At the weekend, a violent attack was committed by an Afghan in East Tyrol. The asylum seeker (21) attacked two Austrians (21 and 24) with a glass bottle in the entrance area of a night club in Lienz.
The two men were seriously injured by the attack – the perpetrator fled. It was not until the next day that the suspected perpetrator was spotted in the town. The police arrested him and questioned him about the crime. He was reported at large despite the serious injuries to the two Austrians. An enquiry by eXXpress to the Tyrolean Provincial Police Directorate on the background of the crime remained unanswered for the time being.
