Outgoing German Health Minister Jens Spahn signed a regulation for a higher remuneration for the doctors injecting the Corona vaccines in mid-November. The regions are also rewarded.
The financing for the planned acceleration of the Corona vaccinations in Germany is regulated: The federal government will now pay half of the vaccination centers in the federal states until at least the end of April 2022, according to a regulation signed by the Health Minister Jens Spahn.
This was previously planned for the end of the year. In addition, participating doctors are to receive 28 euros per vaccination as compensation instead of the previous 20 euros and 36 euros on weekends.
Spahn told the German Press Agency: “The vaccination campaign must pick up speed again. That way we protect ourselves better in the second winter of the pandemic. The doctors in private practice and the vaccination centers play a decisive role in this. That is why the federal states are given planning security in financing the vaccination centers. And we are noticeably improving the remuneration for every single vaccination in the doctor’s office.”
Most participating doctors have become very wealthy from this jab boon. They earn around €500 per day, amounting to an extra income of €10 000 per month. The government has shown little interest in studies warning againstcontinuing the mass medical experiment.
From funding untested jabs to appointing a clown as health minister
The designated Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, a frequent guest on TV talk shows and vigorous tweeter, will be taking over from Spahn. Unfortunately, a large part of his utterances are unadulterated lies and he is considered somewhat of a clown in Germany.
Lauterbach’s Covid disinformation was listed by the tagesschau.de. He is known for spreading panic and excels at fear-mongering. Lauterbach never admits his mistakes either.
His unsubstantiated claims have been enumerated, from lying about “high hospitalization rates among children in Great Britain”, to alleged studies that people age more quickly after Covid-19, to the claim that the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca has glossed over its incidence figures so as not to damage tourism.
“A lot still needs to be done for the many who have survived Covid. Studies clearly show that the disease significantly accelerates the aging process. You age in fast motion and will be more susceptible to chronic diseases,” Lauterbach opined.
On September 12, Lauterbach tweeted about a study on the risk of restaurant visits with regard to the risk of infection. In his tweet he claimed: “Going to restaurants and cafés” would “more than double the risk of corona infection. […] Even going to the terrace increased the risk,” said Lauterbach.
But the study that he linked never examined the difference between indoor and outdoor spaces in bars and restaurants.
He recently claimed that cannabis had been added to heroin, which can be smoked, and that this drives users into a heroin addiction. This is how he presented his argument for the legalization of cannabis. In an interview with the Rheinische Post, he advocated allowing controlled distribution to adults.
“For years I refused to legalize cannabis. In the meantime, as a doctor, I have come to a different conclusion,” said Lauterbach. “More and more often, the illegally sold street cannabis is being mixed with a new type of heroin that can be smoked. This quickly drives cannabis users into a heroin addiction.”
However, the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office of Criminal Investigation (LKA) is not aware of any cases of cannabis that has been laced with heroin. The investigators did not have any information in this regard, the LKA confirmed upon request. A leading toxicologist said that even in exchange with colleagues from forensic medicine and other state criminal investigation offices from all over Germany, no such cases were reported nationwide.
Lauterbach is considered by most as a public health danger.
Stringency index
Germany now has the highest stringency rating in the world, with nothing to show for it in terms of combating the virus, especially compared to the UK and Sweden. The stringency index is a composite measure based on nine response indicators including school closures, workplace closures, and travel bans, rescaled to a value from 0 to 100 (100 = strictest).
