The most important German Islamic association seeks justifications for the Hamas massacre and does not concede Israel the right to self-defence!
The Central Council of Muslims in Germany initially criticised Hamas’ terror excess in Israel on X (formerly Twitter) with a tight-lipped tone – and at the same time demanded that “all sides must now immediately cease hostilities”.
In other words, the association does not recognise Israel’s undisputed right to self-defence under international law! The terrorists, who are still on Israeli soil, should therefore not be fought any further.
Unbearable: In the very next sentence, the killings of over 700 people committed by Hamas are justified by Israel’s policies.
► The statement says that it is deeply disturbing that “settlers flanked by the Israeli army have been attacking Palestinian villages and the Al-Aqsa mosque for two years without the international community intervening”.
In other words, the association is trying to find justifications for the barbaric murder of Israeli civilians, the abduction of dozens of women and children!
Kemal Ergün, head of the Islamic Community Milli Görüs (IGMG, close to the Turkish government), also spoke succinctly on X of “spirals of violence and tensions between Israel and Palestine”.
For these nebulous statements, the Islamic associations are reaping scathing criticism – also from Muslims!
► Islamism expert Ahmad Mansour told BILD: “Everyone is a partner who is willing to offer a Friday prayer where he condemns terror and celebrations, and stands by Israel’s right to exist. But so far I haven’t heard anything about that.”
The Central Council of Jews in Germany said: “The Muslim associations in Germany have unfortunately failed to take a clear position on the war in Israel. The threat to Jewish institutions also here in Germany shows that the terrorists are not only concerned about Israel, but that Jewish life is questioned by them everywhere.”
Anyone “who cheers the murder by Hamas on German streets and distributes sweets on this occasion” must be examined to see what consequences will be drawn by the constitutional state.
