Afghan migrant commits deadly attack in Villeurbanne, France, on people who “do not read the Quran”: judges declare him criminally not liable for punishment

[…] On August 31, 2019, a man had caused a panic at the Laurent-Bonnevay bus station in Villeurbanne. Sultan Mohamed Niazi had just attacked fourteen passers-by with a kitchen knife and a barbecue fork. Timothy Bonnet, 19, who had been attacked from behind, died of his injuries. Eight other people had been hit and injured.
Unsurprisingly, the schizophrenic attacker was declared criminally not liable. He is currently in solitary confinement in Corbas prison and will be committed to psychiatric care, probably in a unit for the seriously disturbed (UMD), as his condition is increasingly deteriorating. The decision was announced by the Investigatory Chamber […] on Tuesday. Le Progrès

55% of French agree with ‘remigration ministry’ concept proposed by Zemmour

A majority of French people are in favor of Éric Zemmour’s proposal, which would invovle the eventual deportation of 1 million foreigners, according to an OpinionWay poll for Valeurs news outlet. A week ago, the presidential candidate proposed to create the so-called Ministry of Remigration.

The survey of 1,058 French people showed that most of them agree with the idea, with 55 percent of respondents declaring themselves in favor of such a ministry. The office would be in charge of the expulsion of illegal foreigners, delinquents, and criminals.

“That hardly surprises me. It is the media and the politicians who say that our proposals are divisive. In the country, they are consensual,” Zemmour stated.

Strongly contested by all of his opponents in this presidential campaign, his project is nevertheless acclaimed by many sympathizers, especially on the right who see mass immigration as an existential threat to the French peopleand the future demographics of the country.

Unsurprisingly, 93 percent of Zemmour’s backers agrees with the creation of a Ministry of Remigration. Supporters of Marine Le Pen (76%) and Valérie Pécresse (61%) are also mostly in favor of the proposal. More surprisingly, though real, opposition from left-wing sympathizers is not as pronounced as expected, with 34 percent of voters for Yannick Jadot and Jean-Luc Mélenchon saying they agree with the proposal defended by Éric Zemmour.

“The fact that 48 percent of Emmanuel Macron‘s electorate is in favor of the creation of a ministry of remigration was not intuitively expected,” underlines the vice-president of OpinionWay Bruno Jeanbart.

A concept rejected by Marine Le Pen and Les Républicains

Announced for the first time on Mar. 21, Zemmour‘s Ministry of Remigration is designed as an infrastructure that would make it possible to return, in five years, nearly a million “undesirable” foreigners.

“The ministry will have means, documents available. We will do joint flights. As soon as I am elected, I will travel to Morocco to meet with the leaders about how we can organize this,” Zemmour added.

Since then, his opponents have criticized the proposal. On Mar. 22, during the debate organized by Valeurs news outlet, Eric Ciotti affirmed his opposition to the proposal of his “friend” Éric Zemmour. Pécresse’s security officer said that it is an empty slogan. Marine Le Pen claimed that the concept of “remigration” was “totally anti-republican” and “deeply unfair.”

British barrister sanctioned for “offensive” Muslim tweet wins appeal

A Bar Standards Board (BSB) panel applied too low a threshold in sanctioning a barrister for a tweet about Muslims that it said would cause offence, a tribunal has ruled.

The Bar Tribunal and Adjudication Service tribunal overturned the administrative sanction and £500 fine imposed on Jon Holbrook, who hailed the decision as a victory for free speech.

The tribunal said the “mere causing of offence” was not enough to damage public trust in the profession given the importance of freedom of expression; it needed to be more serious.

Last year, Mr Holbrook found himself in the middle of a social media storm after one tweet in particular, which led to him being expelled from Cornerstone Chambers, although he said he had resigned four days earlier.

The BSB investigated Mr Holbrook over 18 tweets in all and cleared him in respect of 17 of them – including the one which triggered the probe – because they expressed his personal political opinions.

The exception was a response to a tweet calling on the French authorities to shut down Charlie Hebdo magazine following the beheading of schoolteacher Samuel Paty by an Islamist after he showed his class cartoons from the magazine depicting the prophet Muhammad.

The barrister wrote: “Free speech is dying & Islamists & other Muslims are playing a central role. Who will lead the struggle to reinstate free speech as the foundation of all other freedoms?”

The BSB’s independent decision-making panel (IDP) said the ordinary reasonable reader would understand this to mean that the Muslim community was to blame for curtailing free speech.

The panel considered that this “would not only cause offence but could promote hostility towards Muslims as a group”. This was likely to diminish public trust and confidence in breach of core duty (CD) 5 of the BSB Handbook.

It imposed an ‘administrative’ sanction of a warning about his future conduct online and £500 fine.

Mr Holbrook appealed. The tribunal, chaired by Lyndsey de Mestre QC, rejected Mr Holbrook’s contention that the IDP had sanctioned him for his beliefs; the central issue, it said, was where the line was drawn between speech which did and did not breach CD5.

“Given the importance ascribed to freedom of expression in the authorities… it follows that, for the expression of a political belief to be such that it diminishes the trust of the public in the particular barrister or in the profession as a whole, [it] will require something more than the mere causing of offence.

“At the very least, the relevant speech would have to be ‘seriously offensive’ or ‘seriously discreditable’ as suggested in the BSB guidance.

“Even in such cases, there would have to be a close consideration of the facts to establish that the speech had gone beyond the wide latitude allowed for the expression of a political belief, particularly where the speech was delivered without any derogatory or abusive language and the objection was taken to the political belief or message being espoused, rather than the manner in which that belief or message was being delivered.”

While the BSB’s social media guidance cautioned that “comments that you reasonably consider to be in good taste may be considered distasteful or offensive by others”, the tribunal said this did not “water down the protection afforded to freedom of expression in the political sphere”.

In any case, the IDP had not found Mr Holbrook intended to insult or demean anyone by his tweet.

This meant that the baseline for a breach of CD5 “should be set higher than merely that a comment would simply offend”.

The IDP’s finding that the tweet “could promote hostility”, being expressed conditionally, also fell short of the seriousness required to breach CD5.

Mr Holbrook said the BSB had tried to punish him for “crimes against a woke ideology” and accused it of determining its boundaries on political speech “at Islington dinner parties”.

He continued: “The ruling has confirmed that my fundamental democratic right of free speech was abridged by the BSB-imposed sanction.

“The appeal panel has set aside the sanction, but, more importantly, confirmed that regulators and others who seek to infringe the right to speak freely, do so at risk of acting unlawfully.”

The BSB declined to comment.

More than half of the French are pro-Russian

Efforts by the French mainstream media to turn the electorate against Russia have not been successful: 52 percent of French people are pro-Russian.

A recent survey showed that 52 percent of respondents believe at least one of the Russian claims about the origin of the war in Ukraine. For example, 28 percent believe that the Russian intervention is supported by Russian-speaking Ukrainians who want to free themselves from the persecution they are suffering. And 10 percent say they believe that “Ukraine is currently governed by a junta infiltrated by neo-Nazi movements”.

Supporters of leftwing Jean-Luc Mélenchon and rightwing Éric Zemmour, were especially pro-Russian, cutting across political divisions, the Ifop survey revealed.

Anti-Russian pundits on CNews were distraught by the result of the poll and tried to hide the problem. Dailymotion, the mainstream video platform, hastened to add that “35 percent of French people say they believe in conspiracy theories”, suggesting that the Russian position in the conflict was a de facto conspiracy because “71 percent of anti-vaxxers believe the Putin narrative on Ukraine”.

The information war led by the Kremlin benefits “from a context of ‘post-Covid’ information fog” which would be conducive “to the rise of conspiracy theories”, pollster Ifop stated.

The conclusion is that President Putin is a liar, and the French who refuse to be injected with an untested product are paranoid.

But this kind of amalgam threatens the unpopular tentacular catechism of globalism: Neoliberalism, forced vaccination, LGBTQs, open borders, transgenders, mercantilism, climate hysteria and pederasty. Thus, it stands to reason that when some tenets eventually implode, the whole construct will disappear.

German city of Cologne wants to do without cathedral in logo – now comes the mosque?

German humour takes some time to get used to for many outsiders, especially when it comes from the carnival stronghold of Cologne. But there is one thing most people in Cologne can’t take a joke about: their cityscape-defining cathedral, one of the largest churches in Germany. For three years now, however, it has had competition from the DITIB mosque in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.

Only eight years ago, the city was subjected to ridicule when the 40,000 euro city logo was presented: It showed the cathedral only as two prongs as in a red heartbeat illustration, the Rhine was only a curve. Equally unlucky was Cathedral Provost Guido Assmann last year, who presented the new emblem for the diocese, for which he paid a whole 80,000 euros – and which in the end turned out to be a variant of the 50-year-old emblem of the “Berchtesgaden National Park”.

Now the metropolis has one more farce – a new logo has been presented, at least in the city colours red and white. But now completely without the cathedral. Now the internet is raging again, and those responsible are being accused of wanting to hide the cathedral in favour of the new and very controversial mosque building in the district of Ehrenfeld.

It must have been a forefather of the cathedral provost Guido Assmann who said: “You can do it like the priest Assmann. He did it like Father Nolte. He did it the way he wanted…”.

The mother of the victim of an Islamist attack, Julien Vinson, confirms: “Macron is a murderer!”

Julien Vinson

All the “progressive” do-gooders keep talking about the “Macron, murderer!” shouts of the crowd at Eric Zemmour’s rally and show themselves horrified …

One had to listen to “France-Info” this morning, ranting endlessly about this outcry of the people …

But indeed, Macron is a murderer.

It is his policies that make possible such heinous crimes as the murder of Julien Vinson.

There are dozens of murders like this every year in our France, which has been turned into a hell by the “progressives” à la Macron.

The French hope that somehow they will get away with the violence unleashed against them, that nothing will happen to them.

But at some point …

Flashback:

On Saturday April 4, 44-year-old Julien Vinson had gone out to open his shutters in Romans-sur-Isère in the department of Drôme when he was stabbed to death in front of his 12-year-old son.

“Julien came out of the house with his 12-year-old son. The man lunged at his child and Julien just had time to get in front of his son to protect him. He intercepted the knife stabs. He was killed in front of his son, I can’t believe it, this is a sick thing,” his sad friend reported.

The attacker had also killed another man, Thierry Nivon, who had come to shop, and injured five others.

The 33-year-old perpetrator, Abdallah Ahmed-Osman, was charged with murder in connection with a terrorist plot.

Unfortunately, due to the containment measures against the coronavirus, the funeral on Friday was held in camera. Only very close family members were allowed to attend the ceremony in Romans-sur-Isère.

The population had to remain under quarantine and could not pay their last respects to Julien Vinson, whose face and name were very well known in the town of 33,000 inhabitants in the department of Drôme.

Vincent’s mother, heartbroken by the murder, calls to vote for Eric:
