“129 more Kufars to eliminate”: French court sentences two Islamists

On Friday September 10, the criminal court of Lille had to deal with two very different Islamist criminal profiles. The first, the one with the less disturbing profile, is called Quentin Seiller and is 32 years old, as reported by La Voix du Nord. He had already gotten a visit from the police a few weeks ago. They had come to warn him that the content he was posting on social networks had been noticed. He did not listen to them and now shows himself far less proud and whines in court. A ” script ” for a homemade bomb was found in his phone. And on Facebook he sometimes posts scenes of beheadings. When the judge asks him about a possible membership in Daesh, he is shouted: ” The EI? You have been brainwashed! I never swore allegiance to the EI! In an attempt to save his case, his lawyer recalled that his client had been radicalised in prison. Quentin Seiller, with tears in his eyes, thanked the French intelligence services for “opening his eyes to the ambiguity” of his messages. Without much success, as he was sentenced to two years in prison, 18 months of which were suspended.

The second criminal profile is even more alarming. Nejib Hadj Amar is 19 years old and lives in Hem, in a suburb of Lille. If the first suspect was too talkative, this suspect says almost nothing about his trial. It must be said that this is his second trial for justifying terrorism. The first had led to his dismissal from the army and the end of his career as an elite soldier, according to La Voix du Nord. He is accused of several tweets. For example, a post with a photo of 129 police officers recently appointed in Lille, with the comment: ‘129 more Kufars to eliminate’. And in his tweet he linked … to the account of the Police of the North. He is sentenced to three years in prison in this case.
