Police officers have to endure a lot on their missions. Most criminals are not exactly squeamish towards law enforcement officers. Odae A. (32), however, went massively over the top. Now the Syrian has been sentenced in absentia by the Dresden District Court.
The police were called to a high-rise building on Michelangelostraße. There, Odae had allegedly beaten up a woman in a flat with a glass ashtray and a metal bar.
When the officers arrived, Odae was lying in bed. Instead of the requested papers, he presented his exposed genitals to the police officers, demanded sex and rumbled: “You are not men! I will destroy Germany.”
The police officers took him away for a blood sample – not unopposed.
The Syrian did not appear at the trial. Because the case happened more than two years ago, the accused had a mixture of alcohol and drugs in his blood at the time and had no previous convictions, he received a penalty order.
In other words: a verdict without a trial. Odae was sentenced to eleven months in prison. The sentence was suspended.
