Several traffic lights in the Austrian capital Vienna stopped functioning due to a power outage, police reported.
The busy area around the Vienna Gürtel was particularly affected. According to the Vienna police, there were considerable traffic disruptions there. The districts of Josefstadt, Alsergrund, Währing and Döbling were affected by the power failure.
In the meantime, the problem has been solved and all traffic lights are working again. Whether this is related to the financial problems of Wien Energie cannot be ruled out.
