For months, the Spanish exclaves of Ceuta and Melilla have been overrun by hordes of thousands of Africans, some of them violent. The fact that a normal life in the cities near the African continent is almost unthinkable is shown again and again in frightening videos.
Africans armed with AK-47s
The Spanish journalist and political activist Rubén Pulido has been documenting the violence there, mostly organized by trafficking gangs, for years. The latest escalation is a gun battle between apparently rival African gangs in the streets of Ceuta. According to eyewitnesses, shots were even fired from AK-47 assault rifles.
It is unthinkable if the criminals succeed in “escaping” across the borders to mainland Europe, which Pulido assumes they will, since the socialist Spanish government has been doing little to combat the stampede of illegal migrants for months.
