ire of globalists from Brussels to Washington. Nevertheless, Orban’s government has stood strong, refusing to bow to these diktats and safeguarding the Hungarian nation’s sovereignty and the Hungarian people’s traditional values.

Now, these very globalists are striking back. As 2020 showed, the number one threat to U.S. national security is not any foreign adversary, but domestic subversion by an unaccountable elite that includes the permanent political class, the intelligence agencies, and the fake news media. This enemy is currently at the forefront of the effort to remove Viktor Orban. There, it seeks to oust a democratically elected leader simply for prioritizing his national interest over the latest “current thing”.

Using their vast NGO network, they have been funding and organizing subversive opposition groups for years – much as they did during the Trump presidency in the United States. This year, they have helped assemble a ragtag coalition of all the various opposition parties behind Peter Marki-Zay, a fake “conservative” manufactured to appeal to the hard working, small town Hungarian voters that have historically supported Orban. Marki-Zay’s motley crew even includes former communists and neo-Nazis. Yet, this coalition is laundered by globalist special interests and their allies in the U.S. media as an alliance for liberal democracy. In reality, these efforts expose the true face of modern “liberal democracy” – an authoritarian ideology hell-bent on world conquest, which is prepared to align with virtually anyone to achieve its goals, before ultimately discarding its former unsavory allies.

This same “liberal democracy” encourages the brutal crackdowns on protesters that took place in Australia and Canada in the name of public health. It pursues an endless “war on terror” until it aligns with Islamists to wage war in the Middle East – before backing communists against those very Islamists. It questions the integrity of an election where a non-liberal candidate prevailed with vague insinuations of Russian interference or mass data manipulation, while simultaneously condemning any criticism of elections where a liberal candidate prevailed as dangerous to democracy. Indeed, should Orban succeed in his re-election attempt, expect to see the State Department, the fake news media and international institutions with so-called “observers” question the outcome.

In addition, with the ongoing destabilization of neighboring Ukraine, a strong Hungary under Prime Minister Orban is critical. A weak and chaotic government in Budapest is exactly what these globalists want, as it is more likely to do their bidding. This will come at the expense of the Hungarian people, who will face indecision and disarray, and the American people, who will lose one of the few genuine allies we have in the world.

With President Trump having been ousted by election fraud and President Bolsonaro at risk of a similar coup, Orban may well be the last man standing in the Western national-populist movement. Just as he stood by us in January 2021 in recognizing Stop The Steal as an internal affair of the United States – at a time when most of the world’s nations were condemning our President and our movement – we should stand by him on Sunday.

Inflation in the Netherlands rises to almost 12 percent

The price that Dutch citizens have to pay because the US wants Ukraine to join NATO, is becoming quite steep.

Prices in the Netherlands have risen extremely fast since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), inflation rose to almost 12 percent last month.

In February inflation was 7,3 percent. An initial calculation shows inflation in March at 11,9 percent. Ukrainian president Zelensky has meanwhile found time to also admonish the Dutch cabinet for which he received a standing ovation.

Inflation in the Netherlands has been around the highest level in decades for some time now. That is because energy prices and fuel tariffs at the pump had already increased considerably before the conflict in Ukraine. This is partly due to the rapid economic recovery from the Corona crisis, which has created scarcity for many raw materials and also personnel in certain sectors.

The Russian operation in Ukraine subsequently boosted prices even more. Since then, the oil and gas markets have been very concerned that the fuel supply from Russia could dry up. And because energy is becoming more expensive, many other products are also going up in price. Energy is needed to manufacture goods. Companies then pass on their higher costs to consumers.

Hiding the truth

The Dutch government has already tried to implement measures to ease the pain for Dutch consumers. On Friday, an excise duty reduction came into effect, which means that motorists would save a little at the pump – about 8 euros per fill-up. Nevertheless, this kind of support from the cabinet cannot prevent the Dutch from declining in purchasing power this year, Prime Minister Mark Rutte has already warned.

Statistics Netherlands released the figure on Friday following the announcement of eurozone inflation by the European statistical office Eurostat later in the day. The European “harmonized method” was used, which was created to allow a comparison of inflation data from different European countries.

The calculation differs from the usual way in which Statistics Netherlands calculates inflation. Those regular figures will however not be published until April 7.

The financial consequences of 12 percent inflation cannot be compensated for by the government. That is what State Secretary Marnix van Rij (Tax Office) on Friday told the Council of Ministers.native advertising

The package of compensation measures that the cabinet announced earlier is not sufficient, according to van Rij. But the “exorbitant increase” of 12 percent that the Central Bureau of Statistics calculated for March “cannot be made up in purchasing power”.

“We will of course wait and see how it develops in the coming weeks and months,” said the minister about the high price increases. The last time inflation was this high was in the 1980s, Van Rij recalled. Yet one cannot compare the situation with the seventies or eighties since there are very low interest rates, which was “an advantage” he said.

Ukrainian refugees

Invoking state emergency law, mayors in the Netherlands are now obliged to organize the reception of Ukrainian refugees. State Secretary Eric Van der Burg announced this after the cabinet meeting on the war in Ukraine. If mayors do not cooperate, they will be sanctioned by the Minister of Justice.

It is a law that has only been enacted twice since the Second World War: Once during the oil crisis to regulate car-free Sundays and once to regulate the Corona curfew.

Now this emergency law is being dusted for the third time because the government is bracing for impact, according to Dutch outlet Nieuwsuur.

“Draconian measures are coming. The State Secretary is taking the first legal step for this,” reporter Arjan Noorlander commented.

German public broadcaster explains in Arabic how Muslim migrants can get their second wife from abroad

With its programme “WDRforyou”, the public broadcaster WDR in Cologne provides information in four languages on a variety of topics and also places a special focus on the migrant community in Germany. Most recently, the question “How do I bring my second wife to Germany?” was also addressed using a practical success story.

Not only acute questions such as obtaining work permits or residence permits in Germany, but also a very different highly important topic has now been addressed by WDR Cologne – namely: How do you get your second wife to Germany? The situation is explained in Arabic and German in the programme with the German-Iranian presenter Isabel Schayania, so that everyone is sure to understand.

Using the example of a Syrian man, it is actually quite simple: The man entered Germany with his wife and four children and was granted asylum. However, this wife was not the mother of his children – she was still in Syria. In order to reunite them with their offspring, they applied for family reunification. This was finally granted.

In many cases, especially in areas such as Berlin or the Ruhr region – the home of WDR – these second wives as single parents receive rent, operating costs and social welfare from the German state; the husband does not incur any additional costs.

WDR is the largest broadcaster of the German public broadcaster ARD and the second largest broadcaster in Europe.

Verboten: In Germany it is increasingly dangerous to criticize Islam

by Giulio Meotti

What has emerged in recent days from the Goethe University of Frankfurt shows us that Europe is no longer a real democracy, but an ideological oligarchy. The newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung tells us that Professor Susanne Schröter, director of the Frankfurt Research Center and professor at the Institute of Ethnology, reported that a young researcher’s political stance on Islam now plays an important role in his future career. If he speaks well of Islam, he will make a career, otherwise he will not.

Schröter denounced the “cancel culture” which seeks to ban politically or morally unpleasant positions from universities. She referred to graduate students whose dissertations were not accepted because they dealt with “wrong” topics. For example, “honor killings” in Islam. “If an anthropologist deals with Islam, his career is over,” said Schröter.

Political scientist and publicist Hamed Abdel-Samad, under guard for death threats from Islamists, reported that the universities of Augsburg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich did not allow him to hold an event on political Islam and to present the results of his research on the Koran. Hamed Abdel-Samad said: “The University of Augsburg, which once honored me with an award as a model Muslim, now refuses to allow me to critically discuss the Qur’an. The University of Munich, which once entrusted me with teaching Islamic history to German and foreign students, now refuses to let me discuss the results of my research on the Koran in an open dialogue with students and citizens.” Hamed Abdel-Samad he also sees a worrying development in freedom of expression in Germany: “Universities, intellectuals, officials of Islam and politicians of the central parties refuse to face an honest and open debate on Islam”.

“Critics of Islam must fear for their lives: death threats and attacks,” says Tichy magazine. “Anyone who criticizes Islamism must expect to be violently attacked in this country and without anyone being offended,” said journalist Jan Aleksander Karon. “In Germany it is increasingly dangerous to criticize Islam.”

Two years ago, the University of Frankfurt was at the center of controversy for a conference on the Islamic veil. The students accused the university of promoting “Islamophobia”, demanding the dismissal of the anthropologist Schröter, organizer of the conference. Of the ten speakers, four were escorted by bodyguards. “Because they are on the list of all radicals,” Schröter revealed. Then another lecture by Professor Schröter on “Political Islam” in the Marburg University Library was at the center of a boycott campaign.

The University of Mainz revoked the university status of the think tank for humanism and the Enlightenment because it invited Hamed-Abdel Samad to a lecture. And when the Egyptian sociologist received the Josef Neuberger medal, the Antifa attacked him at the University of Munich. One tried to punch him and called him a “fascist”, because Samad had written a book criticizing Mohammed.

Law scholar Reinhard Merkel spoke of a “latent threat of an informal sanction”. Anyone like him who expresses critical positions towards Islam or immigration is now dismissed as a “racist” without any further justification. “This is a very serious emotional threat. You are canceled as a moral person. You can be afraid of that, ”Merkel said. Historian Andreas Rödder has emphasized the subtle methods of exclusion. “It may consist in the refusal of publications or funding for research on topics that are no longer part of the accepted ‘moral corridor”.

-Former central banker Thilo Sarrazin was expelled from the SPD for criticizing Islam in two best sellers.

-Necla Kelek, an important personality of Turkish origin residing in Germany, who has written articles on arranged marriages and honor killings, can only speak in public under the protection of the police.

-Roger Koppel, director of the German newspaper Die Welt in 2006, escaped an attack by a Pakistani student, armed with a knife, who tried to break into his office. Koppel’s “crime” was that he republished the Danish cartoons about Mohammed.

-Gabrielle Brinkman is a famous and acclaimed German novelist, but she too suddenly ran out of publishing. In her novel Wem ehre Geburt (To whom the honor is due) there were some passages that, according to the lawyers of the Droste publishing house, could have irritated the Islamic community and exposed the publisher to lawsuits and intimidation. So the writer was asked to censor and correct the most delicate passages. Brinkman refused and was left without a publisher.

We are in the country which, of itself, claims to have overcome all taboos. Except one, which with demographics and religion will impose all the others on that country again.

France: Prison sentence for polygamist Mohamed who tried to force his son to have sex with his mother

On Thursday March 31, one had to have strong nerves in the courtroom in Tarbes, as this horrific case of domestic violence makes one’s blood run cold. 44-year-old Mohamed D. was put on trial for committing serious violence against his 18-year-old son and one of his partners on March 27 in Lannemezan. In the courtroom, his official wife and two of the lawful couple’s four children sit in the front row. On the opposite bench, the partner and her son sit as victims.

“You have been sharing your life between two households for 23 years, with the consent of your wife and your partner,” the presiding judge introduces the proceedings.

[…]
Mohamed D., who has already been convicted and imprisoned several times for domestic violence, especially against his lawful wife, and only narrowly escaped conviction for attempted murder a few years ago, admits to having got carr+ied away this time as well.

[…]
Mohamed D. attacks the older son and holds his head against the mattress. The knife slides along his neck. ” You insult him as a slut … and throw him out of the house in his underwear”. The blows then continue to beat down on the mother while the little boy hides under the duvet. And the family’s ordeal is far from over. The man brings his son back in, orders him to pull down his pants and has his partner strip naked. “You have five minutes to fuck your mother”, you told him. The two thought they were going to be killed and begged you to let them live.”

[…]
Despite Mohamed D.’s promise to the court to seek medical treatment and his pleas not to be sent to prison, the court sentenced him to three years’ imprisonment, of which 18 months would be suspended for two years on enhanced probation. As he made his way to the prison in Tarbes under police escort, his relatives cried out in tears: “Cheer up”.La Dépêche
