Switzerland: Police shoot to death a threatening person allegedly armed with a knife who had been ” spotted praying”

Early on Monday evening, police officers opened fire on a man who, according to several witnesses, had been ” seen praying”.

“Everything happened very quickly, but when I saw all the police cars, firemen and sirens, I quickly understood that something serious was going on,” explained Bruno*, an employee of a café in the new railway station district, the scene of a completely unexpected scenario in this city on Monday evening, as if a movie was starting to play in front of the residents’ and railway users’.

According to several witness statements in unison recorded by the newspaper Journal de Morges, the witnesses first saw a man praying and then very agitated on platform No. 4, which separates the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) services from the BAM, the small regional train.

Others mention a knife, and while we wait for the testimony of the gendarmerie that will shed light on this tragedy, the travellers who were still on the scene at 9pm agree that several shots were fired.

A man is said to have been found on the edge of the tracks and the hearse sent to the scene leaves little doubt, even if the lack of official confirmation means that the facts are unclear.

(…) “We can’t stand this neighbourhood any more,” declares one resident. A year ago there was a murder in the kebab shop, people hang around there in the morning and in the evening, and we are starting to get scared. Above all, we have the impression that no one is doing anything to impose law and order.”

Germans fear a new influx of refugees

More than two thirds of Germans expect a new wave of refugees to Europe because of the Afghanistan crisis. Accordingly, 70 percent feared an influx of refugees, as a survey by the opinion research institute YouGov on behalf of a German daily revealed.

A majority of those questioned in the poll from Die Welt, are not in favor of taking in Afghan refugees and distributing them within the EU either. Only 28 percent were in favor of this. On the other hand, 49 percent were of the opinion that the refugees in the neighboring Afghan states should receive financial aid from the EU. Ten percent were generally in favor of a different approach, and 13 percent did not provide any information.

Meanwhile, FDP General Secretary Volker Wissing called for all Afghan local staff to be included who had worked for Germany in the past two decades. “Germany must take in everyone who has helped Germany,” he told Bild-Live. At the same time, he called for clarification as to why the federal government had so far only evacuated a few local workers. Obviously, it was not properly prepared for the situation, he said.

It became known over the weekend that among the around 4000 Afghans evacuated from Germany so far, there were only around 100 local workers with 370 family members.

The federal government has so far flown in well over 10 000 refugees to Germany in recent years. As a response to a request from the AfD parliamentary group reported by Junge Freiheit, 2 453 people classified as “in need of protection” from Turkey and Greece were brought to Germany by plane this year by the end of July alone.

The costs “for traveling to and from Germany were borne by the German state,” the request said. Most of them were from Syria and Afghanistan. But refugees from the Congo and Somalia were also flown in.

Between 2017 and 2020, according to the federal government, Germany also received 9 451 people in need of protection to Germany by air. Here, too, travel expenses were borne by the federal government – and thus by the taxpayer. The entries were made via Turkey, Egypt, Kenya, Greece, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Jordan and via the evacuation mechanism of the United Nations Refugee Agency from Libya via Niger.

The lowest number was 1 467 flown in due to the Corona pandemic last year. The government was unable to provide precise information on the total costs in its response. Between 2010 and 2010 the costs amounted to around 47 million euros. This includes not only the travel costs for the flights, but also the costs for the initial reception, which ends at the latest after a 14-day stay in the Friedland transit camp.

The AfD member of the Bundestag, Stefan Brander, suspected that due to the numbers that are now rising again, the flow of migrants will “pick up speed again” after the Corona year 2020. “The fact that fewer people were flown in in the ‘lockdown year’ should be compensated for again in 2021, since 2 453 so-called ‘vulnerable people’ were flown to Germany in the months of January to July alone and were flown in completely at Germany’s expense,” he said.

The taxpayer must shoulder these very expensive costs. “This makes the escape into a luxury trip that the honest German citizen pays for.” That must be ended immediately, demanded Brandner.

The head of the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Torsten Voss, meanwhile warned of an increasing terrorist threat in Germany after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan. “I am really concerned about the current developments in Afghanistan,” Voss told the taz.

There is now a danger that another terrorist haven will open up there, in which the terrorist network Al-Qaeda was reorganizing itself. The decisive factor was whether the Taliban would again set up an “Islamic emirate based on the old model” in the future. One must also observe whether, as in Syria, foreign volunteers were moving to Afghanistan as fighters.

“All of this could exacerbate the risk situation in Germany in the medium or long term,” warned Voss. The threat situation in this country is already high. “Because ISIS is currently reorganizing itself in cells around the world and trying to make its mark again with attacks. And because the danger from lone perpetrators persists.”

The terrorist attack on the airport in Kabul, which resulted in numerous deaths, also showed, according to the head of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, that the Islamic State (ISIS) and Taliban are hostile to each other and “that ISIS only allows its Islamist ideology”. An “offshoot” of ISIS had admitted to the bombing last week, he said.

While Germany wants to take at least 70 000 more AfghansJapan has taken less that 20. Fifteen days after the fall of the Afghan capital, the Japanese have evacuated only fifteen people out of 500.

A Japanese and about fifteen Afghans, no more. The planes of the military mission sent by Japan to Afghanistan were certainly able to land in the middle of the week at Kabul international airport but landed on Friday in Pakistan with fewer than 20 individuals in all. The C-2 and the two C-130 planes dispatched had hoped to evacuate around 500 people (some Japanese nationals and especially Afghans who had worked for the Japanese organizations) who wanted to leave the country. But the latter were unable to get to the airport and Tokyo simply ignored them.

The embassy there was closed on August 15, and Japanese diplomats were exfiltrated to Qatar by British aircraft.

Large mosque in Vöcklabruck, Austria: Investigative video shows secret plans of the Islamists there to take power

Irfan Peci uncovers: Although they claim that it is only a Bosnian cultural association, the “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” is building a huge mosque. In the future, Muslims from Upper Austria are to be sworn in to “Allah’s” will. Peci’s investigative report from the “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” paints an alarming picture of the Bosnian-Islamic self-conception prevailing there. Because it would be to the Muslims’ own disadvantage to show violence at the moment, they hold back. But they are preparing for better times, for an Islamic state with an Islamic army, following the example of the Prophet Mohammed.

It makes no difference to them whether they live in Bosnia, in Saudi Arabia or in Austria, as the guest preacher at the “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” explains: “This is Allah’s earth!” Muhammad’s repression is exemplified in the mosque congregation. “When can we finally fight back?”, Muhammad’s companions would have asked. But as Irfan Peci analyses the guest speaker’s words, Muslims would first have to wait. Wait until they deliver their strikes. The guest preacher indicates this with slap gestures. Irfan Peci explains that it is a matter of conveying to the outside world something different from what one plans to do oneself. And the plans, according to Peci, are about jihad – the holy Islamic war.

First you have to improve yourself before you change the system, the Bosnian Muslim wisely explains to his believers: “First ask yourself if you have Islamised and disciplined yourself and your family! After that, we’ll see… This is how the Prophet taught and re-educated his companions.” At present, Bosnian Muslims are still in the Mecca stage, as Peci explains. This is followed by the Medina stage.

The preacher explains this stage using the example of Mohammed: only then will an Islamic state, an Islamic government, an Islamic army and an Islamic society be established.

Yet there are already 1.7 billion Muslims, the guest preacher explains. Mohammed only needed 1,500 to found an entire state, he rebukes the devotees in Vöcklabruck: “What is wrong with you?

Peci explains that his investigative research shows what understanding of Islam the community in Vöcklabruck has. And how much the perception of, for example, Green, Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) and Red regional politics of the “dear, Bosnian Muslims” deviates from the self-conception discussed by the community internally.

The “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” consciously presents itself to the outside world as liberal Muslims. But in the community’s self-conception, according to Peci, they adhere to a “hardcore Islam”. Those who do not pray are expelled from the Muslim community, they posted on their Facebook page in Bosnian, as Irfan Peci explains. Besides religious ideas, the “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” also keeps its followers informed about the construction of the mosque. A huge dome will adorn the building, as the construction plans show.

Big plans “for Allah”: This is what the mosque in Vöcklabruck will look like:

The Muslims proudly present themselves on Facebook – The construction work for the new Grand Mosque has already begun: “Allahu akbar, praise be to Allah who has made this possible for us. Preparations for the start of construction of the mosque, Allah willing. We will all participate in the start of the construction of the mosque, Allah willing.” So for them, it is not local politics that made the building project possible, but Allah. Will the people of Vöcklabruck see it that way too?

Excavation work for a large mosque in Vöcklabruck:

Together with “Alif”, a “nationalist, fundamentalist” (according to provincial police director Andreas Pilsl) association, “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” organises joint evenings. According to Peci, “Alif” is close to the Islamist movement “Milli Görus”. And the sermons of an imam of “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” were also quite radical: Whoever is not a devout Muslim will go to hell. Peci believes that the mosque community tends to hide this view from its “friends” in the Greens, Social Democratic Party (SPÖ) and the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP). Last but not least, Dzemat Vöcklabruck worships Bosnian military commanders as martyrs, as Irfan Peci explains in his video.

Peci wonders what the ” Green friends” of “Dzemat Vöcklabruck” think of the Islamist and nationalist preferences of the mosque community there.

Islamic “faith healer” killed childless woman in Berlin, Germany

In a trial about a fatal exorcism by a faith healer at the Berlin Regional Court, two family members of the victim were sentenced to several years in prison on Monday. Another family member received a suspended sentence, the verdicts were for bodily harm resulting in death. The relatives and a so-called faith healer poisoned a 22-year-old woman with salt water.

Nesma M. had to drink salt water for a week. The devil was to be cast out of her, because a hodja (Turkish for Islamic teacher, mentor, imam, editor’s note) wanted to have recognised that evil spirits were responsible for Nesma’s and her husband Wajdi’s childlessness, according to the prosecution. The faith healer, who was also charged, was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of one year and six months and a payment of 1,500 euros for involuntary manslaughter.

The court considered it proven that the victim’s husband, his mother and his father, on the advice of the Islamic faith healer, had given the 22-year-old wife of the main defendant about one and a half litres of salt water a day for a week in December 2015, thus poisoning her. The so-called hodja recommended the procedure in order to exorcise a supposed devil, whom he held responsible for the couple’s childlessness.

According to the court, the woman drank the salt water voluntarily at the beginning. However, her health condition deteriorated visibly. When the woman could no longer drink on her own, her husband and his parents held her down and poured the salt water into her. The woman died after a week in hospital. The 39-year-old husband was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison, his 57-year-old mother to two years and eight months in prison. The 59-year-old father was given a two-year suspended sentence. The trial had started in November last year and lasted for more than 20 trial days.

Badri 313: Who trained the Taliban’s special ops unit?

There have been numerous reports of Taliban Special Forces Units patrolling in Kabul. These units are very different from the traditional set-up of militant groups. And it is evident that the Taliban got the equipment for the battalion – state-of-the-art US military hardware and weapons and the same military equipment used by Afghan forces – from the departing US Army. But who trained them?

The Badri 313 Battalion is currently the elite military unit of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The group takes its name from the Battle of Badr, which happened on March 13, 624 AD, when the prophet Muhammad led a victorious battle with 313 men. Elite Taliban units have been reported as being “critical in the taking over of Afghanistan” according to AFP.

The Taliban also has another elite unit known as the Red Unit.

These troops are ideologically closely aligned with al-Qaeda. Units termed “Army of Badr” first carried out suicide attacks and raids on positions associated with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its allies in 2011, reported the Long War Journal. The Badri 313 Battalion already took part in an attack on G4S’s Kabul compound in November 2018.

After Kabul was captured by the Taliban in 2021, the Taliban reported that Badri 313 Battalion were securing the presidential palace, the Arg and other important sites in the city. It was reported as providing “security” at the Kabul Airport, TRT World reported. On Twitter they were mocked for showing off their CIA training – their index fingers were typically not on the rifle triggers.

The unit was previously featured in promotional materials distributed by the Taliban, showing them to be equipped with state-of-the-art military equipment. In July and August 2021, the Taliban released propaganda on Badri 313 Battalion in local languages, as well as in English and Arabic.

Videos released by the group show Badri 313 soldiers wearing US military night-vision gear, bulletproof jackets in camouflage clothing and modern American rifles and driving around in Humvees.

In fact, the Taliban unit appears to be equipped so well that it is difficult to distinguish between them and other country’s special combat units. According to the British newspaper The Daily Mail, there are now reports that the unit has been patrolling the streets of Kabul since the Taliban took control of the city this month.

According to an India Today report, Badri 313 is designed like any other special forces commando unit that receives training “at unknown locations under Taliban control”.

The Taliban now boasts a large cache of attack and intelligence aircraft, according to India Today, including 22 EMB-314 Super Tucano light-attack aircraft which are equipped with GBU-58 Paveway II laser-guided bombing systems.

They have access to “attack helicopters and precision-guided munitions,” according to Gaurav C. Sawant, senior executive editor with India Today. “They’ve captured six MI-24 heavy attack helicopters apparently gifted to the Afghan Air Force by India in 2019.” These formidable gunships are capable of fearsome, low-level attack in ground fire conditions. This is a cause for grave concern that 11 American MD-530F light-armed helicopters designed for rapid, low-level attack missions and for special operations are now in their hands.

That is in addition to 35 US Black Hawk helicopters, 76 Russian MI-17 utility helicopters, 5, Cessna Combat Caravan airplanes, and 12 Pilatus PC-12 aircraft — used for intelligence gathering and rapid transport.

The biggest aircraft the Taliban now have access to, is the C-130 Hercules, Sawant said. “This is one aircraft that is used by the Indian Air Force, by the American Air Force, by modern air forces across the world. [They are] capable of special operations even from unprepared runways. Hugely flexible for a number of military transport operations including special forces operations. If the Taliban can get them off the ground, imagine what this means for the Taliban.”

Reports say that the Taliban’s special commandos played a key role in Afghan offensive and are now responsible for the security of Kabul where they can be seen deployed at all key locations, according to the Hindustan Times. Gilles Dorronsoro, who is a specialist on Afghanistan at the Sorbonne University in Paris, said these commandos was part of a larger trend. “We’ve seen a remarkable professionalisation of the Taliban since the middle of the 2000s,” he told AFP.

This has led some pundits to speculate that recent attacks on the airport in Kabul carried out by this special commando unit, may have been instigated by the CIA against US troops, since they were probably armed and trained by the CIA. The New York Times reported last week that the CIA planned to remain in Afghanistan to advance “traditional spycraft against powers like China and Russia”.

More than 100 people were killed, including 13 US soldiers and 90 Afghans, at the airport last Thursday. Moreover, communications in Afghanistan is under the control of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). It controls wireless companies, internet, radio stations and television channels. And the Taliban continue to transmit the visual and testimonial evidence of their actions.

Sweden: Expelled criminal Afghans arrive in Stockholm after boarding evacuation flight in Kabul

Two Afghan convicts who were previously deported and banned from re-entering Sweden are back in the country after having successfully managed to board an evacuation flight out of Kabul.

The two men were promptly apprehended and taken into police custody sometime Wednesday at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport for violating the re-entry ban that had been issued following the completion of their criminal sentences, Swedish broadcaster TV4 Nyheterna reports.

Stockholm police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind has refused to inform the public as to crimes committed by the two men which resulted in their expulsions, saying, “I will not go into details about these people. They have been convicted of crimes in Sweden. They have also served their sentences in Sweden, but since then they have also been sentenced to deportation and a re-entry ban for a number of years to come.”

“I think that anyone who has seen the pictures from Kabul and the airport realizes that the situation isn’t quite simple when it comes to conducting border control there,” Skagerlind added.

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde has not yet commented on the matter, despite requests from the national media to do so. It remains entirely unclear just how the pair of convicted criminals managed to board the evacuation flight out of the Afghan capital.

The likelihood that the two Afghans will be repatriated in the near future is next to zero since Sweden’s pro-mass migration, leftist government halted all deportations to Afghanistan last month.

Earlier this month, ministers from Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, and Germany sharply criticized the decision in a letter sent to Swedish EU Commissioner Ylva Johansson, saying: “Stopping the return sends the wrong signal and will probably motivate more Afghan citizens to leave their homes to travel to the EU.”

Sebastian Kurz, Austria’s conservative chancellor, made it clear in June that his government would not be stopping deportations to Afghanistan or easing its asylum laws after two Afghan men were arrested for allegedly drugging, raping, and killing a 13-year-old girl.

According to investigators, the pair of Afghans drugged the girl and brought her to one of their apartments where they raped her. The men then went on to murder her. The young teenager’s body was subsequently found by passersby on the lawn in front of a home somewhere in the Austrian capital.

Approximately 90,000 people have been flown out of the Afghan capital since Aug. 14, some 800 of which have landed in Sweden.

In July, a fighting-age, male migrant from Afghanistan who had arrived in Sweden in 2018 was sentenced to life in prison for going on a stabbing rampage that injured seven people, three of them seriously.

On Easter weekend a few months earlier, Swedish security police Säpo arrested a pair of Afghan migrants — a man and a woman — for allegedly planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the Stockholm area.

In the heart of Vienna: Arab mob beats up son of Austrian soccer legend

During a robbery of a group of young Viennese in front of the Museum of Art History (KMH) at a prime city location, the son of football legend Ernst Baumeister was also injured. Now the young man (23 years old) dares to go public – with an urgent appeal and a criticism.

The case happened some time ago, Pascal Baumeister needed time to come to terms with what he had suffered. What is said to have happened on the night of June 25 in front of the Museum of Art History – at the best Viennese location – is shocking. The 23-year-old was sitting peacefully on the steps in front of the KHM with four friends, two boys and two girls, listening to music.

Suddenly, a group of eight young men (about 17 to 20 years old, with a migration background, apparently from the Arab region) approached. The gang provoked, mobbed, got physical, pulled out knives. And then even ended up in a fist-fight.

The three boys tried to protect their two girlfriends, Baumeister went down with a concussion, lost consciousness and a tooth. The gang stole watches and a mobile phone. And escaped under the cover of night.

Nearby, the victims spotted a police patrol, but the hoped-for help did not happen. “When asked why they did not intervene, the police officer in the car said that it was not her territory. But she had called for colleagues,” the victims tell disappointedly. A version that the Viennese police rejected on request.

Baumeister has buried the hope that the brutal gang of robbers will be investigated and brought to justice. He urges caution: “You are no longer really safe even in the fanciest districts of Vienna.”

Switzerland: Vaccination centres could be target of Islamist terrorists, intelligence warns

The Swiss Federal Intelligence Service (SRS) warns of possible jihadist terrorist attacks on coronavirus vaccination facilities, including vaccination centres and transport and production facilities, reports the German-language newspaper NZZ am Sonntag, which was also taken up by Le Matin and Bloomberg on August 29.

“Attacks on such targets would involve large crowds as well as intense media coverage,” SRS spokeswoman Isabelle Graber was quoted as saying by Bloomberg. So far, however, there are no concrete indications of planned attacks, the service said.

In Switzerland, the army is responsible for “the logistics and protection of vaccines and vaccination material”. “This vital supply for the entire population is stored in Armed Forces facilities that are equipped to ensure correct and safe storage. The first vaccines have already been delivered to the cantons,” she said in December 2020.
