The highest court in the Spanish state of the Basque Country has put an end to the introduction of the Corona pass. The local authorities want to introduce the pass for restaurants and cafes, among other things, but according to the court, the health pass is not necessary now that the Basque Country has a vaccination rate of about 90 percent.

The court also found that the pass infringed too much on privacy. Seven Spanish federal states are currently investigating the introduction of the QR code as a requirement to take part in nightlife activities. The news was not reported by any mainstream outlet.

It is not the first time that the judge in the Basque Country has put an end to Corona plans from the local authorities, according to Dutch reporter Rop Zoutberg.

The QR code as a means to enjoy nightlife already exists in the Balearic Islands, in Catalonia and Galicia, but remarkably, the Supreme judicial body in the Basque Country rejected the introduction of a health pass. The regional government wanted to introduce the pass for cafes, restaurants and discotheques.

Spain is no longer subject to a state of alarm, and therefore regional authorities do not have a legal framework to introduce restrictions that affect fundamental rights, such as limiting or restricting freedom of movement. As a result, all measures – such as demanding a Covid pass to enter certain venues – must be approved by the courts.

Spain’s lower courts have reached different rulings on Covid restrictions. In Catalonia, for example, the Covid pass was approved, but in Aragón and Andalusia it was ruled out. The region can then appeal to the Supreme Court if it does not agree with the ruling. In Galicia, pilgrims on their way to Santiago have to deal with a mandatory Corona pass, explained Zoutberg, the Dutch NOS correspondent in Spain and Portugal.

Spain sets an example for the rest of the world

“The Spanish constitutional state is emerging as a textbook example for the world,” said Dutch lawyer Ghislen Nysten. “There have already been several good rulings in several regions, including against the illegally declared lockdowns,” he added.

Nysten noted that it was a “shame” that the Dutch constitutional state was “sinking deeper and deeper”. Covid cases in the Netherlands continue to rise despite strict measures and high vaccination rates. But instead of admitting failure, the government blamed citizens and are calling for harsher restrictions.

Health experts told Spanish daily El País that the introduction and widened use of a Covid pass could perhaps encourage the unvaccinated to get the jab, but they did not believe that it would reduce contagion in any way.

“It’s a measure from governments to make it look like they’re doing something,” Salvador Peiró, an epidemiologist from Valencia’s Foundation to Foster Health and Biomedical Investigation (Fisabio), told the newspaper. “It could give a false sense of security. It makes certain sense with respect to encouraging vaccination, but not when it comes to cutting chains of transmission. The vaccinated may curb transmission a bit, but they can still get infected and infect others.”

A former director of emergencies at the World Health Organization (WHO) agreed with Peiró. Daniel López-Acuña said that flashing the QR code at entrances would not be enough to bring down cases.

“980 hate crimes against Christians, 70 percent more than in 2020/”

“2316 hate crime against Jews, almost 400% more than in 2020.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) released a report on how hate crimes against Christians and Jews have increased dramatically. Compared to the previous year (578), it means a 70 percent increase in crimes against Christians. The number of anti-Semitic hate crimes also increased, from 600 to 2,316.

“The massive increase in the number of hate crimes should open the eyes of political and cultural elites”, warned Madeleine Enzlberger, director of the Observatory on intolerance and discrimination: “In the media and politically, hatred for Christians it is hardly noticed”. And the actual number of hate crimes is significantly higher than reported. Only eleven countries submitted data on crimes. But the Council of Europe is engaged in progressive advertising in favor of the hijab…

“In Germany”, PI-News explained, “a creeping war is underway against everything that symbolizes Christianity: attacks on crosses placed on top of the mountains, sacred statues on the street, churches and recently also of cemeteries”. A local newspaper reports that in Dülmen, a city with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, “not a day goes by without religious statues being attacked in the urban center and in the immediate vicinity”. In France, on average two churches are vandalized every day.

“Will they stop and burn an empty church? Will they stop to behead statues?”, asked Ellen Fantini, director of the Vienna Observatory on intolerance and discrimination two years ago. Only in the last year have we seen Catholic faithful killed in the Nice basilica, the murder of a British parliamentarian in the church and, most recently, a terrorist plot to hit Liverpool Cathedral.

Meanwhile, a poll by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee of leaders of Jewish communities in Europe found that 23 percent are considering emigrating. More than two-thirds said they expected an increase in anti-Semitism in Europe over the next decade, and 22 percent said they didn’t feel safe in their cities, up from 7 percent in 2008.

Speaking to Le Point, Pinchas Goldschmidt, the president of the Conference of European Rabbis, when asked if he feels safer on the street, in Moscow, where he lives, or in Paris or Brussels where he goes regularly, replied: “I feel much safer in Moscow. Especially since I was personally attacked in Brussels. Three months ago I met Jews in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, who moved there because they feel safer than in Paris or Brussels. In an Arab country!”.

Then Goldschmidt gets out impressive numbers: “A few years ago, there were 1.6 million Jews left in Europe. Today that number has dropped by at least 300,000.”

We all know who the culprit is behind this creeping, sinuous and daily persecution whose traces are covered by the media and servile politicians. Self-hatred of the West by the “great consciences”, always ready to denounce fascism among their opponents, has made them cross the limits of decency.

The attacker, a suspected Hamas terrorist, opened fire on passers-by with a submachine gun on Sunday, killing one Israeli and injuring three others before police could stop him. He died on the spot.

And what does German public broadcaster ZDF do? Turns the news into the opposite.

“Israel: a Palestinian shot dead” was the headline of the “heute” news programme. The public broadcaster thus did not focus on the victims, but on the assassin who had been killed by security forces. The fact that his death was preceded by an attack that he himself carried out is not reported.

According to the authorities, the attacker shot at the entrance to the Temple Mount with a rapid-fire weapon and also had a knife with him. The perpetrator is said to be an Islamic religious teacher (42). The radical Islamist Hamas welcomed the attack.

It is unclear why ZDF first reported on the assassin who was shot and only then discussed the victims. At least the editors later corrected the report, which distorted the actual events by declaring the assassin to be the victim.

A spokesperson for the station told the newspaper BILD: “In the ‘heute Xpress’ edition, ‘Israel: a Palestinian shot dead’ was first inserted. The title subsequently used in the ‘heute’ editions at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. ‘Attack in Jerusalem’ is the correct one.'”

It was the eve of Valentine’s Day in 2020. Inès and Sébastien, two young people from Colombes in the middle of a love affair, were planning to celebrate the day of lovers. But Inès’ brother, who viewed his sister’s relationship with suspicion, would not allow it. Following several months of investigations, Italian police have arrested a 28-year-old Moroccan man who’s believed to have robbed and raped an elderly woman in Termoli, a fishing town on the Adriatic coast.

The suspect, who at this point has yet to be named, was arrested last week in the city of Florence after officers from carabinieri spotted him walking down the street. Upon his arrest, the Moroccan was subsequently transferred to the Solliciano prison where he will stay while he awaits trial, the Italian daily La Nazione reports.

The arrest comes roughly three months after the suspect, who had been in the process of burglarizing the victim’s home, is said to have attacked and raped the elderly woman after he realized that she was in the house. Following the sexual assault, the 28-year-old migrant is said to have fled the scene with gold, cash, and other valuables that had been in the victim’s home.

Upon subsequent investigations into the incident, police managed to recover CCTV surveillance footage which captured a single frame of the man whose face matched the description the victim described to police. The image was then used by investigators to identify the suspect. 

“It was a complex investigation that touched the soul of every police officer involved,” Giancarlo Conticchio, the police commissioner in charge of the case, said.

“The video surveillance cameras were very important to solve the case, but the collaboration of the victim, a truly smart woman, was also fundamental. She was precise and punctual in providing important details,” he added. 

Unfortunately, migrant attacks against the elderly have become increasingly common throughout Western Europe. 

Earlier this month, an elderly woman was left was severe head injuries after a group of Moroccan’s allegedly pushed her off a bus in Antwerp. Video footage of what appears to have been an ethnically-motivated attack has been uploaded to the internet.

In October of 2020, a similar attack took place on a commuter train in Reims, France which saw a young Black man attack an elderly man after the man allegedly asked the youth to wear his facemask properly. The incident, which was captured on video, shows the youth standing on his seat before throwing several kicks and punches in the direction of the elderly man. Fortunately, due to a commuter who intervened, the elderly man walked away from the incident unharmed.

A few months earlier, in August, a Moroccan migrant who had been convicted of robbing and assaulting seven elderly women in cities along the Belgian coast has his prison sentence slashed in half — from four years to two years. During the string of assaults and robberies, the Moroccan stole jewelry, wallets, and handbags. According to the prosecuting attorney, some of the elderly victims sustained injuries during the robberies.

Deputy First Minister of Scotland John Swinney has been urged to drop vaccine passports after a new Oxford study found the double-jabbed are just as likely to pass on Covid to unvaccinated people.

The Times has reported on the failure of vaccines in curbing transmission, suggesting that new laws requiring proof of vaccination to enter football grounds and nightclubs would be untenable.

Swinney claimed that he knew about the research but said he would nevertheless press on with vaccine passports in clubs and sports stadiums.

The “theoretical option” proposed by the Deputy First Minister is however facing a huge backlash. Customers will soon be required to show a negative Covid test as well as a vaccine certificate before being allowed to attend more indoor venues including pubs, restaurants, gyms and cafés.

Researchers found the vaccinated were almost as infectious as the unvaccinated 12 weeks after their second AstraZeneca shot. The waning effectiveness of vaccines after 12 weeks was underscored by the Nuffield Department of Medicine, based at the University of Oxford, which co-developed the AstraZeneca vaccine.

“Transmission reductions declined over time since second vaccination, for Delta reaching similar levels to unvaccinated individuals by 12 weeks for [AstraZeneca] and attenuating substantially for [Pfizer-BioNTech]. Protection from vaccination in contacts also declined in the three months after second vaccination.”

The Lancet published similar findings last month showing that “the vaccine effect on reducing transmission is minimal in the context of Delta variant circulation”.

Statistics from Switzerland reveal that 61 per cent of men who kill their wives in the country come from migrant backgrounds, despite migrants only making up around a quarter of the country’s population.

For the last ten years, Switzerland has seen a steady rate of around twenty women murdered by their partners each year.

Swiss Federal Statistical Office figures for 2020 note that 61 per cent of perpetrators of spousal homicide that year were foreigners, while the total foreign population of Switzerland sits at around 25 per cent, a report from the newspaper 20 Minutes states.

Frank Urbaniok, the Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology of the Canton of Zurich, told the newspaper that “cultural influences play a role and not taking them into account is a mistake.”

Migrants from regions such as North Africa, Turkey, and the Balkan countries are said to be massively overrepresented in spousal homicide statistics. Some have argued that other factors, such as economic issues, also may play a role in the trend.

Domestic violence cases, including homicide, have been seen in many European countries since the height of the 2015 migrant crisis. In May of this year, for example, an Algerian-French dual citizen was accused of shooting his wife and setting her on fire in France.

According to reports, Mounir B. shot his wife several times with a shotgun before he sprayed her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire while she was still alive.

Following his arrest by police, the dual national claimed that he only wanted to “leave marks” by setting her on fire, while a source close to the case claimed that the attack was motivated by the woman wanting to live like a French woman.

Last year, a 37-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker was arrested in the German municipality of Obergünzburg after stabbing his wife to death on a public bus in front of other passengers.

Does it make sense to fight Islamophobia together with radical Islamists? Some people in Berlin seem to think it’s a good idea.

However, Güner Balci, who is the integration commissioner of the Berlin district of Neukölln, is not one of them. She recently criticised a publicly funded study on discrimination against young Muslims in schools. The survey had been conducted in cooperation with mosque communities that were classified as Islamist in constitutional protection reports of the state. “The mosque associations involved in the study represent a ‘who’s who’ of political Islam,” Balci lamented the survey in the newspaper Die Welt on Sunday.

The mosque communities surveyed in the study seem to be exclusively those that, according to Balci, spread a reactionary understanding of Islam. These include, for example, the Teiba mosque in Spandau, which is close to the Muslim Brotherhood and was described in a report by the domestic intelligence service as a “meeting place of Hamas supporters”.

The study, initiated by the “Anlaufstelle Diskriminierungsschutz an Schulen” (ADAS), had asked 274 Muslim youths in different mosque communities about their experiences of discrimination at school. The mayor of Neukölln, Martin Hikel ( Social Democratic Party, SPD), also criticised the methods used by the study’s authors. “With a politically coloured study in cooperation with associations that are under surveillance by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Ms. Yegane discredits herself and endangers the credibility of the contact point for protection against discrimination in schools,” he said about the head of ADAS, Aliyeh Yegane. In addition, there are Muslim pupils in Berlin who are treated derogatorily by strict Muslim fellow pupils because they eat or drink during the day during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Yegane himself defended himself against the accusations. “Our study was focused on ensuring protection against discrimination and freedom of religion and belief in Berlin schools. Against this background, questions of past or current assessments of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution were irrelevant,” she said. Young people who pray in Islamist mosque communities also have a right to basic and human rights at school, Yegane argues.

On the other hand, they did not say why they necessarily claim this in Germany. A majority of the young people interviewed about experiences of discrimination stated that they strictly observe the Muslim fasting commandments and dietary rules. A third said that they pray during breaks between classes and that they practice gender segregation in class. So let’s analyse the whole thing a little more closely: the Muslim migrants who feel discriminated against because of their religion are probably discriminating themselves, at least in part, against fellow Muslim pupils who do not take their religion so seriously. So it’s only natural that they get a reaction.

And if they absolutely want to be in a gender-segregated school: no problem. No one is discouraging them from emigrating to an Islamic country and going to a segregated school there. Quite apart from the fact that, in my experience, about 100 per cent of pupils are discriminated against in public schools. Thanks to the left-wing multicultural ideology of today’s Federal Republic of Germany, it is mainly Germans who get a raw deal. It is doubtful that the German minority in Berlin schools is discriminated against. At most in the form of counter-discrimination after they themselves have been attacked once again.

Usually, however, the locals at Berlin schools tend to try to stay out of trouble. Admittedly, this does not mean peace between the primary and secondary school pupils sentenced to ten years in school. If this questionable study was good for anything at all, it was to point this out and confirm that once again the cat has been set among the pigeons, because if anyone is responsible for Islamophobia at all, it is the Islamists, who take their religion excessively seriously and expect everyone else to do the same. By the way, the ADAS is supported by the Berlin Senate with 210,000 euros a year.
