Paris: Arrested after a knife attack, a suspect with an entry in the terrorism register S flees from a psychiatric hospital before being recaptured by the police – Another escape and re-arrest by the police

A 31-year-old man with an S-card, suspected of an attempted murder with a knife on June 5 in central Paris, was arrested by the police for the second time this week, although he had escaped again from the psychiatric hospital where he had been taken.

Police sometimes bemoan the fact that they keep arresting the same people. This was the case this week in the capital. According to information from Actu17, a 31-year-old man charged with “attempted manslaughter” after seriously injuring a 50-year-old man with a knife in the street in the III arrondissement on June 5, was arrested for the second time this week after again escaping from the psychiatric hospital in Saint-Maurice (Val-de-Marne).

(…) The suspect, who is listed on Fiche S for activities related to terrorism, was again arrested by police officers from the centre’s anti-crime brigade (BAC)… three days after he was previously arrested by the same officers when he was already on the run. He was to be taken back to the clinic in the evening.
