Zemmour praises Japan: The country takes in just 40 refugees a year

Supporters of zero immigration to France, including conservative presidential candidate Éric Zemmour, have praised Japan for its restrictive measures on both migration and asylum.

In a recent speech, Zemmour waxed lyrical about the migration policies of both Denmark and Switzerland, but also highlighted Japan, where there are “about 40” asylum applications accepted per year, a stance that he said Western European countries should be looking to emulate. As the TF1 Info reports, the figure, surprising at first glance, is corroborated by data from the Japanese authorities.

Irrespective of their origin, foreign nationals applying for asylum in Japan most often find themselves facing a brick wall. Asylum status is only granted with extreme parsimony, as evidenced by the figures published by Japan’s Ministry of Justice.

The data shows that since 2010, the number of accepted asylum applications fluctuated between six and 47, with the volume of applications varying from one year to another. Due to the pandemic, 2020 saw the number of requests decrease to almost a third.

The complex asylum procedures in Japan can be lengthy, sometimes taking several years (particularly in the event of an appeal of decisions), and asylum seekers have to manage complicated deadlines as they try to ensure their livelihood while waiting for a verdict without benefiting from specific support from the state.

“Very often, asylum seekers describe the conditions in their countries of origin or the events of which they have been victims, but these situations are not well-known in Japan,” explained Dirk Hebecker, representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Japan, to the Al Jazeera news outlet.

He added that persecuted minorities, like the Rohingyas, are not officially recognized. Consequently, the authorities consider that the requests for protection made by these communities’ members are illegitimate.

Japan refuses to change its migration policy

While Japan is undergoing a demographic crisis and its population ages dramatically, the Japanese government refuses to adapt its migration policy. The Japanese people are extremely disapproving of mass immigration. As Remix News previously reported, a tremendous 88 percent of Japanese support the country’s strict border controls. The country has instead decided to instead find ways around the issue of labor shortages through automation, robots, and other efficiencies whereas Western nations are attempting to do the exact opposite by importing hundreds of thousands of immigrants. The Japanese model has worked well for Japan, and the country does not feature the crimeterror attacks, and integration problems seen across the West due to uncontrolled migration and demographic replacement.

The fate of people in irregular situations is also the subject of some criticism, especially after the death of a 33-year-old young woman last summer. Placed in detention after her visa expired, the woman from Sri Lanka had asked to see doctors because of her state of health. Her requests were rejected several times until one day, she was found dead in her cell.

While such tragedies have occurred, Japan has not decided to fundamentally reshape its society as a result, even if the New York Times claims that episode “has sparked a national reflection in Japan, a country with a long historical hostility towards immigration.” As the above poll shows, Japanese see there are problems in the world, and have little desire to bring them to their well-ordered and prosperous island nation.

At the same time, observers point out that Japan is of the largest contributors to the UNHCR in the world, with the country naysayers claiming the country practices “checkbook humanitarianism.” Japanese authorities defend their position and point to integration failures and ongoing migration crises in Europe as problems they have little desire to emulate.

“Allah destroys France”: Man armed with knife arrested in Châlons-en-Champagne

The man had threatened several people in the days before his arrest. In police custody, he continued to attack police officers, the judiciary and France as a whole. A 31-year-old man was arrested with a stabbing weapon in Châlons-en-Champagne on Thursday March 31, police sources told Valeurs actuelles. He had subsequently threatened from his cell with the words “You are dead, you policemen, I am killing France, Allah is destroying France”. He was identified as Mohamed J. and was not mentally in good state of mind, the source said.

The man had first been reported to the police eleven days earlier by a shop owner who had reported him for making death threats. On March 31, the man had threatened and insulted a bus conductor when the latter approached him about not wearing a mask. Mohamed J. was then seen by the shopkeeper in question with a knife in his hand. He did not resist when arrested, but in police custody he appeared threatening. “Allah is destroying France, destroying Israel, destroying the French, the lawyers in France, all the prosecutors in France – Allah is destroying Macron,” he said. “The French have done damage in Algeria and Morocco. You are already dead men, you are a defeated people. I declare war on you, you are dead,” he said.

The person is listed in the Traitement d’antécédent judiciaires (Tag) file, which contains information about people who have been charged with a crime but not necessarily convicted, as well as their victims. The manwas, on the other hand, not known to the secret service.

The Magic Kingdom Supports Sexualizing Childhood

Once the epitome of childhood innocence and joy, the Disney Corporation has gone full “woke,” endorsing and supporting a dangerous grammar-school curriculum that exposes prepubescent children to inappropriate sexual information. Pressured by activists, including Disney employees, Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek publicly renounced Florida’s recently passed Parental Rights in Education law––dishonestly labeled by critics the “Don’t say gay” law–– which forbids curriculum from kindergarten to third grade from including content on “sexual orientation or gender identity.”

This assault on childhood innocence in the name of “tolerance” and identity-politics activism marks a dangerous escalation in the decades-long ideological transformation of sexual mores away from common sense, faith, and traditional morality. This escalation puts at risk children’s sexual development and psychological health by exposing them to materials and information they are not ready for, while sidelining parents’ responsibility and right to oversee this vulnerable period in their children’s lives.

This episode highlights several cultural and political developments that have been going on for many decades. The attempt to usurp parents’ right to raise their kids according to their morality and principles reflects the progressive technocratic hubris that they, rather than families or churches, are better suited for properly raising and educating children. The irony is, it hasn’t been science that supports that claim, but scientism: disciplines like psychology and sociology that oversimplify human nature and motivation, and impose ideologically loaded paradigms and practices on public schools.

The consequences have been the concentration of power in government agencies that create laws and regulations reflecting these ideological and political biases; and the subsequent constriction of citizens’ freedom to manage their personal lives according to their beliefs, morality, and principles. Moreover, this usurpation of parental authority and agency serves a broader political agenda: weakening our political order of unalienable rights, separated powers, and state sovereignty that were created to thwart such concentrated intrusive power.

So it’s no coincidence that Florida, a key state in national elections, and its firebrand governor Ron DeSantis are being attacked.  National polls show majorities––in one poll 61%–– supportFlorida’s law, and a looming midterm election that already looks dismal for Dems, threaten the progressives’ ambitions to expand the scope and reach of their power in order to further weaken civil society, private life, and federalism. Schools are critical to these efforts: after all, from the Jesuits to the Bolsheviks, controlling education has been the best way to shape people to conform to one’s ideology.

The second development has been the hyper-sexualization of our culture that started among cognitive elites in late 18th century, flourished during the late Victorian era, expanded in postwar years, and rapidly accelerated and widened in the Sixties. That’s when “sexual liberation” was hijacked by cultural Marxism and marketed as political liberation: As Sixties pop guru Norman O. Brown wrote, “The life instinct, or sexual instinct, demands activity of a kind that in contrast to our current mode of activity can only be called play. The life instinct also demands a union with others, and with the world around us, based not on anxiety and aggression but on narcissism and erotic exuberance.” Thus sexual license and hedonism were legitimized as a liberating political act.

Bestowed with such intellectual authority and respectability, sexual license spread throughout the culture, especially among the cognitive elites in universities, publishing, and Hollywood. Sexual preferences and acts once kept hidden or considered perversions became public and celebrated in popular culture. Movies, cable television, and later the internet distributed sexuality throughout the culture. And greater secularization turned traditionalists, people of faith, and conservatives into repressed witch-burning Puritans, or “Republican troglodytes,” as the Wall Street Journal put it. Sexual license became a sign of cosmopolitan sophistication and intellectual superiority.

Worse yet, sexual awareness and practice started appearing at younger and younger ages, as Tom Wolfe noted in his brilliant 2000 essay “Hooking Up.” The “sexual revolution,” Wolfe writes, had become a “lurid carnival.” Soft and hard pornography colonized public life and popular culture from movies, magazines, and television to the internet and mainstream advertising. Perversions like sadomasochism became chic, its appurtenances fashion statements, and later its practice the theme of a best-selling series of novels and popular movies.

Meanwhile, Wolf goes on, sexual stimuli bombarded the young so incessantly and intensely they were inflamed with a randy itch long before reaching puberty. At puberty the dams, if any were left, burst . . . From age thirteen, American girls were under pressure to maintain a façade of sexual experience and sophistication. Among girls, “virgin” was a term of contempt . . . The term “dating” was now deader than “proletariat” or “pornography” or “perversion.”

In other words, for at least four decades childhood was being sexualized, a process endorsed and promoted not just by bottom-line corporations who know that sex sells, but leftist activists eager to get a head start on reshaping the next generation of the masses before their reactionary parents politically deformed them.

The promotion of sexualized curriculum in the first four years of public education is, then, a logical progression. Public sexual license by its nature must continually expand into more forbidden or exotic practices. Consider how nudity and sexual acts in even sedate, highbrow series like Outlander are de rigueur. There was a time when seeing a woman’s breasts on television was an exciting novelty. Now even teenagers are blasé about them, given the sexual smorgasbord spread out on media and the internet 24/7/365.

Children are the next frontier both for the sex industry and proselytizing progressives. Exposing young children to sexual material––a tactic of pedophilic grooming–– used to be a crime; now it’s a curriculum, and one defended by politicians, teachers, professors, and celebrities. Ignored are the 50 years of experience with the wages of the “sexual revolution”: venereal plagues, the breakdown of the family, increases in teen pregnancies, millions of abortions, broken homes without fathers, and the general degradation, especially for women, that comes from reducing people to fungible objects of another’s carnal pleasure.

Finally, this long deterioration of our sexual habits and mores reflects a much older cultural trend: the idealization of sexuality that began during the Romantic period and flourished among the Victorian elite. In high culture like Goethe’s  Sorrows of Young Werther we begin to see even illicit sexuality idealized for its power to fulfill and express one’s sensitive and passionate identity, one superior to the vulgar bourgeoise who by “getting and spending lay waste [their] powers” as Romantic poet William Wordsworth put it.

But as the Greeks, the Romans, and the Hebrews understood, sex is a dangerous, volatile power, a “killer,” as Sophocles called it. As such it requires cultural guardrails in the form of public mores, laws, customs, religious strictures, virtues, and institutions like marriage to keep sexual passion from becoming destructive. It wasn’t Helen’s beauty that “burnt the topless towers of Ilium,” it was her preternatural sexual power that drove her into an adulterous liaison that cost thousands of Greek and Trojan lives.

This targeting of prepubescent children by “woke” schools may be one dangerous absurdity too far. The attack on Florida’s law to protect parents and children is much less popular than the support for it, especially with parents, 67% of whom support the law. Along with other power-grabs in public schools like Critical Race Theory and ethnic studies, requiring sexualized curriculum in kindergarten exposes the pseudo-scientific arrogance and intolerance of the “woke” Dems.

If such rank absurdities––on top of rampant inflation, the porous border, and the suicidal war on carbon that has damaged our economy and left the West hostage to Putin––are all the Democrats have to offer, November 8 will be another electoral shellacking of the Democrats.

INFLATION CRISIS: Aldi to impose 50% price hike

France’s former intelligence chief warns against possible civil war due to mass immigration

France and Europe must abandon mass immigration and radically change their immigration policies, warned Pierre Brochand, who served as director of the French DGSE from 2002 to 2008, during an interview published in one of France’s most influential newspapers, “Le Figaro.”

“All ‘multicultural’ societies are doomed to more or less deep rifts,” explains Brochand, who was one of the longest-serving directors of the DGSE, an agency he headed for six years and which is the French equivalent of the American CIA and the British MI6. “In such a situation, it happens that minorities are violent winners, and majorities placid losers.”

During his career, Brochand has also been a French ambassador, notably in Hungary and Israel. Already in July 2019, he publicly expressed his fear of a civil war in France because of uncontrolled immigration.

His interview for Le Figaro was published on March 24 in the context of a new conflagration in the French ethnic suburbs, particularly in Paris and Lyon. Since last week, the cities of Sevran and Aulnay-sous-Bois in the suburbs of Paris have been the scenes of true urban guerrilla warfare, and similar scenes have been seen in Villeurbanne and Vénissieux, in the suburbs of Lyon. Each time, it is incidents between police officers trying to enforce the law and violent multi-recidivist criminals that were the initial cause of riots, shootings, and multiple fires, with ambushes set up against the police squads called in as reinforcements.

For the former DGSE head, if there is so much talk about immigration in France today, it is because it is “increasingly difficult to prevent the French from seeing what they see,” and also because “a breakthrough personality has suddenly appeared in the formulaic world of politics that has encouraged them to open their eyes.”

Clearly, Brochand is referring to Éric Zemmour, who has succeeded in placing immigration at the heart of the current electoral campaign, even if he does not seem to benefit from it himself, according to the latest polls, which place him at only about 10 percent of voting intentions, far behind Marine Le Pen, who is at about 20 percent for the first round due to be held on April 10. But should we believe the polls when Zemmour continues to draw crowds to his election rallies and break audience records during his television appearances? Zemmour succeeded in gathering several tens of thousands of supporters last Sunday at the Trocadero square in Paris, which no other candidate has managed to do.

Or maybe through Zemmour’s politically incorrect speech, his role will be limited to giving Marine Le Pen an image of moderation that will allow her to win against Emmanuel Macron in the second round of the presidential election on April 24? This is what supporters of Macron are beginning to fear if we are to believe the comments coming from the French mainstream (mostly pro-Macron) media in recent days.

In any case, according to the former head of the DGSE, who is by no means the first personality to warn the French on this subject, if Emmanuel Macron is re-elected and France does not radically change its policy, a civil war is on the horizon.

“For my part,” Brochand insists, “I hold the type of immigration, which we have been experiencing for half a century, to be an event ‘out of category,’ without precedent in our history. And, quite honestly, I confess that I do not understand how free and enlightened minds can still underestimate its seriousness.”

And yet, he explains, in order to see the seriousness of it “one just needs to enumerate coldly its characteristics” and look at “the impact of what is happening to us:” The massive immigration flows, the type of immigration, with mostly migrant settlers, the “absence of political and economic regulation,” the fact immigrants are mostly from outside Europe and in large part Muslims, their “spirit of post-colonial revenge,” their “reluctance to mix” with the French, their “preference for endogamy,” their “crystallization in diasporas,” their fertility rate, which is higher than that of the French, and above all their “non-convergent evolution over generations,” i.e. the fact that younger generations born of immigrants are “even less integrated with French society than their parents.”

For the former head of French intelligence, “this gradual upheaval of the French population, if not the only challenge we face, is the only one that directly threatens civil peace on our territory.”

Brochand gives a solution, however, which happens to be the one advocated by Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour: “If we really want to regain control over our demography, we have no other choice than to make a 180-degree turnaround, that is to say, to send the message, urbi et orbi, loud and clear, that France will no longer be, for the foreseeable future, a welcoming country. This implies a global approach to the problem and unabated resolve in its implementation.”

Indeed, he explains in words that we have heard in the past from the leaders of the Visegrád Group and in particular from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, “all immigration is activated by both a ’push’ factor (which encourages people to leave their country of origin) and a ’pull’ factor (which attracts them to the country of destination). Since we do not have much leverage on the first factor — the ritual invocation of ‘co-development’ no longer fools anyone — we have no other solution than to reduce our attractiveness to zero.”

To achieve this, Brochand says, it is necessary to do a “colossal, historical ‘backpedaling’ work in order to restore the national state’s ‘power to do and prevent,’ in place of the usual ‘laissez-faire, laissez-passer’ approach, that the society of the individuals and its European extension propose to us.”

“Is it too late?” the Figaro interviewer asked him. Brochand’s answer was: “In any case, it is very late. Let us face it: We are no longer dealing with dispersed individuals, that is to say, so many ‘special cases,’ each in search of a better future, but with diasporas.” Now, explains the former DGSE director, “a diaspora is an entity, formed by immigrants and their descendants — including, crucially, French nationals — who are grouped together and whose numbers reach a critical mass sufficient for social pressure to encourage the perpetuation of the beliefs and ways of life of the countries of origin, with which relations remain tense. This way, more or less closed foreign enclaves are spontaneously formed that turn their backs on the host country and its customs.”

Unfortunately, the former head of French intelligence is very pessimistic about his country’s future:

“While I refuse to give up hope, I do not have too much illusion either about the possibility of the authorities regaining control over immigration flows. When we see that the program of the incumbent president, who is running for his re-election, continues to superbly ignore the subject, one cannot but reflect on how much history can be inescapable and irreversible, even when it leads us straight to the greatest misfortunes. (…) All my accumulated experiences make me foresee a dark, and even very dark, future for our children and grandchildren. At best, they are heading toward an unsuspected collapse of their quality of life (an implosion); at worst, we are leading them to terrible confrontations (an explosion). Most likely, there will be a combination of the two amid growing confusion.”

France: Anti-Semitic slogans at Islamo-left university

The Union of French Jewish Students (UEJF) published several photos of anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls of the University of Nanterre in the Hauts-de-Seine department on Thursday March 31, reports Cnews. The photos show “Hitler you are the best” written in red felt-tip pen or a Star of David under the word “media”. Another picture shows a phrase referring to the gas chambers.

The Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) immediately reported these actions and denounced them to the university management. “For more than twenty years, the University of Nanterre has been the epicentre of anti-Zionist, indigenist discourse in the academic world. It is basically here where the extreme left, but also the Islamist movements, first gained a foothold at the university, and they hold an extraordinary sway there today,” Yonathan Arfi, a member of CRIF’s executive office, criticised to Cnews.

For its part, the University of Nanterre released a statement on social media condemning the acts and stating that a cleaning operation was currently underway to remove the anti-Semitic graffiti. An internal investigation has also been launched. ” We ask you to report any such graffiti to us,” the university added. Anti-Semitic tags had already been discovered on the faculty’s premises last autumn. A year earlier, the façade of Science-Po Paris had been graffitied with the words “Death to Israel”.

How France issued a visa for an Erasmus programme to a jihadist accused of war crimes in Syria

The Court of Appeal in Paris has rejected the appeal of a former Syrian Islamist rebel against his charges of torture, war crimes and aiding and abetting kidnapping. This was announced by the Paris Prosecutor General in a press release on Monday April 4.Le Figaro

Majdi Mustafa Nema, alias Islam Allouche, was charged in France at the end of January. The Syrian was enrolled at a French research institute with the Erasmus+ programme and had a valid visa.

Majdi Mustafa Nema, alias Islam Allouche, was charged in France at the end of January. The Syrian was enrolled at a French research institute with the Erasmus+ programme and had a valid visa.

As a former senior leader of a Syrian Salafist group, he was charged and detained in France at the end of January. The question remains how Majdi Mustafa Nema, alias Islam Allouche, obtained a visa for France. How could a man who has since been charged by the French judiciary with “torture and aiding and abetting”, “war crimes” and “aiding and abetting kidnappings” enrol in a French research institute with the Erasmus+ programme and a valid visa? An overview of a case full of ambiguities.
